Had a great dining experience here last week. It was a late Thursday, around 9PM when we arrived. Everything I tried on the menu was delicious. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. I recommend!

Been to several dinners and a few lunches at Kyoto. To those that have never been to a Japanese restaurant people assume that everything is served raw. I tell you, that is so far from true. If you've never been, you are definitely missing out!

This is the first time I have tried Kyoto and I must say I was very happy with our experience. The sushi was delicious and the service was great. They also have a hibachi so it would be good for big groups. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because they dont have their liquor license so you can't order saki, other than that everything was great!

Was in Stillwater for a college visit on a Friday during Lent so thought Sushi would be a good lunch idea but seriously thinking "really, we are going to get Sushi in STILLWATER, OK???" It was surprisingly good and the lunch special is a great deal. $10 or $12 depending on which rolls you choose, for soup, salad, fried rice and your sushi. Honestly way too much food but the salad was pretty good. I only nibbled on the fried rice because I wanted to have room for my sushi. The soup was gross but I don't like soup at any Chinese/Japanese place so that's my issue. If I were in Stillwater again and in the mood for sushi I would go back.

Great sushi every time we come! Fresh delicious and affordable especially at lunch time! Tiger roll is my favorite but Noel is very good too! Bring a ground for the hibachi and enjoy the entertainment!

Where's the fish? Was not impressed with the rolls at all. Rolls were not filling at all. Nothing but avocado cream cheese and rice. This will be my first and last time going there. So we are heading to McDonald's to eat after this.

I've been to many, many, many Japanese restaurants and this was a let down. The miso soup was awful, the salad tasted like they poured mayo and horseradish on it. However, there sushi is some of the best I've ever had. I'm not a big fan of teriyaki-based hibachi food but it was pretty good as well. I'll come here again for the sushi but that's about it.

It took them 40 minutes to fill my to-go order instead of 20. While I waited, they offered me a drink... Which they ended up charging me for. Why do sushi restaurants in Stillwater have such poor service?

Birthday dinner night. We did the 2 for$50. Includes salad, soup,California roll, shrimp, beef and chicken along with excellent stir fry zucchini, onions and mushrooms with fried or steamed rice. Then when your so full already you get a choice of desserts. I had excellent fried bananas!! Great restaurant. Really enjoyed They've been open since 1987 so they are doing something right. Skilled chef also very entertaining.

Probably the place to eat Japanese in Stillwater. Been to lots of birthdays here. Everyone wants to celebrate at Kyoto. Good food but on the higher end.

Our group went there for our Christmas dinner. It was a delicious dinner and Skylar was an excellent hibachi chef: very personable, talented and could handle the knives (thankfully) with aplomb! This is a great place for a special occasion with friends especially if you can fill up the hibachi table of 10. The price was reasonable and we even had leftovers to take home!

One of two hibachi restaurants I am of aware of in Stillwater. This one isn't bad, particularly to the several we used to dine at frequently in Tulsa. The owner is quite hilarious and enjoys entertaining with his magic tricks. The only room for improvement here every time we go the hostesses don't seem to want to be there and will NOT bring you drinks...stating that's the waiter's job. And it takes awhile to finally get the drinks, so be prepared for that. Hopefully they will add drinks to the hostess duties since they just stand around.

I go here every year on my birthday! Best place to get hibachi in Stillwater. A little pricy but worth it.

I was a regular at this place when it first opened...back in ...1997? Went back recently. We got 4 bento boxes.....if you don't know what bento boxes are, you're hopeless.... Calamari bento boxes 5/10 Dang.....I;ve never had calamari this hard! It was hard to chew Tofu teriyaki 6/10 Fried tofu swimming in teriyaki sauce. The sauce was really sweet Salmon teriyaki 6/10 same teriyaki sauce, so what else can I say? Just too sweet for my tastebuds. One bite and I was gasping for air Shrimp tempura 9/10 not bad....three pieces of shrimp tempura and lots of battered veggies California roll 5/10 bleh.....couldn't really taste the fish...where was the fish in that? We sat at tatami room. It was almost 2 pm and there were only a handful people in there. It was definitely better back in 1997

We were in town for a basketball game and tried Kyoto based on yelp reviews. Dinner at a Japanese steak house is sometimes tricky because of your fellow dinner guests. Our fellow diners were rude, non-friendly asses, with a little blonde who tried to make it all about her...but I digress. The restaurant itself was fine, standard Japanese steak house stuff. The wife ordered salmon and I had chicken & shrimp, both orders were good. The salmon had a wonderful glaze, and the chicken had a teriyaki taste to it, we were pleased with both. Our "chef" looked to be more Osage than Japanese, but prepared the food okay. He was very quite, and didn't engage the diners much, but that could have been because "blondie" wouldn't shut up about her sushi knowledge and wasabe preferences. He was very messy and didn't seem to prepare in the order we're used to in the Okc metro, but he got thru it. The important thing was that he knew how to prepare the foods accurately. We would probably eat here again and just hope for a more friendly group. Our bill for the two of us was just a little over $40, and neither of us had any alcohol.

Awesome! A little expensive on a college budget, but soooo worth it!!! Go here, really- it's a Japanese steakhouse for a reason, the steak is great. And the hibachi bar is great for groups or a date.

One of my favorite places in Stillwater! The hibachi is as good as anywhere (especially the filet). The sushi is fine, nothing special. If you have tried Sushi Neko in OKC or In The Raw in Tulsa, you will probably be disappointed. It just wasn't as fresh as I would have liked. Many of their rolls included cream cheese, and I mean LOTS of cream cheese. I typically would rather have more fish, rice, and veggies in my rolls instead of lots of cream cheese, but to each his own. Probably one of the more pricey places in Stillwater -- usually costs us around $50-$60 for two people with no alcohol. We still frequent this place and plan to until we move!

Pretty good Japanese food. It can get expensive depending on what you order, but the prices are usually reasonable for what you get.
