It is with a heavy heart that I update my review for this place with one star instead of the stellar one that I had given them previously. DISCLAIMER: This is not a reflection of the yummy dishes I've tried nor the stellar customer service I've received by bartenders, waiters/waitresses, AND cooks. Only it's poor management and dumb company policies. It is World Cup season. The most watched and awaited for event that comes once every four years. Mexicans are some of the top futbol fans. So it is only logical, as a business/restaurant owner/manager (especially of a Mexican-inspired one) to provide offers/deals/specials during this time to attract viewers and therefore customers to their venue and tap into the money making that goes on during the season. So Los Cabos is taking advantage of that right? Nope. NOT SO. Instead, they're doing the exact opposite, which makes absolutely no sense. When "company policies" compromise your revenue making ability, you should probably question/change/make exceptions to them and seek to please as wide and a diverse range of customers as possible. After having watched the entire first half of the Mexico vs Cameroon game on the channel of my choice (thanks Stephanie!), the manager rudely made the bartender turn off the volume during halftime while I walked off for a second. When I come back, the bartender informs me that she had orders to do so because it is against their rules. I proceed to talk to the manager and inform her that the game is the only reason why I came in and while halftime would be a prime opportunity for me to leave and find another watch spot, having a full margarita and a hot plate of food is not exactly convenient. She then goes on about how it's company policy to have the volume off on all TVs (even during the Super Bowl-which is hard for me to believe and if so, that's just dumb/good to know!) since Los Cabos is not a sports bar. NOTED. I must have communicated my exasperation enough for her to "allow" a low volume on the only TV at the bar. For the record, I was the ONLY customer at the bar side of the restaurant for the entire first half AND when people came in, I asked if having the volume on bothered then and they said "absolutely NOT", especially at the bar area. If the policy's reasoning is to not disturb customers, then I can tell you right now, it doesn't. I've heard of other restaurants not being able to turn up the volume due to some weird subscription requirement. That's a bit more understandable if explained in a nice manner, but it wasn't. So the bottom line here is it's not what you do, but really the way you do it. Needles to say, this is the LAST time I'll attempt to watch a game here and probably the last time I come in to this location (such lack of regard for customer satisfaction leaves a bad mouth taste if you know what I mean). Oh and this other American customer mentioned how TVs were on all the time on another location (maybe Jenks?). So, they not only have lost MY meaningless business, but also all of my friends' and soccer loving peeps. This is what bad business management is all about. Way to go Cabos. And I didn't even go into the way you treat your own Hispanic staff... Anyways, thanks for allowing me to vent Yelp. I feel much better now. :0)

Our favorite place to have a great meal and listen to great music at the same time. Always a tasty beef enchiladas and a very top notch wait staff.

The Bartenders Josh & Candace were terrific. If you don't try Josh's horny toad margarita then you haven't lived. Great stuff! BostonJosh###

My experience was less than pleasant. It started by being seated for dinner in the bar, even though the dining room was basically empty. When we asked to be seated in the dining room, we were asked to explain our concerns directly to the 17 year old hostess. The manager walked up and was as rude and uninterested in providing excellent customer service, as the hostess. After finally being seated in the dining room, our drinks arrived. My mother in laws glass was coated with Queso - on the inside! Thank goodness we noticed it before she took a drink. Needless to say. We won't be back. (Our waitress was very sweet and kind!)

I have to say, I love the Los Cabos in Jenks. I appreciate that there are gluten free menu options and I was so excited for my food. We were with a big party for lunch and I ordered enchiladas with corn tortillas. When the food arrived, I ate a bite and realized they were flour tortillas. I can't eat flour and the waitress had put the ticket in correctly. She took the food away and I waited and waited and got my food as everyone else was getting their checks. I had to box it up and didn't get to eat my lunch. It ended up being $19 with a tip for two enchiladas and a salad and water. These are high prices, and I don't mind paying them for good food and service. The waitress did a fantastic job, but I think the management didn't do the right thing by making me pay full price, when I ate food that could make me sick and had to leave the restaurant without eating. I will not be going back to this location.

Don't ask for a frozen margarita in a large glass. They don't have them. Seated in a large cafeteria style room hot and loud. Ordered the Los Cabos sampler for the first time to share with my wife. It was actually pretty good and just right for the two of us. Service was good...

Not my favorite Mexican restaurant in town, but it is always consistent. There is one dish I really like here and that's the Fajita Chicken Enchiladas. They are covered in a delicious sour cream sauce and shredded cheese. I do wish they had fajita peppers & onions inside them also, because they are basically just grilled chicken enchiladas. I love the rice mixed with a healthy portion of salsa. I have never liked their refried beans though. They just have an odd taste. My husband loves their borracho beans. Their salsa is very good and the chips are always fresh. The best thing about this place is I have never had to wait to be seated. No matter how packed the parking lot looks, we always get right in because this place is huge! We always have great service too.

I had the enchilada especial. It was ok. My dad had the ribs which were surprisingly good for a tex mex restaurant. My mom had the stacked enchiladas and my husband had the quesadilla. They both said it was ok. We ordered desert and it was tasty. Overall I will come back but I will order something different.

Really good food. Can be rather noisy when its busy. Is a little pricey compared to other mexican restaurants but the food quality makes it worth it.

I'm on a low carb diet so there's only so many things you can eat at a Mexican restaurant so when I chose a salad I was really looking forward to the chicken in the salad. I ordered the Tequila lime chicken salad. It came in a good amount time. When I first got it I tested the chicken with my finger to see if it was hot. It was not. Nor was it cold. It was room temperature. It also looked like the kind of chicken you but at the store in the packaged deli meat area. I was so disappointed. I asked the waitress if it was suppose to be hot or cold chicken and she didn't respond and said she would get the manager. He came over and I said I didn't want to eat room temperature chicken. And he offered other food and I declined. They would have accommodated me but I have a thing about sending food back. Never know how vindictive the cooks are, if you know what I mean. So they took it off our bill and I was satisfied with that. The warm salsa is pretty good. Atmosphere is nice. Wait staff is nice.

I eat a plant based diet. (No animal products) Usually, Mexican places are good places for this type of diet. I didn't have that much luck here though.. My first visit, my server did point out that they used broth in the rice, but she didn't point out the cheese on the guacamole, or the sour cream on the black beans. The second visit, the server pointed out the sour cream, but when I asked if they had any dishes I could sub beans for meat, he said no. The veggie fajitas were my only option. They were good enough. But super oily. And $12. Not a place I'm eager to go back to.

I didn't know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. I went with a group from work for dinner. Queso was excellent and the serving was large. Service was very good and servers were very pleasant. Great atmosphere - in a new area of town. I had the mixed fajitas. Chicken, shrimp, steak. Came with shredded cheese and sour cream. I added Guac which was excellent. Only negative was that the tortillas weren't freshly prepared and were store bought from what I could tell. I would recommend for folks traveling to the Tulsa area. Very similar to Dallas area Tex-Mex.

I am a vegetarian and loved the vegetarian options here! Mexican restaurants rarely cater to vegetarian customers...but this place was great! And they have the best corn muffins! Lovely ambience and yummy food!

Way over priced. Service is lousy & food is even worse. I've eaten there 3 times (not by my choice). I refuse to go back. Supposed to have had reservations the last time. I think we still waited about 20 minutes.

Pretty good. It's brand new. We had a very nice waitress. The food came promptly (and they were swamped). I don't really know if the food was anything different than you would get at like a Chimis or any other large corporate Mexican restaurant, but I'd go back

We went to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were greeted at the door by a team of four asking how many for dinner. After about thirty seconds of indecision I recommended we be shown to a booth of our choice. Needless to say there was another round of indecisive chatter and we were finally shown to a booth. Next a very loud/boisterous waitress arrived to take our drink order and push gift card sales. After about ten minutes we got our drinks and the waitress was off again promising to return shortly. Ten minutes later she returned and seemed to be in a rush to get our order. We placed the order and off she went. In what seemed like a very long time our food arrived. Mine was cold and my wife's was incorrect. I forgot to mention that the restaurant was not busy at all. So, again we wait only to be disappointed for a second time with incorrect orders. Finally, I gave up and decided to talk to a manager. With an additional wait, the manager finally arrived. I voiced my concerns only to get the obligatory "I'm so sorry for your bad experience" and off he went without even offering to adjust our bill or to correct our order. Needless to say WE WILL NOT BE BACK! There are many choices for dining out and we will avoid Los Cabos in Owasso at all costs.

I like their rice: its different from every other place, and they give you a choice of refried black or borracho beans. Salsa is spicy and full of flavor. My only negative: prices are very high (even for lunch selections). I wasn't overly impressed with the wait staff either (they seemed irked with our noisy baby in a high chair). It wasn't bad food, just not "wow me outstanding" Mexican food. Similar to other Mexican restaurants in the area (Compadres, El Tequila, etc).

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
