Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Cheapest pizza in town...and it shows. I felt like I was in a building full of drug dealers leering at my breasts while I waited for my bf to order. Guess what, they got our order wrong, and didn't even apologize. They dread-lock guy even said, "**** happens" and laughed. Really? Hey, I know it ain't a 5 star restaurant, but the house-sized manager should know better than to hire these types of low-lifes. We will never go here again.

This review is all things considered. Through college at OU this was (and still is) the ultimate dirt snack venue. Dirt Snack: noun / 'dert/ / 'snak/ : a heavy fourth meal : usually greasy : best enjoyed after bars close Have your dirt snack at Pizza Shuttle (or, have it delivered!) and it will feel like 5 stars. My go-to order is pepperoni pizza and the cheesy bread. However... reheat anything at your own risk. Pizza shuttle is best enjoyed upon immediate delivery. If you eat in PS late at night there may be some questionable movies playing on the TV in the corner... But, there is PACMAN! Thank you, PS. You've cured many ailments of late night hunger.

Pizza Shuttle is seriously the best pizza I've ever had!!! The atmosphere is very casual and the workers are always nice. Their prices are very affordable. I no longer live in Oklahoma and I miss this place. It's always one of the first places I hit when I visit. If you have never tried this place, you better get your butt over there now and grab a pizza pocket! You don't know what you're missing. Pizza Shuttle, I don't know what you do, but don't you ever stop doin it.

I get it -- college students in Oklahoma probably think McDonald's is a great hamburger, so this place is probably good. But it is basically whatever CostCo sells on to a sandwich or pizza. (Evident by their jars of Alfredo sauce in plain view.) Maybe the pizzas were better than my boring sandwich, but it was very lackluster. Also, while they took FOREVER to make it on a slow, 2 pm Sunday afternoon, they didn't even give us our chips or drink to enjoy while we waited. Bad service, bad food, skip this one.

So what Pizza Shuttle has crappy pizza? Sometimes crappy pizza is just what you want. I mean, I really like their veggie pizza and they are super quick. They've messed up my order a couple times, but that's what you get from a place like this. You can't expect perfect service every time and you can't expect their food to be consistent either. Sometimes, your pizza is soggy on the bottom for some scary reason and sometimes it's not. I like to assume it is juice that has leaked from the tomatoes. And that is why Pizza Shuttle receives a whopping 3 stars from me (and pretty much everyone else).

This is a pizza place in a college town for college kids. They deliver to the dorms and all around Norman until late in the night/early in the morning. A lot of people live on this pizza throughout college and it has a huge following because of it. Definitely in a class of it's own and a lot of Normanites/OU alumni I know think it is a class above the rest. Things may have changed since I last had it back in 2008, so I'll have to do some testing when I go to back this fall for a football game.

Why is the bread at Pizza Shuttle better than the bread at Subway? Pizza Shuttle has a solid turkey provolone sub that has yet to be matched by any other sub shop I've tried. Two can split a sub and small pizza for under $15. Pizza has a little bit of spice to the sauce that makes it better than regular chains. Don't judge this place by the exterior. Don't judge it by the college kids that work there. It's cheap and tastes great. I manage to get a fix everytime I'm in Norman since they deliver almost anywhere and have coupons in all the hotel phone books.

This pizza is an insult to pizza everywhere. I will never eat this 'pizza' again.

I've been eating Shuttle for over 20 years. When I was a kid, my friend and I used to mow lawns and spend all of our earnings ordering Pizza Shuttle. The good: there's something about the pizza and subs here that is just really tasty and hits the spot. Shuttle uses a unique pizza sauce that's thick and has tasty spices. The subs are served on rolls baked daily by La Baguette (note: if you order a sub on Sunday, the bread is baked from refrigerated dough but any other day it's bread baked at La Baguette's bakery). The bad: Not the cleanest place in the world. I remember when I was a kid, my Mom and I went into the Robinson St. location to pick up a pizza and some guy hopped up on the counter where they were rolling out the pizza dough, ran his fingers through his greasy, long hair, and said "man, I need a shower." Everything gets cleaned with weak pink dish detergent. That said, it's never made me sick. Also, when you order a pizza with beef on it, they put clumps of raw, cheap ground beef on top which cooks when the pizza does, leaving a nasty, greasy mess. Favorites: TBS sub, cheese, mushroom or (regular not Italian) sausage pizza.

What is in the sauce?! It's kind of spicy. And if you get the pizza AND the turkey sandwich, you will die from happiness. Especially if you have them at about 2 a.m. This is not fancy food. Haters need to back away from their over inflated food egos and just let pizza be pizza. It's a good pepperoni pizza and an excellent sandwich delivered in a timely manner late into the evening.

I have extremely high pizza standards. As far as Oklahoma City pizza goes, Shuttle is acceptable. A lot of people call it "food you eat when you're drunk" or whatever. Sure. But unless you're just desperate to eat, I'd avoid this restaurant. I've ordered them maybe 10 times in the past 6 months, and I've been disappointed every time. Why order something I hate? Well, this is really the best pizza in Norman. It's not a national chain and delivers/takes orders super, super late. The sauce is a bit tangy, which is nice. But it is really cheap pizza. Lots of bread, very little sauce and toppings, lots of cheese. Terrible quality of toppings, so don't order anything crazy. Usually ends up a greasy mess, and gives me the runs. If you absolutely must have pizza in Norman, this is your only option. But order something simple, and definitely don't plan on eating leftovers the next day. DO NOT ORDER THE WINGS. Gross. Just gross. I ordered some with a couple friends, and none of us ate more than two before throwing nearly the entire order away. Super fatty, uncooked meat. Sauce was a joke. I would have probably gotten poisoned from that order.

A Norman, and particularly campus, classic. Shuttle delivers good pizza and subs, and usually promptly. There are lots of coupons available just about everywhere; notably in the phone book and online. A great deal of Shuttle is delivered late at night, after you've been out for the evening. While I'm not in college anymore (and haven't been for a long time), I do recall fondly those late night Shuttle orders.... I typically get the thin crust over the regular or thick. But, I'll get any of them depending on the mood. The go to sub for me is the TBS: turkey, bacon and swiss. I always add the Italian dressing. It's wrapped in foil and even when delivered, the lettuce stays crispy. Is it the best pizza you've ever had? Nope, and not the best sandwiches either. But, they are consistent, deliver quickly, and offer a lot of options for ordering. I ordered them as a college kid, and I continue to order them as adult. However, I order a lot earlier in the evening now.
