Ozzie’s Diner Menu

As a poor college kid, my friends and I would come to Ozzie's to get super full for super cheap. The atmosphere is a small-town diner plopped next to an airport runway. You can't beat the view. After leaving Oklahoma for a few years, I recently returned for a very early breakfast. Nothing has changed, you still pay in cash, you still have an array of choices to order, the waitstaff are still gems... I love that feeling of something you love that hasn't changed. I hope to return with my kids one day and see them marvel at the planes landing while stuffing their little faces with pancakes.

Aside from those diners who come here out of nostalgia, there is no reason for someone new to come here to expect to eat a good breakfast, because you will not find a good breakfast here. You'll find a plentiful breakfast and you'll find an inexpensive breakfast, but the food you get will be exactly what you pay for. Frozen hash browns, limp toast, dismal eggs, canned biscuits and gravy from a mix, etc. If lots of cheap food is what you're looking for, Ozzie's is the place so come eat up! Everyone else should go elsewhere.

Consistantly the best breakfast in Norman; free wifi too!

Been a long time since I've been at the Norman airport for a meal. Ozzie's was one of my favorites back when I was in college for their all-you-can-eat made-to-order breakfast. Back then it was in the neighborhood of $3. I see price is higher nowadays, no surprise, but glancing over the previous reviews, it looks like the quality of their breakfast might have taken a step back, at least from what I remember. But this review isn't about their breakfast. I was very pleased to see that Ozzie's is still around but I was here at lunch time. I sat down intending to order something like a club sandwich but saw the all-you-can-eat catfish plate at the table next to me and I could not resist. I did not regret it. That was the best catfish I can remember eating anywhere. Crispy southern style cornmeal batter but much lighter than what I've had elsewhere. I'd give this place 5 stars if they'd take my credit card. :-\

This place doesn't look like much, but produces some top notch food. I have eaten here twice and was impressed both times. I had the chicken fried steak for lunch. This was easily one of the top three chicken fried steaks I have eaten and that even includes my mom's!! I also have eaten the fried catfish which was just delicious. The sides are great as well. The green beans or the cabbage are must haves. I can't wait to go back and try the all you can eat breakfast!

Ozzie's is tucked into the main building at Norman's Max Westheimer Airport. Because of it's out-of-the-way location, many people are unaware of it. Sitting in the diner you have a great view of the runway and the small planes coming and going. The diner food here isn't bad, and prices are really inexpensive (the Sunday brunch deal they have is pretty amazing), but for better food and atmosphere stick with The Diner on Main St.

Bring CASH and an APPETITE! It's been a while Yelp, but I thought it time to come back typing away to give you the inside scoop on this quaint, cute, incredibly cheap diner. Ozie's Diner is located inside of a tiny Norman airport. There is an 'All You Can Eat' breakfast. On Sundays there in No French Toast, but still provides you with: eggs (your style choice), pancakes, toast, biscuits & gravy, bacon, sausage, etc. For $6.39 that's quite a deal for a college student, or person in general. I rate it a 4/5 because: -the service is fast, speedy, and KIND even with a big crowd -the food is standard breakfast food and the pancakes were FLUFFY (yum!) -who can complain for cheap All-You-Can-Eat food? I'd say this Diner is a little hidden gem and shows us what Southern hospitality should be all about: kindness, good food, and quaint atmosphere. Please note while I realize the place isn't 'upitty' or expensive, I give it a 4/5 stars based on other breakfast joints. Why go to IHOP when you can go to Ozie's for way cheaper and more food? ;)

In college/grad school, some buddies and I on more than one occasion took advantage of the all you can eat breakfast at Ozzie's. I could do a lot more damage a decade ago than I can now. As other Yelpers note, you have your choice of basic breakfast items: eggs, pancakes, French toast (during the week only), sausage, bacon, ham, biscuits, gravy, toast, hash browns and home fries. You can order what you want, then order repeats from the server. It's only $6.39, no drink included. I would recommend utilizing some strategy if you intend to really gorge. The place can get super packed on weekends, so be warned. After many years, I decided to give Ozzie's a shot again. The food is average breakfast fare. The biscuits are too thick for me, but the gravy was a nice consistency. They either deep fry the sausage, or it was cooked way too long as it was hard and crunchy on the outside and dry on the interior. The French toast was good. The home fries could have used more time on the flat top and a little more seasoning. Hash browns were nicely browned. So, the food won't blow you away, but it's still a very good deal. If you aren't into eating for 6 at breakfast, they have a regular menu as well. Everything is very reasonable, if not cheap. No credit cards, but there is an ATM on site.

If this is Norman's best breakfast, I am sad for Norman. It was average at best. Biscuits were not made from scratch. The gravy was blah. Sausage appeared to be frozen patties. The pancakes were the best thing at our table. Our waitress was borderline rude, rushing us as we ordered. and never asked if I wanted a refill on my obviously empty coffee cup or any other drinks. The restaurant was busy, but not packed. Friendly service might have tempted me to return, but no chance of that.

I visited for the first time last week. I had seen former reviews and decided to check it out. It was definitely worth it. I would recommend checking it out. The food is great and very affordable. The only downside is it's cash only, but they do have an atm there. As a college student I know I will definitely be coming back.

My husband lived in Norman for 8 years, and since we've moved to OKC he has always talked about this delicious and affordable gem. I just assumed that anything would be yummy to a poor college student and dismissed his claim. Last weekend he finally convinced me to come here for breakfast and I was amazed not only by how incredibly fast the service was, but how great the food was as well. We got the all you can eat breakfast for 6.39 and everything tasted like they had a kitchen full of grandmas aiming to please. I devoured biscuits and gravy, pancakes, bacon, hash browns, eggs (cooked to order), and grits. Though it is a bit of a drive to make it a regular breakfast spot for me, I will definitely be returning next time I'm in Norman. Also this place is cash only. I highly recommend stopping by to enjoy the all you can eat breakfast and everything else Ozzie's has to offer.

This place is by far the quickest and easiest breakfast in Norman. Being an early riser I normally beat the crowd so the service is always great and the biscuits are hot and as others have stated the gravy could be better but I have sure had a lot worse. So if fast, good and fair prices are your thing give them a shot.

This is one of my favorite breakfast places in Norman. The atmosphere is relaxed, people are great (including very diverse customers), the tables and chairs are a little sticky, but I consider that as a charm of a classic diner. You cannot beat their price and their generous portion. On top of that, you can see small airplanes come and go. It's a fun place to be on Saturday/Sunday morning. I've recently started finding their food being a bit greasy. Nevertheless, I'd go back there for the experience.

Awesome! We love, love, loved it!! So cute, so nice and hospitable, huge portions, tasty as tasty could be! You can also see the planes taking off or landing if at the right time.

Not far from our house and the kids like to go watch the planes come and go. The food is fast and inexpensive. Not the best in the worlds but good. The Ozzie Burger with the hot dog on it is pretty yum, IMO. I have heard that breakfast is great, but haven't ever made it over for it.

This is probably the best place to grab breakfast in Norman. It is cash only, so come with some handy (though they do have an ATM in the airport.) The all-you-can-eat breakfast is very good and it is reasonably priced. As with any place in Norman it will probably be crowded when OU has a home football game. I've eaten there several Sunday mornings and it has been a relaxed setting. It is nice to sip some coffee and down a variety of breakfast food while watching the (smaller) planes take off and land.

I used to go to this place back in the day when a steak, salad, and veggies was around $6. I was afraid that maybe with the sequestering that threatens to close Westheimer airport that Ozzie's would go too, but I was there on father's day and the joint was jumpin'. Same old same old that I knew when I was a young punk, except now instead of nasty steak for about the same price you get all the breakfast you can eat. It's like the old Waffle House was but without waffles. Is that at terrible description? It's like... a buffet but you tell the waitress what you want. If you finish it you order whatever you want from the waitress, again and again until you want to bust. For that price, let me tell you, it's not awesome. What it is? Breakfast, and lots of it. Hash browns, dry eggs, bacon and sausage (if you're into that), and biscuits and gravy. Not just any gravy, cheap country gravy! It means gravy that has neither the frill of sausage nor sausage grease. Woot! Sure they haven't touched the decor, mostly posters of Marilyn and encouraging sayings written on napkins, since, um, ever. Sure the silverware is über cheap and sometimes dirty. Sure the waitress is taken aback if you try to be even mildly courteous to her. And, sure, they only take cash. But do you know how rare it is to find simple biscuits and gravy when you don't eat meat? Probably not. But, just trust me. Dang rare. I'll be back fo' sho'. So go to Ozzies. For a change of pace or to relive old glory days- it's still there and it hasn't changed hardly a bit. But hurry, who knows how long it will be before people realize not only is it a waste of the government's money to staff TSA and air traffic controllers there, but it is a pretty bad place for an airstrip, and there's not much argument for having it when we have such a gorgeous working airport that people actually use less than a half hour away...

This is a breakfast lovers dream! All you can eat breakfast including your choice of hash browns, eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, biscuit & gravy, pancakes... pretty much the entirety of breakfast items for one low price of $6.39! They also can bring out the dishes to you as you finish the others so the food doesn't get cold while it waits for you to finish all of the yummy goodness that is breakfast. I knew I wouldn't eat more than the regular Ozzie's breakfast order, so I chose not to get the all you can eat, but for extremely hungry patrons who can pack it away, I'd say go for it. It barely costs more than their regular meals anyway. We had great service and if they accepted credit cards, they'd get 5 stars. I didn't know this upon coming to Ozzie's though and ended up having to have a friend pay for me since I rarely carry cash. This is a good, old-fashioned diner and it's always packed so be prepared for a wait on the weekends!

Today my husband and I decided to try this little diner for lunch. We walked in and we were greeted by a very nice lady. She told us that would could sit wherever we like and that she would be with us in a minute. Cool. So we sat down and she comes to bring us a menu and proceeds to ask us what we want to drink. When she brings us our drinks out they are mason jars. I thought this was a cool way to serve drinks. Anyways on to the food. I ordered the Ozzie burger French fries and a side of hush puppies. My husband ordered more of a regular burger and onion rings. We wanted for a little while for our food to come out. I would say it took around twenty minutes for our food to come but considering that there was only one cook it was expected. When our food finally came out it was way more than we expected. My burger was huge and between the two us we ordered way too much food. The food was pretty good considering it was at an airport. I could barely eat half of my burger. It was way to much food for one person. All in all this place was really good for the price. We will definitely come back to try the all you can eat breakfast for 6.39!

My favorite breakfast joint! Ok, so there is nothing fancy about Ozzie's Diner. Just a fresh made all you can eat breakfast for $6. Be prepared for a wait to be seated, especially on a Saturday morning. No credit cards

what the H happened people? The BIRD is now OFFICIALLY a DISASTER! Saltier than a dozen frozen margaritas with EXTRA salt on the rim - tasted like someone from the Nervous Hospital around the way got loose in the kitchen with the vittles and the salt drum. REALLY bad - others were complaining too - I kept waiting for someone to have a salt heart attack, like the ones old Italians have on that show on HBO when they get all stressed out. YUCK! And I LIKE salt - just not what you feed livestock in a cattle yard.

if you are looking for an old fashioned, greasy spoon, all you can eat breakfast, you found the right spot. Breakfast is excellent. Have eaten there many times for dinner as well. Food is good old fashioned diner food. Bring cash......

Good basic breakfast & you can't beat the price. Liked the home fries with onions. Too windy for takeoffs today, but I'll be back.

Great food and variety. There're four of us when we go out, everyone wants something different-Ozzies come to the rescue. Where else can you go and feed a family of four for less than $30? Keep up the good work, we stop by Ozzies every time we head up to Tulsa from Irving.

What's the deal with restaurants in Norman and their pig? I ordered my selections from the all-you-can-eat menu, and the waitress asked if I wanted bacon, sausage or ham. I asked if any of the bacon or sausage was turkey. She said no, which I wasn't surprised to hear, so I told her clearly 'no meat' which she repeated. Then my plate came, not with bacon, not with ham, not with sausage, but with ALL THREE. I wondered if the waitress might say something when she came back and saw that I had just stacked them all in the center of the table, but since she didn't show her face for the next 20 minutes, I'm guessing she didn't care much. Anywho, other than the server doing the exact opposite of what I asked on the meat and then disappearing for a bit, the food is tasty, though I don't know if I'd call it high quality. Solid three.

We heard that Ozzies was the place to go for a casual breakfast. We tried it on an OU game weekend and it was so packed we opted out. We tried again today and were sorely disappointed. Breakfast was not great though the service was alright. It was about 15 bucks for 2 people which is not extraordinary. What ticked me off is getting to the register to find out they don't accept debit cards. I was incredulous and staff seemed unphased and unapologetic. They directed me to the local atm where I was able to withdraw funds to pay, along with a combined $4.50 in fees. So, lesson learned...Ozzie's is not on our repeat list. No amount of airplane watching is worth the hassle of this place.

If you can ignore the tweaked-out and highly erratic waitresses and can settle for mediocre diner food, Ozzy's might be your place. The food came out fast enough, but you find more finesse with diner food in other places. All hype, no delivery. But cheap as could be, so that's a plus.

Can't beat their all-you-can-eat breakfast. Great food and service. Fun to watch the planes take off and land while you eat.
