this is a great place to go for some studying or reading. or to grab some coffee with a friend. I used to come here quite frequently as an OU student and came back the other weekend to visit. I definitely enjoyed myself. their chocolate is SO GOOD. I have tried "speciality" chocolate before that ends up tasting a bit like a bad Hershey's bar. this is not the case with Michelangelo's chocolate. the workers were extremely helpful and knowledgeable as I asked them a few questions about the coffee, the chocolate, and the Norman music festival that was going on that weekend. they also have pizza and wine but I've just gone here for chocolate + coffee.. an unbeatable combination. so glad that Michelangelo's is still alive and well in downtown Norman. what a good place.

My favorite coffee shop in Norman! I love the live music they have in the evenings. I really like the highland grog coffee they have on Saturdays. The food is good, I've had great muffins and cinnamon rolls for breakfast. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming.

I really love Michelangelo's. My friend is a regular there and she's coaxed me into going a few times. I don't know why I don't head over there more often. It's such a cozy little place and they've got a wide assortment of drinks on the menu. Great place to listen to a little live local music.

Love their breakfast! They also have great paninis for dinner but unless you are starving only order 1/2. Their sandwiches are hugh!

Excellent choices of wine, despite only having 5 reds to choose from. Guy at counter seemed knowledgable about the wines.

This is a premier spot to crack open a book and settle in for the day on Norman's Main Street. The staff is exceptionally kind and helpful when making a decision. The ambiance is cozy and artfully cluttered (in a good way- this is what my friends refer to me as sometimes) way. There is a good mix of comfy couches and table seating for wherever your bum wants to sit. There is space in the back that is perfect for an intimate and acoustic set or a good poetry reading. I always enjoy when I visit and by chance, one of these events is happening. The drink menu is large and will quench your thirst whether it is coffee you crave, soda, or a glass of wine. What makes my heart melt? The Melt-a-Way mocha. Fresh, fine chocolates are showcased here (which I highly recommend) and this drink incorporates a chocolate be put in it and melt-away creating a bold and unique mocha flavor. I think I'm going to propose painting the ceiling here?

As far as outside of Starbucks goes, you seem to either choose Gray Owl or Michelangelo's (I suppose Second Wind or Crimson&Creme if you're over on campus) and stick to it. Personally I prefer Michelangelo's as it has a Very Different atmosphere to Gray Owl, I get it the retro couch and bikes are cool for the hipster-esque crowd that frequents there but they're not nearly as suited to my tastes as all of the cozy red walls and comfy couches, plus I'm all about their support for local art and music The staff, I love the staff! I've never actually met a barista there that wasn't perfectly agreeable (and trust me I go there with alarming frequency, god only knows the amount of my money that's been spent on coffee). Admittedly I'm a bit boring and have my standard cold and hot drink. Cold being A Dude over ice, even without an excess of kahlua the flavor is still there which I adore. Hot being a simple irish cream cappuccino, I can't tell you why or how but get a triple in a mug and it's absolutely heavenly

Good, but takes a bit of time at breakfast. There was only one poor guy to do everything, and he had a lot of guests. But breakfast sandwiches were great and the coffee was outstanding.

Horrible service. Very slow! The place was not busy. It took around 18 minutes to get my coffee.

Thy have no concept of espresso. Under extracted, over roasted dirty water. Stay away if you have an understanding of coffee that extends beyond Charbucks.

My friends and I end our "girls nights" here with a great cup of coffee and a piece of chocolate. It's laid back with plenty of atmosphere. We all love it!

Great place! Ideal for small-group gatherings - have attended a few MeetUp events here. Also, a spot my boyfriend and I always seem to visit when he's in town - we like it's calm and art-envoloped atmosphere. Their chocolate truffles are perfectly portioned to satisfy your sweet tooth without breaking your diet bank :)

I like Michelangelo's as a concept (coffee and wine) and while it is okay but it is a little pretentious. Maybe if I want pseudo cheap wine tasting with maybe a panini's or appetizer but for coffee and ambiance I would much rather go to Gray Owl.

Coffee, booze, late-night, live music, and coffeeshop art on the walls - oh, yeah, and bacon truffles.

Fantastic little coffee shop on Main Street. They do live music weekly, and it's generally a quiet place to relax and sip on some great stuff as well as try a few chocolates. Do yourself a favor and order the Sherlock Holmes. It has toffee and caramel in it. Can you ask for much more?

I'd been trying to find a coffee shop in which to work and enjoy a nice cuppa in Norman, but the city had been failing miserably. Coffee shops either seemed to be the overly-corporate Starbucks or simple java-singers that wanted you to get your mug of leaded and get out (and often closed by 5p. Michaelangelo's happily not just broke the mold, but slapped it upside the head and called its mom. Any establishment that both sells mochas and margaritas makes me happy. With fair prices and a selection for all, this wine and coffee bar is the perfect blend. Great decor, comfortable seating, and decent beverage selections make it an excellent option for coffee talk, getting work done, or relaxing while in downtown Norman. Great service and hours that extend beyond 4p make it an excellent opportunity tucked away on Main Street.

Fun eclectic coffee shop. Best cinnamon roll I've had in Norman, and no wait on Saturday morning. Also love the local art display.

Looked this place up online, and it looked like a great place to grab a glass of wine. Their menu online states that they offer flights of 3 wines for $10, but no one working seemed to be aware of that. After inquiring about the flight they never even offered to pour us a glass or taster of anything. We were just very surprised by the lack of service and assistance and this supposed "wine bar".

I was looking for ANY coffee at all when I found this place. I was seeing a show right around the corner and really lucked out; I was pleasantly surprised at how cool this place was. they had a nice selection of baked goods if I remember correctly (and they serve alcohol? unheard of in Georgia), but the coffee itself was worth coming back for. caramel mocha latte, please and thanks, and I remember it being really inexpensive too, for such good coffee. I loved the atmosphere (so cozy), and I remember thinking the guy at the counter was remarkably upbeat for it being 11pm and still being at work. way to go, Michelangelo's. open a location in Atlanta, and you'll be all set!

Chocolates here are okay. Coffee isn't bad and can be bought in bulk (but I think it's better at Forward Foods). They also offer undistinguished bagels and cookies. Walls are decorated with artwork by local artists, which is sometimes a pleasant distraction--and a needed one because you won't be doing much people watching. I don't think I've ever seen more than five or six other people here at any one time. They do offer free Wi-Fi, however--one of the few places in Norman to do so. Outside seating amounts to a chair on the sidewalk.
