I had one of my "best ever" meals, at The Vintage House! I went to visit my grandparents in Alva Oklahoma, so they brought me here. I was so impressed...each course was A+! Definitely will eat here every time I come to Alva! And recommend anyone in the area, or passing through to stop to eat here!

The places to eat in this part of Oklahoma are few and far between. We live in Oklahoma City with an abundance of choices morning, evening and middle of the night - so what brought us to Burlington? The amazing steak, that's what! I think this restaurant is truly populated by word of mouth and very nearby locals. My husband and I were introduced by our two friends who had already driven here twice this summer. Blink and you'll miss Burlington, and blink again and you'll also miss that Vintage House is a real house on a block of houses. Once you enter, you'll feel like you're interrupting someone's dinner in their own home as only 8-10 tables take up the first floor. Vintage highly suggests getting a reservation because of that. The menu seems lengthy, but really it's comprised of a meat (beef, chicken, fish, shrimp) with salad (garden, house), fresh bread, soup of the day (we had potato), and side (baked potato or veggies). So if the price looks high for small town Oklahoma, just know that it comes with all that! Desserts include all types of pie. They don't serve wine, but they do serve beer. The decor is French Christmas - they leave their Christmas trees with lights up all year old and you'll find many portraits of angelic looking children strewn about. The music varies between Josh Groban and Hinder. The atmosphere adds to the meal - like we really were eating in someone's home. We were able to sit by the kitchen and see a lot of the action in there. Including the owner's (Kevin, nice guy) huge mustache! Love a good mustache. In summary: go to Vintage House with some friends who are ready for a road trip, older Oklahomans who will appreciate the small town and the good food or yourself if you happen to be in the area.
