Food is hot, and cooked to order. We called in our order and it was ready for pick up in 30 minutes. There's a healthy menu and different size portions. The staff is courteous and prompt.

This is by far the best Chinese food in Enid. I would rate a five but every time I order the combination rice, it seem to have everything besides shrimp in it. I have gone as far as ordering extra shrimp and paying extra for it and still I can count the amount of shrimp in my dish. Also, the eggs rolls at times are not fresh.

Great Chinese food for Enid! Lunch is a steal- so cheap! Super quick! Wish they would add more meat and veggies to fried rice. Shrimp w lobster sauce and general tsos chicken- yum! Hot and sour soup has a nice kick to it. So nice to have this restaurant as I hate buffets.

If you are looking for authentic Chinese food - keep driving. However, if you are looking for something that is quick and affordable - Jiang Yuan is your place. You can call in your order and it is ready by the time you arrive to pick it up. They have all the basic's in Americanized Chinese food and everything I have tried so far has been good and I will be back when I don't feel like cooking and want to pick up something quick on the way home.

Bad customer service.....high school cashier wearing sweats argued with us after getting our order wrong. Food wasn't worth returning for.....mall food court Chinese food quality. Completely unimpressed.

This is the best Chinese in town. No mediocre food that's been sitting around on the buffet for hours. Very good, fresh food. Reasonable prices. This is a must for Chinese takeout.

Remember the context of this review. This isn't some backwoods Oklahoma suggestion that a standard Chinese takeout restaurant is the pinnacle of dining, but rather the point that Jiang Yuan takes the cookie-cutter Chinese takeout menu and makes it work for Enid. Want enough food for two people for about $10? They've got you covered. An order of General Tso's Chicken plus steamed rice runs about eight bucks and a large container of wonton soup is only a couple more. The location is reasonably convenient in a shopping strip with ample parking. Everyone is friendly. The few tables inside the restaurant for either those who really just want to sit down and eat or the more common case of waiting on a takeout order are quite nice along with the rest of the decor. The spicy dishes have enough peppers to add ambient heat for those who want less and full pepper heat if you prefer a bit spicier. Anybody who has had takeout in Oklahoma will recognize the menu as being almost the same as any other Chinese takeout, probably supplied by the exact same companies. It's funny how a bit of effort in decoration, having a local friendly outlook, offering better prices, and finding a good location can be that difference which makes it all worthwhile. So, yeah. The food isn't much different from most other Chinese takeout, but they do it exactly how it should be done. That counts for a lot, so under the context of rating it compared to other Chinese takeout in Oklahoma, Jiang Yuan gets it just right. It's nothing compared to Wahaha down in Edmond or what the old Lung Wah was like, but again, standard easy takeout. Also, props to them for naming the restaurant after a prominent historical figure rather than some generic reference to China or pandas.

I agree with the previous review. The food is solid. The service is friendly. The prices are reasonable. Their hours are good - open 7 days a week until at least 9 pm, and it is very clean.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
