Wednesday's at lunch is about the only time I find myself at Colby's, but what a great time it is! Wednesday's Colby's has their classic cheesburger for $2 bucks! That's $2 for a 1/4lb cheesburger on a big warm bun with all the fixins you would want, i.e. lettuce, tomato, onions, etc. With my soda the total for two (it's not that they are small, it's just that I love burgers!), was less than $6 bucks!! Service is fast, and friendly, and did I mention the burgers are $2 bucks on Weds!! I'm not there every Weds, but in the words of the Terminator... "I'll be back!"

Good, small hole-in-the-wall greasy spoon type of place. Reasonably priced, but I'd been meaning to go on Wed's for their $2 burger special...well, 1) It's literally only their basic, bare-bones burger (not even with cheese)--so it's sort of deceiving...and it's crazy to think that a burger like that would even ever cost more than $2...2) Because we went on a Wednesday, we absolutely could not use any coupons, even if we weren't taking advantage of the burger "special" 3) you can't really find their menu anywhere, but at least they have a FB page.

I've been for lunch and breakfast and enjoyed everything! The bacon cheeseburger was very good - nice crispy bacon. My bf had the jalapeno cheeseburger and fries. I thought the fries were ok, but I *loved* the onion strings! Excellent value from a great local business! Will go back again!

Great burgers, fries, and onion strings! The staff is super friendly too. We'll be back if we're in the area again!

A rainy morning breakfast included chicken fried steak hash browns a biscuit and gravy with 2 over easy eggs. The chef breaded steak was tender with a thin layer of flavorful breading. The slightly crunchy breading reflected a toasty note of flour with a nutty undertone. The beef was juicy but kept well contained by the breading. The biscuit was pleasantly fluffy and tender. The gravy was creamy peppered with enough flavor make it interesting without taking over your palate. The hash browns cooked to the proper softness and coated with just enough fat to make them feel smooth and enable the creaminess of the potato to shine through. Colby's Grill demonstrates Edmond can and does have good old fashioned cafe cooking.

Breakfast is pretty good and was once nice priced. Burgers are not very good at all. Recommend breakfast only.

Ate here for breakfast awhile back, and found it to be just okay. We were hoping for an excellent greasy-spoon style experience, and instead found ourselves waiting too long for non-description omelettes, tasteless gravy, and biscuits that were cold and tough. The servers were friendly enough, but the experience was very underwhelming as a whole. We'll stick with Katie's or Rocky Mountain Grill in the future.

Good breakfast and inexpensive for the amount of food you receive. The chicken fried steak breakfast came with a huge piece of meat, eggs, hashbrowns, and biscuits & gravy for $7.99! The waitress was very attentive and friendly. I would definitely go back.

The Flaming Cowboy. It's one of the better burgers that the state of Oklahoma has to offer. It's not on the menu. It's a 1/2 lb Cowboy burger (barbecue sauce, onion strings, etc.) combined with the heat that an Indian (dot, not feather) can't live without (cayenne pepper, jalapeños, and tabasco sauce). If the server tells you they don't know what the Flaming Cowboy is, tell them to ask Colby. He's the one in the back making the food. There are other delicious burgers, including the aforementioned Cowboy Burger (nothing flaming), and the Inferno Burger, which has spicy kick that borders on painful. The fries are also pretty delicious, and even the ketchup tastes different (that might just be me). Negative Nancy: It's been a while since I've been here, but there was an unpleasant surprise most recently when my brother and I stopped in for a couple FCBs. They tacked on an extra $3.00 on our bill because of what we ordered. $1.50/each is kind of steep when considering it's just some spice powder, hot sauce, and jalapeños. Add an extra $.35 if you ask for a side of ranch. Maybe I'm spoiled, but having to paying $9+ for something that I used to only pay $7+ hurts a little. I guess that's the price of fame. Your little diner has its moment on TV and suddenly you forget the poor college students. I mean, I'll still go, it just won't be as often. Also, the wait-staff leaves something to be desired. They're not rude per se, but an occasional smile wouldn't hurt, you know? Fix these issues, and this place is as 5-star as it gets. P.S. If you're an exceptional fattie, Colby's has a challenge that involves eating six pounds of food. Have at it.

I'm new to Edmond and have been trying out all the local breakfast places over the past few weeks. We decided to give Colby's a shot after a night of moderate alcohol consumption. My boyfriend and I both agreed that the food is perfect for a hangover - good amount of grease, etc. After reading yelp reviews before going there, I was expecting that there would be no biscuits by the time we got there and I wasn't surprised that they had indeed run out of biscuits by 1030 on a Saturday. Kind of disappointing. We both got omelets which were mediocre at best. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and sort of wet on the inside, without any flavor besides grease. Service was good and food delivery was really quick. Coffee was meh. If you're looking for a dirt cheap breakfast (our bill was 14 bucks), especially with a hangover, I'd recommend Colby's. Otherwise, you might be better off in your own kitchen. I'd consider going back with a hangover.

I had the bacon cheeseburger which was a solid burger. Nothing special but was good. They had a wide selection of different burgers so some may be more exciting. My brother had the grilled chicken salad which was very plain. Subway shredded lettuce a few tomatoes and cumber with a piece of chicken on top, very underwhelming. My wife had the club sandwich which had great flavor and prepared well. Overall the food was good but not great. Leaving not much to make we want to return. Prices were reasonable and staff was friendly. Give it a try maybe your will be more surprised than I was. Tip: The menu is pretty limited. Their facebook page would lead you to believe they have lots of different things but once there you see it's definitely just burgers and a few sandwiches.
