Let me just say, I absolutely love this place. It has continued to get better and more consistent in their barista's abilities. Everyone is so nice! If I'm not sure what to order, or want to try something new, I can always count on their suggestions. The espresso is fantastic, the drip is, if you ask for a pour over you will NOT be disappointed. One of my favorite things is to come on a Thursday night for Arts night! They always have the best people participate in it. Last but most CERTAINLY not least, they have a Slayer espresso machine. It is a very powerful machine and it's so beautiful! Seriously. Check this place out.

Have I mentioned how much I like Coffee Commission (CC)? I'm sure I have. After my last visit (and subsequent review), I got a message from the owner letting me know that some new coffee/espresso options were available. The new options were: Colombia La Rochela Geisha (what a mouthful) from Case Coffee Roasters, and a Rwanda something or other from Mariposa Coffee Roastery. I think I saw both the Case and Mariposa on the menu, but we figured we would give the Mariposa espresso a fair shake. So, two lattes were ordered. It was like... $7.53 after tax/tip? $7.54? $7.52? $7.50something. And those lattes... were... legit. It was... Smooth. It was so smooth that I'm going to pronounce it as "smoov." It was a lighter roast. And smoov. Smoov, you hear me? I still give the slightest edge to whatever I've had at Elemental or Grey Owl, but I am excited to come back to CC and spend more of my money, especially on the coffee from Case. Additional legitness worth noting is the excellent customer service. They are incredibly friendly baristas who don't act stuck up. Take that every other uppitty coffee shop in greater Oklahoma City (you know who you are, jerks). I think the friendly customer service even ends up affecting the customers positively, because everyone is all like: "Hi!" "Hi there!" "Beautiful day isn't it?" "Why yes, yes it is!" "Have a great day!" "You as well!" And to reiterate to reviewers stating that CC has a Slayer Espresso Machine; that's a fallacious argument and isn't necessarily an indicator of a good coffee shop. An indicator of CC being a good coffee shop is the coffee being so smoov. The Slayer is more an indicator that whoever financed CC was able to afford an espresso machine that's worth more than my car. I'm not even kidding. P. S. Also, no more issues with the menu prices being off. Cooooooool. P. P. S. Live music on Thursday evenings. Cooooooool.

If I wrote this review the first time I went, I would of given 5 stars. The coffee was well presented, and it actually tasted pretty good! The second time I went, I got the same thing.. But it lacked the cream and mints on top that I got last time! I didn't really mind, but I went up and asked for some. The guy was very nice and apologized, but when I asked him for mints while he was putting the whipped cream on my coffee, he gave a snide look to his buddies that were there, and it made me feel like a complete snob asking for something! The environment is weird, and there's always an awkward tension with the workers and the people. I'd go back, but don't ask for mints! They'll shoot you dirty looks!

The best tasting coffee in town. Wow I love this place. Atmosphere is great too. Organic coffee where the coffee beans are cooked here in Oklahoma. I got the idea that some finds go to missionary work too. The regular coffee from 8 to 10 am is only $1.00 right now...good price. My favorite is madagascar flavor coffee.

I think there's two reasons someone goes to a coffee shop. One, the coffee, and two, the vibe. I am a new enough inductee into the world of coffee that I do not feel knowledgeable enough to judge. So, this review will focus on the vibe. Things I love about Coffee Commission: 1) The open space. A lot of coffee shops are crowded and tables are squashed together. You can't help but hearing all the conversations of all the people around you. At CC, there's enough room you can isolate yourself a bit if you want to. 2) The baristas are super friendly 3) There's some unique furniture and decorations to enjoy. 4) There's a room you can rent, for parties, gatherings, study groups, etc. And if it's not reserved, you're free to use it. Providing more opportunities to hide from potentially loud patrons. 5) There's a 10% Keep it Local discount and a rewards program that gives you a free latte after 10 check ins. 6) You can pay for a drink for someone, and their name will be written on the "Leave a Drink" board. The next time the person comes in, they will have a pleasant surprise. Reasons Coffee Commission isn't getting 5 starts: 1) You have to climb stairs to get to it. And what lazy person wants that? 2) Parking can be really hectic at prime business hours. 3) From my minimal coffee experience, it seems like the baristas are less experienced than at other places.

Love this place! Coffee with a cause. Great mocha lattes. Really like the iced coffee they do in a pint jar.

Such a refreshing place for Edmond! Locally owned! Unique! Eclectic! You must! Check this coffeehouse out. They use fair trade coffee, scones, bagels, smoothies, espresso creations. The main draw to this place is its size (large) its atmosphere (eclectic, cozy, flooded with light). Conversation areas with sofas, comfy chairs, pub tables, bar with bar stools with lamps for studying! Outdoor patio with tables and chairs. Prices! Fantastic. cappuccino, macchiato $3. $4 smoothies. Go check it out! We need to keep this place in Edmond!

Wow, I am so happy to discover this gem of a coffee hideaway! Pleasant, cool, great latte, music for the soul, friendly staff, amazingly comfortable atmosphere! It's on the second floor of a shopping center providing outdoor seating on a large balcony. The spacious interior offers great individual spots...not just round tables that one person takes up leaving no place to sit. Best of all...they GIVE BACK!!! Support this small business. Hang out and enjoy the place. It's totally worth it!

My favorite place to study/catch up with friends. It reminds me of Central Perk from Friends!

At first I didn't like this place too much, but it has grown on me. I think I lowered my expectations for ever receiving a well-made espresso drink here and changed my orders to tea, cocoa, chai or apple cider and this made my visits much more pleasurable. It is a handy place for quiet, late night studying, with comfy furniture to sit on and free wifi. They also have a conference room that you can reserve for groups. The drip coffee is just fine, sometimes pretty good, but the espresso is really hit and miss. Definitely not the place to frequent if you are looking just for espresso made just right. It does seem like lately the baristas are getting some better training. I think what is a little off about the atmosphere in this place is how large a space it is, and that it is an odd location on a second story. Even when there are quite a few customers, it can feel pretty empty and quiet.

I asked about the Americano coffee and they said it was steamed and had no milk. All about chai has milk in their Americano so I was little surprised. I got an Americano coffee but it was lukewarm. I felt bad at first telling him that and I was a little upset that I had to tell him. Nonetheless he took it in back and heated it up for me. Not a big deal but that is why I gave them 3 stars. It was good coffee and I like the environment and the younger crowd. I went on Sunday afternoon and it was busier than I expected. Thought I would try the local coffee shop rather than Starbucks.

I mean come on, they have a slayer espresso machine! Top notch. Fantastic rotating coffees from some of the best roasters in the US.

The coffee: good enough. I've had better, I've had worse, I could drink it again. The staff: about the same as the coffee. Could be nicer, could be more dismissive. Meh. The atmosphere: this one is tricky. The couches are comfy, which is nice. It felt like I was back in high school at an Edmond mom's house. Stuff is nice, notably pricey, a little gaudy. Crosses and bible games were dispersed all over the place. I don't find that appealing, nor did I find it a problem. There is no handicap access to this shop. However, there are clearly marked handicap bathrooms. Weird. Probably a normal protocol, but seemed humorously rude. To be honest, it's not a bad place. You know, if you can't find a place to sit at Evoke.

I really don't like this place. The service was really bad. The coffee was really old tasting like it had been ground months ago and left out. I would not recommend this place for coffee.

Lets just start by saying I'm a coffee snob. I don't care if you shop has WIFI and a cool look if you don't know coffee. I travel the country for work and am almost always disappointed at the coffee houses I find. This is a pleasant exception. The decor is pleasant and the coffee is acceptable. I mean it's no Espresso Vivace or Broadway Cafe but it's good. I recommend this place.
