Let's face it....its Chinese take out. I've never given a Chinese take out restaurant five stars but this one is pretty darn good for Chinese take out. I've had several of the dishes....Singapore rice noodles, orange chicken, sesame shrimp. The portions are huge and the food is tasty.

We've become regulars at the China Chef over the last few years. It's very close to our house and is great for the last minute hunger cravings when you don't feel like cooking. There aren't too many things I claim to be a connoisseur of but rice is one of them. Many Chinese restaurants have very mediocre rice but China Chef is not one of them. Not too dry, not too sticky. Just good rice. I enjoy the Mongolian Beef and my wife loves their Sesame Chicken. We both agree that of all the nearby takeout joints they're the best. Service is what you would expect, no frills just quick, good, hot Chinese food. Price is on par with the others. Although I think you can get a better deal at House of Hunan (2nd & Santa Fe), the food is a bit better at China Chef.

Good food! Kind of a funny little place and not much for indoor seating, but great for takeout! The menu is pretty big, so it can be hard to decide, but they also have combo options that make it a little easier because then you kind of get a little more. I think I got the hot and sour chicken combo that came with fried rice. Very yummy! But no pineapple, I usually like to have pineapple with my hot and sour meals. Limited beverages and no alcohol, but right next to Old Vine, so if you need something to take home, it's very convenient. Our takeout was ready in a decent amount of time and the portions were pretty generous. Will definitely be back if we want something quick and easy to take home and eat.

I am so amazed at what happened tonight... I ordered my normal order. Delivery was on time as usual., but then they forgot a good part of my order. Didn't see it till the new delivery guy had left. Wasn't the same delivery guy as usual... Called the restaurant dealt with a girl who was very very rude and who actually spoke better English than what the other employees usually do. So maybe she was new?? Asked for my money for the entree that wasn't included to be refunded since I did not receive my food. She proceeded to argue with me that the food was there and I explained we did not get it. She told me she will not refund me. The best deal that she could work out is for her delivery guy to come pick up all the food and refund us... Even though I explained we had started eating it. She replied 'we don't care that's all we can do for you'. I was obviously sketched out as well as weirded out and told her I have never received this kind of service from them. I told her I was confused and disappointed and she replied 'okay so sorry'and hung up on me??? NEVER GOING BACK. I recommend chinahouse two miles down the road on 178th and western.

Half a star. The people are rude. The prices are too high for food that you can find at every other chinese place.

This place is amazing... For take-out Chinese. Way better than House of Hunan! I always get the sesame chicken, which is awesome and the rice, both fried and steamed, is excellent. Love the potstickers too.

If I want Chinese and I'm not willing to drive more than a couple of miles, this is my spot. The beef lo mein and egg rolls are consistently good. I'm a bit ashamed to admit that I haven't tried anything else but that's just because I enjoy my usual so much. Definitely recommend.

I only eat 1 thing off there menu lol boneless spare rib combo. It's as close as I can get in this area to good NY style Chinese takeout. That is really all I got lol. Parking kind is lame. Food is fast and delivery is so so. ENJOY!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
