I visited this restaurant during my business trip couple weeks ago. Like most hibachi restaurants, it's pretty dark but the seating environment is still comfortable. They have sushi bar and hibachi area. The greeter led me to the hibachi table. The wait was about 15 minutes until the table is half full of people. Then the cook came and started the cooking (or the show...) it's pretty standard for the hibachi to wait until they have enough customers before they told the cook to come. The food is good and the cook put a good show. The price is little expensive but there are plenty of food. I ordered a combo of chicken, steak and shrimp with fried rice. They are little bit salty but still good. It looks like some of the waitresses were new and they made couple mistakes, but the cook and manager fixed it. There may be some better hibachi restaurant in the nearby big cities such as Dallas, but for a smaller town like Durant, it's a pretty good standard.

Food is consistently very tasty, both the hibachi and sushi. I've been there a few times. That's the sole reason I return. The most recent time was the worst in terms of service and it wasn't very busy as the main dinner rush was over. Apparently this is a good time for staff to congregate by the front door and chat. Greet me and seat me; that's all you have to do from my perspective. Maybe next time. No silverware or chopsticks upon arrival to the seats, or after the first waitress visit, or drink arrival, or when the appetizers arrived. Staff should be trained to recognize the basic items needed (refills, plates, napkins, silverware) and address them every time they look at a table. Cover these items and you can move to 4 stars - I'm not hard to please. Finally, the place could use new (hard surface) flooring instead of the carpet. It just feels dirty. And it's very dark. Do that and the above and you would have a 5 star rating. It would pay for itself. Do all of the above and your business would double, tips would skyrocket, and Durant would have another great place to eat with friends and family.

We don't live locally but if we did we probably wouldn't eat here again. This restaurant was very disappointing because we love hibachi and the chef was amazing but the service was terrible. It took about 20 minutes before our dinner order was taken and probably another 20 minutes to get a sushi roll. If you don't mind slow service, the food was good and the prices were reasonable.

My first yelp review and sad that it is going to be negative. Walk into the restaurant tonight and 5 people are standing at the hostess table discussing some issue and not one of them greeted us. We leave and 4 people are standing there and not one person says goodbye or thank you! One of my sushi rolls came as my husband was finishing his hibachi. They asked me if I still wanted the roll and I should have said no. This restaurant takes its patrons for granted.

I went to this location in the past and had an okay experience but today was just god awful. Went there to grab dinner after a quick game of tennis, was never so upset with a dining experience my entire life.First of all, the waitress was rude. She asks me for my name, in a very derogatory manner, as if I had just jumped a wall from the south and sat at her table. She was clearly upset that I did not give her a quick answer. This place has a great ambience but the arrogance of that wait staff, she made me regret my decision to go there instantly. Please, if you do not fall in the WASP category, dodge this place like a plague. Never again!!

Great place for Japanese food between here and Dallas..Some say sushi is great..I really enjoyed the steak and chicken with the sauce they had...Love it! As with all places like these the show is always good too.

Really neat Asian hibachi and sushi. The show is neat and the food is great. The service is wonderful and the owner is a really nice guy if you get a chance to talk to him. He also has a location in Sherman, TX. Price is a bit high for the small town but you are paying for the show after all.

Excellent sushi! The cooks put on a good show that the kids like. Atmosphere is good and laid back but it is a little pricey for the area. All in all it is a good dining experience.
