Two dinners here over the last 2 months while in town for concerts. The food is a solid four stars, service is more like three, just because it is inconsistent from one server to the next or one day to the next. The first visit, we had nice wines by the glass, and a dozen raw oysters which were tasty and well presented. Now that oysters are $24 per dozen, they should always be served nicely, and with all the accompaniments! That night I had a filet, and hubby had a very flavorful sirloin. On our second visit, we both started with side salads, which had flavorful tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, red onion rings, and homemade croutons on a bed of mixed greens. I had the sirloin, cooked exactly to the right temperature, and hubby went for chicken fried chicken and sweet potato fries. I had a beer with dinner, Tank seven which I love, and hubby went for a piece of red velvet cake at the finish. All the food was excellent. Where the inconsistency lies is in service. I remember it from the first visit, but the second visit was even a better example. Our waitress was very pleasant, and very attentive at first, almost to the point of rushing us a bot to order, even though it was early in the night. We ordered, got our food, she checked back once after, and she dropped the check pretty quickly thereafter without checking for additional drinks or offering dessert. We had to flag her down to ask for those things, get her to pick up the check again, and then could not find her when we were ready for the check. The only real peeve I had was hearing the table next to us be told the specials for the evening (we were not) and being offered warm bread and butter, which we were not offered or brought. A little more attention by management to these type of inconsistencies would net them happier customers and probably higher tabs. That said, for a small town this is a pretty nice dining experience. We will round up for four stars.

Food was good , but in dinner time we never got our warm bread rolls what waiter been promised even tough we asked waiter 3 times. I thought maybe it was just one person we came back and it happened again Bad service!

Horrible service and it wasn't that busy, the waitress didn't understand that when you dine with a big family that the plates should be brought out at the same time. By the time I received my plate, the others were asking for a to go boxes. The food was ordinary and very greasy, save your money and drive a little further south across the border. Will not be going back to this place!

Great food, great service!! We have lived in SoCal, Vegas, DFW....and I promise you, this place has the best filet we have ever had!! Andrew, the head waiter, is wonderful! We love this place!!!!!!

Great food. Daily lunch specials never disappoint. Had the turkey burger today & homemade potato chips, delicious. Wife had spinach, strawberry & chicken salad with potato soup & she really liked it

This was a bad review but over the last couple of months the roadhouse has improved dramatically. The staff are more organized and the food is awesome as always!

The restaurant is very eye appealing. My husband and I were offered seating at a tall table or booth. When we asked for a regular table the hostess made it apparent that it would be a problem. To quickly end the situation, I said the tall table would be fine. Once seated the wait staff was very attentive. My husband and I had ribeye steaks with baked potatoes. Warm dinner rolls were brought to the table. Our glasses were kept filled. The steak was delicious, seasoned well, and cooked to a perfect medium. My steak was so large, I had to ask for a doggy bag.

This was a true disappointment. First, you seat yourself.... which means if it's busy there is no one to tell your waitress you have been waiting 15 mins just to give your drink order. So, needless to say, it started off negative. However, while sitting in our booth and waiting on our appetizer I looked over and saw a COCKROACH running up the wall right beside my arm! I could not believe it! I grabbed my sunglass case to smash it. I then waited.... and waited for my waitress to return. When she finally returned I said can I please speak to a manager. I did not tell her what it was about. Her response.... "Um they are like really really busy and can not come talk with you", WTH?!?!? I showed her the smushed roach and she said "Oh wow, so sorry about that. That's like really really gross. I will let someone know" I sat in disbelief. Once my food came I took each bite wondering if it had been touched by a cockroach. Needless to say, I could not finish my meal. The bill came, it was close to $65.00. I paid AND tipped. Once the waitress ran the card, to my surprise, a manager showed up.... So, I can't help but wonder, since the proper thing any self respecting restaurant would have done was either comped the meal or at least offered a free cheese cake...... Did they seriously wait till I paid my bill to come speak to me so they didn't have to do that?!?!? However the topper was when the manager said "Oh I just had the exterminator out here. I will have to call him and let them know the roaches are still here".... "STILL HERE".... Oh my gross!!!!!! I wasn't looking for a hand out. However, the way the situation was handled was very poor and I am frankly shocked at the way they treat their customers when a COCKROACH is crawling up the wall right beside them!

Great for Lunch and Especially Dinner. Dinner is a little more expensive but well worth it. Great steaks and fresh market fish. I also recommend the oysters!

Best restaurant in Durant. Fantastic hickory grilled steaks. We stop by here anytime we come through. Great homemade burgers too....apparently made from the cuttings from the steaks. Try the onion rings!

Food was good. Wine was decent. Everything else was horrible. We went on a Saturday night and only had to wait about 15-20 minutes for a table for 4 adults and 2 kids. Not too bad at all. The booth was very uncomfortable and had lumps/bars/some other sort of malformation keeping it impossible to sit normally. Our waitress was very inattentive and completely underwhelming. One member of our group waited for nearly ten minutes on his silverware after getting his dinner salad. We waited for over an hour and a half for our meals. Not one single time were we ever updated on the status of our food, given any information regarding the delay, offered any refill on our appetizer of chips and salsa or any other time filler even though we had two small children with us ... Waiting that long for food. My chicken fried chicken tasted very good, but my mashed potatoes were cooler than room temperature. The extra side of fried okra I ordered never came, and had to be asked for again. Twice. Along with a second glass of wine. Twice. Upon receipt of the bill, they server had overcharged our group on the kids meal, when it was mentioned she said "We got new menus. You must have gotten one of the old ones." She wasn't the worst server ever, but she deserves on the countdown at least. The owner found out how upset we were and she did attempt to remedy the situation. My husband and I might go back if we are back in SE Oklahoma. But we will never take anyone else there for a decent meal.

Food was good and the server was friendly and attentive. The only thing we (my wife) noted was that the ladies restroom was in a horrible state of cleanliness. Had she seen it before we ordered food we would have left. And quite frankly, I was shocked when she came out and told me about the state of the facilities because everything else about the place was very nice. Hopefully this was an isolated incident but it really turned us off and I doubt we will give it a second try. Bad food or bad service I am willing to give a second chance, but cleanliness in an eating establish is something hard for me to overlook. I hope later reviewers can give an update and confirm it was a one-off thing because I liked the place...

I was visiting a friend and he suggested we go here for lunch . Very impressive ! The decor is very nice , service awesome. Food was great ! My friend has a patty melt . It was fresh and very tasty ! I had a salad and fried mushroom. Best fried mushrooms I have had. Not heavy on the batter and a great flavor. Salad was fresh, dressing made there. Highly recommended if visiting Durant OK. Great job Ingrid !!

This is my favorite restaurant! I live in the city, but we have a lake house and we drive up as often as we can. This place is the best place to eat for miles around. Food is incredible with servers that are friendly and really care about giving good service. I can honestly say this is the only restaurant I get excited to go eat at. You know it will be good every time. CFS is amazing, chicken with mushroom sauce is unbelievable and the French fries are hand cut. It's worth the drive.

Fantastic meal! The week prior, my wife and I celebrated our 28th anniversary at one of Dallas' best known high-end steak houses. Roadhouse had been recommended in the past, so when we found ourselves in Durant for dinner the following weekend, we thought we'd give it a try. We intentionally ordered exactly as we had the previous week in Dallas; (the only exception being my wife's salad - she chose the spinach, strawberry, walnut... salad at Roadhouse and LOVED it). My wife's filet mignon was every bit as good - tender and perfectly cooked - as the one for twice the price. My ribeye was FAR superior, and my wedge salad was also better. Roadhouse/KC's is a very casual steakhouse that serves incredible meals. We plan to make it a regular on our frequent trips to Durant and are already planning it for our 29th!

Bakery is gone, which is a total bummer. Restauruant is fine for lunch. I go there often with work colleagues. Never been there for dinner. Tried happy hour once - no Bombay Saphire in the bar, Hmmm. Wait staff is usually very friendly and attentive. 4 stars for lunch.
