This is probably the best place to eat in Durant. We were only visiting for a couple days, but ate here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times we completely enjoyed everything. At dinner, we ordered cocktails. They were delicious and strong. I ordered the carnitas. The pork was tender, juicy and flavorful. My friend ordered the coconut shrimp with pineapple. She adored it. My only complaint is that the guacamole just wasn't on par with everything else. I could easily eat here 5 or 6 times a week.

Chips & salsa were good. Portion sizes were good. Water was good. I got the fish ceviche and lunch #2. Everything tasted great. Im docking a star for the slow service though. Maybe next time it will be better. Definitely a good place to eat in durant.

Ceviche is a unique and outstanding Mexican food experience. Delicious enchiladas and chili rellenos. Our favorites are fajita enchiladas, chili verde con puerco, beef chili relleno, shrimp chili relleno, pollo poblano. Terrific queso. They have table side guacamole, but we always get a scoop from the kitchen which is cold and wonderful and half the price. They offer daily specials which look amazing. We always leave this restaurant full and satisfied.

Place had great food. Service was really good. Couldn't believe to find such a authentic Mexican food place in Oklahoma. Are server was very attentive and made sure our party was informed about the menu as well as my drink was never empty. Also she made sure to keep the chips full. Was very please with everything from the Decor to the service to the actual food.

What a great place to dine in Durant! It's off the main hwy in the older part of Durant but it's well worth the search to find it! The owner come out and greeted me personally. That kind of appreciation will bring me and my family back many times in the future!

This is the only Mexican restaurant I will go to within an 80-100 mile radius. The food is top notch and the presentation is elegant. The wait staff are polite, attentive and quite accommodating. The prices are quite reasonable, especially for the amount and high quality food received. The produce and meat are fresh and high quality. The experimentation done with each dish are very pleasing to the palet with multiple flavors embracing your tongue at different times. Quite a wonderful experience. The owner, Felipe, is a brilliant Culinary Artist! He is professional and very personable. He directly involves himself with each customer, inquiring about their satisfaction and welcomes suggestions. I would highly recommend this eating establishment to anyone who enjoys good quality food with a classy atmosphere.

Fish tacos; enough said! I ate here regularly, atleast once a week, very good service, atmosphere, and Authentic Mexican Food! I've had a variety of things off the menu, but the fish tacos are better than I've had on the coast! Definitely a must try for locals & anyone passing through!

I ate steak Monterrey here and it was wonderful. My friends were equally impressed with their dishes. This is authentic Mexican food, not Mexican-themed food or Tex-Mex. There are many dishes on this menu that I have never heard of but I am looking forward to trying, although the steak Monterrey was so good I am not sure I will be able to bring myself to order something else next time. A steak, marinated in lime juice, and smothered in cheese . . . it even sounds good. This will be my go-to place in Durant. The only negative thing: no Shiner Bock. I need my Shiner Bock! I cannot be that close to Texas and not drink Shiner Bock with every meal.

Best Mexican food in Oklahoma. I've been here a few times and have never been disappointed. They truly take the time to make sure everything is prepared right. They have truly unique food and drink specials. If you want good authentic Mexican seafood give this place a try.

Beef fajita enchiladas, cheese dip and salsa were all great. Traveling through or this would be a good-to regular for us.

This place is not very impressive. I've had bad service a few times and the food is mediocre at best. Also anytime I order a drink, the staff usually doesn't know what I'm asking for even though the drink will be from their own menu.

I love mexican food, but darn it all, sometimes tex mex just gets old. Enchiladas and burritos are tasty, don't get me wrong, but sometimes I want a place that doesn't just offer the standard American styles of south of the border cuisine. That's where Ceviche comes in. At insanely reasonable prices and with remarkably fresh ingredients, Ceviche combines tex mex and true mex and creates the best, most authentic Mexican food environment in the SE Oklahoma area. The fish ceviche is remarkable (though the diner milkshake/sundae bowl looks weird with fish and tomato in it). I mean really really good man. If you've got a cold GET THIS, you will not regret it. The fish is fresh and the bright citrus flavor blends beautifully with the fresh herbs and tomato. The carnitas fajitas are ridiculously good, as is the Carne Tampequia, Fish Tacos and Pollo Poblano. The desserts are good as well. Heck, even the salsa and coffee is remarkable. I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is not an idiot.

Went there for lunch. It was great and the service was outstanding. I will definitely go back. It was also a clean establishment.

Surprisingly good food! I had fish ceviche, which was good although I didn't think it was actually cooked in citrus juice but rather cooked with heat, and the shrimp adobo enchiladas. Served with a side of sautéed spinach, grilled plantains, and a mango pico de gallo. Doesn't sound like it goes, but it does! The shrimp were a bit overcooked but flavorful. We received a free bowl of queso, which was my only real complaint, it tasted like melted velveeta. The prices were affordable, service was speedy and employees polite, food was good overall. I think of myself as a "foodie", and this place is certainly worthy of a return visit!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
