We have eaten here three times. Jan 2014 First time was very good. Decor: outstanding Service:30 min wait. Food: Very original authentic dishes. 5 people different dishes. March 2014 Second time at best mediocre. Decor: outstanding very nice atmosphere. Service: no wait. Food: enchilada supreme- tasted very bland and almost frozen. Rice was over cooked and bland. Fajita's- very good, nice taste good presentation and well seasoned. Sept 2014 Third time fast food would have been better. Decor: outstanding but dated. Service: No wait 4 other couples in the 1hour 30 dinner. Food: appetizer chips and salsa/queso. our food arrived with in 2 mins of the appetizer. Chimichanga meal- precooked cold and no seasoning. rice was dry and way over cooked. Beans were out of a can and you could taste it. very watery and soup like. horrible presentation everything was running into the other. Enchiladas were store bought and it tasted that way. same as the other meal on rice and beans. we just sat and watched as the staff just walked around with nothing to do. In closing this is very unfortunate had high hopes for this restaurant. If you want expensive frozen store food its great, if not go to your local supermarket and enjoy the same food in your home.

I was happy to have a new place to try in Bartlesville. It was pretty good. My favorite restaurant in Bartlesville is still my favorite and wasn't replaced by this new option--though I will go back to this one. The price seems to be a little on the high side for Mexican food in small town Oklahoma. The food was pretty good. I had a quesadilla that was made with a perfect housemade tortilla. The chips and salsa were plentiful and pretty good, too. My husband liked his meal, too. My biggest complaint is that we were sitting in a booth. The booth benches were so far away from the table it was really hard to sit in them to eat. Request a table instead of a booth!

Food is so so at best.. bland and very tex-mexy. Everything seems to be centered around shredded chicken. Very little spice or mexican flavor.

I love salsa and queso. Sad you have to pay for the queso but I was good. That said food was ok. I had lunch pablano rellano it's was very paste for some reason not very good. Rice and beans was good but nothing special. My friend had lunch fajitas beef was very thin and over cooked. He said not much flavor. Veggies on it was good he added. Service was sooo slow for not being very busy. Couldn't get a salsa or drink refill. I had to ask three times before I got it. I asked for ticket took along time. 11 dollar lunch paid with a 20 and got asked if I needed change. Found that kinda rude for some reason. I have never been asked that before and wasn't sure how to take it.

Not bad at all. Tasty margaritas and very friendly service. Especially since I rolled in here about 10 minutes before closing time. I tried the carnitas and the perfecto margarita. Recommended if you are in Bartlesville and have a car.

Entrée wise, of the three plates we got, only the Carne Asada was worth getting again. Pass on the enchiladas fajitas (which had no chile sauce - I swear they sent out a quesadilla instead) as beyond the lack of chile sauce, the cheese was not very melted. I won't comment on my own dosh because o knew at the time I was ordering that I was probably making a mistake that would lead me straight into gringo "Mexican", and sure enough, it did. (For gringo Mexican, the taco amd burrito wasn't bad, and were much improved by the addition of my husband's roasted jalapeno. I didn't care for the chipotle sauce on my enchilada - it tasted like nothing.) However: the sides were great. I found their "hot" salsa (which I think had either roasted peppers or chipotle in it) to be great, and the guacamole was solid. The star of my meal was my papas con chorizo and the charros beans I had on the side. The refried beans were pretty good (better than La Tienda's) - probably used the charros as a base. The rice was decent as well. The service was some of the best in town - always made sure our glasses were full and took care of thongs very promptly. We'll definitely come back, however if I can't find an entree that matches the papas con chorizo, it won't be many more times. (The carne asada was good, but I'm not sure that it was good enough to tear me away from La Tienda El Rincon.)

Excellent atmosphere, a nice surprise, prices were fair and food was above expectations (produce was great looking and tasting not frozen or wilted)

Good food at a fair price. For Bartlesville this is a nice nice place. The atmosphere is good. It's busy and has a good feel. The smells in the restaurant are scrumptious. The service is attentive and pleasant. I will eat here again.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
