Two Frogs Grill has been our meeting place between Norman and DFW for years. This visit had some hits and definite misses. This time we shared the Catfish Leon and the Fried Seafood Platter. The catfish on the Catfish Leon was cooked well, but the crawfish were tiny and sparse. Unfortunately, the best thing on the Fried Seafood Platter was the hush puppies. The catfish was not fried in the customary corn meal and wasn't crispy. The coating on the frog legs fell off and wasn't crispy, but the frog legs themselves were tender and juicy. The shrimp were butterflied and about 60% breading. The sides (baked potato, fried okra, mashed potatoes, rice and beans) were mediocre and nothing special. The mashed potatoes with gravy were were lumpy and pasty. The fried okra is typical frozen okra. We also tried a apple dumpling. What we were served was basically a very overpriced bowl of melted icing with a lump of apple and a little crust. When it was served, we asked what was all over the dumpling. "It's our special homemade blah blah blah sauce." We mentioned that there wasn't anything on the menu about the sauce. The waiter just gave us a look, shrugged his shoulders and walked off. We had to spoon half of the white glop out of the bowl to even try to cut the "apple dumpling" without everything pouring over the side. It was so sickeningly sweet we both took one bite and put the bowl on the side of the table, almost untouched. We told them they really should let people know they were going to drown the apple dumpling in a sweet sauce before they order it, and they removed it from our table, but not from our check. We may be looking for another meeting place.

Great food! The atmosphere was a little wonky, I couldn't tell if they were going for a rock vibe or blues, but we loved the food!

Anticipated a casual grill by the name, it was more like a Supper Club. Priced to go along with a Supper Club. Food was very average.

Ate here on our way through OK. Place was cool and funky. Service was great and quick. My wife had the shrimp and daughter had the catfish both loved them I had a burger and it hit the spot. The beer was ice cold too(I drove b4 lunch) will stop by again when we pass through.

Showed up on a Friday night with a party of 20 without calling ahead. They were busy but had us seated within 15 minutes. Ribs were excellent. Service was great.

Excellent little restaurant. Chili's type atmosphere and food, but locally owned. They have live music, but I haven't been there when the music was going. I've had burgers, ribs, bbq chicken. All have been tasty and the service has always been good. This is a good option when eating in Ardmore.

This place is cool. Has a fun rock n roll/blues feel. There is a stage but I came early in the day. I'd like to come back and jam some tunes. The food was very tasty, hot and fast. I'll be back.

I've eating here for many years...even when it was located in Lone Grove. Nice, clean jazzy place to eat with nice bar area and live music on weekends at times. The food was great at first...served hot, tasty, seasoned and well-portion. Nowadays it's a hit and miss. Sometimes the food is hot and good others not so much. Don't know what has happened. Nevertheless a unique spot to dine while in Ardmore.

I came here on my way to Dallas and was extremely impressed with their service. I had the frog legs which were pretty good. Also they give you a very large amount of food here. I probably won't come back because nothing really grabbed my attention but overall it was a good experience. If I had to say what to get, I'd recommend the fried zucchini which comes in fried spears rather than chip form.

So this ends up being review #100 for my Yelp challenge. Kind of an odd spot for me. In my other Oklahoma review about Robertson's, I mentioned that I was taking a little ride to remember my mother's birthday. Robertson's was closed so I figured it's only another 18 miles to Ardmore, let's see what's there. Took the exit and the first place I see is Two Frogs. Why not? Big old sign that say's "Rib-it" with a big neon frog. It was daytime so he wasn't lit up. I guess something was happening there because they were putting up barricades to direct foot traffic. I was early, so I guess it was taking place later. I go in and it's pretty dark inside. I find out that they have bands that play there. Guitars and photos all over the place. Ziggy Stardust Bowie, Faces era Rod Stewart, Hendrix, Page, Plant, Steven Tyler and lots of guitars from mostly people who have played there over the years, including Willie Nelson. Not sure what is special about the place but ok. I got a Bayou chicken sandwich and fries and the chicken was juicy, but the "cajun" aspect of it lacked spice. The skin-on fries were great and cooked the way I wanted them. My server was ok, nothing special, usually a server checks to see how the food was, nope. I asked for my tab and when she returned with it, it was kind of a drive by. She dropped it on the table continuing onto another table without looking or saying thanks for coming....odd and not great. She refilled my water though.... so there's that. The menu boast ribs, steaks and chicken.... something called chicken in a three piece suit. Sandwiches and salads. Mostly what you'd expect in a place like this. On my way out there was a big bus with a Bret Michaels "Pimp my tour bus" or whatever the show is called banner on the cargo trailer behind it. So I guess the band finally arrived. All and all this was a good day and my mother and kiddo were on my mind.

We grabbed lunch here on our way out of town, and had the best ribs ever! My husband had them, along with red beans and rice, and I had chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. The coleslaw was very good too! We had a fantastic dessert--chocolate bread pudding with vanilla ice cream! We also had the spinach and artichoke dip for an appetizer.

This place is a little gem off of 35. We stopped for lunch. The 3-piece suite chicken was very good. The carrots were a tad too sweet for me but that is a personal taste. My son had the ham and cheese and thought it was great. The kids' burger is very generous in size. Our waitress, Sara, was sweet and very attentive. The ambiance inside was a bit dark for lunch but it would be fabulous for dinner with live music

Two Frogs is a really interesting place with delicious ribs and crawfish. When visiting friends in Ardmore last weekend, they suggested going here for dinner. The name sounds a bit like it will be a kids' restaurant, and the decor goes completely the other direction to show the owner's love of music. His superb collection of guitars was really cool to see, and there is also a stage for live bands. Although the place wasn't my normal type of scene, I was really impressed by the food! The Onion Thing starter was fantastic, and I really liked that the mains came with salads AND the choice of two sides. My boyfriend and I split the special of ribs and crayfish, which we upgraded from fried crayfish to the Cajun spice version, and we also added voodoo crayfish tails. The food was really delicious and blew me away, and the portions were plentiful so we were happy we shared the dish. Although we didn't have dessert, we were all ogling over the fact that cotton candy is actually a dessert on the menu! I think the best thing about this place were the tender ribs and the Cajun spice crayfish, and the waitress was also incredibly attentive re-filling our glasses continuously. This place was a good find although it isn't a place I normally would have gone based on judging it by its name and the look of it outside.

Not impressed. Waitstaff being horrible is the worst! Ordered Filet Mignon. Medium, over cooked. Manager is ok. Atmosphere is not very upbeat. It is 7:18 on Friday and it's like a morgue in here!!! Cheese fries were good salad seemed not fresh. Ranch dressing is good.

Friendly staff. Fast service. The problem was the food. Mediocre. Fun guitar collection. Probably hopping at night.

Food is OK. Cool guitars on the wall. Owner seems to be a little full of himself. Waitress was very good. Overpriced.

Over priced, and the food was not that special. I woudlrecomend Cotton Patch over the Two Frogs Grill.

This is a fun place. Cool atmosphere and really good food. On my second visit Seth was my waiter and was AWESOME. He went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. I recommend the catfish with crawfish voodoo sauce and the fried zucchini. The blue cheese vinaigrette was also the bomb! Next time I'm in Ardmore I'll be back.

Had the chips and salsa. Salsa tasted homemade. Shared a platter with catfish, fried shrimp and frog legs. The batter was a little heavy on the frog legs and needed more seasoning. The catfish and shrimp were delicious. Also tried the voodoo seasoned crawfish which were pretty good. Overall, good atmosphere, good food, average service.

I've herd a lot of different things about Two Frogs so I'm glad I stopped. Seating and service were very quick. The ambiance of the place is cool and relaxing. I chose the Cajun Catfish with green beans and fried okra, with cole slaw as my third side. The cole saw was mayo based but nicely spiced, and it was a heaping side dish on its own. My entree arrived very promptly. I enjoyed the warm Cajun spices of the blackened catfish and the green beans were chicken broth based and nicely so. My total in to out time one Sunday afternoon was 35 minutes. All and all, Two Frogs was a nice meal with nice service. I definitely recommend it to anyone in the area.

Just had the best Cajon catfish. The food is great. The building is great. The people are great. I stop in every chance I get. Love the frog legs.

Very fun decor. Loved the sign outside... Two Frogs Rib-it. Guessing this is a rib joint and we are gonna have to taste them. The meat literally fell off the bone. They didn't even need BBQ sauce cinnamon carrots had me searching for the recipe so that I can make those buggars at home!!

I like the food here. It is a little expensive for what you get, however I have never been disappointed and I've eaten here a few times.

Great food and great service! Nikia will take good care of you! Way better than Cracker Barrel! Also we recommend the blackened chicken alfredo.

Found myself in Ardmore with a need for a great meal. Two frogs grill nailed it. They delivered in spades. For starters the Cajun flavored crawdad tails were delightful. Everything from a crispy salad to expertly fried chicken was excellent; and you MUST must save room for the peanut butter satin pie. even if you don't like peanut butter that pie was to die for!! Total bonus: the famous musician guitars on display. Attentive wait staff was the clincher.

I was travelling through Ardmore at dinner time, so I decided to stop for a bite. I wanted to try a local place so I settled on Two Frogs Grill. I am very glad I did. Kaine was a very friendly and attentive server. I decided to eat the fried seafood platter. It was a ton of food! Everything was delicious, but the frog legs were perhaps the best I have ever had. They have an impressive collection of music memorabilia, including a wall of guitars that Hard Rock would envy. If you ever find yourself in Ardmore, OK, I encourage you to stop in. You will not be disapointed.

When one imagines a New Orlean's-themed restaurant and bar, Ardmore, OK is not the first place that naturally springs to one's mind. After you eat here, IT WILL. What a shock, not only to find ANY such place, but to discover that it was really VERY good! I've been to some of the best New Orleans has to offer, and the ambiance, service, and food is on par with almost all. Sadly, I'll rarely pass through Ardmore again, but if I do I'll make a special effort to stop into Two Frogs.

We stopped here during our stay in ardmore. It was a nice clean place. Customer service was great. Our food was delicious I had the Cajun catfish and it really was good. My husband had the fried shrimp and he loved it. The sides were also very good. They also have people play music on certain nights. Overall this place was great we are definitely coming back when we are in town or passing through Oklahoma.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was yummy and Cajun-ish. Had fried catfish and husband had grilled catfish. Both were good. Salad was a bit wilted without many frills added.

BEST RANCH DRESSING.... The Chicken Alfredo is awesome along with their salads. Have to spend at least an hour in the Voodoo Lounge as well. I try and stop everytime I go to Oklahoma. They are very friendly and down to earth...love the place!

Crazy cool place! The owner smoozes with lots of big names in the music industry... Very interesting decor - autographed guitars & pics. LOVE the fried crawfish tails. I always get filet with voodoo tails on top. Fresh salads.

I got the Fried Seafood Platter, which cost like 18 bucks, which I thought was expensive but whatever. The plate arrives and it's literally this platter overflowing with frog legs, shrimp, catfish, fries, red beans and hush puppies. I looked at it in shock for like five seconds. I ate half of it and I was well full. It's pretty good, not amazing, but pretty good. For the amount of food I got, 18 bucks didn't seem so bad. The atmosphere of the place is really neat. They've got a whole bunch of guitars from famous musicians lining the back wall. There are plenty of TV's to catch sports and whatnot. If you're on a long drive and need a good place to stop that's halfway between Oklahoma City and Dallas, Two Frogs is perfect.

The atmosphere and decor is really cool, especially if you are into music. The staff is very friendly. But Eek! The food. It just wasn't good. We all had something different, and we were all disappointed. That's 4 people not happy with 4 different dishes. I can't really comment on the chicken fried steak my boyfriend had since I didn't taste it. My son's lemon pepper chicken was so overcooked it was like sawing through thick cardboard. My son's friend ordered frog legs but got something completely differnt. They took it back, the entire 16 minutes it took for them to make the correct dish, our server disappeared leaving the rest of us thirsty. My catfish was horrible. Mind you, I have never had fried catfish before, but none the less, I hated it. The cornmeal batter was incredibly bland and the fish was mooshy. At $10+ each for a lunch portion, I just don't get the hype.

Above average but not great. The service and the atmosphere is top notch. The steak was very average, but everything else I ate was perfect. I do expect a better steak in southern Oklahoma.

Nice place. We tried the fried crawfish appetizer and loved it. My husband ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and said it was one of the best he has had.

Stopped here on the way back from Turner Falls when other options weren't available. I wasn't expecting to decor but was surprised and thought the inside looked great especially for music lovers. The staff was friendly and attentive and took care of our party of 6 just fine. I wasn't impressed with the food though. Thought it was average and overpriced. The catfish was bland and wasn't worth $16. There may be some better options but it just didn't make me happy for the price.

Great place to stop if ur passing through. Sweet atmosphere- looks like they occasionally have live music although they didn't while we were there. Rents and I were passing through. Tried out a burger and the ribs which were all great considering we were going to just stop at a whataburger. This was far better, and reasonably priced for what we got. They had quite a few seafood options as well as a variety of side items. Caution for vegetarians... Ur side salad comes w bacon (which I, not being vegetarian, greatly appreciated). Service was on top of it. In fact we wished it would have been worse considering how much of our road trip we had left and how many sodas we all drank. Overall good food and a recommended stop if u're looking for something a liiittle bit different.

Rock-n-roll themed restaurant with guitars all over the walls, kinda like Hard Rock Cafe. Although the portion is big, the taste isn't worth the price paid - I may be wrong, but that's what I felt after ordering the fried frog legs.

The place was pretty packed for a Weds night. We started with the chips and salsa, which were excellent. My body was screaming for greens so I ordered the salad, which hit the spot. I stole my daughter's green beans, which were excellent. Husband ordered the catfish, which was a pretty small filet but tasty. Kids had the burgers, which were only okay. The bartender took forever with our drinks but they were yummy. It was really nice to be able to walk here from our hotel after a long day in the car.

This was a great addition to weekend! The Stoney Larue Filet was fantastic and everything was made in-house according to our waiter. Crawfish and butterscotch pecan pie are a must. I will make this stop on my next visit to Ardmore.

Two Frogs is just "ok" I took my mother and son there tonight. My son loved his ribs. They were really the only thing worth ordering. I had the Voodo shrimp and it was forgettable . My mother had the chicken fried steak. It was pretty ordinary. Pricey for ordinary food.

  • Mayank D.

Good service, tons of options (chicken, steak, pork), special seasoning (vodoo and cajun), but be warned...most things are FRIED! Don't come here if you are trying to lose weight. Also, seems like the only game in town when it comes to live music venues/bars and a mini-club in the back. Probably a great way to meet the local crowd if your in town for business.

Got an overcooked rack of ribs. Wasn't going to say anything, just mentioned it to there waitress. Five minutes later here comes another rack. The cook personally delivered them and wanted to make sure I was OK. Now that's good service. Sometimes food doesn't come out exactly as we want - what matters is how they respond.

This place had some cool guitars on the walls, but that was it. The waitress wasn't rude, but just didn't care. Almost like we were wasting their time. We are here for a week for work and experienced a lot of places to eat and this was the worst. The food sucked. They must buy cheap chicken, because I ordered chicken 'fried like chicken' and the batter wrap was twice the size of the breast inside. It taste like it was in the freezer too long. My daughters chicken fingers had 1 bite out of them because she said it taste funny. My husband had some other chicken with bacon on it and he said it was a small piece of chicken that didn't taste like chicken. Not one of us finished our food, nor took it back to the hotel. Service was horrible, so was the food. I would go out of my way to NOT suggest this place to anyone.

In Ardmore, OK for a family reunion and came to Two Frogs to celebrate an aunt's birthday. We went here just based off the signs we saw on the highway, so we were taking a chance. I looked it up on my Yelp app on my phone and there was only one saying the ribs were good. Not a lot of help, but off we went anyways! Lots of options on the menu. Started out with chips and salsa. The salsa tasted homemade and was good. My sister and I split the chicken fried steak but got our own sides. Was really good. Not really huge, so each of our portions was small but that worked out for the better as we had appetizers and a salad to start. They had homemade croutons that were great...was sad they didn't sell them too. :( Our service was, eh, ok. Nothing to brag about. BUT, we had a kid table with 6 kids (ages 9-4) and they got better service with a different waiter. He was amazing...went around to each of them and squeezed the ketchup on each of their plates. He was just naturally good with kids and he got a big tip from us thankful parents! If you find yourself in Ardmore, OK (hey, there are casinos nearby!) go check 'em out!

herd about two Frogs for years and decided to stop while we where in the area! I always though it was a fish places? the Atmsphere is like a Bar there is Guitars and pictures of country and rock singers all over the wall it looks cool and there is a stage so I take it they have live music. I wouldn't say its a family place or that the food was all that good.I had the fried cat fish & hubby had a chicken fry premade not home made like the nenu stated the frys and beans may have been and the rolls were good. it's clean service was ok until he try to put a fast one on us. we paid with cash change back &14.00 & some. our bill wasn't that much eat of the lunch nenu. he put the $10.00 in his pocket and hand back 4 ones & herried off,we both looked at each other,we don't mind tipping good when its called for or the service is awesome! we called him on it he pulled the 10 out of his pocket,we could have gotten him fired I am sure or just left no-tip. we left him the 4 ones witch was more then enough. and I am sure we want be back. it was just one of those places to get in out of the heat and have a cold drink & look around...

We stopped here on our way to San Antonio and weren't that impressed. The waitress explained they were known for their cajun seasonings but all the food was very bland. We shared a cheeseburger and the seafood platter. The burger was excellent, however, none of the seafood had any flavor or spices. The only cajun seasoning I tasted was in the green beans which was rather gross. Service was good. Overall I give it C.

Loved the atmosphere. Had fun looking at all the celebrity guitars on the wall and staff was friendly. Food was good ( not fabulous) I had teriyaki chicken sandwich and fries. Think it needed a little more sauce. Husband has catfish and shrimp and said it was good, nothing to write home about. Dessert on the other hand was great!!! Had the peanut butter pie, beware it's very rich, which was all good with me. My kid ate her burger and fries up and I think prices are reasonable. Had a stage and I bet it's a fun place on a Friday or Saturday night!
