Came here with a group because Old Bag of Nails hadn't opened yet and we were in desperate need of fried fish. It was pretty ok I guess; fish wasn't as good as The Old Bag, and my Reuben reminded me that I don't like Reubens. We were glad they were open, and they were full of kids/families (that's important to me now,) but for the money we dropped it seems like it should have been better. Meh.

Been to a Rusty Bucket restaurant 2 or 3 times but never to this location. The experience has always been good but this one at Polaris stood out as the best. As always we had the potstickers and they were great, as usual. This time we tried the Texas Sirloin chili, wow it was excellent. Also had the Mahi Mahi tacos (very good). But to top it off we finished with the Sticky Bun Bread Pudding and it's worth the drive to Polaris !!! Oh yea, service was great also.

This is one of my go to lunch spots. When I'm feeling like a healthy lunch I like the a cup of chili, and the Salmon or Double Nickel Chicken Salads. When I want to splurge I love the Italian Torpedo sandwich and seasoned fries. They have about 20 beers on tap. The selection is great and they often have some hard to find craft beers. There is a small patio that I enjoy on nice days. The inside is warm and inviting and there are a ton of TV's. The staff is friendly and I've always received great service.

I had their veggie burger and fries as a carryout order. Good service, but mediocre food. I could have saved money by getting the same meal at BK (which is a good veg burger). I wouldn't order again. That is all.

Everything I've tried here is good. The burgers are really good. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes is different with the BBQ dressing and pretty good. Quite a lot of BBQ flavor maybe order without and use ketchup if you don't like different good either way. Ruben = great

Good American style food and a decent beer selection. Only complaint is that I order carry out often and it almost always is in the 30-45 minute range even though they always tell me 10-15. You'd think I'd learn, but I also don't want cold food

We love this place.PLEASE BRING BACK THE CHIPOTLE WINGS!!! that's the best sauce you had. Drinks are great using fresh fruit. We are regulars and will continue to be!!

For a local bar kinda place, they really know how to cook fish! Fish and chips had moist fish, crispy fries, piping hot when served. My salmon salad was incredible. Salmon was cooked perfectly, very surprised. Being from Louisiana, the "blackened" salmon was just hot rather than seasoned, but still good. Our waitress was a little overwhelmed and got the drink order wrong, but quickly made up for it by covering the cost of them. Our tip MORE than covered the cost of the drinks. We're only here for a week but I can see us coming back here.

Had a Otterbein graduation party here last Saturday night! Our waitress went above and beyond! quick with the drink orders and the food was perfect! And it was crowded to boot, but never had to wait! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to have a little get together! Great job, I am a fan!

One of my favorite places on Polaris Parkway. It has came under new ownership and since then it's a complete transformation. I love the salmon salad as well as the bucket of peel & eat shrimp. It's high quality food, great service, and a fun environment. I think if you are out on Polaris on a Friday night you'll find yourself pleasantly surprised.

Ok I used to really love this place but after my recent visit not so much. I met up with one of best friends before she was to back to school. We arrived around 230 pm and proceeded to the bar and sat down at a booth. Word of caution do not do this because you will become the invisible customer. After waiting for about ten minutes my friend asked someone counting their money if a server could come over to which she replied she would get us one. Our server arrived in a huff and genuinely seemed put out. We asked for water and ordered appetizers of the peel and eat shrimp and the hot spinach dip. Our appetizers arrived in a timely fashion but the plates she brought were dirty ughhh strike two. We then ordered adult beverages um yeah that took fifteen minutes to receive after we asked our server where they were and they were not busy um strike three Im not so sure I'll go back worst visit ever and it's definitely left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Elvis Burger for me, French Onion Soup and parmisan crusted tilapia for my mom. Nice atmosphere, full but not over crowded. Waitress forgot the soup as an appetizer but that was the only hiccup. Good service, will definitely be back again.

Got to try a new 'test' menu item -- fish tacos. The fish was mahi mahi. Choices were blackened or fried. I got blackened and my wife got fried. Wow! Explosion of flavor. It must have been made with crack, because that's all I can think about. It was served with a side of beans and rice. This was about as uninspiring of a side a one could imagine. Fish tacos -- 10 out of 10 Beans and rice -- 2 out of 10. Beer choices were decent.

This place is a great place to eat at but can be quite busy on the weekends. I especially like going here with my girlfriend when the weather is nice as they have a really nice little patio. Be prepared to wait a while for a table though if it's during the dinner rush. The one thing they have here that is incredibly delicious that I ALWAYS get is their spinach. I'm not sure what they cook it in or how they cook it but it is one of the best things I've ever tasted in my life. They also have really great pizza. One time when I ordered their pizza they forgot the banana peppers. Even before they brought the pizza out they told me they had messed it up and gave me the pizza how it was and told me they'd make me one to go. And they also comp'ed my liquor! I said, wow free pizza and free beer, you know the way to a man's heart!! This place always has great servers here too, I'm not sure how they manage to get such good servers, maybe they pay quite well or maybe i've just lucked out but the service is always great. They have great fried pickles and I've yet to eat any entrees there that are not really good. The main go-to entree I usually get is the wasabi tuna wrap. Yes that sounds weird and yes it's healthy (OMG) but it's probably the best thing I've eaten there entree wise besides their pizza, which is much better than one would think from a non-pizza and non-Italian type place. All in all I really like this place, they have great friendly help, excellent food and large portions. Check it out, especially if the weathers nice and you can eat on the patio. You won't regret it!

This is a great little pub with a nice patio. The interior is reminiscent of way too many suburban pub style restaurants and is not the main attraction. The menu has a nice selection of pub style food - good sandwiches, burgers and appetizers. There is also a nice variety of general 'comfort' food and they have daily "blue plate specials". Good selection of beer and wine. The service was good - attentive without being intrusive - and our appetizer arrived in less than 10-12 minutes after ordering. Prices are reasonable although the beer (other than the basic domestic brands) was all generally in the $5 range. Domestics were in the upper $3 range. Great place to spend a late summer/early fall evening on the patio.

We've always had a good experience here. They have recently remodeled and will be able to utilize the patio as a "3 season" room. They explained that it will be open unless it is bitterly cold.

Always reliable for a good tasting meal in a friendly atmosphere. The Buffalo Chicken is the BEST in the City (I've tried and abandoned all others).

I am completely torn by this review! Not sure if everyone the other night was having a bad day or what...but I have eaten here numerous times and Love this place!!!! But the other night I called ahead to see what the wait time would be, and I was told 1/2 hr... That was great considering that BJs Brewhouse was 1 1/2 hours long, so my family went there. As anyone who has been here knows...there isn't anywhere to stand and wait. Two steps in and you are practically falling into the bar. So again, even though I was told our name was put down and it would be 1/2 hr, we waited 1 1/2 hrs, which the last 1/2 we spent calling other restaurants in the area to check wait times. The manager, who told us within 45mins of us waiting, the table that we were going to sit at cashed out, and she was just waiting for them to leave, that she would buy us any appetizer we wanted. If your customers are finished and cashed out and just shooting the breeze...you have the right to ask them to move it along...especially when you have people waiting for a long a** time!!! Also, forgot to mention...several people were seated before us that arrived after us, because they took two tables that they pushed together for a larger group apart...which if left alone could have fit our group of 7+ infant. As we were leaving the manager actually had the audacity to ask why we were leaving... I let my husband handle that. By the way...we were seated right away at the Blue Agave! Won't be back there for a long while!!!!

We had the fish and chips and the meatloaf, they were both excellent. Our waiter Gerardo was very attentive and made the dining experience very pleasant. The decor is a mash-up between bistro and sports bar and it works out just fine. In all a 3.5 diner that got an extra 1/2 star for Gerardo's service.

Great classic bar food. Excellent sliders and wings. Get them extra crispy with extra sauce. The best are the fried pickles. Get them as chips and not spears.

  • Keith B.

Decent beers - and as often is the case, the bar gives better service than the servers. The food is consistent and good - I've had several different dishes and it's been good. It's not my "go to" pub, and it lacks a certain charm their New Albany location has, but I keep coming back for the occasional happy hour or lunch outing.

7:35pm on Thursday. Place is 1/2 empty, seated right away. Waitress takes drink order (3 draft root beers and a Shirley temple) takes 20+ mins to arrive. Order onion soup, spinach dip appetizers, 30+ mins to arrive! Soup is luke warm, so is the dip....Salmon salads arrive overcooked and dry without any vinaigrette taste-just fish on lettuce with underripe sliced strawberries. This awful experience took over an hour and 20 mins to end.

Decent spot to while away a few hours on a lazy, hot Sunday. This location has a bit more personality than the Dublin location, which I swore off a few months ago due to the funeral parlor ambiance. Rusty Bucket is par for the course for Americanized "Irish" pubs - dark wood, TVs, large bar, etc, but they manage to pull it off better than, say, Brazenhead or Claddagh. Doesn't feel as desperate to appeal to 40-year-old balding golfers in khaki chinos and real estate logo'd polos advertising their own company. Beer prices are ridiculously high, which again, is what you expect at these joints - I had a Rogue Hazelnut Brown which was $5.95 for a "tall" pint, and an Angry Orchard cider, which was the same price. So, not cheap, but they were tasty and cold, so I won't complain. Rusty Bucket also rises a notch above the sea of bland, whitebread pubs because their food is pretty dang good. The wings are some of the best I've had in C-Bus - go with the Sweet Chili sauce (the "hot" options - sriracha and habanero - are a bit underwhelming, so I recommend going with flavor over heat). They are fried to perfection and come out crispy and extremely fresh. The reuben is also a highlight, as are the Bucket Bites and the fried pickles. They also make a really solid pizza - which, after a few pints, can easily be downed by one person. Service at the bar is attentive, but unobtrusive, and they'll be happy to throw on whatever sporting event your heart desires. So, belly up for a few pints.

Delicious food and the service is great. We did not have to wait too long since we had the bar as an option. Bartenders are fantastic!

The only reason they get even one star, is due to the delicious Double Nickel Salad. A Sunday afternoon on the patio resulted in slow service, and a less than mediocre turkey club with processed turkey. If you're looking for anything other than bar food, keep driving.

Overall the food is good here, your typical American Pub fare, but as the Columbus Buffalo Wing King (see columbuswings.com ) I have to say the wings are pretty good. They only have two heat levels, The Joe's original is a good medium heat buffalo style wing. The wings are fresh not frozen and tast great. The other flavor is habenero based and really doesn't have much taste to it.. I wish they would come up with a hotter version of their Joe's origina.

This place has decent food with a nice selection of beers on tap. I think the menu could use a little help. I had an Asian tuna wrap, that was served with a cucumber salad. Unfortunately it was a Greek salad with cucumbers, feta, and tomatoes, which didn't really match the wrap. The service was great and the place is definitely family and kid friendly.

I visited with my wife and 11-month old on May 12 and as a first experience goes I left wanting to go back as soon as possible. Our server Chelsea was very friendly and provided her suggestions once we told her that we liked our dinners. The atmosphere is sports bar-ish but only because of the plethora of flat screens around. There is adequate seating inside and on the covered patio and booths, tables and high tops are available inside. The bar area is quite large and there seemed to be a sizable selection of beers on tap. Both of our meals were phenomenal. The Asian tuna wrap is like a large sushi roll without the seaweed paper, and the veggie burger with the pepperjack toppings was tasty and provided just a little kick. I'd easily go with either selection again. We left feeling full and happy with our dinner selection, and we can't wait to go back at another time. Highly recommend the Rusty Bucket in Westerville.

We met here on a Thursday night for a girls' night out. They have a nice outside patio, but we opted for dining indoors since it was a very warm evening. They have a delicious appetizer menu...fun to try several and share! For an entree I chose the Asian Tuna Wrap. It was lightly seared tuna, with wasabi mayo. Crunchy veggies also filled the wrap. I loved it...one of the other ladies who ordered it did not...she was not expecting the tuna to be on the raw side...thought it would be more of a salad...just be sure to read the menu description before deciding. There is a nightly special menu, a pizza menu, and other "pub" items. Good selection of bar items for all...beers, wines, and mixed drinks.

The pizza and the wings here at the bomb. I went here on two separate occasions to experience this place. I was not disappointed either time. I went at lunch time like about 11:30am and had the wings and the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and broccoli. The broccoli and the wings were on point. Delicious. The wings have like a tomatoey taste to them (did I make that word up?) and was really different tasting than your typical butter and hot sauce hot wings. The broccoli had the right amount of butter to It as well as garlic. It was also still rather crispy. The cheesesteak sandwich on the other hand. Nothing to be desired. Old bag of nails sandwich is better. I went at dinner time and had the pizza and wings as well. The pizza was pretty good. The ingredients were tasty and the crust was crispy. Loved it. The service at both times was awesome. The wait staff waited on me appropriately. And the manager came over to see if we were alright. Love when they do that.

Beer selection was weak. Menu is typical bar food and underwhelming at best. I saw the bartender water drinks (as in add water) and mix wine in a single glass (as in 2 completely diff wine bottle pours in one glass). Atmosphere was lame. Will not be visiting any more of these.

They have a small tap selection, but it is diverse. The one that really stands out is the Great Lakes seasonal. The food is basic for a tavern style kitchen. The price is fair for bar and food. The overall value is hard to beat. The Rusty Bucket is a great stop for a weekday evening treat.

I've been here three times now. I've had a veggie pizza sans cheese twice and the steamed shrimp appetizer the other time. I am REALLY down with their pizza here. They also don't look at me like I have six eyes when I tell them I don't want cheese on it. (It's the little things, people...) The crust is amazing... not too thick, not too thin. It's topped with plenty of real, chunky, well-cooked veggies. Yum. It's just good. My only complaint here the third time was the service. I'm not even high-maintenance in this department, but it was just unexcusably crappy. Mr. Man and I had to visit the bar not once, but twice, to get refills of our drinks because our server was straight up MIA. That said, the previous two times, I'd had great service. The Rusty Bucket is good... not great. Their pizza, however, is great.

Two words: Bucket Bites!!! I love sliders, and these are my favorites. I also love the Char Grilled Chicken Salad. I'm salivating right now just thinking about it. The bar specials here are also pretty good. I quickly became a fan of Tequila Tuesday and Whiskey Wednesday. I've never, ever had a bad experience at the Bucket

This is a good looking restaurant. Lots of dark wood, everything matches. Service was very good. I ordered a plate of macaroni and cheese, and the real object of my trip, was an order of onion rings. The mac & cheese was pretty good and the onion rings were so-so. Well, maybe a hair better than so-so but still not what I was after. The drinks were pricey, as were the burgers. My mac and cheese was $9 which I thought was high. On the other hand, my onion rings were only $3.

I'd heard good things about The Rusty Bucket before, but I never had the chance to check it out. Then one night, my boyfriend and I went out to dinner with his parents and his brother. The venue they had chosen was The Rusty Bucket! I was pretty excited to try it out. We went out to the location on Polaris - it's kind of hidden away towards Westerville - east of 71. It's in this strip mall looking kind of place so it might be sort of easy to miss, but since it's in Westerville it looks really nice and upscale like everything does in that area. We had a little trouble figuring out the parking lot, but the parking was behind the restaurant. There were lots of spaces to park. My boyfriend and I got there early to find his brother already there. So we joined him at the bar for a quick beer. There was a pretty good sized crowd there that night. Then we decided to go ahead and grab a table so his parents could quickly find us and sit down right away. They gave us a booth, and the 5 of us were actually able to sit there pretty comfortably. Looking around, the place certainly looked very cozy. It was a laid-back pub-style joint with class. It wasn't dingy at all, but didn't look fancy. The style of the place and looking at the menu sort of reminded me of Old Bag of Nails. Pub food done right with quality in a comfortable environment. They had everything from burgers to sandwiches to pasta to unique appetizers like deep-fried pickles and hummus and pork potstickers. When his parents arrived we all decided on the spinach-artichoke sort of dip appetizer. When it arrived it was piping hot and we all dug in after it had cooled. The chips were of high-quality, not some store-bought out-of-the-bag chips. The dip was rich and creamy and delicious! We devoured it pretty quickly. I couldn't decide what I wanted when I was checking out the menu because everything looked so good. I finally decided on the All Jacked Up Burger that came with jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and onions. Fries on the side. The wait for the food wasn't very long, maybe about 15-20 minutes, but we were all talking and everything so we didn't really notice. When the food arrived it looked delicious. And it was! But my burger was really big so I decided to cut it in half and save the other half for later. The fries were also crisp and there was already ketchup at the table waiting for us. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. I can't remember who got what, but I know someone got the meatloaf and let me try it - it was great! I think my boyfriend got the Rusty Bucket Burger, with all the typical fixins and chowed it down! It was all great food and we had a really good time. After that, we all got some dessert to split. His parents got some strawberry shortcake dessert that was served in a glass. It looked good, but it looked like quite a lot! And I wondered if it was hard to eat out of that glass. I think they were trying to serve it parfait style. Me, my boyfriend and his brother decided to split the big chocolate chip cookie dessert that was topped with ice cream, chocolate sauce and whipped cream. It was so funny, because when it came out and we tried to dig at it with our spoons it was so hard to cut! It was like the ice cream had frozen the cookie or something! Once we managed to cut away a bite it was soft in your mouth and easy to chew. I don't know how that worked, but we were actually able to eat it. And it was really good, but filling, and we were glad that we were splitting it three ways. I don't think there was any way that any of us could have finished that on our own. This was the only time that I've been to The Rusty Bucket but I had a lot of fun and I would love to go back sometime. It's a great place to go with a smallish group and have a good time and enjoy some delicious food. The bar also seemed pretty cool - it was kind of an island in the middle of the restaurant floor. I didn't get to sit there long, but it looked like to cool place to come and watch the game and have a few drinks because there were TVs throughout the restaurant here and there. They also seemed to have a really nice selection of beers. From what I could see there was a lot of imports and microbrews. I believe they also have a happy hour and drink specials for certain nights of the week. We didn't try anything adventurous with the beers when we were there, we just all got some Bud Lights or something like that - but next time I want to try some of their other beers! I don't think the prices looked too bad. I think our burgers were around $9 or so, but the dinners were a little more pricey. Our desserts were around $5. Kind of typical prices for the area for a sit down restaurant. The location is sort of far out of the way, but if you're ever in the Westerville or Polaris area for anything, it's pretty close by to that. It's worth checking out, especially if you like pub-style places.

Meh.

Great beer selection. Very nice decor. The Rusty Bucket is a great spot for food and drink. A solid Cameron Mitchell Tavern. This place is great date spot. I have had many awful and many successful date at this place.

Disgusting. I will never return. My husband got really sick after eating their hamburgers. I had the most bland fish and chips. Menu sucks, its garbage.
