We just started eating here this summer and we love it. We eat outside and the sandwiches are hearty and VERY GOOD! Salads are big enough to share. However, our favorite is the pizza. The Maui Wowie is delicious. Last week we went to the Slowhand concert and had a terrific time. My only wish is that they served wine. I'm not a beer drinker and would love to sit on the patio and have a glass of wine.

Had a wonderful day here. Seriously, the service was incredible and coming from a group of hospitality professionals this is saying a lot. We enjoyed Dustin taking care of us, the Jenga in the back, great food and beers. Would go back in a heartbeat, and hope to check out live music next time.

A 5-star dining and service experience all around for this little, hippy-esque cafe in downtown Vermilion! Now--it isn't fancy, but it's warm and fun inside. You order from the menu at the counter and they'll bring your food out to you. They also have a bar where they serve up beers from all over the place--mostly craft brews, with two on tap. The bar itself is an old card catalogue they refurbished donning a large piece of bowling alley floor as the top. Super creative. When we stopped in, the owner and his wife were there and super-talkative! Both were very kind and accommodating as well. But the pizza is what really surprised me! It was thin, crispy and delicious. The sauce was fresh, zesty but not overwhelming and there were large hunks of fresh mozzarella melted perfectly. We tossed some fresh basil on top and had a fantastic time devouring it. We also paired it with a Greek salad, which was standard, but the dressing was homemade and very good. Overall we left feeling full and satisfied, but not in a pizza-grease-n-bread coma, which was very pleasant! I did have to knock one star off because when I went to the restroom, there was water leaking from the ceiling and it was pooled on the floor in the stalls. There was no sign about the leak and it didn't look like anyone had tried to do something about it. That's a slipping hazard they don't want on their hands.

The food was really good, ambiance is good but the bench seating was terribly uncomfortable and makes you not want to sit there too long. Options on the menu are fresh and our sandwiches were tasty!

We stopped here for lunch on the way home from Pittsburgh, it was a nice almost halfway spot to Chicago. Easy to find and a very nice location. After lunch we walked down to the lake just to see it, maybe a 5 minute walk. Pizza was very good and a nice beer selection. A great stop!

Not your ordinary bar food! Different and Delicious! Great thin crust pizza! Enjoy the 60's decor along with great bands!

I'm visiting from Southern CA and this place is a saving grace from all the diner style restaurants. Food is good... A little pricey. But I know it's more expensive to buy health food items out here. The decor is adorable and I love the cute pyrex mugs for coffee.

Great cafe spot. Went for lunch and had a mixed greens salad with cranberries, sunflower seeds, almonds, lemon-pepper chicken and raspberry vinaigrette. The salad was delicious, vinaigrette was a packet of Newman's Own dressing. Service was pleasant. If I were a local, I'm sure I'd stop by very often.

This place used to be amazing but they recently changed their menu and it's a total ripoff! $10 for the world's tiniest sandwich, really?? Bring back your treehugger sub and you'll have my business again.

Loved the atmosphere, great service, excellent food, and lots of beer choices! We went for lunch, but would love to go back at night, had a place for a band. Not a fancy restaurant, definitely a place to hang out and have some drinks. Also loved the music playing on the radio.

Great atmosphere, service, and food! We got the healthy hippie pizza (olive oil, garlic, caramelized pecans, feta, spring greens, and balsamic vinegar) and a couple of microbrews. So good!

An awesome pizza and sub shop. Outstanding food, great atmosphere and an excellent beer selection!

While not awful, the pizza crusts are factory made, pre baked shells. When you place an order all they do is add the toppings and bake it. Not worth the $ for what you get. I wish they would use real dough.

Love the food! This is not your standard burger or pizza place. Great food, good beer selection, and friendly staff! Wish I had the time to make it in more frequently.

We loved this place. My husband had the San Francisco and I had the Turkey club (panini) and they were both great. The craft beer selection was very good.

The food at Woodstock in Vermilion, Ohio is top notch. This restaurant almost belongs in a town where people would appreciate it better, however. They offer the most perfect pizzas, delicious sandwiches, and only the most fresh and (when in season) locally grown produce. The experience begins when you walk in the door and see the copious amounts of original, groovy artwork, then segues into casually ordering off of a wall menu of unbeatable choices and topping it all off with a brisk, craft beer. The owners are kind and courteous to the customers, and they truly go out of the way for even minor requests. There is nowhere that I would rather eat when in town, and I feel privileged to have had their food and environment in my palette. Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT, miss your opportunity to eat at Woodstock.

Decent food, and decent service. I am excited to see that they have now moved to a larger location over on Main Street. I was at the old location in late 2010 with a group that well had really squeeze all together due to how small this place was. The food was pretty good and like the two previous posts were saying, if you are looking for organic and/or vegitarian food...then this is a place for you. Sub sandwhiches, pizza is good. I look forward to going back and seeing the new location.

Groovy atmosphere and really groovin' food. I ordered the chef salad and was super impressed. My fiancé ordered the shrimp BLT and can't stop talking about it! Love this quaint lake town! Can't wait to come back.

Wow. Wow. Wow Not only do I love the decor and overall vibe of this place; the food was incredible! I got the Jim's California club (named after the owner) and it lives up to his name! I will most definitely be back in the near future to try another option on their menu. Oh and let's not forget that they have a great option for beers as well!

First time here, Loved it! Nice little hole in the wall- family friendly. Small cafe style; offers subs, wraps, pizza and craft beers at decent prices! Next time in the area I'll be coming by again. I Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Stopped by one evening, had a good experience. Pay at the counter place, a small dining room w/ a few tables & small bar area. Cold beer - a few domestics [PBR] and a good qty of craft beers. Got a 12inch pizza - The Dude - and two beers, $21.00. Pizza is thin crust, all fresh ingredients. Not a bad summer night so wife & I sat outside which is really nice for hanging out. Much larger than inside. All in all a good hangout. Wish I could've stayed longer.

What a fun little place near Main Street Beach in Vermilion. Our party ordered the Tomato Parmesan soup, Cajun shrimp BLT, Maui Waui pizza, and the Right On Man pizza. Everything was delicious, the only criticism I can give is that the Right On Man (white pizza) could use a little salt. The service was impeccable! Everyone was cheerful and had a smile on their face. They made sure that we had everything we needed.

This place is a lot of fun with great, fresh food! And the best part: dog friendly patio!!! Our chocolate lab was in heaven the whole time. Great beer selection (wish they had draft too), great food, and great staff. We've been twice and had a great experience both times.

Don't have a kids menu at all! Do not recommend if you have young children. We were from out if town & read reviews but not impressed. Lunch failure for how much this place cost!!

Great place for lunch in colder weather, and on summer nights for dinner and a few beers while you dine on the patio listening to live music! I haven't tried the pizza yet, but the subs (the Smalls are HUGE), salads and soups are just delicious! They have quite an impressive craft beer selection including at least 2 on tap; they also have vegetarian (not vegan) dinner options, buy locally and make great food! Affordable, fun, like stepping back (sort of) into the late 60s. And I should know, I was a preteen back then! Fun place!!!

Tiny cafe in downtown Vermilion specializing in a variety of creative soups, salads, submarine sandwiches, and thin crust pizzas. The walls are decorated with vintage 60's & 70's rock'n'roll posters. The menu strives to be vegetarian friendly and the owners insist on using only the highest quality meats, cheeses, and produce (locally grown when in season). Outdoor seating is available in the summer both street side and in the small alley that runs out back.

This place just gets better every year! I used to work here, and fell in love with the food then. Over the years, the menu and the atmosphere just gets better and better. Jim and Mag do an excellent job. Definitely my favorite restaurant in Vermilion.
