A Vermilion standard! This is the place to be for breakfast. The menu is HUGE with every type of breakfast delight you might want from a simple bowl of oatmeal to crab cake benedict. And at the new location there is much more seating so you can bring the whole crew to chow down. Staff is always friendly and quick. Don't be surprised if one server brings your drinks while another takes your food order. They have always done it this way and serve you well all the same. Food usually comes out decently quick and still hot. No mushy, cold breakfast here. Locals call it Martino's or International but they all are talking about the best dang breakfast in town.

The staff were extremely friendly. Very quick and excellent service. We were cautiously optimistic about the food and we were not disappointed. We had the cabbage roll dinner and bratwurst and pierogi dinner. Both were very good!

The staff is kind but service was slow, the food was less than stellar. I ordered the prime rib and was expecting a large piece of prime rib with Texas toast, what I received was shaved mystery beef on toast. I tried to eat it only to find it awful. I requested a replacement, a steak sandwich tough to ruin, but when I got it I found on the bun the SAME mystery meat. I will not go back.

Service was stellar, I really liked our waitress and bartender (we sat at a booth but alcohol service was by bar staff) - they kick ass. The food was a bit underwhelming - great portions (maybe even too generous) and the price was very affordable. I think maybe they're just too ambitious - they have food from everywhere! Want gyros? Want latkes? Want a burrito? Want a burrito full of sauerkraut and gyro meat with onion rings and hollandaise sauce inside? Actually that sounds pretty awesome but the problem is I'm not sure Martino's can be super awesome at any particular thing because there must be 1000 different ingredients back there in the kitchen and the poor chef(s) have to figure out how to combine them into a whole globe worth of dishes. So I ordered a dish, it was generous and well presented, but kinda not spectacular on the tongue. Well, you know - I'd still go back to Martino's. It's all right.

We have been to the restaurant several times. We always find something for our families diverse tastes. The chicken dumpling is just like grandma's home made soup. Excellent food. Great service

Not many restaurant choices in the area, but I would recommend avoiding this one. Definitely wasn't worth our time, would have been better off having Marco's pizza across the parking lot. The place is cute, but that's about the only compliment I can give. We said we needed a couple more minutes and the wait staff took far too long to come back. We sat with our menus closed and she walked past us just looking around 3 different times without coming to take our order. I ordered fried chicken and mashed potatoes with gravy, mashed potatoes were pretty good but the chicken was flavorless and over-cooked. Our grocery store deli has better fried chicken. One thing I can say is the chicken dumpling soup is very good. My husband ordered the special, which was yellow perch, he said it was decent but nothing impressive, and portion size is too small. We both left still feeling hungry. Menu has too many items to choose from, it seems it would be better to focus on a few items and making them really good than having so many satisfactory at best items. Certainly not impressed and definitely will not be here again.

Went for Sunday breakfast Buffett. The place was busy!!! Buffett had limited selections and the food on there wasn't very good. Service was ok. Way overpriced too!!!

We stopped here for breakfast. Beautiful inside. Many menu choices. Delicious food. I had the veggie crepes. Yum. My husbands western omlet was huge and good. Fresh local ingredients. Price was about $2 per main dish higher than diners. Equal to Bob Evans but nicer. Oh, also the service was outstanding.

Nice atmosphere and friendly service. My martini was very good too. BUT, the food is definitely mostly frozen and it tastes it. The menu is incredibly way too big and it takes way too long to decide on what to order. They need to cut down on the quantity and focus on quality.

Perfect food and service for Vermilion. As far as I a concerned they have the market cornered (vermilion) . We had a great breakfast with the most perfectly made poached eggs that I've ever found when traveling n the road. Great wait staff.

Nice place to go if you have a number of people with you who all have different tastes. Really wide variety of menu choices from all types of cuisines. Most of the dishes we tried were good but not spectacular. Everything was reasonably priced. The service was excellent, our food arrived quickly and was well prepared.

This is a really great place to have dinner with friends and family. The french Toast that I had for dinner was very good.

love breakfast here... lunch and dinner are a little on the hit-or-miss side, but breakfast is great (especially for a small town)

Mediocre food. Can't make up their minds if they want to be fancy or a diner. Served crabcakes without a proper sauce like a Remoulade but cocktail sauce. Chicken looked like it was from an already prepared frozen bag. Pasta was soft and just warm like it had been sitting a long time somewhere. Bland tasting. Salad was from a bag.My perch was frozen. Except for the crab cakes (which was slightly suspect) I don't think there is anything that isn't frozen for dinner. No passion at all for the price. Seriously I was waiting for Gordon Ramsey to walk in and say "Utter BULLSHIT!" Never again.

Great selection and price for a small town biz. Tasty food as well. Soups tasted homemade

This is where the locals eat. Consistently delicious food served promptly and always piping hot. I have been eating there regularly for two years. The only thing that is less than five stars is the coffee.

My family owns a condo in Vermillion, and we have gone to Martino's for breakfast nearly every time we've visited for the past 10 years. In those 10 years, I have NEVER had a poor experience here. Consider that I've really never had anything other than breakfast food here, but it is awesome. The International Platter hits the spot when you are craving a boatload of breakfast food. Two MASSIVE pancakes, a half a plate of hash browned potatoes, eggs how you want them, and either sausage or bacon. In my opinion they should add a slice of toast for anybody that prefers to dip toast into their over easy eggs, but that's just nitpicking. I've added in their fruit in the past, had omelettes, and even a Philly cheesesteak once, and I've never been dissatisfied. The service has always just been normal, never blown me away, but what are you expecting? I will continue to make my half dozen visits a year, and enjoy them thoroughly.

Been to this place many times, never impressed. Food seems to be mostly microwaved/ frozen. May be alright if you have no other options.

This is my go to breakfast place in town. As others have mentioned, their lunch and dinner are hit and miss, but the breakfasts never let us down! First of all they are THE only restaurant in the area that carried Douwe Egberts coffee. It is a Dutch coffee company and their roast is smooth and mellow and I always have at least three cups! They have many great omelet selections and I love the fact they they have a nice sourdough bread that toasts up nicely to go along with the eggs. Another great breakfast choice is the blueberry pancakes which is loaded with fresh berries and you can get it with maple or berry syrup. They also have crepes and other international type breakfast items, but I haven't made it past the two mentioned above because they are so great.

I have never had poor service or bad food here. Everything is fabulous. This is real homemade stuff - not frozen food heated up. My husband just had the best chicken dumpling soup I have ever tasted. He followed that with the English style fish & chips which was HUGE and delicious - accompanied by a super cold Bass ale. I had the brats and pierogies. So tasty I had to eat the whole thing though it is really too much food. My son had 2 adult pancakes with bacon. It was way more food than this 13 yo boy could eat - and that happens pretty rarely these days. My daughter had the kids spaghetti without sauce so can't say much there except that her cinnamon applesauce was tasty. No room for dessert - though I was quite tempted. Last word - we go here every time we are in town. We went back 2 days later for lunch again and were wowed again by the great food and wonderful friendly service.

Great local restaurant. Staff is freindly and service is prompt. Food always seems made fresh, not all frozen. Daily specials have never disappointed. Nice selection on the menu, with very reasonable prices. I have eaten there twice this week. Most meals are $8 - $20
