Great buffet, more choices than I expected. From sushi to salad bar I was not disappointed. Every time I go here I am not disappointed. If you like Chinese food, a good price, variety and an all you can eat buffet I recommend China Garden.

I've enjoyed every meal I've had there over the years. Service usually good and prices reasonable. Normally a very quiet place, but last time I was there it was evident that the management or employees were also taking care of their own small children. I went in to get a to-go order and the woman waiting on me was holding a baby in one arm while using the other to give me the food and take the money. Call me crazy, but that just rubs me the wrong way. Hopefully, they keep the rugrats out of the dining area. I have noted this going on at other businesses in the area. If this is a trend, I'm not liking it.

Great Chinese restaurant! Have been going there with my family (4 kids) and have always enjoyed their food. My kids love the egg rolls, many choices of entrees and egg drop soup. Too many good things to try at China Garden. Also, while staff may have a little trouble with English, they have no problem in getting food out quickly and presenting it well. Also, a clean restaurant that owner take pride in its appearance. If your coming down Rt. 2 going away from Toledo, stop in and have a great meal.

Always quick with take out orders, great service and awesome food! Their crab Rangoon is delicious! Definitely recommend them if you're looking for an inexpensive yet delectable meal!

pleasant inside and good service. Food was NOT great. Rice had a funky smell to it and egg rolls were very greasy. I don't think they ever heard of corn starch as a thickener - every soup and gravy had a translucent look.

China Garden sports a pretty extensive menu with more choices than the average Chinese place. All the standard entrees are there (and they seem to do them well), as well as some interesting rarer items. I usually don't experiment with my order too much, so I can't comment on all of them, but for things like General Tso's, almond chicken, and sweet and sour, nothing stands out as being great, but it is all good. I would point out that I really like their hot and sour soup. Also, the egg rolls are excellent; some of the best I've had. There is a lunch menu with cheaper prices and smaller portions, which is always nice to see. I also like that the waitstaff always asks you to pick the level of spiciness in the dishes so you don't get surprised or disappointed. One standout feature of China Garden is the dine-in experience. Unlike many (most?) Chinese restaurants in the area, the dining room is bright and filled with natural light from the large windows. I hate how a lot of Chinese places can be so dark and claustrophobic . Here the dining room is well-lit and clean, and the staff is very friendly. I would never plan a night around a meal at China Garden, but it is the perfect "convenience meal". If I'm going through town and need to grab something to take home, or if we're out doing other stuff and want to eat out (but stay in Swanton), this place fits the bill. There are better Chinese restaurants for sure, but China Garden is perfectly acceptable and I've never had a bad meal here.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
