Great spot for breakfast. Busy on Sunday morning...there's a group that has a standing reservation for the big table by the door but they gave it to us because their group was small that day. Great friendly local greasy spoon. Like the Star diner in Norwalk...small, leisurely service, great food, great prices. Bottom line: black coffee, corned beef hash, fried egg on top, and yes I have a hangover.

Not much to look at but clean, clean restrooms, and the food is very good. Clearly their cook knows how to whip up an excellent breakfast.

Our party of 8 had breakfast here today and it was great. It's a typical diner/breakfast joint with tables and a lunch counter. The food was great, served piping hot and abundant. Then the bill came and it was $46 including tip! A real bargain. We were renting a condo at Chesapeake Lofts so it's location was super convenient as well.

Well the Port of Sandusky is a dive place to eat but the food is good and cheap.You could serve world hunger with these prices.3.50 for a breakfast of eggs,bacon,toast,and grits.The place is run down a bit but for this city it does okay.I eat here several times a month and will continue too.I will admit to a tourist who comes to cedar point this might not be the place for you.To a person who wants a good local feel and want good food then try this place out.The service is decent even when it gets busy.

Could have been great if we actually got service. Came in on a sunday morning. The place was pretty full but there were open spots at the bar. Sat down and we never were greeted. We never even got menus. The older lady behind the bar was a bit busy cashing out customers, but it would take 2 seconds to drop off a menu and let us know she would be with us in a min. After making eye contact with the lady at least 3 times and them cleaning up the seats next to us we had enough. 15 minutes of waiting was plenty of time to give them a chance.

Definitely a dive but offers good food cheap! They offer the best sausage gravy I've had in a restaurant. Doesn't beat mine but at least the cook knows enough to brown the flour. Don't go if you're a germ-a-phobe. It's not disgusting but there's been years of greasy breakfast's running through this dining room and even when clean, it has a dingy look to it. I do NOT recommend the newly advertised cappuccino or iced coffee. They must have recently acquired a powder based machine like what you see at a convenience store or gas station. I'm not sure why I expected a real barista style coffee. Delicious as the food is, it's clearly not that kind of joint. Just know what you're ordering :)

When you consider what you get for the money this place is five stars. Service is good and food quality and quantity are above the rest in the area. It's not fancy but just plain outstanding place to go for a good breakfast or lunch. I take a lot of friends there and they always want to go back. They can't believe they didn't find the place sooner.
