The last time I was here was before Yelp came out and I thought that in that time it might have improved. Alas, I was wrong. The service has always seemed to be pretty good which is really the only positive thing about this place. And the cookies. I almost forgot about the good chocolate chip cookies they make here fresh upon ordering them. There is a birthday celebration, it seems, every 10 minutes so you have that noise to contend with. Granted, I should have known better than going to Max and Erma's and expecting a more quiet sit down atmosphere and really have no room to complain about the noise of the birthday cheers that happen often but, in all honesty, I forgot they did that here so I have no one to blame but myself for going into that atmosphere. That being said, the food still sucks. I ordered the garbage burger that had so much stuff on it that there was no way that it would be a flavorless heap of nothingness. It was a flavorless heap of nothingness. I didn't have a head cold and I can taste things just fine. The meat patty was pretty much just plain old ground beef that was cooked up with no seasoning. It had no taste at all. All of the fixings that they put on there must have cancelled each other out because the only thing that came through once and a while was the occasional mushroom that was on there. The guacamole, the onions, the lettuce, tomato, sauces, cheese, all had no flavor. Amazing! I'll wait a few more years to go back but I'm not holding out much hope that their food will improve.

There is a Max and Erma's Restaurant at the CMH airport. I really quite enjoyed it. The best thing they do appears to be the burgers. I had the one that featured roasted tomatoes, basil and tomato spread and then basil leaves. It was excellent. I appreciate that the kitchen prepares the burger to order. I like a bit of pink and they were able to accommodate. Service knocked it down one star. I had trouble getting a server's attention. In fact, I'm still at the table and I'm having trouble finding anyone to give me my bill. This would be understandable if the place was busy.

Good food. Extremely dirty establishment. The food was perhaps the only good thing this location has to offer. Its evident that the store is ran by teenagers as it looks like a teenagers room. Dirty floors, food stuck on tables. Even a strange gunk stuck to the wall by one of the booths. Not someplace I would recommend

My advice DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION !!!!!!!!!!!!!! The place was FILTHY food all over the floors tables were sticky and it just felt like I should clean up my table before I sat down with my wife. Next thing it took 25 mins. to get a bottle of bud light and a coke , Our waitress was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO slow . So we waited to order and it took another 30 mins for our dinner to arrive no big deal there . But when the food came , I ordered the Laredo steak with baked potato and steamed broccoli . with had the chicken quesadia , Okay so now the arrives my steak with cold the broccoli was cold and the baked potato was barely warm . the wife's chicken qeusadia. it was cold and 2 of the flour tortillas had 2 small cubes of chicken and nothing else . When I asked to see the manager she was like okay I will reheat this meal for you WHY WOULD I WANTED A REHEATED MEAL ????? My advice get someone in there to clean house get some people in there that have some pride in working for your restaurant. I will NEVER step into another Max and Erma's !!!!!!

Dining with my aunt on a random thursday evening around 7pm and there's a 15 minute wait. Friendly staff banter with guests and the wait goes by quickly. It's a very busy evening and our waitress Ciara is running from table to table, but she never missed a refill and had taken our orders correctly. Where I fault Max and Erma's, especially the manager (Phil) and the cook: They can't cook a burger to order. Twice. We both ordered a burgers medium. Both came out charred, completely gray throughout and dry. Plus they were missing pickles! We send them back. The manager apologizes and personally brings out the new burgers. Again, completely gray throughout with a tiny sliver of pink. The edges were charred and dry. I asked him if this is what they call medium and he responds "it's close". Really, you're satisfied with being "close"? What if I pay "close" to the amount? He says that it wouldn't bother him to redo it AGAIN! I said it definitely bothers me. He removed our burgers from our bill. That's why the food gets two stars, not one. If you're going to personally escort my re-cooked burger to me, wait around, see if it's right and never sever the wrong thing twice in a row.

A Columbus, OH staple family restaurant chain. All-American menu, burgers, salads, desserts, and a smattering of processed-bad-for-you-fried stuff that contributes to the degradation & fattening of middle America. Service is friendly, food is alright. If you're hanging, I'm thinking this place has everything you'd need to fix it in a jiffy.

I've ate here three times. 1 time with okay service 2 with horrible service. I even had a waitress here look at my husband and smile and be pleasant, but look at me a second later with a severe attitude to make a point. I asked her name even though I knew what it was and she lied to me. She was a bit embarassed when I asked to speak with the manager, who in return laughed at the situation. My more recent visit, the potatoe soup was sour (which I was informed did not have sour cream in it) and my shrimp was not cleaned.

This location has some decent tasting food and good customer service. I would recommend to come at earlier times during the day to avoid getting served by the teenage waiters.
