This is one of those places we've passed a billion times on the highway but never went to until Saturday. We decided the way to go was the sampler for dinner as it had meatloaf, chicken and dumplings and ham with 3 sides plus bread. I got the sampler with the sugar ham over the salt lick ham, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese and green beans. I got the corn cakes and the Mr got biscuits so we could try each others. He got the sampler with steak fries, mac and cheese and cottage cheese. The meatloaf was kinda nasty. It was really greasy and I don't like green peppers in mine so it got doused with ketchup. The ham wasn't impressive either...pretty bland and I don't know where the sugar comes in because I didn't taste it. The chicken and dumplings were decent. They were reminiscent of my great grandma's but honestly, all of their stuff tasted pre-made or from a can. The green beans definitely were. I have to say I should've just gone all carb because the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese were awesome! The Mr felt the same about his entrees, his steak fries were really good (I'd go back for the all carb plate!) The biscuits were decent but the corn cakes were NASTY and dry! One bite of those was all we needed. I don't know we'd feel the need to go back necessarily but I suppose I wouldn't turn it down, I'd just get a different entree like maybe a burger or a chicken dinner. Oh yeah, I guess I do want to try their breakfast but I won't be making a mad dash anytime soon. We're both baffled by the high ratings.

If anyone were to ask me where I'd want to go for breakfast or brunch, I would ALWAYS tell them Cracker Barrel! This place is just SO homey, VERY affordable, and DELICIOUS!! All their breakfast items are soooo good. And did I mention they cook their eggs in bacon fat? Don't cringe! That's how they rolled in the old country days. Cracker Barrel is just keepin' it real by cookin' just like their grammas did. If you like bacon, this is the place to be! The pancakes, grits, hashbrowns, and eggs are my favorite. Oh yeah, don't let me forget to mention their biscuits and apple butter. Sweeet Jesus! I wish they would build Cracker Barrels nationwide...

Classic Cracker Barrel. Tons of food. I always get the chicken and dumpling dinner. It comes with three sides & I always get fried okra as one of them. Most meals come with biscuits or cornbread (I much prefer the biscuits). If you like vinegary hot sauce be sure to ask for the one with the peppers floating in it, it really compliments the chicken/dumplings. Our server (Thelina?) was fantastic and went above & beyond. They make you pay your check in the country store so beware if you have a soft spot for candy or country kitsch :-)

So i normally don't review chain's because well, they're chains and typically it's decent food, nothing to complain about and nothing to write home about... UNTIL NOW. This cracker barrel takes the cake in terms of horrible food. The service was fine, but the food was horrendous enough where I hve to let everyone know. I was here this past saturday evening around 8, so no excuses about a 'overworked' kitchen staff. Had the country fried steak with mac & cheese, hashbrown casserole and steak fries. Wife had the catfish, green beans, and okra. Everything was cold. i'm not talking warm under the heat lamp, but just room temp. I mean, it's not hard to nuke these things. My food was for the most part fried or from a batch of pre-made stuff over a double boiler (i'm being realistic here), so how hard is it to plop the steak and fries in so that they're piping hot and yummy when i get them? Also, the green beans LITERALLY tasted like they opened a can, and plopped it on her plate. you could taste the metal from the can. GROSS. I'm not one to bash on chains, since they probably have all thse protocols to ensure a consistent experience but this one really sucked.

The only reason I gave this place 1 star is, you can't give negative stars!! My husband and I went here to have breakfast together, they brought out my meal and then the waitress asked if there was anything else she could get us. I said "yeah, my husbands meal". She went to see what was going on, the manager came back and said they screwed up his eggs and they were remaking them. I asked for some ketchup and told her she brought me the wrong ham. She took it back and I waited another 5 minutes for ketchup, by the time I got it the eggs were cold, I sent them back and told them not to bring them back (because I didn't want to wait another 20 minutes) they finally brought my husband his breakfast by the time I was done with my breakfast, when she dropped off his breakfast she said, I took off your orange juice for all your trouble. I asked the manager if they had comment cards and she asked what was wrong...I told her after they screwed up most of our breakfast and we ended up sending most of it back all they do for us is take off the orange juice, the one thing they didn't mess us! She says if you give me your bill I'll take care of it for you. If your going to do that after the customer says something shouldn't you do it for them before they say it? Horrible service and food!!!!

Pretty much just what you would expect from a cracker barrel. The size of the restaurant was a bit smaller than back home which led to us actually having to wait five minutes for a table which is pretty unprecedented in my experience. Our server was adequate and the food came out the same as it always does.

If you're looking for an old fashion country restaurant, this is the place. And this is certainly an upgrade from Bob Evans. My family has been going to Cracker Barrel for years during vacation road trips, and I continue to go back. And this location is great, I've never had an incredibly long wait. Which is great.

I love food from this restaurant because it reminds me of how my parents (they passed away in 2009 and 2011) use to cook and even just sitting down at my parents kitchen table. I hadnt been there in awhile and it was so nice to go there after black friday shopping with my fiance who has never been there. I had such an amazing breakfast with grits, fried apples, scrambled eggs, biscuits with apple butter and chicken fried chicken. I can still taste the apple butter, so good!

Cheap and quick stick to your ribs comfort food. This is a cracker barrel, consistent with any one of the other dozen cracker barrels I've ever been to in my life. If you want a place where you'll be seated quickly, served just as fast, and given large portions of ok quality comfort food, this is your place.

Really enjoy coming here on Sunday's! It's really like a home cooked meal that you can enjoy with your family or friends. Service and staff are friendly and do a good job of checking up on you.

Excellent food. Great prices. What is there not to love? Always get great service. Never any complaints on the food (pancakes & hash brown casserole are superb). Their gift shop is awesome. I can find candy here that brings me back to my childhood (not too many places carry it anymore). One of my personal favorite places to eat when I have to eat cheap.

Saturday 7pm SEVEN WORDS Comfort Food / This is a Breakfast Place. I've been to this (as well as many other) Cracker Barrels before. However, it's always been for breakfast. We had a $50 Gift Certificate, so we decided we'd try something new and go for Dinner. The restaurant was about half full, so we were seated immediately. The server arrived in no time flat for our drink orders. She quickly returned with our drinks and took our order. I ordered the Fried Chicken Salad; my mate ordered Bean Soup. Our food arrived in 6-7 minutes, but the bean soup was cold. The waiter must have been at the end of a run, so we couldn't flag her down. However, the manager was there and when we tried waving him down, he was oblivious. When he finally saw us (at least three hand-waves and being in the front 2-top near the fireplace), he took the soup and returned about 6 minutes later. Problem was, it was lukewarm and dried out. The manager did not apologize, nor did he stay to have us check. This time, however, we quickly flagged him down and he acted puzzled, but said, "I'll start over with a brand new soup for ya." The wait this time was 10 minutes and the waitress kept us company with polite conversation until the manager returned. "Third time's a charm," he said. However, still no apology. Well, there was no offer to remove it from the bill, even after my mate ate less than half the soup. We got a doggie bag and took it home. However, I'm hard pressed to try this place again for dinner. TIP: Go for breakfast. It's what they do best.

Pancakes good, fast service, gravy and biscuits horrible. Had raw flour taste and was almost pure white in color. Would not go back to this CB.

In a word, later on a holiday, in a word lazy and rude Like pulling teeth to get a drink refilled, but couldn't even finish eating before taking my glass and plate and then the simple nerve to start sweeping up under our table while we are still sitting there

I have a history with Cracker Barrel! I've been coming here for years with my parents during vacations..and then sometimes just for the fun of it. When you walk through the door, it's like coming home. The smell of cinnomon and spice smacks you in the face as there is usually some sort of Southern Gospel music playing from the Bill Gaither display. Shopping around before eating is always fun...and then shopping afterwards is fun too! I'm an early riser and love coming here for breakfast on occasion. A few weeks ago, several of us came for dinner before attending a revival meeting and were hugely impressed! John Lindsey, one of the servers did an incredible job and made our dinner very enjoyable. He's funny, caring, and is good at his job. Ask for his section!

The concept is starting to get a little old for me. The shop has become so cluttered and packed that you cannot walk. The hostess was very rude and I would rather seat myself. The food was as good as usual, but again the only thing that has changed on the menu in 10 years was the prices. I'll be back, some day I'll figure out how they make such great pancakes, but I'm not in a hurry.

Love it. We always have to stop in one at least once on every vacation we take. Good home cooked food served fast and with a smile. Unfortunately not on vacation today but after a late night and a gig nothing beats someone else making breakfast, even if it takes an hour to get it. Hskf an hour drive to get there and half hour wait to be seated. Today I got the Sunday special 2 chicken breast with hashbrown casserole and the vegetable of the day...cabbage. My man got the sunrise sampler. Two eggs, grits, biscuits, sawmill gravy, hashbrown casserole, bacon, ham and sausage. Even better as this meal was free. I belong to the club and for filling out a survey I got a coupon for free meals for two.

Maybe a step up from dog food, maybe. Service was ok. Coffee was definitely the best part.

The food I love but sometimes the carry-out services is SLOW AF sorry but it makes no sense when ppl come in get seated eat and leave and I'm still waiting on my food that I CALLED in 20 minutes earlier maybe even more depending on if I had to load up kids! Lol! All I'm saying is it would be great if food & service matched. Chicken and dumplings are good choice anything breakfast is too!

Super cute gift shop with super duper nice people tending it. We were seated right away in this down home restaurant with a Southern theme. Yep, those are real life working rocking chairs out front. I ordered the special fried pork chops and my lunch partner had some other generic white people food. The food doesn't taste bad since everything basically taste good deep dried in lard. However, we both got explosive diarrhea afterward.

Sure it's a chain, and they seem to be everywhere when you're driving cross country. I like the ambiance and the idea that they're trying to be a country store. You can get a bunch of "old time" toys and merchandise here. The food was alright, nothing great. I had the chicken and rice which was highly recommended, but it was nothing more than cut up chicken breast with a bunch of gravy. Since I was staying at the Hampton Inn near by, this was a decent option.

Yikes, people eat here AND like it?!!! I went only because I had agift card, and I ordered the spicy catfish and muy husband the country fried steak. "spicy" means covered in seasoning salt and therefor unedible, so I sent it back and asked it to be prepaired with less salt. they brought me a piece with nothing on it, therefore it tasted like nothing...only worse. I told them Im not hungry anymore and they took my meal of the bill. My husbands country fried steak was also nasty, he was so glad he asked for the gravy on the side, I do not know how people can eat that. It looked like gray jello, the hashbrown cassarole was also unedible, the mac n cheese just like kraft. Luckily the manager told us we wouldnt have to pay but I could not get a refund for the giftcard. So I spent it at the giftshop. I did pick up a chocolate pecan pie and the one star is for just that. The pie was fine, pretty good actually, but still a place I will NEVER return to!

"Home-style" quick cookin' in a retail store. It's a chain, let's be real. The restaurant is there to rake in the metaphorical dough. But, the food wasn't horrible and the carrots were my favorite - loaded with butter and sugar just the way I like 'em. Service was on point and just as peachy as can be, and I just love the rocking chairs outside of every store (mmmhmmm, it's all about the dough people! Note the emphasis on "store.") Quite possibly my favorite part though was the amazing dessert menu (of only 3 items) that were each under $3 and big enough to satisfy the whole table. Give me oversized dessert for $3 everyday, please!

Cracker Barrel is our go to choice on road trips; we can't go more than 4 hours from home without eating at least one meal at a Cracker Barrel. We had lunch at this location on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. It was packed, but we still got a table for 4 in less than 45 minutes...that's a pretty normal wait after church in the area. Our waitress was efficient and friendly, and, as always, the food was fantastic. If you like your food like grandma used to make it, this is your place. The biscuits are always good. I normally get the chicken finger platter with 2 sides & biscuits. It's always more than enough food for dinner plus a small lunch the next day. My husband always gets the CB sampler and has never had a bad plate. Friendly service...good, hearty food...can't go wrong! As much as I prefer to support non-chain restaurants, I really can't say I've ever had a problem at a CB. And save room for dessert!

Third time disappointed in the management idea of organization here. Worst CB we have been to - anywhere - ever. Food is great as always. Servers were very nice. Problem - management. We were sat in a back corner when there were plenty of open tables throughout the restaurant. 3 servers came to tell us they were our server and took our drink order. The server who "won" our table took our order. Our hot food came out quickly. Downside - our salads didn't arrive until halfway through our meal and only after we asked why they didn't come earlier. Then our server explained that he had several tables throughout the restaurant (as did the other 7 or 8 servers) so it was hard to keep tabs on everyone. No manager ever made presence known at all. This is the third time for this kind of problem here, so we're not going to return. The only reason for 2 stars is the servers were nice.
