Seated directly on a Sunday at 1:00pm Service was very good, Erica is a great waitress! Tuscan grilled chicken Erma's size is my wife's new favorite. I had my old standby with the cheeseburger deal. We enjoy the staff and atmosphere. Recommended.

Been here many times every time it gets worse. Max & Ermas is a great franchise but this location is absolutely the worst. I wish I had the patience to write down all of the horrible encounters here but I feel it's a waste of my time. Their employees are nasty and need to get an attitude check.

I truly enjoy this Columbus based restaurant chain. I'm proud to bring out of town guests here as well as Bob Evans. This is an American fare menu by definition. The Garbage burger is their signature item. All burgers come in 6oz Erma size, or 10oz Max size. Over the years they have added the patty options, turkey and black bean vegetarian. All these are served with seasoned fries. They will however make substitutions with no hassle. Like many establishments that serve a lot of fries, I have received some on occasion with old fries. Beef and chicken are their staples. Dinners, sandwiches, salads & desserts. They have a rotating seasonal menu that may feature more seafood, fajita/stir fry, lighter diet, & comfort items. Dessert used to be a highlight for the artistic clawfoot iron bathtub sundae bar. I think the parents enjoy it as mush as the kids. The newest push is for the dessert cookies. You could be asked if you would like these, while ordering your entree. They bake the cookies to order, so it takes a few minutes. Hot cookies are great. There is a full service bar that serves the entire menu. Beware the blender noise of all those specialty frozen drinks. This includes lemonades, and kids drinks. Not the place to go for your sports fix. The policy is TV muted on closed caption with music playing. If you want the fifth star back, the fine touches need to return. Open the front door and greet/thank us. Put down the cell phones. Quit congregating at the hostess stand to talk about your personal lives, or your guests. Management needs to visit the tables again. Prepare EVERY meal like it's being served to someone from the corporate office.

The food was good but the service was abysmal. My 2 stars are averaged as 4 for food taste but 0 for service. Drinks came but no cream for the coffee. By the time the creams came, the coffee was no longer hot. The next table over, we overheard complaining to a manager that the server took a drink order then disappeared. Requests for condiments (mayo for a burger - not an unexpected or unreasonable request) took forever. Even our bill was wrong. Multiple issues here with how the team operates. I hope it improves.

Here's is a list of some of the issues we had over the years at this location. We no longer go to any Max and Ermas. * Pink chicken on a salad. * Waited 30 minutes once seated (with beverages from the bar) and no one came by. * Chocolate cake had grown mold. * Consistently cold fries. * Servers regularly took forever to get refills, etc. * Food wrong multiple times on take out orders. Your money is probably better spent ordering a pizza.

My advice DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION !!!!!!!!!!!!!! The place was FILTHY food all over the floors tables were sticky and it just felt like I should clean up my table before I sat down with my wife. Next thing it took 25 mins. to get a bottle of bud light and a coke , Our waitress was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO slow . So we waited to order and it took another 30 mins for our dinner to arrive no big deal there . But when the food came , I ordered the Laredo steak with baked potato and steamed broccoli . with had the chicken quesadia , Okay so now the arrives my steak with cold the broccoli was cold and the baked potato was barely warm . the wife's chicken qeusadia. it was cold and 2 of the flour tortillas had 2 small cubes of chicken and nothing else . When I asked to see the manager she was like okay I will reheat this meal for you WHY WOULD I WANTED A REHEATED MEAL ????? My advice get someone in there to clean house get some people in there that have some pride in working for your restaurant. If I could give minus stars I would go for a minus 3.5 . I will NEVER step into another Max and Erma's !!!!!!

Wish we could give half stars! Had lunch here today. Very good service from our waiter, Noe.. Just way too soft spoken for the background noise. But he deserves 4 stars on his own. The 2 year old and his mother that were with me seemed okay with their order. She's vegan, so it's kind hard to find acceptable restaurants anymore. Their black bean "burger" seemed to be fine with her. I have always loved their "French Onion Soup" and usually just get a bowl early and a second later; that is one delivered and the second order placed at that time. Well, since the Clarmont closed, M&E has been the best onion soup I have found until now. They've obviously changed their recipe since the last time I was in. It was served hot, but not the blistering hot it should be and the onions seemed barely done. One thing I have always loved about onion soup was the saltiness. Apparently some health nut got ahold of the recipe and dropped the salt/sodium levels drastically! Now understand that I do agree we all consume too much sodium, but some things are just supposed to be salty! Onion soup is one of them. The broth/stock also seemed very weak. Back to the drawing board.

I love you Max & Erma's. I hope it was just an off-night because of the holidays. That was the most lackluster meal I have ever paid for. Actually, my grandma paid. Still, I wish we could get her money back.

We've been here twice and both times we had amazing service! I wish I remembered the name of our servers but unfortunately I don't. The food was good. We had tortilla burger combos the first time and then a St. Patricks Day special burger which came with corned beef, swiss, sauerkraut and thousand island dressing. The fries had cheese and bacon on them and were endless also. We tried the asparagus appetizer and I would skip that next time. It really wasn't worth the money. The tortilla soup is seriously to die for! It tastes like they use a canned cheese soup of some type blended in there but it still is seriously addicting. We did have an issue with my husbands burger not being cooked all of the way, he ordered it medium and it came out rare, but the waiter took care of it immediately and ended up taking it off of our bill as well. All in all this is a great option when you're just looking for a quick burger or something other than fast food that's still priced reasonably.

Frequent m&e s ALOT at this location. If we get Noe, everything is perfect. Sp he gets 5 stars Unfortunately, we had a trainee tonight. She was good, and I give her credit, but the soup was forgotten till I reminded her after our meals came out, drinks sat empty for a while, and then when I did get my soup it was Luke warm:-( but since we didn't see her for a while, I didn't say anything and just ate the soup. I still live the food, atmosphere, and Noe! So will go back when we need a quick bite. But if noe leaves... I may not:-(

I came here for lunch the other day when we had less than an hour. The service was quick and efficient. I ordered Chili which seemed to disappoint my waitress who thought I should order something else but the Chili was good. It was a hearty Chili with plenty of meat and was worth the $5 I spent. The best part of the meal was the two free Chocolate Chip Cookies because it was a Wednesday which we didn't even know until after we ordered. I give it three stars because it isn't great but not bad either. Generally I have had good experience with Max & Ermas and this place didn't change my view. Our food was hot and the place seemed to be clean. I know the local school utilizes this place for fundraisers so they are involved in the community which is pretty cool or a corporate Restaurant chain.

i've been to M&E's a number of times. I went here this evening with my bride. i ordered their special 3 course cheeseburger meal. I choose side house salad, medium rare cheeseburger pepper jack on a pretzel bun, and chocolate chip cookie for dessert. The salad came out before anything for my bride. I began on it thinking her soup would be right out (it wasn't). The salad was ok, but nothing special enough to return for. Next came the cheeseburger and "seasoned fries". The size of the burger was large. The bun was not the pretzel bun I requested. The cheese on the burger was so small it could not be tasted. The only other thing on the burger was a TINY piece of lettuce and a TINY piece of tomato- neither of which could I taste. The burger itself was cooked as ordered. However, it had no flavor at all. And the fries were not seasoned with anything. No condiments, for either fries or burger, were available. The server was gone so long that I gave up and started eating the burger. It was disappointing. After I finished, she stopped by and asked how it was - I didn't say anything ... it was gone so it wasn't like they could do anything about the issues. She left to get my cookie, and came back with something that wasn't a chocolate chip cookie. I asked her if it was chocolate chip - thought perhaps they had a unique recipe. she said she had misunderstood. She went back and brought a second cookie out. I was underwhelmed and would not go back again soon.

I was on a business trip and looking for a place to eat after a good meeting with a client. Mid-Ohio is not exactly know as a culinary hot spot. Luckily some of the strip malls on the main drag had recently added some new chain restaurants. We spotted a Max & Erma's and made a bee line. We were seated immediately and took in the well designed, clean decor. Our waiter greeted us quickly and took our order. Shortly after the drinks arrived a unpleasant odo began wafting through the air. It seemed as if one of our neighbors had decided to pass gas. My dining companion remarked that it was particularly foul. Soon noses through out the establishment were crinkling on the patrons and the wait staff. It only seemed to get stronger as time went on. When our food arrived the waiter explained that someone had opened a drain in the restaurant and the ungodly stench was emanating from the open drain. He offered a weak apology and left the table. Well, the odor soon dissipated and we got on with our meal. I assume this is not a typical experience. My food was very good by the way. It would have gotten 4 stars were it not for the way they handled the odor.

I came here on the 4th of July so it wasn't very busy. It was like most other Max an Ermas decor-wise ect. Our hostess and server were good at what they do and seemed not stressed out or irritated which I like. We only had cheese skewers and a bowl of soup each but the soups were passable( my chili was a little greasy and her tortilla soup seemed a bit on the salty side for me but she liked it) Our server was very attentive as well as the manager who checked in with me to make sure I had been helped

Went to this Max & Erma's tonight with my Dad and 18 year old Grand Daughter. We all got burgers. Tortilla soup was great. Skewered garlic parmesan cheese bites were served with a ranch sauce and marinara sauce, delicious. Chili great. Fries blah. Coffee delicious and fresh. One of the medium rare burgers was raw except for 1/16th of meat on each side..they replaced with new burger and she loved it. Mark was our server. Very good service. $45.00 for 3 burgers, 3 fries, 3 soups and 9 cookies. 2 coffees and one raspberry tea? Appetizer cheese bites, 12 of them. Good.
