I now know why people have voted this place the 2nd best steak place in N.E. Ohio. THE STEAK IS AWESOME!!! After being told, time and time again how wonderful this place is, hubby and I decide to head the warnings and we came when they first opened. You must come when they first open because by 4:30 they were developing a waiting line. Hubby and I were the youngest people in the joint at this time, but I'm not hear to socialize. i'm here for some good steak and got it! You first enter and there is a coat rack on the left and the hostess straight ahead. Older decor, but quaint. Quiet dining with a full bar on the right with a big screen TV. We were seated promptly and discovered that their lemonade is made fresh everyday and their salad dressings are made in house with the exception of their Vidalia Onion dressing. If you order steak, and I did, you get a side, a soup or salad, and fresh bread with butter. I ordered the 8 oz New York Strip with a baked potato and garden salad. LOVED IT ALL! The bread came out toasty warm with butter. The salad greens were fresh and crispy. Crisp, cool cucumber, spinach, lettuce with red onion rings, red pepper wedge and a pickled beet. I ordered the Raspberry Vinegarette with it and was NOT disappointed. My steak came out hot and as ordered MEDIUM!!!! Pink and bloody and it tasted brilliant. My potato was hot and mushy on the inside and served with butter and sour cream on the side. YUMMY!!! I could not even order dessert I was so full! I must go back for their Lemon Drop Cheesecake.

Wow - what a surprise find! I came for dinner last week with my Mom, brother and aunt and wasn't sure what to expect. The parents had been here several years ago, but don't tend to be very picky about their food. It's an old style steakhouse 10 feet off Route-14 with a old school feel inside. Nothing fancy, which is perfectly fine but I somewhat expected to have a limited selection of soft foods. First off the drinks at the bar are incredibly cheap! During our wait for the table, the four of us ordered seven drinks (wine and top shelf vodkas) and an appetizer (sauerkraut balls) and our bar bill was $35. That's $4 average per drink!!! For the good stuff. The food was also great. A very good selection on the menu from steaks, seafood, chicken, some Italian dishes, etc. Mom had lobster tail, which she loved. My aunt a fish sandwich which was too much to finish, but she liked it. The others had steaks and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meat and the steak was cooked perfectly.

My husband and I are visiting from RI and we stopped at this place and it was outstanding. The food, Service and atmosphere was great. Food was so flavorful and I would go back everytime I am in town. If you never tried the saurkraut balls for an app. you must try. Never had them before and they were great. The filet and rib eye that we both had were amazing. Prices are reasonable also. Kudo's to the owners. Love it.

This place is off the charts for steaks. We think it should be voted number one in NE Ohio. We have gone back at least a dozen times since our first visit. It's 43 miles from our house, but well worth the drive for us. We both ordered the ribeye med rare, and it is cooked perfect everytime. I also think they have the best spaghetti sauce anywhere.A little pricy, but you get your moneys worth. The service is outstanding, but you better get there early. We usually get there about 5 pm and it takes us around an hour to finish. When we leave there is usually a line waiting for a table. Don't be put off by looks of this place from the outside, inside it's all rustic wood and it smells great. You won't go wrong eating here.

Coming from San Diego I didn't expect such a great meal in Ravenna. Now I know why they're the #2 steakhouse in N.E. Ohio! Very big portion sizes too! Kim is a great waitress!!!

#1 Steakhouse in the area by far! Don't forget their amazing prime rib and seafood as well. Melt in your mouth ribeye, strip, and port house steaks cooked to perfection! Lobster tail, stuffed scampi to die for. Fast, friendly wait staff and bartenders that really take care of you! Don't pass by this gem of northeast Ohio dining. The decor is quaint but you will not have a better meal...hands down.

My wife and I stopped here yesterday after doing internet search for steak houses(we are not from the area)..got the early bird special, prices great,but that's where the compliments stop with us..waitress brought wrong dressing for wife's salad,no biggie-my wife said the ranch dress was fine,,waitress almost insisted on bringing blue cheese bits as an appeasement., which again was great..wife's steak not rare as she had ordered, but again no biggie..steak however was seasoned heavily and extremely salty(why ruin a good piece of meat)..but again we did not complain and were going to take the steak home to wash off the seasoning..the real complaint here is what happened when the bill came..we were charged for the blue cheese crumbles(paying for waitress mistake)..not a lot o money by any means but it's the principle..you don't offer to fix a problem then charge someone for it! Waitress brought hostess over to table and started arguing with us in front of crowded restaurant! unbelievable....THEN..after my wife went to the car and i was waiting for the corrected bill, the hostess started to complain about us to other employees and customers, right in front of me!!! said "they have never had anyone complain about their steak before(my wife when leaving simply told the hostess the steak was inedible)....We have never been treated like this ever at a restaurant...a restaurant trying to be upscale but so-so food, in our opinion...obviously won't go back...

Perfectly cooked ribeye steak. No sauce needed. Sweet potato slices with cinnamon butter were delicious. Great service from Elfie.

We checked out Arnie's since it has been ranked the #2 best steak house in the Akron area. I can tell you the rating is very well deserved. This place is the real deal when it comes to getting a great steak. I had their ribeye, a house specialty, and my husband had the prime rib. Both were excellent, prepared perfectly to order. We can't wait to go back and try a few more items! I highly recommend Arnie's. The rest of the menu and specials looked appealing, with a mix of seafood, chops, etc. Arnie's is a great local spot, they take reservations for parties of six or more, and they do get busy on the weekends. Worth the trip!

One of the few places to eat around the Ravenna/Rootstown area that isn't fast food! Arnie's doesn't offer a huge menu & what is available is difficult to see considering how incredibly dim the lighting is. Yet you can't go wrong with the kind hospitality of the staff and the cozy cabin-like environment. It is a great place for lunch or dinner & is family friendly. I ordered the deep fried cheddar cauliflower, it was perfectly crisp and tasted even better the next evening! My in-laws both enjoyed their meals- the portions are so large you can't eat it all in one sitting. And my husband devoured their famous steak! Our waitress was attentive & polite throughout the chaos (they were really busy that night) and managed to keep a smile on her face the entire time. Can't wait to go back & try some of their desserts!

Love this place for excellent food & service from super ladies. Pretty small so either come early or expect to wait. Great ambiance with low key oldies & dark wood panel walls. Popular.
