I love this place! The food is always delicious and fresh, and the staff is always friendly. I'll be sad when I graduate because I can't visit SoHi anymore! This is definitely an Oxford gem. Subs are around the price of a subway sub but they're heated on the grill and all the items are prepared fresh! The burgers are the best I've had in Oxford, too. I love SoHI!

Good greasy burger made the way you want it. College kid calories, but tougher for old guys to burn them off. Workers are super. Only drawback no beer! Otherwise well worth the visit.

The fries are the highlight of every meal here! But by no means are the subs and burgers even close to average.

First timer. Bought the Philly cheesesteak with their fries. All of it was amazing. Little pricey but worth it in my opinion. 4 starts only because their cook seemed unhappy that day, and they need more tv's! It's football season! The fries were amazing! Won't get a meal without them...

Sohi is a great spot to stop in uptown Oxford. Prices tend to be a bit high for the fare, but match what would be expected in a college town. The atmosphere catches you right away- unique interior, colorful, clean; very well done. Hard to believe it's not a chain. Unique menu items (always a special) and good quality. The only issue is the staff- at times they can be lethargic and slow. Come in at the right time and it's hard to complain about Sohi.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! The sandwiches are always grilled to perfection and however you want them! The seasoned fries compliment the burgers perfectly. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is pretty nice too. They even have sriracha for you to put on your burger!

I stopped in on Saturday night. It was my first time, i figured id stop in based off of reviews i had read. I ordered the Original burger with no real expectations. It only cost $5.49, then I waited in line to get my food. Side note, the girl behind the counter called out about 5 orders that no one claimed for a while but they were eventually claimed by some asshole asking what numbers they had called. I mean come on she yelled it like five times, but I digress. We got our burgers after about five minutes. We took them to go and we ate them in the car. Let me tell you. ORGASMIC! I mean honestly the best burger I've ever had and for only $5.49. The ingredients were so fresh. It was your typical burger with shredded lettuce, a tomato slice (maybe a little too thick), onions, ketchup, mustard, mayo, and the pieste resistance, a fried egg! The burger itself tasted incredibly fresh along with all of the vegetables. The fried egg was the perfect size and was just the right amount in terms of egg to burger ratio. The bun was a beautifully toasted and slightly buttered egg bun. All of the ingredienta came together masterfully. As my friend said, it was pretty much like the Best Burger in NYC episode from How I Met Your Mother. I will be back this week.

Bad service. I called them and a woman said wait a second, then they never pick up my phone again, and I was just waiting in the phone and listen to the noises.

Yum! If you're looking for delicious hot sandwiches while you're uptown in Oxford, skip the other places along High Street and head in to SoHi. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to go for lunch in town. There's a good amount of seating and typically some available, even during the normal lunch hour. Sandwiches here aren't the cheapest but that's ok, because they're definitely good and fresh and hot. Worth it, in other words. There's always a "special of the day" but there are plenty of good regular options, too. Everything can be made with chicken or steak (or vegetarian too, I suppose - don't know much about that one). I haven't tried a burger yet, but I hear they are incredible (and reading the other reviews only solidifies that sentiment). You definitely want to get fries with your sandwich, that for sure. They're thin and crispy and covered with cheese (simple parmesan shake cheese, I think, but it gets the job done and then some). Parking uptown is always tricky but it's worth a little extra walk to get to Sohi's!

Fantastic fresh sandwiches. The menu has a wide variety of choices to satisfy both herbivores and carnivores.

I think the best burger I've ever had has come from SoHi. They're always so juicy and full of flavor. The buffalo chicken sub is like my hangover cure, all I need to get through the next day is one of those and I'm all set.

I stopped in for the first time for a late lunch the other day and after ordering realized that I had forgotten to ask them not to put cheese on my sandwich. (I'm allergic to dairy) Turns out they put butter on their buns and Parmesan cheese on their fries too. The kids behind the counter (I'm 60 years old, so yes...I can call them kids) were great about it! They asked what kind of meat I like and what vegetables and if they could make me something special. They made a very nice chicken sandwich with lots of grilled vegetables and fries seasoned without the parmesan. I'm sure they couldn't have given me that kind of attention if it had been a busy day (Oxford is CRAZY busy when students are in town) but I really appreciated the kindness! I'm a fan!

Stopped by here based on reviews and the number of people eating here at the time compare to other restaurants. Picked up the special, summer herb chicken sandwich before heading to West Virginia. It was very good but the wait for the sandwich was over 15 minutes long. I suppose it was worth the wait but I'd really rather not wait that long.

Best burgers I've had. Bournsin is particularly good. Classic rock music to classic, rockin meals

SoHi? more like So HIGH.... The workers at this establishment were obviously under the influence of Marijuana cigarettes. How do I know this information? well one of the cashiers told me that thy were partaking in cannabis related activity. The food itself was above average. The fries are very nice. I also like the atmosphere .. only if I did not believe that they were not smoking marijuana weed cigars!.. Would come back; good food - 5 out of 5.

I loved going to SoHi. My favorite sub was the 7 inch steak and eggs, so good! Also they're fries are delicious, definitely my guilty pleasure. Also their burgers are great because you can customize them however you want, I would recommend trying it with a fried egg. Sounds weird but tastes great.

Great burgers and they are reasonably cheap. The staff is amazingly capable for a place named SoHi.

I absolutely love this place. Any time I am going to eat uptown, this is my first choice. My favorite sandwich is the Korean Teriyaki with chicken. They put this Korean slaw on it which is like nothing you have ever tasted before. It is delicious! And the prices here are the best part! I get a 7 inch and its always under $6. You can't beat that when you're a broke college student. This place definitely caters to the college crowd. Although, you have to in Oxford. The atmosphere is great too, it is different. Oxford tends to be very preppy but this place almost has a bohemian feel to it. Which is nice when all the places surrounding it are straight out of a classic college town, not that I have anything wrong with that, I love Oxford. :)

Yummy yummy food. The burgers are the BEST in town! The only down side is the wait...be prepared- this is not fast food.

Their philly cheese steak is always great. The design of the place is cool. Only problem I've had is the length of time to get the sandwich sometimes.

SoHi Grilled Sandwiches is a non-chain whose sole location on East High St. in Uptown Oxford looks the most "upscale" from the sidewalk. However, a walk inside will reveal that it's not even close to upscale - perhaps bohemian would be a better word, if that would suffice. The interior has the most intricate design out of any restaurant in town, with columns surrounded in orange-ish plastic. Also of note, the walls surrounding the hallway to the restroom are covered with chalkboards. Oxford is a college town, so you could just imagine how creative college students must be. The food, thankfully, was created with the same care and thoughtfulness that the interior was designed with. When it comes down to it, this place sells burgers, hot dogs, fries and subs. However, if you look at HOW these dishes are prepared, your mind will get blown away. For instance, I'll describe the "Sandwich of the Month", the Dogtober. The Dogtober was a hot dog covered with sauerkraut and something else that evades my memory, coming in a pretzel-roll bun. In Oxford, it doesn't get more creative and selective than that (unless you count a drunk student dipping a sandwich in Jager as "creative and selective"). They have a variety of burgers and subs in addition to that, and they'll even let you create your own sub for the regular sub prices - for the record, a 7" sub is $5.49 while a 12" sub is $7.99. With how unique the food was and how "hip" the atmosphere seemed to be, I'm shocked this place hasn't expanded into more locations by now.

This is one of the best things to come to Oxford. Even though it's just a sub and burger shop, it is quality food. The owners use fresh ingredients, are socially-conscious about their environmental impacts, and really know how to use social networking to help their college-aged demographic get the most bang for their buck. If you just sign up for their emails you get free fries or drinks almost weekly. They have weekly sandwiches that are always yummy but my go-to is always the buffalo chicken. The fries are delicious with some amazing seasoning.
