Not bad...a tradition kind of a place. Greasy cheeseburgers and that kind of stuff. You can eat in your car or at the few picnic tables out front. We go maybe a few times every summer...

This place is a Middletown landmark, my mom used to go there when she was younger, and the food is greasy and hot. I am a huge fan of locally owned places, so I always try and hit this place up. Opens back up in April, and I'll be there for my burger.

The Jug is a cool spot to eat at in the summer. The prices are a bit much though. They are like the prices of Five Guys. The last visit there was opening day for the season (April 11) . The service then was Awful. It's not like they were over loaded with customers either. We sat on the inside and they acted like it was hard work to get us a refill of their delicious root beer! The food is really good though. The parties are a bit small for the price you pay for them. Hopefully that experience was just the "first day back" jitters and their service will improve!

went back this yr...today...omg...food higher priced than last yr and not that great. maybe too early for them to start making good burgers, but at this price, they can keep them....sorry Jug! lower your prices please!!!!!!!!

The closest thing I find to a real bar style burger anymore. Soft steamed buns, perfectly melted cheese. Yum!! Get a double, you'll thank yourself.

I see it has been a while since someone has reviewed this restaurant. The Jug is an institution in Middletown. It went through some rough times over the past few years with the old owner. Now under new ownership it ha been taken back to its original glory. This is the good old fashioned root beer stand it always has been and always should be. Way to go new owner. My only gripe is the French fries. Not a big deal...I always just get the double cheese burgers anyway.
