For someone who can't eat Gluten I rarely go to Delis anymore. I was pleasantly surprised when the staff was able to make me a GodFather sandwhich with Gluten Free bread! It was delicious! This place is beautifully designed inside. When you come in you feel like you stepped into your Great Aunt's house after running across the field and she offers to make you a sandwich! If you're visiting Mansfield this is definitely one of the gems to visit.

Terrific, eclectic atmosphere with perfect sized servings for lunch. The Roasted Red Pepper and Smoked Gouda soup was outstanding, and the customizable side salad was excellent. Don't let the size of this restaurant fool you, there's a good sized menu available from a incredibly friendly staff. This place is like the Tardis: it's like a bigger restaurant on the inside!

Make your own sandwich or pick from their menu, whatever your do with taste great. It's right across the street from Med Central in a little brick building. Not a lot of seating, but the tables and chairs are so cute! The chairs tuck into the corners of the table, go see it if I'm not making sense. :) Their soups are good too! I like the lobster bisque.

This was our last stop during a 2 week vacation. It was nice nice place to have our final meal (lunch) for our trip. Doc's is located near Triumph Hospital in Mansfield, hence the name. There were many sandwich specialties or you could make your own. We did not have soup but there were interesting choices: Roasted Red Pepper with Smoked Gouda & Yukon Gold Potato with Bacon & Cheddar. Our sandwiches were excellent. The staff was very friendly and the deli was clean.

Doc's has the best ingrediants and such an awesome variety of items to pick from to make the perfect sandwich or salad. They also have a nice selection of soups each day. Their staff is always friendly and make recommendations if you do not know what you are in the mood for. They also can keep track of your own personalized sandwich so you can always get one of your own creations. We are so lucky to have them in town.

A coworker and I meet once a month at a location between Columbus and Cleveland. This month took us to Doc's Deli. What a GREAT place. I had the Grilled Corned Beef and he had he had the Boba Fett. Mine was very good, moist and hot. His was so good he ordered a second one. I opted to go back for the Roasted Red Pepper soup and some of the Broccoli Salad. My only regret was I had the small Broccoli Salad instead of the larger one. The only problem was trying to find a parking spot since it is in a residential neighborhood. I understand the hospital (which is across the street and thus the name) is building a parking garage so this should be eliminated. But the extra time to find a place to park is well worth it. I know we will be back. Reasonably priced and oh so good.

We were just passing through the area and decided to stop here for lunch as it appeared to be the highest rated place in Mansfield to eat on Yelp. I got the half sandwich & soup combo. The 'unlikely Tuscan' sandwich paired perfectly with their roasted red pepper soup. IT WAS DELICIOUS. My boyfriend got the Dr.Phil sandwich & potato bacon & cheddar soup combo. He Especially liked the apricot sixty mustard sauce on the sandwich. The only downfall is that we don't have this deli in Charlotte, NC :)

Very friendly owner and staff. TONS of delicious food choices. We stopped by this wonderful spot for lunch on our way down 71-south.

This place was great. Lots of sandwich and side options. I did the pick two and got the roasted red pepper and smoked Gouda soup which was amazing and the one of the turkey sandwiches on a bread roll. Service was great! The only thing I didn't care for was the chip selection for the pick two. There were only three choices and none if which I was really a fan.

The Sir Paul sandwich on pretzel bread with hard boiled egg and pecans was very good. I wish this little deli was closer, but I'm going to try to stop in and try some other sandwich options when I'm near Mansfield.

Docs is always fresh and delicious with their menu items. I've been going there since they opened and they're just as good as they were on day 1. Susan does an awesome job running the place as customer service is exceptional! Definitely recommend Docs to anyone looking for delicious deli foods!!

Best deli food around! I find myself craving for their food. I particularly like the Italian pretzel and unlikely Tuscan. I also love that you can create your own sandwich exactly the way you want it. Plus the staff is great!

Went for a quick lunch and have my parents meet me girlfriends parents for the first time. Have to say was the best deli place I have been too in a while. I had the corn beef with pretzels bun and omg how good was that.... going to return

Doc's is one of the best little restaurants in Mansfield. I think it's one if those hidden gems. We never have to wait long to order and the food is great! If you get a chance try them out. You won't regret it.

First time having lunch in Mansfield and it being a cold day, I wanted a nice, local place to grab a sandwich and soup. The cashier was very friendly and happy to see us. The atmosphere is very casual but still slight modern with interesting and fun chairs that push all the way into the rounded square wooden tables. I ordered the Unlikely Tuscan sandwich, a turkey panini. It wasn't as hot as I would have liked. I think if the sandwich had been pressed for a bit longer it would have turned out better. It was still nice, and made to order, as are all of their sandwiches. The sandwiches come on many different kinds of bread, including Focaccia, rye, pretzel, flat, croissant, etc. I also ordered the roasted red pepper bisque, and it was the highlight of the meal. Savory and hot, again perfect for the chilly day, and exactly what I wanted. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great lunch lunch.

If you are ever in Mansfield, Ohio - please don't pass up the opportunity to visit this amazing establishment! The atmosphere at Doc's deli is simply perfect: homey and clever! They have these awesome looking space-saving tables, a free water dispenser thats totally chill, and not only are the walls painted in those soothing hospital neutral colors, but the staff is dressed in scrubs! Since the restaurant is located just across the street from the hospital- I spent a good deal of time wondering whether or not there was an actual connection between the two! (Apparently i really bought their hospital theme!!! hahahaha) The first thing you do when you get into Doc's Deli is get a Sandwich form to fill out... because the totally amazing thing about Doc's is that you can create and name your own sandwich or salad which they then permanently add to their database !!!! (watch out for my sandwich: the mean MR mustard!!) They have an EXTENSIVE choice of ingredients that includes a large list of amazing sauces and dressings in addition to all the great veggies, fruits, cheeses, breads, and meat selection. And if you're feeling less inspired, don't worry- Doc also knows all the recipes for traditional sandwiches! (Beware: although $5.79 for a custom-made sandwich sounds pretty good to me, its damn easy to go well above that price as you continue to add yummy extras to your sandwich!) They also offer a small value menu, a new breakfast menu, assorted desserts, great soup options (my favorite was the Roasted Red Pepper Gouda Bisque!), and a prepared list of recommended salads and sandwiches. They are always mixing this list up and adding to it new sandwiches that were created by their costumers - so next time you visit the deli you might just see your sandwich advertised on the wall! Although the service was a bit slow, it made up for that in the amount of care, energy and attention which were put into making my sandwich just the way I had painstakingly described on my form. Not to mention, the service was extremely friendly!!! And watch out for that ambulance siren... if you hear it while you're paying for your order at the register then you get a discount!!! woohoo! I will definitely come back here next time I'm in Ohio!

Great place for lunch. Soups are good and the pretzel bread is good. The staff always treats you with respect and thanks you for supporting them. Got love locally owned and run places.

Love this place! I would eat here every week if this deli was in my home town. And if good food wasn't enough, the friendly service was even better, if you're tired of the same old same old definitely eat here.

Great concept. Great ingredients. Their soups are amazing, but stick to the Pretzel or Bagel breads for the sandwiches. I've always had fresh, great tasting meals here. You literally have THOUSANDS of combinations to choose from.

This is the best sandwich place in the world!! They have the best ingredients and the most incredible variety that it's simply impossible to be disappointed. And when you've decided which amazing toppings to put on your sandwich, you personalize it by giving it a name, and your sandwich (and all of its details) goes into the Doc's Deli database where it is immortalized forever. This way you, or anyone else, can return to Doc's and receive the exact same sandwich you created. Remarkable. If you like blue cheese awesomeness I dare you to order the Apollonia: a turkey sandwich that will blow your mind. Definitely can't wait for the next trip to Mansfield when I can get me some Doc's Deli goodness.

We were driving through Ohio and thought we'd just stop for a visit. I had the Boba Fett sandwich and the Roasted Red Pepper with Smoked Gouda. The Roasted Red Pepper soup was out of this world! The Sandwich was just as phenomenal and was presented on pretzel bread which has quickly become my favorite bread for a sandwich. The Far L.E.F.T. sandwich was an alright choice. I highly recommend ordering the pick 2 combo where you pick a sandwich and a soup for about $6. You can also make your own sandwich. Whatever you choose, Doc's Soup Herb hole-in-the-wall dive, is a trendy choice for a superb meal!

Heard a lot of good things, got some good reviews on yelp so I decided to check Doc's Deli out as well. It's an intimate setting, not a big place but they do have outdoor seating in the back. The employees are extremely nice and helpful, since it was our first time here they gave us a run down on some of the best choices. I got the "Keep It Comin" with the broccolli salad. Both were great choices and filling. The only issue we had was the pricing didn't really match up with the amount of food we expected. A bit over priced in our opinion but the quality of the food was high as well. So if you don't mind paying a bit more and need something quick, this is a great lunch spot.

This place was one the best places I've ever eaten lunch at. The women working were so nice. I ordered the pick two potato cheddar soup with a sandwich on pretzel bread Which was absolutely delicious. I also had their made in house tea which was great. I really wish I would have tried a dessert because they looked yummy also. The next time I'm near Mansfield I will definitely be stopping by for another delicious lunch :)

Mansfield, Ohio?? Really? We stopped by docs soup herb and deli (aka superb!) based on the number of reviews. We had just visited the Lego exhibit in Mansfield and were starving. Walking in, the restaurant surprised me. I was expecting to see an old quaint diner, but what I found was a cool hip doiner, complete with cool metal ceiling fans, space efficient furniture, and electronic music overhead. What...? I exclaimed. Ordered the roasted red pepper and smoked gouda soup. The soup is amazing!!' Oh wow, so satisfying. The sandwich was pretty solid too. I especially liked the lady behind the counter. Super friendly.. It felt homey. Try out this superb deli, for sure.

I really, really wanted to like this place. But the reality is is that I'm very underwhelmed by it. Not only is there nothing but street parking (surprisingly crowded, residential street parking...) but everything here seems to come packaged. What I mean by that is that Doc's doesn't seem to make anything themselves. All the meat is prepackaged and when I was there I watched three sandwiches being made and the meat didn't look particularly good. Not rotten or anything, just, blah. I ordered a fancy-ish grilled cheese and asked for them to use only non-processed cheese (ie: no Kraft singles type products) because they make me sick. The lady behind the counter assured me that the cheese wasn't processed and so I ordered it. Twenty minutes later I was sick to my stomach--which is my typical reaction to that stuff. Very disappointing. Lastly, when I was there, even though there were only three customers in the place the seating area was filthy. Bread, veggies, crumbs all over the floors, chairs and tables. Chairs pulled out and at weird angles, and a mess on all the outer counters. I don't know if that's normal, or I got there just after a rush, but it was really an unpleasant place to be at that particular moment. I've given it two stars instead of one because the counter lady was nice and I'm willing to say that I could have been there on an 'off day'.

An amazing little deli in the middle of Mansfield! They have a build your own salad with tons of choices for toppings, very good sandwiches and great (and a decent variety of) desserts! The ladies behind the counter make you feel right at home too. So it's a nice small place to enjoy good food and service with a smile!

This place was found because of you fellow Yelpers. Thank you! All 5 of us loved our food. It tasted fresh. And the ladies working were nice. Seating was very limited inside so we went to the outdoor seating. Really cute outdoors. The roasted red pepper soup was to die for. Everyone agreed we should have had an extra sandwich for later.

Tasty soup. Excellent specialty sandwiches. Great choices of bread, meat, cheese, and other extras to create your own masterpiece. Not cheap but worth the price. Try it out!

I love sandwiches and I can never find a decent place around here to have one until I ran into Doc's. They are amazing and the lady that runs the place is so sweet. I am definitely going back for the food and the service!

Yum! This was a wonderful find! The Unlikely Tuscan Turkey was terrific. So glad to have found this on yelp! Sue, the owner, was friendly and steered us to great menu items. The whole family had a delicious lunch!

Delicious, satisfying, and charming, this place is worth stopping for. We were just passing through on our way to Kingwood and needed a quick bite. It is rare to find such a good place in such a small town. Everyone in our three-generation party, with varied tastes, was well satisfied. The soup, smoked Gouda and roasted red pepper, was amazing. We tried six different kinds of sandwiches and all were delicious. "The far left" is a great vegetarian option, although the nice folks behind the counter are willing to make picky eaters (like my kids) and vegetarians other things.

What a great find! I can't recommend Doc's enough, and I never thought such a cool little spot would be in Mansfield. The Food - Everything was delicious! The roasted red pepper bisque is killer, as well as the bacon cheddar potato soup. The signature sandwiches we tried - the Boba Fett and the Ancho Ranchero - were very tasty, and the personalized sandwiches we ordered were stuffed with fresh ingredients. The Value - You get better quality, more variety, and fresher ingredients for the same price as a Subway sandwich. And, you get much better service as a bonus. The Staff - Susan and her staff couldn't have been friendlier or more accommodating. Everyone at Doc's understands what it means to provide excellent customer service, and they make your time there enjoyable. The Location - Parking leaves a little to be desired, but it looks like they probably get quite a bit of walk-in traffic. The building looks like it used to be the neighborhood grocer, and inside the deli itself has a clean, hip look. The interior is comfortable and bright, and out back they have a few open-air tables. Thanks, Susan! We'll be back the next time we're in Mansfield - which will be soon! :-)
