So this place at least gets 4 stars from me because you can throw your peanut shells on the floor or even at other people if you are so inclined. I always get the portobello mushroom sandwich, and I have to say it is the best I've had by far. The beer selection is subpar, and you can get mixed drinks if that is your thing. The portions are big, so pace yourself or you'll have an evening with your pants having to be unbuttoned.

Great place to eat. Portions are large and food is good. The sweet potatoes are large! We are locals that enjoy going to this place!

Great place to eat if you visit the Mid-Ohio track. Great steaks and salads, reasonable prices. Like an Outback - but with good food. We've been eating here for 10+ years, always good.

Arrived last evening at 8:30 after my son's high school graduation. Had a large party of eight and were prepared to wait an hour, but were immediately seated. Had not been to this establishment in a couple of years and was very impressed with the interior. We chose Brown Derby Road House because we believed it would have a fun atmosphere to cap off a special evening and it did meet our expectation in this respect; the atmosphere and interior decor proved to be the ONLY high point of the experience. The service was below average. We told our waitress that our son - who was obviously sitting right there at the table with us - had just graduated from high school, and she did not acknowledge this accomplishment at all. Nothing. Crickets. She could care less, and it definitely showed. She also did not bring us rolls and after about fifteen minutes I asked if we could have some which she promptly grabbed from a counter about five feet behind us. About five minutes later we had to ask for plates for said rolls... sigh. She was not personable at all, did not check on us, and did not ask how our food was which leads me to the next paragraph. The food? Sad. Think about this: eight people order appetizers, and also order eight different dishes. These eight people were also very hungry and you know how everything tastes better when you are starved. How many people do you think commented, at any point in their meals, wow this is great? Zero. That's right; appetizers, sides, main course items and no one made mention of their food being really good. We started eating and their was silence. Everyone's food was mediocre, or just down right sucked and no one wanted to vocalize it due to potentially dampening the night. I finally said, "this is the worst piece of grilled chicken I've had in my life" (lemon pepper my A#!). Most in our party had the same sentiments about at least one item that sat in front of them. I would say that we ate about 50% of the $127 worth of food on the table. Not good. Everyone did seem to somewhat enjoy the salad, so if you are going for salad and rolls (if you can get them) you may be ok. It was really unfortunate that our night ended like this, and was embarrassing for me as I was entertaining some family from out of town. Will not return.

If you are looking for a good cut of meat cooked to perfection keep browsing. If you want a steak rare and a cook staff that complains about a customer not being satisfied with their cooking abilities this is your place. We ordered the steaks medium rare, I switch between rare and medium rare depending on the cut so I know the difference. They came out with a room temp red center and a rare consistency. We sent the under cooked steak back and requested this not be re-fired, a reputable steak house knows that you can't recook a steak and expect any quality. FYI, if you have an open kitchen, try not dramatically complain about the customers dissatisfaction. The second attempt went straight from the fire, to the plate, and then to the table. On first cut it was cooked perfectly. After two minutes, when the steak should have been resting, it went to well done. Every other aspect of the service was pedestrian, keeping my irritation level high and rating very low.

Went there with my kids tonight for Mother's Day. It took 10 mins. To be greeted and another 10 to get our drinks. I ordered sweet tea and it was horrible and by the time it got to our table it had NO ice. I ordered more ice and when I added ice I realized it was nasty tea! I then waited for literally 30mins before complaining about not getting bread and salad I attempted to be patient due to the fact it was Mother's Day. I asked another waitress to find our server to talk with him and she was able to locate him immediately because he was on the patio with the other servers!!! By the time we recieved bread and salad our meals were out. The steak was so bad! It was burnt and more than half of it was fat! I was so disappointed! My children's meals were ok. Although I was not happy thT it was breaded chicken! My oldest had a steak and complained that it was not good. I explained to the Server that I did not care for the steak and he said OH. I requested the check and left. I am very disappointed with this restaurant I grew up in the area and it was once a really good place to eat. With in the last 6 months I have been there 4-5 times and everytime I have left very unhappy with the food and the service.

I found myself in Ohio on a business trip. My coworkers, who have apparently frequented this restaurant on previous trips make arrangements to have about 40 of us here for dinner after a meeting. At first I thought I had gotten lost, but no it is just in a small town. I am not much of a steak eater and judging by the title I knew the menu would consist mostly of red meat. I had fish the night before so I decided on some tasty bbq chicken and a sweet potatoe which was giant. It was covered in this amazing sweet, cinnamon butter. The service was awesome and our food came out fast considering we had a large group. So if you ever find yourself out in Mansfield, OH check this place out.

Well, doesn't Brad just have an attitude issue. Assuming you don't run into him I definitely recommend making it out to the Brown Derby. Good food, great service... a little bit of haul from the "city" but if you up around Polaris not too bad.

Loved this place! Upon walking in I was thinking, "bummer, a Texas Roadhouse-esque place." I mean seriously it's like identical inside with the steaks in the case up front, peanuts in the table, and similar menus. Given this, the place really had to impress to get five stars. My hubby looked online and said the potatoes were supposed to be large. Okay, sure I guess. We both order: I got a steak and rib combo with potato, and the hubby got a large steak with potato. You get salad with all meals and it is a large bowl similar to Olive Garden, which I really enjoyed! Yummy! You also get rolls which were very fluffy and reminded me of the rolls you get at Ryan's buffet place (if you have those where you live). Main course, first thing I notice is the HUGE potato! Okay, I should have respected the hubby's comment earlier. Seriously, by the time I ate salad and that potato, I was already full. I'm a big eater too, no joke. The steaks were awesome! They really grill these puppies, it was like someone tossed them on a charcoal grill right outside and put them on our plates. They were fantastic! The temperatures were perfect: medium well for me and medium rare for the hubby. I ate maybe a third of my 7oz steak and had to tap out. The hubby ate the rest of that on top of his 16oz beast. My ribs were alright. I've had better. They weren't bad but just not fantastic. I'd stick to the steak and not get ribs next time. I will say you get a huge portion of ribs for the money. I ate about two rib bones worth and the hubby once again cleaned that up along with his now over 20oz of steak he just consumed (he's a beast, the waitress was impressed). Overall, I loved this place. The prices are crazy reasonable for the sheer quantity of food you get, not to mention the food was extremely good. We are already planning a return trip for my birthday. Ohh yeah, they do the standard steak house cowboy "yeah haw" thing for your birthday (I'll not be advertising my special day when I go back).

Saturday, 530 PM and glad we had reservations 'cause this place was really buzzin. Ordered T-bone med to med well. It was pretty spectacular. My husband had the pork chop and liked it very much. Stupendous hot rolls and great salad. Baked potato was HUGE. Onion rings appetizer...nah. Too greasy. Keaton was on the ball and is a great server. Out of there for 40 bucks. I'm happy.

We have been here three times since Valentines day and both of us have ordered the Outlaw steak dinner. Which is a bone in Sirloin. The steak, baked potatoes, salad, and rolls have always been top notch! The service is good and they get you seated pretty quickly when they have long lines. The drinks are reasonably priced as well. To me the best place for steak in town.
