One of Lancaster's Best..... If you can find it! Great food, great value! Fresh foods cooked when ordered and very family friendly. Last visit took the whole family and was great, place was packed yet still prompt service.

I had gotten a coupon from restaurant.com for here, so my friend and I went the other night. I swear I had been to this place before, but when it was down on Main St. Am I thinking of the same place? Anyway, it's a little out of the way but I liked that it's quiet and secluded. I'm fairly certain it's family-owned, and the inside looked like your hometown diner. We both had steaks; he had the most sour applesauce either of us have ever tasted and grilled mushrooms, which were very good. With my steak I had a shrimp skewer that was very good but I didn't dunk it in the butter because it tasted just like the butter I used to serve guests when I worked in a movie theatre. Gross. I also had a salad and a baked potato that were very good. We both loved our steaks; I think that was the best part about the experience. When it came to paying, they didn't seem to like the fact that we had a $25 coupon. Just because someone has a coupon doesn't mean they're not considering coming back another time to pay full price. That's a reason why I get coupons; to try out new places to see if it's worth coming back. I gladly enjoy paying full-price at a restaurant that I love and respect. I give it 3 stars because the service was just not there. I get it's a "hometown feel" kind of place, but the waitress was in sweatpants, sneakers, and a sweatshirt, and wasn't friendly enough to make me completely comfortable.
