Diabetics at Whataburger

Diabetics need to be a bit cautious while dining at Whataburger. Almost every burger is rich in sodium content and it is highly recommended to keep your burger cravings in control while dining at Whataburger. However, you can always satisfy your cravings for a burger by choosing Whataburger Jr. or other non-burger items from the menu.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for Diabetics:

A diabetic should resist from ordering any extra meat-based burger such as Double Meat Whataburger or Triple Meat Whataburger to limit the sodium intake and calories. Most burgers except the Whataburger Jr. are high in sodium and hence should be avoided.

If you are a diabetic, you should also avoid Honey BBQ Chicken Strip Sandwich and Whataburger Patty Melt at Whataburger. Chicken Fajita Taco is also off-limits for diabetics. You must also avoid Breakfast Platter and Pancake Platter from the menu. Pancakes and Cinnamon Roll from the breakfast menu are also off-limits for diabetics.

High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. I've been to this Burger King several times growing up, and they know how to let you down. The food is... well it's Burger King. Here though and on a good day the food is decent tasting (not world class) and good for fending off hunger. It takes a very long time to get your food. The staff will usually intentionally ignore you if they're busy, short staffed, and you go inside to order because they're more than likely focused on showing the franchise owners/corporate how quickly they move the drive-thru orders (lobby wait times are rarely paid attention to at fast food places, that's no secret if you've ever worked at a fast food joint.) Most of the times I've been inside the kitchen doesn't look very clean which concerns me how well they're paying attention to hygiene while handling my food. One time I saw a woman in their pajamas with her kid hanging out with the staff in the kitchen area. Instead of the staff taking my order and serving my food they were having a conversation with someone who I didn't want near my food and wasting my time by holding up the staff. I've boycotted this place since then. Why deride a fast food restaurant to this extent? It is after all fast food right? Well the price of the food is very high for the lackluster quality and the poor service you receive. It's literally a gamble if you're going to get properly prepared, half-way decent, food when you go to visit. Go to the other BK in town on Main St. if you want better service and food that's good (for Burger King's standards.)

Wow. I feel pretty ashamed of myself. Everyone knows Burger King has gone completely downhill over the years. You can see their desperation in their advertising. Unfortunately, I somehow get suckered into giving them another chance, and I'm always left feeling like an idiot. That is, because, recently, I saw a blind taste test of 4-5 different coffees online. Starbucks, Dunkin, McDonalds, and Burger King. All of the responses were fairly in line with my tastes regarding everyone but Burger King, which I had not tasted before. Everyone unanimously liked it and thought it was Dunkin. No one mistook Starbucks for anything but Starbucks, which is both good and bad. So, this morning, I thought, why not try it? I order my coffee with 3 creams on the side (not sure how big a medium was, and the clerk had no idea what it measured), and being hungry, ordered a sausage biscuit and some hashbrowns; two items that are difficult to screw up, even for McDonalds. As I checked my bag, I noticed there were no creamers. The clerk gleefully said "I put them all in your coffee!" That would be fine if I had not specifically requested as such, but since I wanted to taste the coffee prior to adding any cream or sugar, this kinda screwed that up. The drink ended up tasting like coffee flavored half-n-half. There goes my taste test. Next, I try the hashbrowns. They were golden brown and crispy, but did not taste like potatoes. I can't put my finger on what made them taste so strange. It was like they were seasoned with Sweet N Low, minus the sweetness. It was a chemical-y taste. Pretty god-awful flavor on something that, again, should be hard to mess up. No amount of ketchup could mask it, either. I ate a couple, hoping it was only one or two, but that not being the case, I tossed them in the trash. Lastly, I unwrap my sausage biscuit. Seems like a nice biscuit, decent size, fluffy inside, slight crust on the outside. Lift the top and notice the sausage patty has seared markings on it, as if it was...FLAME BROILEDâ„¢. Come on, Burger King, what the hell are you doing? People order sausage and expect it to taste like sausage, not a patented flavored Burger King hamburger. I took a few bites of this and threw it in the garbage since I already know, whatever they treat their food with to make it taste Flame Broiledâ„¢ gives me the worst indigestion. After this trip, I am 99% sure that I will never eat at Burger King again. The service was dimwitted and the food was inedible. I recently heard that Burger King bought Tim Hortons. Let's see how long it takes to transform that regional delight into something completely disgusting.

Even at off peak lunch time, this place is extremely slow, and usually gets your order wrong.

Experiences like I had today is argument enough for Yelp allowing reviews of zero stars. Cause that is what they should get; one star is giving this outfit too much credit. I have been going to this Burger King for about 6- months. Only recently I had a problem. It started about a month ago when it took 15- minutes to order and be served going through the drive- thru. Too much time for a man on lunch break. A week later the same thing happen. I ordered then sat in line for 10-min. and, I with my Irish temper, blew my top and sped out of the drive-thru without paying or pickup. Calming down I gave this BK location break, we all have bad days after all, maybe they were training a whole new staff or had a spat of call-off, so I didn't write a yelp review. Today I returned--face, palm! I went inside this time, to sit down, to have some quiet time, and to gather my thoughts while on my lunch. But once again I waited, behind six other people, for my order while the staff and management tripped, stumbled, and pretty much sucked it up for 15- min! Standing there. AFTER STANDING ALL MORNING AT MY JOB... And all I wanted to do is take a load off for a few. Listen, the only reason anyone goes to fast food is because the food is.. Fast. The food isn't particularly good nor health. Without speed IT IS WORTHLESS TO GO THERE! No one, I mean no one, is willing wait half a break for substandard crap. Yet that is what happened. Because I am a inquisitive, analytical mind, I watched the kitchen while I waited, trying to identify the cause of my wait. During this time, three separate orders from the drive through were done incorrectly, a incorrect sandwich was given to a person ahead of me in the dinning room, and another diner was given a burger with incorrect condiments. I an only shake my head; fast food is all regimented and engineered step-by-step so the least sophisticated of us can do it effectively. Why can't they? But no matter, I will never be eating here again. In fact, I think I am soured on all Burger Kings. ( I should give up all fast-crap while I have he chance.)

Very slow service. There were 4 people standing around with only one working. The fish sandwich tasted old.

If it is possible I would give this negative stars. This place should be closed. They are seriously understaffed. I just waited a half hour for the wrong order. The wait was after they took my money and closed the drive thru window. Wrong sandwich, wrong sides, missing food. No one spoke English. Despite free food with coupons, there is nothing that can drag me back there. Ocedon should close this place down. Mickey Ds is the go to place. Steak and Shake is better than this.

I agree with all the other reviews here. Slowest service I have ever experienced. I actually left the drive thru after waiting 5 minutes for them to take my order after they acknowledged I was there. And there were zero cars in front of me. No clue what they're doing in there but it's obviously not working. Next time I'm looking for a quick meal I'll be going down the street to McDonald's or Wendy's, even though it is out of my way.

At this rate, I wish the Twitter hack had been real, and BK had really been sold to McDonald's. maybe they would've managed to not screw up my order so terribly. I hit the drivethrough after my workout, thinking I would grab a grilled chicken wrap. I know BK Is far from the epitome of healthy eating, but without the ranch or honey mustard on it, the grilled chicken wrap is actually pretty healthy. That, plus I was on the other side of town from my house, and not going home any time soon, so I wanted something in a pinch. So I ordered that, and a water. To her credit, the girl working the window was a total sweetheart to me. However, that was the only good thing that I have to say about this meal. Mostly because I didn't eat a damn thing! After I got my wrap, I just waited for minute and she looked at me as if she was confused, and when I asked where my water was she said oh you didn't order one. Which is funny, because I distinctly remember saying "and I would like a water too, please." She was polite went and got it without any fuss, so I had no real issue with that. My first issue came when I drove around the corner reached into the bag just to check the heat of the sandwich and noticed that the wrap was not very hot. Dammit! Strike two. Oh well, I can still live with that, it's just not preferable. Once I got to my next destination I opened up the bag and took out my wrap & removed it from the wrapper...dammit. Breaded crispy chicken. I remember doublechecking the order sign, which said grilled chicken wrap, she repeated back to me grilled chicken wrap, the slip on the bag said grilled chicken...yet some moron in the kitchen gave me crispy chicken. This is completely outside the realm of my current dietary restrictions, and also just not that healthy for you. So in the trash it went, and I continued to be hungry.

Once BK changed the fries years ago, my visits began less frequent. After today's visit, it will be a very, very long time (if ever) until I go back. Went to the drive thru with a few friends, mainly because it was along our route home. First, they were out of a couple things we ordered. Next, we waited about 5 minutes for the worker to come to the window. Once he did, he asked, "which ticket are you?" I looked at him, utterly confused, because there was no one else there! He said, "what did you order?" So, I told him a couple things on our order. He ran our credit card, then started looking at the receipt and drinks, looking confused. Again, we were the ONLY ones there! We received our drinks and waited... and waited... and waited... 10 more minutes until we received food! I asked my friends to check the bag, just in case. The worker opened the window again and asked, sounding offended, "is there something wrong?" We looked at him and said that we were just checking the order. Good thing we did because we were missing a large order of fries. He gave us the fries and we headed home. Finally, time to eat... but, wait, my burger that should have NO mayo, NO pickles, actually has ONLY mayo and pickles! YUCK! The receipt, by the way, says "No Mayo, No Pickles." I figured I should give the store feedback, since this was one of the worst drive thru experiences I've ever had. The receipt says to go to mybkexperience.com to complete a survey. So I did... What happened there? I received a notice saying they had "completed our data collection for this period." WHAT? I can't give you feedback? Seriously? Why would a retail or food service outlet NOT let you give feedback?? They also do not have a customer service email, so you have to call or write to them. Really? In 2011, no email? Needless to say, I will not be visiting this BK again. I would give them 0 stars if I could. I'd much rather drive a little farther to get something else!

I agree on negative stars. The staff was incredibly argumentative and ended up refusing me service. I saw an advertisement for frozen cokes for 75 cents and decided that would be delicious! After waiting 10 minutes in line (there was only 1 car ahead of me) I gave them my order, 2 frozen cokes. They then informed me that their machine was down. I asked if they would be able to offer me anything else for 75 cents and they said no and that it wasn't their fault that the machine wasn't working. Then the manager told me that because I was being so rude that I could figure out corporate's phone number and complain to someone that wants to hear it, because she didn't. Now I've worked fast food before and am currently employed in the resteraunt biz and if we ever ran out of anything we've always offered an alternative for the same price. And to say that it wasn't your fault?! Then whose is it? Get your act together bk! Rude rude rude. If I would have said something like that to a customer, I would have been immediately fired. But I will for sure never visit this bk ever again, nor will I recommend this as a place to eat to my friends (I live 2 minutes away). The lights were also off even though their sign on the door said they are open 24 hrs.
