This has become my new favorite neighborhood restaurant! Fantastic wine selections and sample flights of wine as well as craft beers. Delicious, well prepared, food ranging from salads to a meatloaf that left you wanting to lick the plate. Casual, yet mildly sophisticated ambience. My only suggestion would be to continue to expand the range of the menu, e.g. more seafood offerings, etc. This was my first visit and I will be returning as a regular.

Sadly the food was overpriced and very small portions. I also bought the premium wine flight, all of which I had experienced before. All three tasted waaaay beyond their peak (like they had been open too long). I told the wait staff and got ZERO response or even offer for new glasses. I would have thought they would have at least credited part of the cost. Buyer beware.

A generous 3 star rating. This rating is only on food...we did not indulge at lunch time but I was very impressed with the wine selection and prices. So definitely a place to go back for a nice wine and appetizer night. We used the Groupon offer which was a great value. Thankfully we got 40 bucks worth of food and used it all at lunch. The prices are not reasonable and hit or miss on serving size portions. I had a half WG salad and it was very good. It was cold and put together so I know it was already prepared that way and not prepared fresh...but it was very good and would order again. I also had the tapas portion of salmon...14 dollars for a small maybe 3oz. piece of sockeye on top of an au gratin potato block. I ate the salmon...not hot..room temperature and was average at best. Slightly fishy taste which led me to believe not as fresh as I would have liked. The potatoes were also not hot...took 1 bite and did not finish the rest. Very bland and looked like a block of scalloped potatoes baked in oil. Not appealing and not tasty. The dish is not worth 14 bucks and if I just had that I would have been starving. A pretty expensive lunch to walk away hungry. My wife had the risotto special...Cajun chicken and cheese. It was a very large portion for 19 dollars...easily could have fed 2 for lunch. It was good and would order again but was not something you walked away from and said that was awesome. Just good. The venue is very appealing. Very modern with nice lighting and a very nice looking bar. Again, I would come back here for wine and maybe some side dishes...but for lunch or just dinner...I would say pretty expensive for serving size and quality of food. Servers were very attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely very cordial. No issues at all with the service.

First time to this location and had a wonderful time! The wine flights are tasty, the food and service were great. Nice bar area and friendly place. We will be back!

We were immediately greeted with kindness. This place has an excellent atmosphere and great food. You can't go wrong with the bacon jam. Try the farmhouse burger with homemade kettle chips. Amazing! We will be back for a flight or two.

The food is ok nothing great especially for the price. Bar staff is very unorganized. Been 5-6 times I wouldn't recommend it for the price.

This is my second time here, and both times I've been a really great experience! Sean was very good to us, and Steve is always very friendly and helpful. The food and drink are without parallel in this particular area. I had the Ciopinni one time and the filet another time and both were excellent. About $60 for two with a drink or two. You will not be disappointed.

My wife and I recently found this place, and decided to try it out for our anniversary. Overall, we were pleased with the experience. WHAT WE LIKED: 1. Appetizers. The Steak Bruschetta was quite good. We'd go back for that alone. In fact, we have contemplated a return trip back here for just a few appetizers (no main course), because there were other appetizer offerings that looked good. 2. Wine flights. They have several groups of wines where you can get either by the glass, by the bottle, or as part of a four-wine flight. I didn't try one of the flights, but on my next trip there, this is definitely what I'm going to get. 3. Plenty of food. You get a decent amount of food, so you don't have to worry about leaving hungry. In fact, in reference to in item #1 above, unless you have the appetite of a Sarlaac pit on Tatooine, you can pretty much fill up on couple of shared Appetizers alone. 4. Decor/Atmosphere. This place looks and feels rather upscale, but not "stuffy". We didn't know where we were eating when we came here, and I was wearing a nice long-sleeved pull-over shirt, with jeans - I didn't feel the "look of judgment" from anyone, but I did feel as though I could have used a pair of khakis. WHAT WE DIDN'T LIKE: 1. Food Taste. Aside from the Steak Bruschetta, everything else was pretty plain jane-ish. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't "Knock you off your feet" delicious, either. That was disappointing. 2. Prices. Look, for me it's quite simple: Either they need to really ramp up the taste of their menu items (with the exception of the Steak Bruschetta - That item is PERFECT), or they should reduce the prices of their menu items by $2-$3, across the board. My wife had a $15 steak salad as her entree. It didn't taste like a $15 salad. It tasted more like a $10-$12 salad. My chicken sandwich wasn't awful, but it was a tad overpriced, too. 3. Menu Selection. This one is going to be subjective for everyone. For me, I really wanted a steak. But they only had one steak option on their menu. It may have been our anniversary, but I don't typically spend $30 for a steak. Not that I don't feel it may have been worth it (I'll never know), but for me, I simply don't spend that much for a steak. Had it been $25 or less, I'd have gone for it. That said, some people will come here, and think that they have plenty of selection. For me, it just depends on what you want. If you want steak, just know that there is only one steak entree selection for $30. BOTTOM LINE: We will come back, but we will avoid main courses here. It strikes me that there is more parity with the quality of their appetizers and those prices than with the quality and prices of entrees. And I definitely want to partake of their wine flights next time. And in case you didn't catch my endorsement, try the Steak Bruschetta. It's awesome. Unless you're a vegetarian. In which case, their water is delicious!

An absolute treat finding this place! Food was amazing, I had the chicken sandwich and he had the farm burger. The WG side salad was a very large portion and very fresh. They have bourbon flights, wine and lots of local brews, I had "the bourbon trail" flight. Everyone was exceptionally friendly, I'll be back!

I am updating my review based on recent experiences. There seems to be a change in the management and food prep. I have frequented their happy hour with colleagues but recently received such poor service I don't plan to return. Our server was not attentive and we actually chased him down to order food and also pay our bills. The food was mediocre and the limited veg options need to be updated. Wine bars and kitchens are becoming a dime a dozen so I hope they work to stay competitive.

One of our favorites for happy hour! They have recently added bourbon flights, which are an interesting touch. We have yet to have anything bad on the menu. I personal love the gourmet burger.

We came in because of a Groupon we purchased. This place was very pretty with an urban open air feel. The prices are very reasonable and they even offer tasting or tapas portions of some of their entrées. There are a lot of flights to choose from with great descriptions to help make choosing easier. It's a great date spot.

  • Beth V.

Very disappointing. When we came in for happy hour there where no tables and we were unable to enjoy happy hour in the dining area. The lamb chops were very fatty and the risotto and shrimp were under seasoned. Way too much money for a poor meal.

I thoroughly enjoyed the WG Kitchen and Bar while in Ohio visiting friends and family. I showed up to the restaurant with a party of 6 adults. We had made reservations ahead of time so our table was ready as soon as we arrived. I found their menu selections to be varied and priced right. They also have a very good wine selection as well. My scorecard for the night: Service-very attentive and courteous staff Ambiance- busy, high energy noisy but fun Food-Excellent Wine-Great selection I recommend WG Kitchen and Bar as a must try!

Came in for an early lunch on a week day. We had 2 adults and 3 children under 3. They were very accommodating and put us in an area where we were comfortable, but didn't disturb any other customers. Nice wine selection and the food was tasty. We opted for several appetizers instead of full meals. We went with the hummus, bruschetta and one of the salads. I am looking forward to coming back for a nice dinner soon.

I had heard many good things about WG, and delayed my visit here for unknown reasons. I guess I expected it to be just another mediocre chain restaurant.. but I was highly satisfied! I went here with my sister for brunch on Easter Sunday and we were seated right away. I ordered a peach bellini and it was very delicious and not too sweet, which they sometimes tend to be. I tried my sister's Bloody Mary and it was also great! I usually am not a fan of them, but it had a nice smokey flavor and was served with a speared pickle and a slice of bacon in it... yum! They also served on the house warm pita bread with homemade sun dried tomato hummous, which was very tastey. They had a special Easter brunch menu for that morning, so I jumped ahead to that for my order. I got the poached eggs with filet medallions, served with red potatoes and hollandaise and a side of fresh fruit.. and Oh. Em. Gee.. those filets were cooked to perfection and needed barey any chewing. It was also the perfect portion. It was the best brunch plate I had had in a very long time! What I liked most about this place was how much quality their food has for the moderately low price you pay. And lastly, I have to place emphasis on their service here. Every single member of their staff greeted us with smiles and our waiter was extremely sweet and ensured we were enjoying everything and gave us the best recommendations. I cannot wait to come back and try their small plate/dinner options!

We've been here twice and let me just say this. Their menu is tiny! I'm not a fan of the 3 page menu either but if you're looking for just a couple of options, this is not the place to go. We brought friends with us and my buddy ordered a burger and they don't even have fries. Yes, I know, typical american me but what if we brought kids, no fries??? This is not my greatest complaint bc personally I like food to be on the higher end so we ordered a pork tenderloin with some sort of peach sauce and a napa valley chicken meal with some roasted potatoes. The pork was tasty and so was the chicken but rest was just ok. We kind of felt that we were settling for something we knew we would like INSTEAD of wanting to try something new. Their wine is pricey. I would say if you want a good restaurant that compares to this place check out Stonecreek over in West Chester.

Amateur Hour. My wife and I went here for a rare night out without the kids- what a waste. We were served iced tea with a fly in it (the server joked it was "flyced-tea"), they were out of several items we wanted, our appetizer came out wrong (why don't servers write down orders???), our server was less than attentive and our check was wrong. Stay away, there are too many great options out there.

Wow! Made a reservation for 49 at 1 pm and WG knocked it out of the park. My daughters Lacrosse team and parents descended on WG at 5:30 and not only was the device 5 star the food was 5 star. ...and the bills were absolutely perfect. Matt and his team did an awesome job. The Hangar Steak was the best I have ever had and it's not unfamiliar to me.

Not impressed at all. I had the driest, worst tasting burger I've ever experienced. The best part of the meal was the pita bread and even that was a struggle for out waitress to bring. Overpriced and definitely not going back.

I thought the downtown location was good, but this location was near perfect. My husband, 2 kids and I went to enjoy an anniversary lunch. We were greeted right away, and promptly seated. While the gentleman walked us to our seats, he informed us that they do not have a kids menu, but were happy to make accommodations. He then proceeded to compliment my son on his bow tie. We took our seats and were greeted by Tabitha, our server. We noticed that the Honey Ricotta appetizer was no longer on the menu. We asked Tabitha about it, and she said that they recently made some changes, but she was sure they could take care of it. Sure enough, she brought it out for us. We placed our orders. The food was top notch. Everything that was supposed to come out hot was hot and cold was cold, even when on the same plate. The Honey Ricotta appetizer is one of my favorite things. Here or anywhere else for that matter. It is composed of 6 slices of bruschetta, a small jar filled with a creamy ricotta topped with olive oil, and a spoon of honey comb. The creamy with the crunchy, and sweet with the savory is great. I know I could make it myself, but I never seem to have all the ingredients at once. It soars when paired with the Sweet Flight. Flights are a great, inexpensive, way to try multiple wines, in the same style. My husband had a burger with kettle chips, both kids had Margarita flat bread pizzas, and I had the filet sandwich with a Caesar salad. Everyone was happy with their meals. My salad was crisp and not overdressed. The ONLY down side of the whole meal was that the meat was cooked on the rare side of medium. Not enough of a bother to take away a star. Both were still well composed sandwiches, made with quality ingredients. My filet was so tender my teeth cut through it like a hot knife through butter. Quality cheese was used on the pizzas. Being a special occasion, we ordered dessert. When Tabitha asked if we were ready my little one blurted out that it was "mommy and daddy's anamaversary." Tabitha was so sweet and offered us a dessert "on the house." We went ahead and ordered 2 desserts so there would be enough for all. Molten lava cake and the creme brulee were chosen. The molten lava cake was topped with vanilla bean ice cream and whipped cream. In previous experiences, (at other restaurants,) I find molten lava cake to have a burnt taste. Thankfully this was not the case here. It turned out perfectly. The creme brulee is their start dessert. Infused with just the right amount of port, this creme brulee is a rare treat. Tabitha is a great server. She is attentive without being push or overbearing. She also treated our children as "people," which goes a long way in my book. Much easier to get to then downtown, with easy to find, free parking. We look forward to coming here again! Oh, don't forget to check Groupon and Cincisavers for periodic discount deals.

We liked it and will be back. My husband had the spicy shrimp pasta and I had the fish tacos. They both were good but the fish tacos were a bit messy as they kept falling apart. We think it was because they had a corn shell. Atmosphere was good. Nice place to go with friends. Thought prices were in line with what you received. I will try one of the wine flights next time-4 glasses of wine for $14.99.

  • Andrew R.

The food is okay at best and a tad overpriced in my opinion. The state min pricing on wine makes the price of the drinks a little more palatable even with the $10 corkage charge. Service was decent, but our server was constantly trying to upsell us (a huge turnoff for me) and was a little too attentive. I wouldn't recommend staying away, but there are other restaurants in the area that provide a better dining experience at a similar price point.

  • P S.

I like this place because it gives more of an impression of higher end dining than any other place nearby. I don't drink wine that often but when I do its here and I have purchased bottles to go at very reasonable prices. I DO drink whiskey and the new flights they offer are a great idea and again very reasonably priced. Food in my opinion is OK. Although I have found some gems Im not an overall fan of wood fire cooking. The burger, the ONE steak they offer and grilled chicken have all had an overly smoky flavor to them. Others may like this but I do not. Have had lunch and dinner many times and did brunch once...Brunch was overpriced with few offerings and small portions. Service is always wonderful. We will be back.

  • Ekrem D.

The food is okay. It doesn't stand out from other restaurants, but the service is fantastic and worth going for that alone. I have to say that the menu is creative with some interesting items. I will have to go back and try a few more entrees that caught my eye.

I don't hate it! I had a pretty good experience here. You walk in to a giant wine section from which you can pick a bottle and bring it to your table. They add $10 to the retail price to drink it at the restaurant. Prices aren't terrible - not cheap though. They have a very good selection. However, the servers don't know about the wines that aren't listed on the menu! I think the owners should educate the servers and have tasting classes for all the wine available in the restaurant so they can help customers in their choices - this is a restaurant centered around wine - the people working there should know about wine! Our server was very nice - we weren't rushed. They bring out pita bread with a sun dried tomato cream cheese as a snack which was tasty. They offer decanters for your wine. Nice presentation for wine flights too. Food Ricotta and honeycomb jar - I have had this elsewhere and it was better at the other place but this was still tasty. It's a jar of fresh ricotta topped with olive oil and honey with honeycomb in it on the side that you scoop in and mix with the ricotta - spread on toasty bread = delicioso! Mussels - definitely not great. Bland flavor and the mussels themselves were either just not good quality or overcooked - definitely a one star for those. Cajun scallops - they got this SO right. Perfectly seared large dry scallops cooked perfectly on top of a raspberry sauce with mixed greens, walnuts, and bleu cheese. Awesome Poached lobster- nice presentation, tasted ok. Not SPECTACULAR, but enjoyable Steak Bruschetta - AWESOME Chicken Marsala - like the lobster... tasty but not memorable. lava cake - more cakey than lava-ey. it's chocolate though so... uhm... good in my book! Not my first choice for a wine restaurant, but it was nice. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could.

took my wife here for an early Christmas date. per usual, we had a good experience. +1 for using OpenTable to book reservations. +1 for a GREAT bread plate with warm olives. i get it every time. there's something really good mixed in with the dipping oil and vinegar. my wife thinks it's a bit of honey. tasty! +1 for friendly service. props to our server who, when asked a question she didn't know, she went to find the answer instead of making something up. +1 for good wine selection. i had a very interesting argentinian malbec. +0 for being a bit pricey. +1 for good atmosphere. nice for dates. +1 for average food. we'll return, but mainly for the wine, atmosphere, and bread plate with warm olives!

My friends and I were out in a large group three weeks ago, on a Saturday night, and we had little hope of finding a place that could accommodate us all with no reservation. We walked in and the friendly staff immediately set about rearranging tables for us. We were sitting within minutes. Service was great, especially considering how busy the dining room was. The food was delicious too- the bruschetta appetizer and the tuna entree were my favorites. The wine selection was great. We were able to choose any bottle at wine store prices, and they served it for a 10 dollar corkage fee. The restaurant was comfortable and clean, and the individual unisex restrooms were a nice touch too. I should have written this review sooner, but it wasn't til I had a worse experience recently, somewhere else of course, that I remembered to give WG their 5 stars.

We had a great night at WG Kitchen & Bar. We went on a Groupon, which they offer fairly regularly on Groupon. The wine selection is pretty robust for a medium venue, with some unusual wines that I would not have expected them to have. For example, they carry Rex Hill Pinot Noir, one of my favorites, which tends to be rare in this region. The service was outstanding. Even with a busy restaurant, the servers were on top of everything. We did not have to wait long for anything. As for the food, I can only say "Wow." Everyone had a great meal. All of the meals were prepared perfectly. I really enjoyed their heinous Mac and Cheese concoction. Save room for dessert though - their desserts are worth it.

I'm disappointed that people would have anything negative to say about the atmosphere, food or their overall experience at this restaurant. Honestly, it's a little unbelievable. The interior is in line with that of a restaurant in a large city and yet placed in the middle of suburban Ohio. The food is OUTSTANDING. There have been plenty of places that people claim are great restaurants and I've spent a fair amount of money on disappointing food at them. I will gladly give my money to this restaurant because they deserve it. They are working hard to create a superior product and it's worth every penny. The Executive Chef, Dustin, obviously paid attention in culinary school, because his work is superb. He's also approachable, knowledgeable and you can tell he loves what he does. That's the kind of person I want making my food. The rest of the staff members are also very friendly without coming off like they're trying too hard. The selection of wine and cocktails is impressively expansive. Our server, Tabitha, was fantastic. And the overall atmosphere has the perfect blending of an upscale setting with a relaxed vibe. I will recommend this restaurant to everyone I know because it is exactly what I have been looking for all these years, and I can't believe it was right under my nose. Don't wait, it's a must. P.S. The creme brulee was the best I've ever had, EVER.

I first tried this place as a result of a "Living Social" deal that was posted and WOW am I glad I made that purchase. This is a bit of a drive for me but was so worth it. Never mind, that it is located in a shopping mall which is usually a big turn-off for me. My husband and I have now eaten here twice and both times were amazing. The wine selection is also very impressive. On my first visit, I had the prawns and a salad that was absolutely mouth-watering. I also tried the white wine flight and ended up purchasing a bottle from the flight. My husband had a beef dish and said it was fabulous as well. The second visit, I chose a scallop dish and hubby had a beef dish (he is a meat and potatoes guy). Again, food was amazing. This is upscale food with a great selection of wines in a nice space but in a location that would give you the impression it would be a mediocre experience. Not true. We will be back again and again. The only complaint I have is that the service was very slow on both visits.

My husband and I enjoy going for "dates" at WG Kitchen during happy hour. The bar bites are delicious and very reasonably priced ( must try the diablo shrimp sliders) and you get a discount on their wine fights. The inside has a cozy industrial feel and service has always been very good. A fun place to go in Bridgewater Falls :)

This is one place that I will return to. The wine flights are nice and not something standard in this area. You can chose a bottle from the wine store too. The menue was great and the extra touches to each meal go a long way. The staff has been friendly on all times we have gone even when very busy. This is in a shopping area so it would be great for day or night. The place is a restuarant a bar and a wine shop taht you can hang out in. I want to try it out as just a hang out rather than a restuarant but I keep going for a table as the food was great. Feels dressy but you can be casual. Date night and romantic if you are in a corner or in the wine shop area other wise it is a busling restuarant.

Great food and wine. Go for happy hour and stay for dinner. You won't be disappointed, Try the tuna sliders as an appetizer and follow with the pan seared salmon served with braised collards. Excellent. Cannot believe this is a restaurant with multiple locations. For the size and price, it is presents like chef-owned.

Amazing dinner it's been a long time since I have had food that good. When we left we wished we could have tried more things but we didn't have any more room. Try the wine flights they are a great and fairly inexpensive way to discover new wines. The service was good and it was a very nice casual dining experience with very high end food. I can't wait to be able to go back
