This is a great place to have a small party or get together if you're aiming for atmosphere. They have several really cool themed rooms. I absolutely loved the Vegas room, which is filled with glammy mostly white decor. We also once attended an event in the front bar room that was very nice as well. They had a long handmade bar with river stones forming the shape of the famous licking county serpent mound, which was interesting. The bar snacks that we've had during catered events have been great. That being said, the regular menu left something to be desired. It's all decent, but no one was thrilled with their meal and the prices are a bit high for what you get. The menu has a limited selection. Other noteworthy points; the staff is pretty good, the restrooms are clean, and they have a mechanical bull. During a surprise party we did have an issue with some very drunk customers in the bathroom. 2 women's were screaming strings of curse words in the restroom. Someone in the stall very politely informed her that she had a 3 year old in the stall with her. Instead of apologizing or quieting doing the women WENT OFF. They were yelling "I thought this was a bad, sounds like your problem bitch". It was 7pm on a Saturday. It's a restaurant and bar. There was a whole group of middle schoolers there for homecoming... She was just out of line. The staff didn't do anything about it though, so that kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Otherwise, it's good. I'm only giving it 4 stars because I enjoy that you can have small parties there in the awesome rooms. Otherwise it would be a 3 star.

One of the better bars I've been to. It appears to be well-kept and the crowd is completely pleasant. I'm here on 13Sept and whatever band is playing right now is phenomenal. This bar attracts a lively crowd from 25 to 40 years old. While I'm not usually attracted to bars myself, I'd definitely keep coming back here. The staff working here also seem to be extremely tasteful, friendly, but still gorgeous...which is unusual for a bartending position. (At least for a female position in Dayton.) I appreciate that. Did I mention I enjoyed the interior? Again, this place was very clean.

This, in my opinion, is a real hidden gem. I've been there four times and have never been disappointed. I like the Chicken Italian Pizza, which is a pesto based pizza hand-tossed with chicken and tomatoes as toppings. The sandwiches are good and if I have the appetite, I plan to try the meatloaf next time. On weeknights and Saturday at lunch it's very kid friendly. There is sometimes live music later in the evenings.

The facade shares nothing of the inside of FM. This place is huge, well decorated and belive it or not even had clean bathrooms. Sure this could have been because they where fairly vacant on a Saturday night, but I've only visited once. As a non drinker I can not speak for the bar side of things, but I can say the turkey burger was surprisingly good. While kind and accommodating when one can get ahold of a server, things seemed slow. The atmosphere is clearly geared towards groups and events which leaves me wondering how dinning would have progressed if there were more than four of us. All in all I like the concept.

Trying really hard to be the Hard Rock Cafe. Pretty decent local bar/restaurant. Its much better than some of the other 10 or so bars that have come and gone from this spot, although I must say I miss Stollys in this location

This place just reminds me of a Rock n Roll Hall of Fame wannabe. Overpriced food that is just "meh", overpriced drinks, etc. In the group I was with, a couple people really liked their food (the turkey burger in particular), but most just said, eh, it's OK. It's big and not super busy it seems, so you can go with a group and have a nice big table. The décor is fun, and there are a few separate rooms with different themed décor, which is cool. Oh yeah, and there is a mechanical bull that you can ride for $5. Lol. All in all, I wont be back unless there is a function. And I won't be eating.

My disclaimer about this restaurant is that I had heard not-so-glowing reviews before I even set foot in the front door. What I had heard from a few other people was that it was a lot like TGI Friday's, and that it was too pricey for what you got. No disrespect to Friday's (I used to be a server there in the nineties) but those comments were dead on. First off, the decor inside was very captivating. The theme was both rock 'n' roll and there was an homage to famous Ohioans in the back room. There was also a private room that had this bad-ass tree sculpture in it. Yet another detailed touch was that the covers of the menus were old vinyl record jackets. I thought the looks of the place was very cool. One of the main problems was that this place was gigantic, and at 6:00 PM on a Friday, there was nobody there. FM is in a strip mail, where I've seen other businesses come and go, but that isn't necessarily a deal breaker, right? Right. Our server was on top of things. He should have been, because we were the only ones in the back room. The back room looked like it could hold fifty guest easily. He gave us good suggestions before ordering and asked all of our questions. He was solid. He even up-sold my wife by talking her out of the Margarita Flat bread sandwich and to "pay a few more bucks for the Margarita Pizza. It's a few more bucks and you get a lot more food". Part of the reason he said this was because I had my mind set on hot wings. The wings were sold as an appetizer, and he thought I'd still be hungry. The kids got french fries and mozzarella sticks, so they were happy. The food was OK, but we could have gone across the street to Rusty Bucket and it would have been comparable. It probably would have been a hair bit less expensive, actually. The hot wings were tasty but not really hot. The Margarita Pizza was big, and I helped my wife finish it. The server was right on that count. The wings weren't enough for me. even so, the pizza was not great. Over all, the wait staff was good, from the hostess to the server... No visit from a manager, which is surprising. I mean, the place was dead. Does anybody want us to remember this place, or want to come back? The food was too expensive for just OK taste. Probably not going to go back... But we didn't hate it.

Been here before for drinks, but never dinner, so we decided to try it. Nice place, cool vibe w-big bar, rock-n-roll themed art, etc.. After being told we couldn't get a table without a reservation we opted to sit at the bar, which was fine w-us. It did seem odd that the 2 booths behind us sat empty the whole time we were there, but whatever. After being served mixed drinks with very flat 7-up we ordered dinner. After a half hour waiting for our med. steak, we were served well done dry steak that seemed to be done 15 mins. Earlier & sat under a heat lamp. Waitress never asked if it was ok or not. Might have caught them on a bad Nite, but they didn't seem too busy as there was only about 10 people sitting at the bar. Doubt I give them another chance, too many other places that serve a good steak.

Some friends and I gathered here for a farewell party for another friend who is departing C-bus for a new job and new home. First impressions? Good. The staff that we interacted with were friendly, funny and helpful. From the hostess to the bartenders, everyone was great. The food was surprisingly good. I didn't have very high expectations to begin with so the food surprised me. I had the chicken quesadillas which were damn tasty. My friend had the Greek salad with blackened salmon on top and it was amazing. The drink menu is small but nice. They have a decent selection of beer and wine and some interesting cocktails. A mix of classics and unique ones. Now, the restaurant itself is a little odd. There is an odd partial fenced off dance floor and a mechanical bull. It made for some interesting people watching (Pro-tip: If you're going to ride the mechanical bull, don't wear a skirt... or at least wear underpants.)

We came in as a group with some coworkers and what a pleasant surprise on our first time. The place was large and really well put together. Everything was clean and it in the right place. They had a great special and the food was good. The service was the best! They were so nice and accommodating for our group on such short notice. They even played some music for us to all dance to and cap off the great experience there. We will def be coming back!

When this place first opened, it was great. The food was new & the entertainment was fun. It is a bit pricy & the food isn't as good. More times than not, I've left unimpressed. I go there if friends want to go due to convenience. Advice: change up you menu & entertainment.

The food here is fantastic, I've had almost half the menu and it has never once failed to exceed my expectations. The management, wait and bar staff are all very kind, professional, and incredibly helpful. This restaurant is a must-try for those in the area who want a great dining experience!

This place is a must go! Excellent service, atmosphere and outstanding food!!! The stakes were grilled to perfection, paired with tasty Bovin vine! Their sea food was absolutely delicious ! We highly enjoyed ourselves ! We are definitely coming back with more friends ! I highly recommend this place!

We came on a busy night and were seated an hour in. After being seated it took us 20 minutes before our waiter came. We ordered drinks and food and had to remind him 30 minutes later that we had no drinks. Food was great...recommend wings and spinach dip. We ordered some shots and someone in group said they would take them on her bill. Out waiter said that he would bring 1 bill and we would have to figure it out!!!!! Poor service means that I won't be back for a good long time which is a shame because I live in Gahanna.

The decor is pleasant, with music being the theme. We visited on a Saturday at 5:00. The place was pretty empty, so it may be more of a night spot. Prices were IMHO way too expensive for a strip mall establishment. I'm a beer snob, so I am usually hard to please. The beer menu is better than average but not a beer mecca. I had a Columbus IPA and a Bells Two Hearted. Alcohol prices were not too bad, if you avoided the specialty drinks. My wife loved her gyro, I enjoyed the fm burger, but it was not worth the $12 price tag. Service was decent, our server was Igor, however it was early in the evening. In addition to food and drinks, there is a stage, pool tables, dart boards and a mechanical bull. I doubt I come back, due to the food prices and beer selection.

Good thing Graeter's is right up the street, as I left FM still hungry and unsatisfied. From start to finish, we had a terrible experience; the only redeeming quality is the cool decor. Even with that, the decor doesn't make up for poor, if not terrible, quality of both the food and service. Here are just a few of the things that happened, in ONE sitting... The hostess tried to pawn us off on the bar rather than welcome us first to a table. Then, she was "out of menus" -- there were 5 tables sat when we arrived. When our server came over, she made no mention that we still were without menus. We order, app (spin dip) was mediocre but got the job done. I ordered the turkey burger which was bland yet quite gross tasting all at the same time. Upon receiving my burger, it was served without the green beans I ordered, of which I informed the food runner that they were missing. I ate half my burger, my boyfriend ate his sandwich and all of his fries....still no green beans and no server in sight. She finally arrives, we ask for the check, not wanting to cause a fuss (which I now regret, obviously). We place our credit card in the booklet, and out walks the manager with my green beans. She gives me a poor apology, asking if I want to box up the beans (no thanks) and then looks at our check and says, "Oh, I see everything is already rang in. Not much I can do." Yes, she offered us dessert, but like I said, at least Graeter's is up the street. Don't waste your time, money, appetite, or Friday night at FM All American Bar and Grill.

When there a couple times and order pork shops. The 1st time the pork shops were good. Came back a month later. Order the same dish and the pork shop didn't taste as good as the first time. I asked the server why the pork shops were not as good. Her answer was " maybe because we have a new staff in the kitchen" Came for a third time today and the pork shops were awful. They were tasteless, they were not marinated long enough. It didn't have a nice glazed. Their food lacks of consistency. On top of that $18 is a lot of $$ for a poor tasteless dish. Oh! Their draft beer was flat "Stella" appeared like it didn't have CO2 which makes the beer foamy & fresh. I hope I never had to come back to this placed.

Went here for a friend's birthday party. The ambiance was good - live band, pool tables, dartboards, and even a mechanical bull (which I think the Whiskey Ranch, the former tenant, left behind.) Wasn't too thrilled with the food, however. Menu seemed a little bit drab. While the names were creative, the choices were typical. Very lacking in any kind of items that would sway me in their direction when compared with other restaurants/bars. I went with the blackened tilapia sandwich and sweet potato fries. Fries were decent, but the tilapia was flaky on the outer edges but grossly tough in the center. My husband tried the classic burger and fries, which he enjoyed. This is also worth mentioning - beware if you are typically a 15% tipper and you're in a large group, as a 20% tip is calculated into your bill. The service was worthy of that, and I'm a consistent 20% tipper, but I just found it a little high for an "automatic" tip. I may give it a try again, but likely not for the food.

Disgusting. We ordered a Caesar salad, wings and Philly cheese steak.... The food took about 40 minutes to come out. There was a hair in the Caesar salad, wings were gross and after biting into them looked like they were undercooked... Philly was weirdly greasy....gross all around. We won't be coming here to eat again. Save yourself and don't waste your money.

At FM the decor was cool with lots to look at. In the lobby were lots of old album covers to check out. This maybe a great place to stop for happy hour or late night to listen to a band. With that you may be asking why only a 2 star rating. Well we went for dinner and the food was disgusting. Why to much salt on everything. I ordered the FM Classic Burger cooked medium it came out dark gray and raw in the center.

The food here is pretty good, and there is a decent selection of beers, however we won't be back. My meal was brought out 15 minutes after everyone else at our table because they forgot to put the order in. Our waiter did not have knowledge of the menu, and was in general unattentive. Silliest of all, we had 3 couples total and had to get the meal on one check; they have a rule they won't split the bill for the table.

Cool design; had a very Hard Rock vibe to it. Appetizers were good (veggie quesadillas was yum!). The main food and our service were both kinda meh. Both of our orders got slightly screwed up even though the place was fairly quiet. I'd definitely go back for drinks or a happy hour. The place seemed well suited to events.

I really loved it here! We had planned on going to the Cap City Diner but got a call cancelling our reservation due to a kitchen fire. Thankfully I had heard about FM and it was on the way home. My husband was not quite as enthused about the strip mall/next to Dollar General exterior, but willing to give it a chance as men do when women want something. Inside all of his doubts lifted and he also commented how nice the interior is and how compfy the booths are. The space is huge, there are a ton of big booths in the main room as well as several other rooms. You could tell there was alot of thought and money put into the renovation, I really liked it and can see it as being a great club/bar at night with good music and plenty of seating. The service was fast and friendly. We arrived at 6 just as happy hour was ending but they still let us get the flatbreads at half price as well as the mac n daddys o's. I had the veggie flatbread which was great. Sauteed veggies and the best balsamic drizzled on it. The man had the pepperoni flatbread which was not ade it the same love and care, soggy, plain, not much pepperoni. The mac n daddy o's was 3 huge sticks of fried mac n cheese with ham and greens inside, they looked amazing, but the taste was a bit watery and bland, the truffled cheese sauce for dipping I loved though. For dinner the man had the philly cheesesteak and it was made it good quality beef not steak ums and nicely sauteed onions and peppers. I had the veggie burger on a perfectly buttered and toasted brioche bun with fries, it was great! No complaints here, nice menu, great location, worth checking out!

We had dinner and drinks with friends this past Friday night. The restaurant is very clean and very new--quite modern. It was not as busy as we thought it would be for a Friday night, but a nice crowd. There was live music as well. Good drink selection. We had a variety of beers and a nice chocolate martini. The appetizers we got to try were pretty good. The calamari was nicely cooked and came with a spicy wasabi sauce that complimented it well. The spinach dip was also pretty good--the pita bread was warm and very light. We also had a fried mac and cheese app that was not too bad, but you only got 3 sticks, so a bit underwhelming. My fiance had the stuffed burger, which was very delicious. It wasn't prepared exactly how he ordered it (a bit underdone) but was still very tasty. The fries tasted a lot like Five Guys fries, so he liked them. I got the San Gennaro pizza--roasted chicken, spinach, onions, & sans mushrooms. It was a great value for the size it was; however, it was undercooked and not very pleasant. I suppose that it was you get for ordering pizza at a non-pizza place. We returned to FM later that evening and one of our friends rode the mechanical bull, which was quite entertaining. The bar area is nice with a large dance floor. Overall, the environment was better than the food, so I'd say it's a better place to hang out than for dinner out.

FM did not impress. The food was sub par and the service was even worse, just terrible. Now I understand why it was not crowded at 6:30pm on a Friday night. We went for dinner on Fri, Oct 28, 2013. When we walked in I was impressed with the place. It was nicely decorated and spacious. The bar was awesome, it has seating for at least 75 people. There were two areas for private parties and a very nice outside patio. The menu had a lot of choices, we decided on two of the most expensive items. I had a steak w garlic mashed potatoes and my spouse had talapia. My steak had a huge chunk of fat attached which could have easily been trimmed prior to serving. The talapia was prepared italian style w tomatoe sauce and moz cheese. It sat on a bed of tasteless pasta. It would have been better minus the sauce. That combination was wierd. Both came w asparagas which taste like it came from a can. The service was awful. Our waitress took a long time to arrive at our table. She took our drink orders and forgot to bring them. We had to go to the bar and ask for water. The barmaid gave my spouse a funny look and was not friendly at all. We sat there waiting and another waitress came by and asked if we had been helped yet. That is how long we sat there without any accomodations. After our meal came, my spouse asked for tarter sauce. He was half done eating by the time she brought it to the table. When we finished our meal I asked for a box. It took more than 10 minutes to arrive and the bill was another 10 minutes in coming. I was watching our waitress across the bar and she was chatting. There was not a huge crowd so there was no reason for such poor service. There were plent of servers around. Would I return for dinner? NO...... I would recommend FM for happy hour w friends, maybe bar food. But definitely not for a night out for a nice meal.

Great Design, Great Food. Good to watch games. Priced well. Good Wednesday happy hour for girls 1/2 off martinis. Service need a little help so make a resv. to be safe. Great place for Gahanna!!

Cool concept. Food is the usual over salted fare you get at a 'chain' restaurant without it being a chain. The drinks however are stellar.

Every month we get a coupon pack which includes nearby restaurants. We decided to try this place out since there was a good coupon and it is close to our house. Now each month when we get a coupon, we go back. The atmosphere is pretty cool; different than most places around here. This place is packed on the weekends. Every time, I get an amazing triple-decker grilled cheese and fried egg sandwich and fresh cut fries...I'm craving one right now just thinking about it!

Vegas style for the working guy by Kent Coach Dusthimer (1 review) Steak Quesadilla, Triple Decker Grilled Cheese, Reuben The FM American Grill in Gahanna is the best bar/restaurant anywhere in the Columbus area as far as my girlfriend & I are concerned. The place is huge and there's cool stuff to look at all over the place. You'll never get bored. I lost track of how many flatscreen TV's they have, they're seriously everywhere. There has to be way over 30. They have a mechanical bull, two pool tables and different settings throughout. There's a large outside patio, a room that reminds me of ski lodge, the flying V guitar room, a Vegas style lounge in the back that you can even reserve for private parties and the biggest of all these big bar rooms is the main bar with huge wrap around booths, a large dance floor and the band stage. Then you go to food and service. The food is outstanding and put together in ways that make it special and most for under ten bucks. The service is beyond friendly and it's fast. We usually sit in one of the giant horseshoe shaped booths down the side of the main bar but last night they were all full when we came in at about 8:30. So we sat and ate & drank at the bar. The Reuben sandwich I got was really good & so huge we split it. Bar staff was great and guys they have a barmaid back there that will knock your socks off! Sometimes I counted up to 6 or 7 workers dressed in black all hovering around inside the main bar. I even joked with my girlfriend and said, "They're like killer bees" swarming around in the middle of the bar. OK I was drinking lol but you get the drift, they want you to have a good time. The FM has different kinds of FREE entertainment all through the week. We've been to a few live band Fridays now and karaoke Mondays. Always had a fun time. Where else are you going to go on a Friday night with NO COVER CHARGE and listen to a live band and still drink draft beer for as little as $3.00? A Vegas type experience that everyday people can afford pretty much sums it up. I'm in the Property Management business and I can tell if a place is up or down. Here's a tip. If you want to know how much an establishment cares check out it's restrooms. Even the restrooms are detailed up with nice high end fixtures and mood lighting at this place. Everything is well thought out. The owners left nothing up to chance.

This place is great!! One of my new favorite places in columbus:). This bar resembles somethin closer to what you would find in NYC and DC! The outside is good the inside is even better, and its huge! staff is awesome. There's live music, excellent food, a mechanical bull as well as themed rooms like the las vegas room. Somethin to come out for! Fyi tho music is rock bands fri and party type mixture sat;)

What a fun place to eat! The food menu is diverse and interesting, and the drinks menu is really great also. My friends and I had several different types of martinis. I can recommend the key lime martini -- delicious! The Margarita Pizza was excellent, just the right amount of food and all fresh ingredients. I love the menus that come in vintage LP album covers, and the walls are covered with album covers, guitars, etc. It's a really nice and friendly place to eat with great service.

FM is probably the nicest restaurant in Gahanna right now. The staff and the facility are top notch. Always have had great service. It's truly an amazing place. Something for everyone here. The food can be hit or miss though. My suggestion is to stay with sandwiches. So far all of the entrees we've had have not been very good. Last time I tried the pork chops. They were supposed to have a Jack Daniels glaze but I didn't see or taste it and they were pretty dry. I didn't finish them. The Southwest Gyro on the other hand is great and this place has great fries! If they can work out the kinks on their food consistency this place would be 5 Star!

I feel really bad for the owners. They have poured a fortune into this place. It's stunning inside. Unfortunately it's tucked away in a sleepy shopping center next to a dollar store. I've never seen it busy for lunch. They have consistency problems, but all in all it's a good meal and a great environment.

I was rather excited to go to FM Food and Music in Gahanna for the first time. I didn't know much about the food or the music beforehand, but any new encounter with food is an exciting one. I perused the menu on the FM Food and Music website before my arrival and was intrigued by the entree: When a Man Loves a Meatloaf. The description reads: "House-made meatloaf, wrapped in bacon (because bacon makes everything better) then roasted to perfection and of course smothered with gravy." They had me at bacon. I was quite eager to order and receive my bacon wrapped meal, and both my mind and my taste buds had high expectations. No high notes or even low notes of flavor. A small, spoonful of gravy topped just one piece of the entree, and there wasn't even enough gravy for my smashed potatoes to swim in. They lost me at bacon. The bacon, which key to my initial intrigue, was still dripping with the spitter splatter of bacon grease and was less than flavorful. No crisp. No taste. Not even the normal bacon texture. And, no one likes a limp piece of meat. The meatloaf was meatloaf, and I will not belt the Bolton ballad to sing its praises. So, perhaps, it does take a man to love this meatloaf. On the B side... I loved that the menus were in old LP covers (remember those things?!). I really liked the decor and the ambiance, and the place was very clean. The staff was very nice as well! I will most definitely return for karaoke and to take a turn on the mechanical bull!

I've been dreading posting this review because I want to like this place, but I really can't give it a solid review. The gentleman friend and I went in here a month or so ago to grab drinks and dinner. We were quoted a half hour wait and went to the bar to grab a drink. It took the bartender 15 minutes to greet us on a non-busy weeknight. He greeted at least four other patrons before he acknowledged our presence. We asked for a happy hour menu and though we asked questions to ensure that we were ordering happy hour drinks, we were still charged a different price for our one of our beers. When we inquired about the higher charge, the bartender informed us, in a very condescending manner, "Of course, that beer is not on the happy hour menu," despite the menu not stating specific choices. Though our food was good and our server was nice, our impression was marred by the initial rudeness. Hopefully, we'll have a better experience soon!

Jimmy V. Delivers a solid menu including a variety of craft cocktails to wet your whistle. The buffalo chicken flatbread was good, I'm told the Philly sandwich is decent. The vintage music decor is fun, mechanical bull sat untouched while we were there, live music kept the atmosphere buzzing. Probably not a destination if you live central but if you're in the Gahanna area it's worth stopping by for a drink!
