I find the prices to be absolutely ridiculous. One red velvet cupcake is $1.50 with no special rate for a dozen. Beyond that, they don't even make red velvet cakes and the over all selection is poor. I've used them off and on for years however, I will enter 2012 with a vow not to use them again. There's lots of bakeries out there.......I plan to locate another!

This place is amazing! I began coming here as a child, more than fifteen years ago after dentist appointments nearby (go figure!) The cupcakes are consistently amazing and the place has not changed much in all the time I've been coming. Straight chocolate and vanilla is what they do best and I'm glad they realize this and haven't bent to accommodate the cupcake craze movement and the followers that expect dozens of elaborate cupcakes with matching decor. I have confidence that my cupcakes are fresh, as they come straight from the baking racks in the back and don't sit in the front cases getting stale. Despite my assumption that the majority of their business comes from large orders for cupcake cakes (hence the name cupcake FACTORY), they still make single cupcakes available for those people with a sweet tooth who don't quite need to order an entire cake. Rest assured Cupcake Factory, you do have loyal fans who will keep coming back for more of your delicious cupcakes.

Who puts almond extract in a buttercream frosted vanilla cupcake? Thanks for the allergy warning (not) and subsequent allergic reaction. I look like Angelina Jolie.

As pointed out by another reviewer, when you call yourself a cupcake factory, it implies you have a factory of cupcakes. Not here. If you want a cupcake, they go in the back and magically reappear with one. Now that brings me to my last criticism of this place. The icing. I really don't know what it is they squirt on the cupcake, but it isn't icing, Bottom line if you happen to stumble into this place, buy a cup of coffee and enjoy it as you drive somewhere else for your cupcake.

You know how there are factories in the movies that are magical like Willy Wonka's, Edward Scissorhands or even the beer factory in Strange Brew? And then you know the factories in real life like the toyota plant that only makes 1 kind of car or the soap company that only makes dishwashing liquid that make you remember how boring factories are in reality? Well The Cupcake Factory was probably even a bigger let down than the time my parents made me tour the Ivory Soap factory because at least with the soap factory we got free samples and a cute paper hat to wear around. I get that we're in a recession, but I walked into a large bakery with maybe a total of 40 items in the case (that's pieces, not variety) and didn't see a single cupcake that wasn't porcelain. So I asked if they had cupcakes and they responded "Yes. We have white and chocolate." Wow! White AND chocolate??? I'm sorry, but I believe that if your establishment is called "The Cupcake Factory" that a main part of your business should deal with cupcakes. I don't open a store called "Baseball crazy" and sell 99% leotards and 1% wooden baseball bats. Hell - at least offer more than 2 flavors - maybe a marble or a butter pecan thrown in here or there. I mean, this guy runs his business out of a truck, doesn't use the word "factory" and buries this place in terms of selection. cupcakestop.com I don't see how you can name your establishment after something you have very little of. I would, however, accept the name "Some Rice Krispie treats, a couple cookies and 2 kinds of cupcakes." So, Cupcake Factory - unless you start handing out cute paper hats - I'm hitting up Kroger where cupcakes come in special cupcake-holding containers and are available even at 4am.
