The sign says "Asian Buffet," but Asian, American, German, Italian, Mexican Buffet would be more fitting. That is quite a mouth full, so I guess they went with what they predominantly serve. Never have I been to an Asian Buffet with so many nonAsian items. Nothing tasted quite right. I know sauces differ by manufacture, but everything I tried tasted off. My husband had the same thought. The Mongolian BBQ/ grill had an odd smell to it. It could be smelled by others across the table. I love buffets for the versatility. This is the first time I left one still HUNGRY. We will not be returning to this one.

Food is good but not as good asx when they first opened up Hibachi grill not as seasoned and as good as before and they now have crab legs on certain nights now and not everynight anymore which sucks and when they do bring the crab legs out you have people that have been lurking, waiting, creeping, sneaking around for hours to snatch them all up before anyone else gets them.

Not bad, if the following things are ok: Men's room bathroom stall door had vulgarities and other obscene pictures, some of which were dated from almost three years ago (do they not care enough about their restrooms to make them decent after...say...3 years?); one of the servers dumped a large bin of clean silverware onto a table to sort and prepare them; potstickers were cold; and no sprinkles for the ice cream. The last one, granted, may be nitpicking, but this place is fairly middle of the road. Underwhelming. Proceed with caution.

Ok, we used to go here once a month or so, but after our last visit, NEVER AGAIN! I went to get sweet and sour sauce for the chicken and there was a large bug floating in the sauce. It wasn't a fly, it was larger than that, not as large as cockroach, but maybe close in species. As I stood there stunned, a woman that was replentishing the food came over, stuck the ladel in, scooped out the bug into one of her empty food containers, put the ladel back and gave it a mix. They never replaced the sauce. Needless to say we will not be back. After we left we even called the health department to let them know. If you decide to give it a try, just check your food first....

This place is so good. It has the best sushi it's to die for. Lots of different choices on foods. This is my favorite Chinese buffet out of any buffet I've been to so far.

I'm not terribly impressed. They had a few good items, but what I got was some seafood dishes below safe serving temperature, or pretty lackluster in seasoning. The sushi lacked in presentation, fairly loosely rolled.

This is an excellent buffet. Very well stocked with just about anything you'd want. The sushi is good, and there's a grill I've never taken advantage of since there is so much else to choose from. Their crab rangoons are the ugliest little things that are the BEST tasting!! so good I have a few on each plate and generally just that for dessert.

This place used to be 5+ stars in my book. It was my favorite place around for a Chinese buffet and I would have defended the place until I my face turned blue if anyone tried to argue. I moved away for 2 years, and came back hoping for the same amazing food I always loved, and was disappointed. The food was incredibly greasy, and just not up to the same standards that I fell in love with years ago. I'm still giving them 4 stars because I still like them, but I'm teetering on that extra star. They have several different types of food, and a sushi bar, but the last time I went in the sushi just didn't look appealing either. I was afraid to try it in case it had been out for awhile. I will still go back here and give it one final shot, but if it's not much better than the past two times, I may just pass on it all together. Maybe I headed in both times recently after the lunch rush? I'll have to try it again for dinner one night, and see if I can bump it back up a star.

Biggest fresh selection buffet I've been too for a Chinese buffet. I went here with my girlfriend Toey and her friend Nicky and my friend John. I was very skeptical on Chinese Buffett. There are usually dried out or over cooked. So I started with the big beef braised...sensational broth. My girlfriend asked me to try egg plant, which usually not my favorite. Wow it was great and fresh. I never give a 4 star especially a Chinese buffet, but in this case, I am. It's one of the best I've had in a long time. I will make another special trip up here for lunch.

When you see the building you think "this should be good", but then you notice there are no cars in the lot. Upon entering you are seated at a table amid 1980's "chinese" decor. On the day I tried it, the dining area had a strange smell I can only compare to the inside of my mechanics garage. The food itself is a mix of chinese, mexican, italian, and whatever they decided to serve that day. It was all poor imitations of actual food. The chinese food was hard, stale, and tasted off. The rice was like small bullets, and the noodles had dried out. You could actually see employees coming over and trying to re-hydrate the noodles on the buffet. The chicken I tried was a dark gray on the inside, and very chewy. The crab seemed like it had been boiled for hours on end, and the shell was so soft you could break it with your finger nails. The staff seemed bored, and not interested in being there. I was not brave enough to try the sushi, and after I left I am glad I did not. This place gave me the worst stomach pains I have had from food in a long time. I am going to err on the side of self preservation and not go back. I advise you, skip this place. Go anywhere else. You can get the same effects as this meal at home by chugging cleaning liquids.

The food was terrible. I had food from both the grill and buffet. The grill good had absolutely no flavor even after adding sauce and the crab meat tasted spoiled. The food on the buffet was even worse. Though it was very busy one would think the food would be hot on the buffet. For the most part it was either luke-warm or cold. It was over cooked and very greasy. I would not recommend to my worst enemy. I will never go back!

My wife and I was in the area after a short Christmas shopping stint at the Bass Pro Shop and it was dinner time. We had noticed this restaurant several days before during our initial visit to the area however, the parking lot did not show many cars so we passed it by then. Tonight however, the lot was full and the restaurant seemed very busy - perhaps because it was a Friday night? Regardless, we decided to give it a shot. The restaurant is similar to many in it genre, with the same type of decor and such. One of the things I did notice was how well lit the restaurant was. After being showed to out seat fairly quickly, we checked out the buffet area. There were 6 individual stations in the middle of the restaurant. 2 filled with desserts and appetizers and the remaining 4 filled with other main dishes like General Tso's, Crab Legs, Butter Shrimp and some western foods like pot roast, mashed potatoes and the like. Off to the side they also had a mini sushi bar that had a sushi chef continuously making sushi and keeping the food stocked much like all the other dishes. Next to it was a Mongolian BBQ-type section where you would pick and place on your plate all the raw ingredients like noodles, vegetables, meat and a chef would stir fry it all for you - there and then... no additional charge. The food was great. Dishes were hot and tasty. The waitress were always hovering nearby to clear your emptied dishes and refill your drinks. Definitely worth the stop and if only we had known earlier, we would have stopped the previous day as well. For the 2 of us and including water and hot tea for drinks, the total came up to be $21.28 for dinner. Great place for dinner whether you are on a budget or not.

My husband and I ABSOLUTELY love Asian Buffet!! Food is tasty, hot, fresh. They have a nice variety of Asian and American foods. The sushi is always fresh and tasty. We have tried other Asian/Chinese buffets -- but always come back to Asian Buffet. They are the best!! Service is great also, friendly , helpful.

This Asian buffet's grand opening was Nov. 11,2009, it replaced another restaurant. The Buffet is one of the largest we have visited and well stocked. It has the typical soup, sushi rolls, seafood etc. The buffet for two with soft drinks was about $25.

This place is really good especially if you do the Mongollian grill. The crab legs have been really scarce lately like the other reviewers said. Their sushi is really good and so is their pepper chicken. We go there all the time but that's because my husband loves this place.

Food selection was a little scarce but what they had was decent. The fourth star is for the service. The servers are courteous and really nice. Asian chocolate pudding is the bomb dot com.

Some nights, you and your S.O. want a fine dining experience with gourmet food and a meticulously-trained wait staff. And sometimes you want to go to the Chinese buffet and feed your face hole until you're undoing that top button on your jeans and nodding off at the table. And don't act like you don't know exactly what I'm talking about. #murica. Asian Buffet is here to fulfill all your fondest Chinese American buffet dreams. Massive quantities of mediocre food that may or may not have you running to the John all through the night. It's great for carb loading before you hit the bar, not so great if you're on a diet. Good thing you've already broken your Lent and New Years resolutions ;) Everything, from the cheesy decor to the misspelled labels on the buffet, all the way down to the requisite soft serve machine, smacks of "The Chinese Buffet" that we all know and love. If that's your jam, go check it out. If it's not, don't. But take it for what it is and don't judge!

When visiting Cincinnati, I have usually stuck with LaRosa's coming to my door. Old reliable. Lately I've tried a few different places, but have stuck with chains. Today I felt adventurous and extra hungry, so I tried the Asian Buffet. It is a buffet, and there is asian food there. This is true. There is also macaroni and cheese, something claiming to be roast beef, cold cheese sticks, and pizza that looked more scary than appetizing. To be clear, I tend to stick with what I know, and I usually go for the simple things. In most buffets, if it's chicken, I'll probably eat it. Most buffets I go to have a pretty nice variety. This place only had the chicken for the sweet and sour, chicken on a stick, and General Tso. The chicken on a stick wasn't bad, but not as good as others I've had. The biggest mistakes of the evening were the cheese sticks (cold) and the brownie (horrible). For me to call a brownie horrible is huge! I never met a brownie I didn't like. Until tonight. The next time I've got an extra large appetite, I'll look around, and maybe even try Golden Corral again. This place isn't horrible, but I definitely won't be back.

I wanted to like this location as much as I used to like it, but telling you it is as good as it once was would be disingenuous. The food is more overcooked, less diverse, and more Americanized than even a year or so ago. That is a genuine shame. There is a very comparable location of this restaurant in the Dayton area off Miller Lane (off I-75 near I-70). Thankfully, I have been to that restaurant in the recent past and the quality and variety has remained pretty interesting. This location off Gilmore near the decaying Cincinnati "whatever we're called these days" (Forest Fair / Mills / Flavor of the Month) Mall matches its counterpart. All that being said, I still rate it average, although 2.5 stars would be more fitting. The food is passable, just generally bland. On the plus side, the price won't break your bank, empty your wallet, or leave you hungry as long as you like average (but not great) sushi, a wide range of fried items, and a respectable Hibachi grill. $10.99 is just about the top end I'd spend for what you get here; there are better choices around if you are willing to drive a little farther.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
