Well, driving through Defiance on my way to southern Indiana I stopped here because I had a craving for sushi and it has great reviews. I'll start w the standard salad.. It's fresh and cold, carefully cut and plated so it was a pleasure to eat :) however the ginger dressing IS a bit too mayonnaisey for my taste. The Miso soup has a good flavor but it's not the best one I've ever had, tastes a bit watered down actually. I ordered 10 assorted pieces of sushi and a California roll, and I was pleased with the quality of the fish and how well it came presented. I think the rice had a decent flavor and the fish was well cut :) the California roll however was only average. I think I will to a tuna roll or something with eel next time. Overall the ambience is comfortable and clean, and the food is ok, so I'll be likely to return if I find myself around here again and it's lunch time. :)

Got steak and shrimp hibachi which was really good. The steak wasn't really medium like I ordered, but it still tasted good. I was there by myself watching the bachelor, so it was a little depressing. Other than that, nice place.

This place, is magnificent. Beautiful decor, feels like a swanky high end sushi place that should cost you $$$ But it's more like yelp's $$. This place is relatively cheap compared to the other sushi options in Toledo. This sushi blows all the Chinese buffet's attempts at sushi out of the water and beyond. I have heard that there are much better places than this, but I personally really haven't felt that way. To me, this place is top notch sushi and I feel that it's just as high quality as the sushi I've eaten in NYC. The menu has a lot of options. If you really like sushi, I feel you will fill up on just that without the hibachi and bento options. My boyfriend and I used to always order the bento boxes and hibachi grill, but when we'd add sushi our bills were fairly large. As of recently, we've been eating at the sushi bar and just ordering plate by plate trying various sushi/sashimi. After a few orders we're done and our bills are are a little lighter than before, but not by much. Yes, sushi is very expensive but you're not going to get quality sushi if you cheap out on it. Quality is perfect and the prices are pricey but it's the cheapest you're getting when you compare it to driving all the way down to Toledo and shelling nearly $90-$100+ per person for a couple plates sushi if not more. One thing I'd like to see, and I know they are working on it, is for this place to get a liquor license. This place would just be even better if they had sake and wines/beers. Especially Sake. Try this place out and you shouldn't be disappointed.

Love the food here!!! The service is excellent too! I usually get an AAC roll and Veggie Udon Noodle Soup and of course their hot tea!!! I'm glad we have this option of food in Defiance!

My wife and I ate here at 2:00 on a Friday afternoon. We had green tea, miso soup and 3 sushi rolls (Philadelphia, monkey and playboy). Everything was excellent, but we liked the playboy best. Prices were good, service was above average and the decor was nice. The dining room is small and would be better without the TV.

Okay, it's awesome to have a place like this in Defiance, we've been waiting! The sushi is very good. Is it top level, knock your socks off sushi? Not quite. Ideally I would go 4 and a half stars...but that's not an option. :P The rice, every time we've had it, has been cooked perfectly. The fish is good quality, and overall, the rolls look well made (clean roll, pretty even amounts of rice and other ingredients, etc). The price is also what really makes it. Some of the rolls are 4 to 6 bucks...that's super good! Especially for how good they taste and are made. Me and my fiancé do sushi all the time. We've had to drive to Toledo or Fort Wayne at the least distance for that in the past. Honestly, this place will save us gas money...because it's solid sushi, and better priced than the places we've found in those areas. The other food we've had has been good too. My fiancé does the Bento box and has really enjoyed them. Haven't tried the hibachi menu yet...but that's next on the list! Thanks for bringing more good food to Defiance!

Very good! Small town oriental food is usually scary, but they have great food! Sushi is fresh and love the miso. My favorite place to eat in town.

Party of 5 with reservation, seated promptly. Good service! Excellent and extensive menu....something for everybody. No alcohol available, liquor license pending. Edamame appetizer very good. Entrees good: salmon bento box, shrimp hibachi very good. generous portions. Filet mignon was chewy. Sashimi and California roll were amazing. Desserts:fried ice cream and chocolate ice cream recommended. We will return again!!
