Could be cool, but it's terrible. I've tried this place twice because I so badly wanted to like it. The service is rude, the covers are outrageous, and the general vibes are weird. They don't charge people consistently for the same drinks and my bill was outrageous. They couldn't explain to me how they came up with their total either. Not going back.

This place kinda sucks. Maybe I'm coming on the wrong nights...just irritating overall. I heard about the hookah here and asked about it. $20 freaking dollars with a $20 deposit? Screw you guys! Therapy cafe can go stuff themselves...where the heck do you guys get off trying to charge that much for a few ounces of shisha. At most, you'll be using about 50 cents worth of tobacco and a nickel's worth of charcoal. Also, came here another night (Thursday) and there were about 10 people and a dude on stage rapping. Who the fuck wants to be here for that shit? Karaoke bullshit.

Good spot for a dance party. Volume house music nights will keep me coming back to Dayton. Bartenders were quick and the sound is good. Lots of dance space. A+ in my book.

I've been here once. I like the idea of it a lot. The execution doesn't seem to work quite right. The decor isn't right. The drink list is cute. My drink didn't taste quite how I expected. Just a strange experience. I still had fun, but it was the company I was with more so than the place.

Just left this place. Was visiting a friend at the cannery lofts and on the way out one of our friends noticed they were still serving food. I didn't want to go in, but someone who appeared to be a manager told is if we went in to eat, there was no cover, so our group of four decided to go there. I didn't want to go in because I used to live in The Cannery and had a few bad instances here (shooting outside the door while I lived there; a bouncer tried to fight me because I came to pick up carry out food in gym shorts after they advertised to Cannery residents for pickup food "in your pajamas", and their "Argentine steak sandwich with chimicurri sauce" was a steak-um sandwich with Italian dressing; asked for a "Crown Royal" and was told they "only have Crown.") We each ordered the same thing: grilled chicken fingers with four different sauces. She said she couldn't place the order until we paid (up front), so we did. We asked for waters and she brought us one water for the four of us and didn't come back for about forty five minutes. We caught her finally and asked about the food, she said that our food was next out. We saw them bring orders out to other people, plus the chefs were just standing by the bar taking to people. I would have left except I had already paid (very smart of them). After an hour, she brought us three orders of chicken fingers. Not four. She apologized. We asked for waters and she said we normally have to go to the bar for drinks but she'd bring us some water. She brought us three waters. Not four. She told us the fourth order was on its way out next. We saw other orders coming out before ours. After a bit we started splitting the three orders between the four of us. Half way through our meal she still hadn't brought us silverware or napkins. I had to go pull her aside and ask, she BROUGHT US THREE. It was actually infuriating at this point. Why could she not handle four things at once??? None of the silverware sets had a knife and we had twelve chicken breasts on the table. Definitely could have used a knife. She finally brought the fourth order out. She was sorry (not sorry). We split it and it was gone quickly. We left right away. On the way out, I had my bicycle parked out front, and the bouncers had a good laugh at me for riding a bike, and encouraged several patrons standing out front to do the same. These are the same bouncers that tried to fight me for no reason when I lived above the bar. F this place.

Karaoke = BOOOO. This is a desperate entertainment move for a place that shouldn't need it. I've been to the bar when it's NOT totally empty and when they DON'T have some amateur howling his lungs out in an vacant space (turn the volume up to 11). It was a pretty good bar back then. Maybe this was a once-a-week thing or a night-before-a-major-holiday thing. If so, it's still a terrible idea.

This is a great spot to grab a drink with friends. They have music during the week and Karaoke on Thursdays (you'll usually spot me there). I love the group of people you'll seem to always run into there and I love thei drinks. Don't get the wrong idea by "cafe". It's a really good bar. =] enjoy!
