Great pizza toppings. Soft hand tossed crust and beer on tap. Well played Z pizza.

This place is great. The pizza crust is healthy and taste delicious and it is not as greasy as what most pizzas tend to be. The toppings that you can get here are excellent. The Chicken sausage is out of this world.. When I go here I love to get the Chicken Sausage with Pepperoni and it is great. The service is pretty good and the area that it is located is quite quaint. Definitely should be one of the staples of Columbus, Ohio

This pizza is amazing! I love the Tuscan and the Casablanca; both are very delicious.

this is chain pizza that you won't realize is chain pizza. yuppie pizza. yuppizza. Yeah, I sometimes get carried away with portmanteaus. We got the tuscan when we stopped in, which is a white pizza with garlic sauce, topped with mushrooms and onions. I remember it was tasty, even for a white pizza. To me, pizza should have red sauce or it's just cheesy garlic bread, right? right. well, I have to say this white pizza deserved to be called pizza. I am interested to try their red sauced pizza... that's the true pizza test to me.

Awesome!! Had the pear and Gorgonzola rustica pizza, amazing. Definitely coming back.

Z Pizza's emphasis on "today's health conscious consumer" and "a healthy way of life" is a little off-putting. After all, it's pizza. It's nice that your ingredients are fresh and of high quality, but let's not kid ourselves. It feels about as creepy and disingenuous as all of those frozen yogurt shops touting the health benefits of their product. That said, this Z Pizza location makes a decent enough pie. I've tried a few of their rustica pizzas -- one pizza, cut into eight slices, is enough for a medium-sized meal -- and they're not too bad. The thin and irregularly shaped crust is tasty enough, a bit crunchy with a solid hint of char. And while the chicken sausage, marinara sauce, mozzarella, and arugula option is pretty good, my favorite is the pear, gorgonzola, mozzarella, and thyme. Each rustica pizza will run you $8.95, which isn't unreasonable. But although the pizza toppings here show some creativity, the modern decor does not. The restaurant itself is clean and brightly lit, but it's about as generic-looking as you can get, with lots of open and wasted space. I'm not sure how crowded this place gets, but it was dead during our dinnertime visit on a weeknight.

We stopped in on a Tuesday and had their buy-one-get-one-$2 special. We ordered the margherita on wheat crust, which was not terribly wheat-y and would be easy to pass off to someone weary of it, and the veggie on regular crust. Both were good renditions of classics, with a nice amount of toppings and the tasty fire-baked texture. The space is nice and open and modern, and the music on that particular day was awesome. I'd like to go back and try a salad and another pizza.

This place is actually huge inside. At least way bigger than it looks outside! Some art on the walls, a tv or two, and a little corner near the front window where you can sit on couches and play some of their games (jenga, etc.). Got the ZBQ and chicken sausage rustica as part of the tuesday buy-one-get-one for $2 deal. My boyfriend loved the ZBQ. He said it was full of flavor. I really enjoyed my chicken sausage rustica as well, I wasn't even that hungry and I ate half of it! I wasn't a huge fan of the crust, it didn't really have any flavor to me and just tasted like I was eating crunchy air. But everything else was delicious. I also thought this was a local pizza place, but upon reading the "story" on the inside of the boxes, it actually is a chain that originated in Laguna Beach. Yup. Oh well, it's still ok in my book and the tuesday special is awesome!

I'd like to rate zpizza higher, as I like their philosophy of fresh, local ingredients and attempts at being more healthy. That being said, I wasn't impressed. I had a salad, which was just average. My bf had a slice, which was equally "meh." There were a number of flies buzzing around, and staff seemed a bit confused, though it wasn't that busy.

Z Pizza needs to be outed. This is not healthy food. One teeny-tiny slice of their traditional style pizzas has between 350 and a heart-stopping 680mg of sodium. That's per slice. A whole "personal" small pie (6 slices) easily has between 2100 and 4080mg of sodium. That's more than a person needs in a whole day...much less one meal. Get a nice "fresh" Greek salad to go with that, and add another 1140 mg. For comparison, the also local, much fresher pizza franchise Mama Mimi's has between 400 and 850 mg per slice, which is 1/8 of large pizza, so a significantly bigger portion. I take strong issue with their deceptive advertising, but perhaps the even bigger problem is that there is no reason for this disgusting high sodium content. Z Pizza needs to take some serious corrective action and actually put their money where their mouth is.

Love the crust and the pizzas are so unique. I got the ZBq which was very yummy. There are so many different toppings if you want to make your own pizza, which I might do in the future. The beers on tap are very good as well. My boyfriend loves Bell's Two-Hearted so when he can find it on tap at a restaurant, he's a happy camper. Service was great. A customer accidently dropped half of a medium pizza on the floor and everybody gasped. Someone exclaimed, "Five second rule!" (That's how awesome the pizzas are.) Of course, they didn't end up eating that, but the staff offered to make another pizza (a small) for them for free! That is so cool! It was pretty empty when I went, could definitely use some more business...you should go and try it out!

Awesome. I got the gluten-free crust; my boyfriend and I both liked it. It was a bit saggy in the middle, but nicely crisp otherwise. I thought the sausage topping was skimpy (average of 2.5 bits of sausage per slice, on a large pizza), hence -1 star. Otherwise, good pizza, with yummy options for building your own combo. And yay for the couches in the front.

This was my first time ordering from z pizza. I tried them because they have a gluten free crust that got good reviews on a gf site I trust. They are also the only pizza place other than Donatos that deliver downtown. The pizza was delivered within 25 minutes and the driver was nice. The pizza was ok. I didn't care for the crust, and it was VERY expensive, over 23$. It was very thin and a bit chewy. You could tell it was frozen. There was a lot of cheese on the pizza, but the other toppings were sparse and didn't come within 2 inches of the outer crust. It tasted ok, better than a frozen pizza from the store, but for the $26.00 (including delivery fee, tax and tip) it was a complete fail. I'll keep searching for a good gluten free pizza in Columbus.

A nice stop for lunch or dinner. You can get a larger pizza if you want a traditionally-sized pizza, or a small if you want a perfect individual-sized pizza. The menu has several delicious pizza combinations, or you can make your own. They have a number of healthy toppings and you can get wheat or gluten-free crust. Probably the best option around for pizza on the lighter side. The workers are friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. The pizza is reasonably priced. Overall, pretty solid.

Already was a fan of Z's great pizza and salads... and I just tried they're new chicken wings. Total hit! They hormone-free and skillet baked - totally delicious. Def recommend!

I love Z Pizza! My friend Lisa introduced me to them one Tuesday evening and I was blown away! I love all their different ingredients and I love how fresh everything is! They have some pretty amazing pizzas. I love their Margarita pizza. On Tuesday they have an amazing offer where if you buy one pizza, you get a second pizza (same size) at half-price. It's such a great deal too! It feeds me for a few days when I get the XL 'zas! Z Pizza is a cool place and their employees are very friendly and, well, cool! I love their toppings, and all of their organic goods! I highly recommend trying them at least once, and with some friends on a Tuesday!

I am all for gluten free pizza - and Z Pizza has it! They have interesting pizza toppings and combinations (not just your standard pepperoni/mushroom or Hawaiian). In fact, I didn't realize this was a chain until reading some of the other reviews on here. Things I approve of: quality ingredients, speed of pizza prep and friendly/helpfulness of staff Things I am ambivalent about: the decor - I realize it's a chain, but the food is so good, I'd prefer to not eat it in a cafeteria-style setting Things I'd like to see: gluten free pizza in more than just a small (maybe it's a technical issue, as GF crusts don't hold together all that well) and no extra charge for gluten free crust

Went there for dinner on a Thursday night. Got the Thai pizza and thoroughly enjoyed it. This is how pizza is supposed to be: light, flavorful and quality ingredients. Bonus points for having decent beer on tap at a reasonable price. I was surprised how big the place is on the inside, and the high ceilings and open floorplan make the place seem huge. There was plenty of seating and our pizza was out to us quickly. ZPizza might not have the atmosphere that some of the other restaurants do in Short North, but it's a great place to go get a pizza and a beer.

I can't believe I've been yelping for however long, living right by zpizza for however long, and haven't written a review about them yet. I LOVE this place. They have some of the most interesting pizzas I've ever tried (try the Tuscan or Thai!). Both the crust and the tomato sauce are made with entirely organic ingredients. The rest of the ingredients are high quality as well, although I'm not sure if they are organic or not. The service is typically outstanding. The prices are sometimes average and sometimes downright cheap. On Monday from 4-8 they have $1 slices of cheese and $2 slices of pepperoni (meat tax!!!). Nowhere offers slices that cheap, and places that come close (Flying Pizza, Catfish Biff's, that place in North Market) do NOT use the quality of ingredients that zpizza uses. Therefore, this is the highest quality slice of pizza you can possibly buy for one dollar. On Tuesdays they have a buy one get one deal. I can't recall if it runs during happy hour like the slice deal or if it's an all day promotion. Even when they aren't running a special slices are only $2.50. Again, that's the same as Catfish Biff's and only slightly more than Flying Pizza, but with better ingredients than either. When a special isn't running I usually get the Napoli (roasted garlic sauce, fresh mozza, tomatoes and basil, and parmesan). Every once in a while they do slices of the Provence (organic tomato sauce, roasted garlic sauce, mozza, artichoke hearts, capers [YUM!], tomatoes and basil) as well, which is equally scrumptious. Plus they serve beer. Plus there are a bunch of board games in the loungey-type couch area. Plus they have wifi. This place is one of the primary reasons I'm having such difficulty giving up dairy. Again, I LOVE this place. addendum 10/17/09 - I forgot to mention that they carry a vegan meat substitute you can get instead of meat on any pizza. I don't believe it's listed, but it is available. I get it on my thai.

I was excited about going to Z Pizza and hoping my husband a meat and real pizza lover and my son would like it as well. I had to get my own pizza with whole wheat crust, pesto and a bunch of veggies while the guys got a huge meaty, cheesy one. I also had the arugula salad. Both were out of this world good! Sure it costs a tiny biit more than your average pizza, but they often have coupons in the paper, online or go for tuesdays BOGO offer! The staff is very nice, the place is clean and they have a bunch of boardgames to play while you wait. Everything was so fresh and tasty I will definetly be going back!

Looking for some pizza, but want a slightly healthier option? Or maybe some interesting toppings? Z Pizza is the place you need to go! Pizza is available by the slice or pie. By the slice selections are pretty standard (cheese, pepperoni, sometimes Margherita or Tuscan), but there are interesting selections to order from the menu if you want a whole pizza. The Mexican and Santa Fe pizzas are my favorite. The Mexican has avocado. Avocado! On a pizza! Every pizza is available with a white or wheat crust, and there are vegan, as well as gluten free options. The restaurant is pretty big, and it's easy to get groups of 4+ together, which is kind of a big deal for the Short North, right? I hear there are very good deals to be had Mondays and Tuesdays. If I'm not mistaken there is a happy hour as well. In the winter Z Pizza had GLBC Christmas Ale, and that's always a way to know that a location is awesome.

Short review: It's all fresh. Too pricey for your daily lunch, but perfect for a filling meal with friends! Long review: A friend had been raving for days about Zpizza and finally got the time to take me. Visually the place makes a point of being contemporary. Wide space, long strips of clay tones, think a muted Pinkberry. The only distracting element was a chaotic jumble of "artsy" celebrity portraits for sale on one wall. I bite my tongue, though, this is about the food. The delicious, yummy food. Both my friend and I ordered a small "build-your-own," she something catering to her vegan needs, and me something wacky. I think the combination was wheat crust with tomato sauce, soy cheese (had to try it), pepperoni, red peppers, basil, and oregano. Drinks were a selection of glass bottle sodas ("mexicoke" and friends) as well as a standard soda fountain. Our pizzas were prepared in a timely fashion, surprisingly not drenched in grease. The "cheese," especially, shocked me. What I had thought would be shiny tofu squares mixed in with all the rest turned out to have all the awesome melty qualities of real cheese! The pepperoni was fine, peppers nice and snappy, but what really got me were the fresh spices. True basil leaves, green and aromatic, were on my pizza. This freshness is sorely missing from American restaurants, and I had to ask my friend a couple to times to pause our conversation so that I could savor it. Really, just exquisite.

Is it ironic that I have to come to Colombus Ohio to eat here when I was just in Laguna Beach (where this place started) a few weeks ago for the Counter. I've never rated it from my visits in the past, but now is as good a time as any! It reminds me of California Pizza Kitchen for a bit cheaper, with some very similar items and the option to have wheat or gluten-free crust. Tonight, my love comes from the fact that it delivers for $1.50, which was a lifesaver after walking for 10 minutes in the rain with my son in a stroller around downtown (we're near the convention center) in search for a place to eat while my hubs is at a pre-interview dinner. Awesome that they delivered - though they made me spend $15 minimum, I ordered a salad for lunch tomorrow and given the constraints the rain and my son (Bar Louie didn't seem to make sense when it said "seat yourself" even though the menu looked pretty good), that seemed like money well spent! On the plus side... the delivery person (a nice looking unthreatening dark rimmed glasses young fella) was very patient as I stumbled around our room trying to get the money, not wake up my son and ran back to see him on his stomach and nanoseconds from falling off the bed. And, the quoted time of 45 minutes was spot on. I'm a fan and guess I will be going back when I'm in the OC next.

I tried the Zpizza near UCSD, and I was impressed enough to wish they had a restaurant in my community. Why do so few places offer whole wheat (or even partially whole wheat, as I strongly suspect this is) crust? I would give them 5 stars if they would use less salt in their pizzas and salads.

Based on countless visits, this is my favorite pizza place in Columbus. I am not a pizza connoisseur and definitely like other pizza places around town but I always find Z Pizza a great place to stop during a visit to the Short North, especially on Tuesday nights! On Tuesday night the deal is buy one pizza and get the second for $2 (equal/lesser of course) For a minute forget about the great deal...this pizza is delicious! Even if Z pizza didn't offer a single deal for the rest of eternity, I'd still go. Bonus, it's organic pizza, organic means no calorie, right? The premise is simple, pick your size, crust and toppings. Easy as...pie. However, the nice people at Z Pizza were gracious enough to put together some specialty pizzas on the menu. For quite some time I was on a mission to try each of the specialty pizzas. But, mission aborted when I tried the Tuscan: roasted garlic sauce, mozzarella, tons of mushrooms, truffle oil and thyme...addicted! So, the new plan was to always get the Tuscan and take advantage of the $2 Tuesday pizza deal to try a new kind of pizza. Again, plan thwarted when I tried the Napoli: roasted garlic sauce, mozzarella, tomatoes and basil...heaven! So now inevitably I always either get the Tuscan or Napoli. Or both on a Tuesday! There are plenty of other pizzas that are also quite delish. I like the Mexican and the Berkley Vegan (despite not being vegan). I was slightly skeptical of the Daiya vegan cheese but was very surprised at how real cheese-like it is, a pretty decent flavor too. And then there are times I just want a nice slice of cheese pizza. Everything else just comes together really well, great location, nice employees, yummy pizza, good beverage options (beer, pop, PBR). Someday I want to try a salad or even a sandwich, if I can be tempted to stray from the Tuscan and Napoli.

The service sucked. Some couple waited so long for their food they askes for their money back and walked out. The pepperoni pizza waste tasteless and boring. The zbq pizza was pretty good but wasn't worth the price. I understand they use healthier ingredients but I need for my pizza to have flavor.

I haven't had a bad experience with Z Pizza yet. Granted, I've only had take-out from them 2 or 3 times, but it's always been quickly prepared and tasty. The salads have great ingredients and so do the pizzas. I respect what they are trying to do, but I do find the prices a bit steep at times.

I really like the feel of this place, but the staff doesn't seem to care much. My most recent visit involved a mistake made by the staff who didn't seem to care and seemed annoyed that I was bothering them about it even though it was a really slow night wit like 3 people standing around.

I've been waiting for Z Pizza to open for awhile now. I've walked by regularly watching the place take form. This morning I happened to notice that it seemed open. I walked in and was greeted by about ten Z Pizza employees. "How long have you been open?" "Today". Great. There was no apparent grand opening. But there was a general mood of excitement among the staff. I ordered a slice of Mediterranean pizza, a slice of Tuscan, and 20 oz. drink for about $6.50. I sat down at a table in the large, high ceilinged dining area and dug in. I ordered two slices from the revolving case...pre-made. And it was apparent as I started to eat. A little dry...but still really good. The Mediterrenean was topped with the usual black olives/feta, etc. that you would expect. The Santa Fe, however, was especially good. Red onions, spicy sausage, corn, cilantro, etc. My obvious mistake was that I didn't order a fresh pizza. But I wasn't into waiting, so the sacrifice was worth it. Overall, I can see myself stopping back by. One other key element: they deliver.

Delish. Stubbled into this place while waiting to get into North Star Cafe. I decided to give it a try. It has a NY vibe to it. Cheesy, gooey, and hand toss crust. LOTS of flavor. I was not disappointed at all. I also got one of their strawberry/nut salads. Probably one of the best salads I had considering this was a pizza shop. So good.

Before it became popular, I was crossing my fingers and hoping that this place would not shut down. This is one of the few places in the area that serves pretty good food and did not (then) have a crowd. It is very neat and clean (unlike many pizzerias) and has ample seating - tables, booths, and even a couple of hipster couches to gaze at the other hipsters outside. They have a wide range of pizzas and while not each can be called a success, they do hold up They also have the regulars - so all ye hardcore pie lovers don't have to fuss. I liked the California and the Sante Fe, but was not crazy about something else that might suit others' fancy. They have salads and sandwiches too, but goddamn I was not walking into a pizza place and ordering those. The ingredients are supposed to be organic and healthy but I could not tell - which is a good thing I suppose! They now serve beers as well, which is such a bonus. The slices are reasonably priced but single pies are not that cheap unless with specials. This place is a good stop for some fast and decent grub when you are wandering or hopping in the Shorth North.

Wow! Very sold on Z... been looking for great pizza since getting back from living in San Francisco and glad that Columbus has gone beyond Adriatico's since being away. Z Pizza is so far one of the best, although it's hard to argue with the old & faithful Hound Dog's (especially when it's 3am; doubly-especially when you live 1 block from them). We're only getting their vegetarian flavors so I can't say anything for the meat, and it's a great thing now that they're in (and delivering reliably to) Clintonville! Excellent Z; looking forward to more...

If 3.5 was a choice I would have gone with that. Z Pizza was where me and my boyfriend ended up on Gallery Hop this past Saturday when The Rossi was too busy, but he still wanted pizza. It was our first time there. I'd heard mixed stuff about it, but nothing bad. It was not to crowded, but not dead...perfect! I like the counter order/table service combo. The docor was cafeteria like in some ways, but comfortable in others. I wasn't bothered by it, but wasn't into hanging out all day there. We got a large Santa Fe pizza after trying to decide if we should just get pepperoni, build our own, or go balls-to-the wall...We were feeling balsy! Santa Fe it was, chipotle pesto Yum), corn (yum), onion (yum) cilantro (yum) and chicken sausage (gross looking, but overall yum! The combination of these ingredients was inventive and delish albiet very greesy (i used like 20 napkins)! I loved the corn on the pizza and want to try it again in another way. The crust was pretty good, nice and thin crispy edge with a chewy base and good flavor. My boyfriend didn't really like it beyond the first piece, the flavors were a little overwhelming for him (should have just stuck him with pepperoni I think.) But, lucky for me, it left me with more of this yummy pizza to eat. It came to the table super hot, a plus! It was almost too hot to get off the tray and I said aloud (not just in my head) that they should realy serve the pizzas with a lifting device because in the end between my wimpy princess fingers and the elevation of the pizza, I made a bit of a mess. I liked Z Pizza and would eat there again, but it's not the best, not the cheapest, not my first choice. If i was in the SN again looking for pizza with no waiting, I'd def give it another go, pepperoni next time...just so everyone's a happy camper. Side note: not sure about this, but it seemed like the pizza by the slice was a little diiferent from the full order pies. (thicker, bigger pieces) They had some by-the-slice deals, and apparently haved a second pizza for $2 tuesdays (a Great deal!). If you have an SBB (small business bean stalk) card M-Th you get $3 off a L or XL pizza OR free delivery!

Their gluten-free pizza is actually pretty good, as long as you're not picky about having flour in the air and so on. It's a little pricey, but I actually think it's worth it. It's not just a cheap replacement for pizza crust... their gluten-free crust actually tastes good.

I "forgot" to pack my lunch today and had to go to Z Pizza to sustain myself. After months of watching its renovations - painters on stilts, draped cloths covering the open doorway - I was so excited to give Z Pizza a try. I glanced at the menu online then trotted down with a preconceived order in mind: a slice of the Berkley Soy Cheese Veggie (pesto, soy cheese, veggie burger crumbles, zucchini, tomatoes, mushrooms, red onions, bell peppers) and a slice of the Moroccan (basil pesto, mozzarella, roasted eggplant, feta cheese, caramelized onions, and pine nuts). The restaurant itself was fresh and clean with brightly painted green, red, and yellow walls and veggie art. I'd heard that Z Pizza was a by-the-slice facility. I was disappointed to see that they only had four varieties ready-made. Altogether, they had just enough slices to fill two large pizza boxes, swirling around in a heat-lamp display case near the register - anticlimactic, indeed. From the cheese, pepperoni, Sante Fe and Napoli selection, I picked two slices of Napoli and two slices of pepperoni (Greg is a purist). The clerk asked me if I wanted my slices crisped in the oven. I took this as a warning that the pizza may be a little old and soggy, but, short on time, I declined and made my way back to the office. The service time at Z Pizza must have been quick because round trip, walking at a leisurely, borderline brisk pace, I made it there and back (about 5 blocks) in 15 minutes. The pizza was a little cold, and I had to nuke it. The slices were very, very large. The box confirmed 100% organic sauces and whole wheat crusts. Z Pizza was definitely a healthier pizza than I'm used to with hardly any grease even, but it was not a tastier one. My Napoli ((homemade roasted garlic sauce, mozzarella, fresh rounds of tomatoes, parmesan, and fresh basil) was a bit boring. The garlic sauce was intensely garlicly; I still have horrible breath from it. Greg griped about his pepperoni too, cursing Z Pizza for not being able to get a classic right. I have to say, when I looked at his slices, I noticed tiny, blotty spots of pizza sauce and limp and wimpy pepperonis that were NOT photo worthy. I think I'll give Z Pizza another try. Next time, I'll definitely order ahead and pick up a hot, fresh pizza. I'm hoping the crew was just a little wobbly on their new legs. Maybe once they settle into things, the food will get better. I have faith.

Can someone just print me a shirt that states "I Live For Tuesdays at Z Pizza"? Tuesday nights Z Pizza offers the following special. Buy any pizza of any size, and get a second pizza of that same size for only $2. Suddenly their outrageously expensive XLarge pizza becomes reasonable when you get a second XLarge for only $2. For those of you playing at home, that's about $22 for two XLarge pizzas. And this includes all of their specialty pizzas! My favorite pizza is the Mexican. Avocados, salsa, onions, lime chicken, cilantro and a drizzle of sour cream on a pizza is my own personal heaven. Careful, I'm ordering that XLarge for myself - you need to buy your own! Another favorite pizza of mine is their Napoli. For you pizza purists out there - this is the pizza for you. Nothing but homemade roasted garlic sauce, sliced tomatoes, mozzarella and fresh basil. The rest of the specialty pizzas I'm less inclined to buy time and time again. The American is just "okay". My biggest issue with Z Pizza is the cleanliness of their store. Every time I visit it seems like they are short staffed and can't bus their tables fast enough. Plates and cups and napkins make the dining room look cluttered. That's enough to take 1 star away.

Oh goodness, Z Pizza. Well, I was really hoping you were called "Z'pizza," not "Zee Pizza," but I just watched the "about" video on your website and alas, the owner/stoner told me it is in fact *slows down speech* Z Pizza. Sigh. Minus five cool points. I have heard excellent things about Z Pizza from my gluten-free and vegan friends, and I have been dying to try it for a while now. I am a sometimes-gluten free person (increasingly less and less in an attempt to somehow make my body used to properly digesting gluten), and so I of course had to try to rice crust pizza they serve here. I was hoping for just a slice, as I actually had already eaten dinner when my friend suggested going here, but they only have slices of wheat crust pizza. Well, harumph. BUT the small gluten-free personal pizza I ordered was excellent - I got the Casablanca, the white pizza with artichokes and mushrooms. It was slightly oily, but otherwise it was very impressive for a gluten-free endeavor. My friend swears by the Mexican pizza, but tonight she tried to American and loved it. To quote her, "I really need to high five someone right now. Can we high five?" (We did). Oh and I took most of my pizza home... I can't wait to have the rest tomorrow. YUM. I like the clean, streamline decor in here, but was disappointed to find out Z Pizza is a chain (though not at all surprised to find out the chain is from SoCal... shocker...). The video on the website pretty much says it all - not a bad thing, but puh-lease, Californians, get over yourselves. The owner is rambling on sllllllowly without saying anything of substance and that's what you put on your website? Dear lord. Neoliberal food and social politics - California, you're just going to save the world, aren't you? If you aren't subsumed by the Pacific first, that is. I would have loved for this to be a local business, and for months now I have been under that assumption. I still really enjoyed my pizza, thus the four stars, but I'm not super pleased with the politics of this place, after following up with their website. I think my next pizza adventure will be Clever Crow, which is inside Circus on 5th/High - same principles, local people.

Like one of my fellow reviewers, I intend to refrain from reviewing chains because of their Plan B, taken-for-grantedness. However, while many chains elect to translate their omnipresence into mediocrity, zpizza does an excellent job at delivering tasty and interesting pizza across the country. I've tasted zpizza's pizza a number of times--the first at the Pizza Grand Prix III at the Wild Goose Collective--and it's never failed to impress. The toppings are fresh, and particularly with the zpizza Creations, are unique and put together in a thoughtful manner. One should note that none of zpizza's Creations or Standards offer more than one meat; instead, zpizza chooses to combine the meat topping with a panoply of veggie and cheese toppings that challenge the versatility and range of one's taste buds. There isn't too much sauce, and the cheese is allocated judiciously. Most importantly, the crust is thin but sturdy, crispy on the outside but chewy on the inside, offering some resonance as one chews. I did find it to be a bit greasy, particularly on the underside. However, the pizza does hold up well overnight, and perhaps that is due to the grease. I also have had the chicken curry sandwich, though that was quite disappointing. I'm used to the British style of curry chicken salad, which tends to be more creamy and "dry"; zpizza's interpretation was far too "wet." That it was also served on sliced bread with pieces of obtrusive cucumber exacerbated the wetness problem and made the sandwich particularly hard to hold together. Finally, curry chicken salad has traditionally been a savoury rather than a sweet sandwich, but zpizza insisted on a sweet curry sauce, with a few raisins to boot. I can't speak for the other sandwiches, but avoid the curry chicken sandwich. Stick with the pizza. While zpizza's prices means it's not competing with the likes of Papa John's, Pizza Hut, and Domino's, it caters those who want their pizza to challenge their expectations. Even for those who prefer the mass chains, zpizza offers an interesting change-of-pace. And if one joins the zpizza mailing list--ztribe--one will get periodic deals that make zpizza even cheaper than the mass chains.

I love pizza and used to eat it 3x a week. Then I found out I have a cheese allergy. Hello Z pizza! I discovered Z pizza when I was searching for a place that sold Daiya vegan cheese. Turns out that you can get it at Z pizza!! Z pizza's The Berkley is my favorite. It's loaded with veggies and creamy gooey fake cheese. I get it about once a week. It's a little pricier than I'd like but if you have a SBB card delivery is free during the week. And I think you can upgrade for with the card as well.

Great pizza (get the sausage and mushroom). Prices are reasonable, slice usually prompt. Don't get the calzone, though. It was pretty bad and took forever to prepare.

First, my wife is gluten-free and she says, "Z Pizza is the best gluten-free pizza in Columbus." In fact, she will not go anywhere else for pizza. So for all you Celiacs out there, this is your pizza place. For me, I miss my California pizza, and this is the place that satisfies the craving. Even the interior looks like your typical California pizza place. The ingredients are fresh, the crust is good, and just enough grease to counter balance the healthy. Anyway, impossible to be disappointed here. Z Pizza is delicious!

I was so excited to see a zpizza in Ohio but this location has terrible customer service. I ordered delivery and when the pizza came it looked like someone has dropped the box. Half the cheese was melted to the cardboard box so I couldn't even scrape it off to put it back on my pizza. Even worse the order was wrong - there was absolutely no sauce on my pizza. I called the store to tell them about this expecting an apology or to remake it but instead all I got was "okay". Terrible customer service. Next time I'll skip zpizza and order from elsewhere. Update: owner stepped in and took care of this by offering a refund and training staff on how to handle customer complaints. That said - pizza was delicious!

Pizza is horrible... That's all I can say. While doing slices is a positive, why is it that no place outside of NY thinks about heating them?? That's what makes a slice so darn tasty! Course I should've known as at lunch time, nobody there cept one other couple. And th crew that works here? Yikes.... How about looking even vaguely professional?? Had a fresh tomato and a pepperoni slice and yes, they tasted like they been sitting for a bit. I doubt they use quality ingredients, tastes like cardboard, and I will never go back - this is an insult to pizza period. And a small peeve - why is the only garbage can way in the back??

I rather enjoy the gluten free crust and usually am pleased with their z creations. However after trying the Tuscan Mushroom pizza in high hopes of an earthy goodness flavored pizza. I am disappointed in this z creation, it should be renamed Tuscan Onion. The mushrooms were barely there at either location and the onion flavor overpowers every other flavor. The first time I tried this pizza it was great but the onions just keep getting piled higher taking away the flavors of the other ingredients. This review would better if there just was more flavor than burnt onion sugars.

Worst service ever.. Ok on a late night bite with two of my friends at 10 pm. Ordered a large pizza as we are dinning in a big homeless guy sits on the same table with US(3 girls) and start eating from our pizza!!!!!! That was the worst experience ever!!!! Empty place no other customers no service to look after us!! Nothing!! Hate the place and the pizza werent even that good

Since my wheat thing happened, I find myself constantly on the hunt for gluten-free pizza that tastes... well... normal? Trust me, this is no easy feat. I've had more than my fair share of cheese on cardboard. I'm excited to announce that Zpizza is not cardboard! I ordered takeout for me and The Mister--a GF Hawaiian for me, and an American for him. The service was super fast--less than 15 minutes--but it was not super friendly. The guy who answered the phone and the guys who waited on me were just kinda "bleh." Not bad, just not good. As for the taste, my GF pizza was delicious! It was super crispy and held up well to the toppings. The Mister liked his American but preferred mine! In a world of bad gluten-free pizza, Zpizza gets it right. Consider me a fan.

Zpizza- good light pizza, the crust isn't too thick or thin. It's not the best thing on the pizza planet but you could come here for a quick pizza fix.

Been here on two different visits to Columbus and all I can say is it's some of the absolute best pizza I have ever eaten. Toppings are amazingly fresh tasting and everything I've gotten is great. 100% recommend for lunch or dinner!!

  • Jill W.

Though this location offers vegan, organic, gluten-free, etc., etc. options, I personally ordered a traditional style pizza... and was NOT disappointed. They delivered to my hotel room and did so relatively promptly. The pizza was perfectly cooked and the toppings were *clearly* of a very high quality (carmelized onions and shiitake mushrooms). Also delicious was the garlic bread with added cheese. When dipped in the provided pizza sauce, it rivaled the pizza. A few minor cons: though I ordered Sprite, which was listed on their menu, I received Sierra Mist. I was told that they had recently switched to Pepsi products (sad choice). Also, the man that took the order over the phone wasn't helpful or particularly nice. He wasn't unbearable, I just expect better customer service. I called at an off-peak time, but he acted as though he was much too busy to even take my order. Busy is busy, but customers keep you in business.

Terrible. A friend and I went in for a quick slice Saturday night before a movie and we agreed that we must have been eating cardboard. The crust was tough and the pizza lacked any flavor. I will never go back to zpizza. Do yourself a favor and go one door down to Northstar Cafe.

  • Amy S.

Petsitting in the Short North can really get your appetite worked up. But I didn't want to go to a sit down restaurant by myself. Or go grocery shopping just for a couple of days. It was also ridiculously hot so I didn't want to go far. Or drive. I get it. I was hungry and grumpy. But I also had an internet connection which told me I could order zpizza online and in 15 minutes walk the 5 minutes to pick it up. Brilliant plan. I got the Thai pizza with the gluten-free crust. It was ready and waiting when I got there and all I had to do was sign the receipt and meander my way back to my waiting Netflix. It was tasty and hit the hunger spot and I was able to polish off 1/2 a small by myself before saving the rest for a cold pizza breakfast. It wasn't the best pizza I've ever tasted but it had a good flavor and was a filling dinner.

Lovely speciality pizzas with all kinds of creative toppings. They also have nice salads. The specialty pizza and salads are just a touch expensive for what they are. The pizza by the slice is a good deal. It's nice that they have beer.

  • Sab S.

Great option for gluten free pizza that delivers! zBBQ is the best pizza for sure!! Pricey but you get what you pay for in quality fresh ingredients. Wish they could do the GF crust in multiple sizes and make it crispier but oh well.. I would stay away from the wings/salad, not worth it.

It took over 1h10mins to get our food, and when we finally received the pizza it was ice cold. Avoid ordering delivery from this place.

Terrible service!!! This was our first time ordering from them and the last. Had a delivery, ordered a salad with chicken and it was delivered without chicken and I was charged for it. Called right back, and talked to a very rude man that didn't apologize and just said we could put $2 on my card and didn't even offered to deliver the missing chicken to my salad. Very rude! When you mess up, a simple apology is all that is needed. I will never return! This was a Saturday night at 8:30pm.

zpizza may be my favorite pizza place in Columbus. If you just want good pizza by the slice, you should try it out. My favorite is the plain cheese pizza- the tomato sauce is what makes it special! They also have a tasty white pizza with artichoke and a variety of vegetables.

Vegan pizza! Would not have stopped without it! Great Lakes beer on tap a very welcome bonus. Vegan! Vegan! Vegan!

I fell in love with Zpizza when I lived in DC, and was thrilled to find out they were also in the Short North when I relocated. Zpizza offers a great variety of options, from their amazing salads to killer pizzas. I personally love the Sante Fe and Berkley. I'm a big fan that they're not afraid to use veggies on their pizzas like your average pizza company. They also always have a good cookie that is vegan friendly in stock, which still tastes amazing for a non vegan like me. ;)

I don't get it. This is really gross. Tastes like school lunch pizza. Bad cheese. Crust is chewy-like chewing gum. Quick delivery time. But, just one of the worst pizzas I have had ever. Veggie calzone was good, though. A lot of fresh veggies inside.

I've only tried the pizza with the tomato slices and the cheese and basil and garlic. It tasted great, though it did feel a little processed/lineprepped/too regular...like it was pulled out of a frozen pizza box and popped into the oven. Don't get me wrong, the pizza tasted good, but it just didn't taste local/homemade, though that is asking a lot from a huge pizza chain...Will probably stop by again if I'm craving pizza nearby, but it's not my favorite.

I had my first zpizza from my sister who ordered the Greek pizza. I didn't think I would like it until I actually tried it. From then on, I couldn't wait to come to my sister's place if it was pizza night because I knew this would be the place she would order it from. Now it's a huge hit at my family's house. We like to mix it up and order different pizzas. I'm also happy they built a zpizza closer to my house in the Clintonville area. I can't wait for my next bite of zpizza!:)

In the past, I've spent a lot of money at this place, had parties there, bought stacks of pizzas at a time (all because they make vegan pizzas). Just tried to call in an order for pizza (11/11/14 @ 8p.). Some guy put me on hold for so long my phone died. When I was able to use someone else's phone, I was told they are no longer honoring their two (pizzas) for (the price of one) Tuesday deal anymore. I think I'm done with them.

I love pizza so it takes a lot for me to write a review for a pizza joint but this place is incredible! All of it is good! Buffalo Blue and their Mexican pizza is fabulous. Even their cheese and pepperoni is great! I would recommend to anyone and everyone!

My first visit to Zpizza was in Phoenix years ago, and I remember liking it then a lot. After eating there, I felt full but not ridiculously stuffed. Yesterday, we went after the Pride parade after most other places were too busy to even find a seat. This trip to Zpizza turned out to be great! We got the thai pizza, and it was extremely good. I'm not a huge fan of a bunch of veggies on my 'Za, but they weren't overpowering and the taste of the sauce and chicken really stood out. I loved it! It's definitely not the cheapest place I've been to, but it's worth it, and I don't think you will regret going here. They have tasty looking calzones available and pizza by the slice. There's a lot to love about Zpizza.

Great pizza - the organic ingredients are a big plus!! I am a fan of the Santa Fe pizza. I like that they serve pizza by the slice, so if you're in a hurry, you can choose from (usually) 3-4 different pizzas to grab a slice and go, for a cheap $2.50. Their pizza crust is hand-made and they offer a wheat option. They can also accommodate for customers looking for a gluten-free option. I've also tried their curry chicken sandwich (served with homemade potato chips!), and it's not bad. The dried cranberries mixed in was delightful. There establishment is great for a group meet-up.

Many of the pizza shops in columbus are starting to introduce and sell innovative pizza, and Z pizza really hits the mark for having very creative pizza. If you are a pizza connoisseur like me, you will definitely want to go explore z pizza. I've had both the pear and Gorgonzola pizza and the Thai chicken pizza, both of which are divine. A really great feature about zpizza is they let you pick your crust, including a gluten free option! A friend of mine was recently diagnosed with celiac disease, and she said she couldn't tell that her pizza was gluten free. And to top it off, they have PBR and other local brews on tap. Cannot beat that!

Since I'm not a dairy eater, finding good pizza to suit my tastes is often a chore. There are some supermarket options, and of course I could always, oh, say, cook my own, I suppose, but you know how it is. Sometimes you just want something different. I'm glad to say the "Berkeley Vegan" pizza at Z hit the spot. The vegan cheese was some of the best I've had, and the soy crumbles were so tasty that I was a little bit sad when a couple of them rolled off and hit the floor ("and then my poor meeeatbaaalls... rolled out of the doooor..."). The veggie toppings were mostly uncooked, which doesn't normally appeal to me on a pizza. Especially onions -- I usually end up picking raw onions off of stuff because I can never remember to ask to have them left off. But on this pizza, they worked perfectly well; they were crisp and flavorful without being overwhelming. Big thumbs up for the wheat crust. The place itself was comfortable and clean, and though the young woman who helped me seemed to be past ready to finish her shift, she was nonetheless polite and helpful. I'm happy to have someplace new to satiate my pizza cravings.

We stopped in on a Gallery Hop night. The Tuscan was particularly delicious and the sauce on my slice of cheese was some of the best I've ever had. A very small selection of beers on tap (Bell's and Fat Tire Ale are the two I recall). The bill was around $20 for four slices of pizza and two beers. We'll definitely be back, but probably just for a happy hour special.

Not only is the pizza delicious, but it's incredibly fresh. When biting into a slice of pepperoni pizza, I thought "wow, this pepperoni actually tastes like meat!" Which is surprisingly uncommon. Five stars for the food and the dining experience. I'm definitely coming back.

  • Katie B.

Z Pizza is definitely one of the best places you can get pizza in the Short North, although I do think it's slightly over priced for what it is. The size of the pizza is great for both sharing or eating alone (especially if you're starving), and a lot of the flavors are all pretty innovative and interesting. The Thai pizza and the pear and gorgonzola are seriously some of the best pizza I've ever had. There's also classics like pepperoni pizza for the less adventurous eaters out there. Their breadsticks are also extremely tasty. They can be kind of slow when delivering, but service is always fast in the restaurant proper. The restaurant itself is sort of lacking in atmosphere, but they do put up some cool art sometimes. My main complaint is that they don't have a lot of seating if you have a big group, but I guess the restaurant has never been too crowded when I've been there.

    (4)
  • Heather S.

I travel to Columbus regularly and this place is a favorite for dining options. They have gluten free and vegan options, as well as a plethora of interesting toppings and sauces. My meat eating husband is pleased, as am I (a gluten-free veggie lover). We also love their arrugula salad and the fact that they will deliver beer.

  • Aaron R.

Unless a restaurant has given me a huge reason, I always give it a second and even third go. Maybe the server was having an off day, maybe they just changed the menu and the cooks are still getting used to it--whatever. When it becomes abundantly clear that a restaurant just generally doesn't pass muster, I feel like a minor doofus for spending so much money there. In this manner, zpizza has made me feel foolish. The reason it's not one star is because the food is actually good--when's it done properly. I've had delivery take 45 minutes longer than quoted (on a weekday, mind you), I've stood at the register for five solid minutes while the apathetic twentysomethings working there refreshed their tumblrs, and I've had more than one burnt pizza. I'm not quick to judge, but get it together, zpizza.

I was recently diagnosed as a reactive hypoglycemic, so I can't eat white flour, among others things. Z pizza's whole wheat crust is a life savor! The inside touts a modern atmosphere with black leather couches in front and free wifi. I've brought my laptop in before and was very productive in this environment. It's usually quiet, but of course they're slammed on Gallery Hop nights. Overall excellent location, well within walking distance from street parking, or the parking lot near Paradise Garage. I've been ticketed at the meters outside for just "3 minutes" past due, so don't forget to pay your meter.

    (4)
  • Paul F.

I came down this evening for dinner. Other than having to park at a meter a good distance away, it was no problem. There were plenty of tables available inside. I ordered at the counter; a piece of pepperoni pizza and a drink. After I got my paper cup I noticed that they had Coke-zero. Three cheers! The pizza was pretty good but no better than I can get at their Graceland store. I mainly came down here for a change of pace.

  • Devanka E.

The gluten free pizza is outrageously priced here. I bought a "large" gluten free pizza that cost me over $20! I have had better gluten-free crusts from the frozen section at Whole Foods. Unless you're desperate I wouldn't waste your money. I will say one positive thing about this place, it provides people with gluten-free cookies, beer and a plethora of good quality ingredients. I can at least appreciate that.

We tried Zpizza on a Saturday afternoon. The pizza was excellent! The atmosphere is a little bland, however. The service was okay... The employees were not rude, but were kinda zombie like and not talkative at all. We will go back, as the pizza was great. The food is supposedly all organic and they have options for vegan and gluten free.

My first visit here was for a Vegetarian Meetup today for lunch. My husband and I shared the Berkeley Vegan and the Moroccan. The Berkeley was good, but the Moroccan was outstanding. The crust was very light and delicious. We liked very much and will go back for more.

Day-um! Now I know where to get a great slice of pizza during the day when LNS is closed! Why didn't I come here earlier? One of the best slices of cheese I've had in a looooong time. In fact, it might have been better than LNS's plain cheese. Also the cheese flat bread was pretty awesome.

  • Virginia R.

I ordered a veggie calzone and was a little bit disappointed. While the ingredients were generally good, the meal overall was a bit bland - no spice to it. We also got a Casablanca pizza -this was much better. Lots of garlic! Much more flavor. So, all in all, a mixed review for my first visit.

Stopped by after a night out in the Short North and was very pleasantly surprised. The pizza was available by the slice for a few bucks, and was premade but still very fresh. The wheat crust on the Hawaiian pizza was great and the lack of usual pizza grease made me go back for seconds. A perfect late night snack spot.

Room temperature, stale, blah pizza. The girl working the register was horrible today to top it off. My husband and I asked for 2 slices and a drink...it cost is $9.50 each!!! I can understand higher prices because of the higher rent in the Short North...but pepperoni pizza that looked and tasted like it sat around for hours...not worth a dime. Plus the girl was supposed to bring us another slice, instead she checked her cell phone, cleaned a table or two, then, my husband went up to the counter to tell her we still needed a slice. She handed it to him with no apology. We tried this place for the first time and it will be our last.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say Zpizza is much better than Sbarro, but that isn't really a compliment by itself so here goes. My wife and I tried Zpizza the other night b/c they offer a gluten-free crust, which would make it the only place in Columbus to offer such a treat for her! I was very hungry and not feeling very adventurous so I ordered the basic pepperoni and she went with the Napoli. The Napoli's ingredients were fresh, even towards closing time and the pepperoni; well it's kind of hard to mess up pepperoni. Our two complaint's with the pizza was that it was too greasy, at least way greasier than we were expecting, based on their advertising. Also, that it was on the expensive side (Understanding that a GF pizza is $3 extra) but the price made it just out of range to make it more of a regular stop. The service was excellent, our pizza was ready seconds after we arrived and we will surely go back again and next time I promise to be a little more adventurous in my pizza selection. I would say 3.5 stars, hopefully the second visit will send me over the edge.

GREAT gluten-free pizza! I've been going ever since they opened up here, and can't get enough. I even called in once to make sure my pick-up order was actually gluten-free because it tasted that good...which is a rarity with some gluten-free foods!

For the most part I've tried to steer clear of reviewing chain places, not because I'm "anti-chain" but because how fucking tacky do you look reviewing a fucking Chili's? Anyways, ZPizza is an exception because they're a pizza chain that offers soy cheese and high quality soy cheese at that! I had the veggie beef crumbles and pineapple on mine and I was very satisfied. Located on high street so it's within walking distance of a lot other entertainment as well. OH YEAH - they have mexican coca cola.

I love pizza. No, seriously, I LOoOOoooVE pizza. But I also know that pizza is terrible for me. White flour, full fat cheese, zero fiber, zero lean protein, and effing delicious. When I have Z Pizza I feel that I mitigate some of those disastrous choices I'm making: whole wheat crust, judiciously used cheese, and fresh veggies. The crust is thin so the middle of the pie needs a little support (like a fold perhaps?) but the edges are crisp and chewy. I also love that they sell by the slice and, BEER!

Zpizza has ruined all other campus pizza joints for me. Although its a bit expensive, you have to be understanding due to the cost of organic food. Their specialty pizzas are creative and delicious! Im still working my way through trying them all, and I don't have any complaints yet.

I recently decided to change the way I eat. As the years go by, my college diet of fast food and alcohol have left an irritating and always present belly that no amount of yoga can whittle away. So I made the change from fires to fruits, pasta to polenta, and pizza to... what really can replace pizza? I had reluctantly banished all memory of delicious dripping with sauce and cheese pizza from my mind. Until the opening of Zpizza. Zpizza is the most healthy alternative you an find that can still call itself a pie. The crust offerings can be wheat whole grain or white. The sauce is full of flavor and organic as is the cheese and all of the toppings. They have fresh, crisp salads that have leaves of romaine, arugula and spinach. In my experience most pizza joints have salads that use the same lettuce and toppings as one would find on a taco pizza. Basically an afterthought for those trying to be healthy. Its nice to have a fresh salad made with your health in mind, not just an additional money maker. The pizza selection is build your own or set store selection. A plain jane cheese and peperoni kind of girl, I did just that on whole wheat and noticed no taste difference. My boyfriend with his love of fancy, has tried the Tuscan, the Greek and the Provence pizza and loved them all equally. Picking pieces of fresh artichoke, capers, and Roma tomatoes off of his slices I too will vouch for their goodness. Whatever topping you choose it will pair well with their winter weight thin crust on wheat or white. I have eaten inside and ordered in from Zpizza. Inside its very chill neo- Peach Pit. With Warhol like reproductions of vegetables and pizza slices it has an attitude of being a pizza place with class. There is a circular booth in the front for groups and sectioned off tables for parties of two of three. As a nanny I appreciated the kids selection and friendliness of Zpizza, especially its stroller friendly aisles. Ordering in the service is fast and arrives piping hot. When we'd been given the wrong pie for a large order the staff apologized and sent a replacement order in minutes. Zpizza is a wonderful and healthy way to enjoy a pizza. My only tip is to order extra sauce for everything (it can be a little light) and to tip your driver well.

Do you crave Mexican? How about Thai? Italian, you say? No problem! Z Pizza has it all. (DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT A SHILL) I happened into Z Pizza the way many people probably do: Northstar was too crowded. I had no idea what to expect, and was really happy with what I found. Friendly owners. Fast service. Reasonable pricing. Clean, bright interior. Creative menu. ORGANIC ingredients! I had the rich Mexican pizza while my companion opted for a slightly more traditional Margherita. Both of us ended up getting second helpings. Two slices per person was more than enough. The ingredients are laid on pretty generously. And really, folks... how many pizza joints offer vegan cheese and in house roasted yams? I am looking forward to trying the rest of their menu when I'm in the area again.

My boyfriend and I ate here today and were both thoroughly impressed. The pizza was great, and the guy who waited on us was really helpful and not at all annoyed that we had never been there and were completely clueless. We ended our meal vowing to come back again.

I ordered one of there specials which cost $6.00. With tax added on the final cost was $6.35 since I ate inside. The special was two slices of pizza and one drink. I had two cheese pizzas and they tasted a little below okay. The crust was kind of tough but edible. The pizza sauce and cheese topping was okay. Regardless, I will return to zpizza because the place inside is peaceful, they offer healthy pizzas and they have a section for board games close to the entrance, which is probably there lounge area.

Z Pizza is a great place to stop in for a slice and a salad for lunch. They almost always have a few slices of vegetarian friendly pizza. And, the Arugula salad is great. Even fresh pizzas come out fast. I've always had great service.

Some yummy vegan options, just wish there were more of them. Yuppie Veggie Sandwich without the provolone=better than Subway. So yummy :) Berkely pizza with soy cheese a good choice too. Very spacious. Clean. Friendly people. TV. Nice veggie art on the walls.

I have stopped by Z Pizza several times and always find it just okay. It's good but given the other options in the area, I usually choose elsewhere. I enjoy the new hummus plate they have, however. Nice atmosphere in the Short North.

Crust is good and not overly greasy pizza. We ordered the provence...you know sauce, cheese, artichokes, tomatoes and cilantro...?!?! The description clearly says basil, and though I love cilantro it is quite an upset when you are expecting basil.

Best pizza by the slice around. Very clean dining room, and friendly staff (good music too). Subs and made-to-order whole pizzas are very good as well. This is a welcome addition to the Short North!

zpizza may be my favorite pizza place in Columbus.

They also always have a good cookie that is vegan friendly in stock, which still tastes amazing for a non vegan like me. ;)

The pizza and salads I have had from here are all amazing. Great costumer service and all around good and clean place. Always try new things when I'm here and enjoy them every time.

Very friendly. Great crust. Very good gluten-free option. The mushroom specialty with truffle oil is Amazing! California Veggie was delicious. They treated us very well with a groupon..

Been here on two different visits to Columbus and all I can say is it's some of the absolute best pizza I have ever eaten. Toppings are amazingly fresh tasting and everything I've gotten is great. 100% recommend for lunch or dinner!!

    (2)
  • Diana U.

  • Neha B.

I respect what they are trying to do, but I do find the prices a bit steep at times.

this is chain pizza that you won't realize is chain pizza. yuppie pizza.

I really like the feel of this place, but the staff doesn't seem to care much. My most recent visit involved a mistake made by the staff who didn't seem to care and seemed annoyed that I was bothering them about it even though it was a really slow night wit like 3 people standing around.

Rather boring New York style pizza. Z Pizza might be in my top 10 pizza places in Columbus, but definitely not my top 5.
