Located right in the heart of downtown Columbus, The Juice Bar is just another option for the working crowd to visit on their lunch breaks. I don't think there's anything that special about Juice Bar, but if you work downtown and haven't been here yet, it might be nice to stop in and change it up a bit instead of eating the same old lunches. The Juice Bar is located just inside the Huntington building. It's on the right side just past Einstein Bros. For a while I just thought that it was part of Einstein Bros. - I didn't realize that it was a separate place. But it is, and you can see all of it because the walls and doors are glass. There's not much to it. But it's cute and very clean and tidy. And even during the lunch rush it never seems to be all that crowded in here. Nothing really special about Juice Bar, it's just a little cafeteria but they supposedly are known for their health food choices. I've eaten here once on my lunch break from work but wasn't very thrilled with it so once was enough for me. I came here with a couple of co-workers and I guess you just kind of go in and grab what you want. Everything is in coolers or set out for you - nothing that I saw was being prepared fresh. There was just a register at the back where you take your food you've picked out and pay. Then you can sit at one of the small tables inside of take it to go. All the food here is already made and wrapped up in plastic or in containers ready to go. It's kind of weird how you just get it yourself out of the cooler. They had sandwiches and salads, and I know they make smoothies here and you could get bags of chips, fruit or pasta salads and bottled sodas and juices and waters. It felt like picking up food in a grocery or convenience store to me, and I guess that's why I didn't really like it all that much. This one and only visit of mine, I grabbed a chicken salad sandwich and a bag of chips and a bottled drink. The price was pretty typical of everything else that's downtown. We sat down and I unwrapped my sandwich and instantly felt like a kid in elementary school getting ready to eat my packed lunch. The sandwich wasn't that great. Some of the chicken was chewy nasty bits that I had to spit out and I've definitely had better. It just wasn't anything to get excited about. I'd much rather go to Einstein next door and get a freshly made hot sandwich. There's not much else to say about my experience here. It was very close to my work, so that was the only plus. But it never brought me back. And I'm still not sure what makes this place "healthy." But give it a try if you need to grab something quickly and you're already downtown. But since there's nowhere to park around this entire area without going into one of those overpriced parking garages, don't go just to eat here. It won't be worth it. Plus it's only open during business hours since it caters to the working crowd. There are so many more delicious places to eat downtown that cost about the same. Very mediocre.

I need to give credit where credit is due. Juice Bar has some notable benefits. I've only gotten smoothies here, but these smoothies were made fresh in front of my face with whole fruit and without caloric fillers like "ice cream base" or whatever. And they're only $2.50. Heck yes. That right there is four-star worthy. However, the other offerings look a little sad. I haven't gotten anything besides a smoothie here because nothing else looks particularly appealing. The wraps, sandwiches, and salads in the little cooler look fine, if a little smooshed. There's just so many other options nearby that I never think of going out on a limb for the ho hum Juice Bar fare. There's hot daily specials that I may try, however. Again, nothing ever sounds really awesome. I think it's funny that the official business title here on Yelp is "The Juice Bar Health Food Restaurant" -- it's pretty much a grab-n-go. While the smoothies are healthier than most, I'm not sure the rest of the joint really screams health. Juice Bar could benefit from a menu makeover. The "health" concepts are a little bit 90's. Maybe add some quinoa salads to your cooler. Overall, a good option for those of us who work in the Huntington Center, and I'm particularly grateful for the inexpensive, satisfying, and simple smoothies.

This little storefront in the rear lobby of the Huntington building is pretty bare bones: they make a few smoothies, have sodas and pre-made food available, and 80s music on the radio. The smoothies are tasty, made before your eyes with real ingredients, and reasonable priced. It's never busy. Honestly, this is as much information as I have about this biz. Explains how simple it is.

I would and I know other people would love to have a Raw Juice Bar option in downtown Columbus, Ohio. I would be willing to pay $5-7 per drink. Please reconsider your approach to healthy options and buy a juicer!
