My experience was about the same as Heather's. Only thing is I wasn't surprised. The place looked like it belonged in West Virginia from the outside, and made me feel like I was in West Virginia from the inside. In West Virginia, most every bar is just like this, including the friendliness of the patrons. Until about 2am when the fights start to break out, anyway. WV prices too. $3 imports( slim pickins). I got one domestic and it must have been $2 and change. Shots were $3. Darts are free (three boards), six pool tables, patio out back and a second on the north side. Gigantic place. Friendly staff and even friendlier customers. I missed the last bus back downtown for quite a while so I called my sister, "Hey, can you come get me? There isn't a bus for a good while..." "We've got the dog," she said. "That's fine, so do three other people." Dogs welcome. It's what we call a good ole boy's bar. Unfortunately, if I wanted to live in the middle of nowhere I would have stayed in West Virginia, so unless you live up around 161 or Westerville, this is probably way too far out to make your regular spot.

Because of it's foreboding exterior, I walked in here expecting the worst. I was immediately greeted by the bartender and a few nearby patrons as soon as I walked up to the bar, and I quickly realized you can't judge this book by it's cover! I was introduced to some of the regulars here, and already made plans to go back the next day! I am so glad I ventured in!

Wow. I have to admit, when we first pulled in to the place, we were a bit blown away by the seemingly uninviting location- not to mention that there were approximately 52,329 Harley Davidson motorcycles parked outside indicating to us that this probably wasn't our sort of hangout. Had we not been there to support our friend playing in the band we probably would have turned around without ever going in. What a mistake that would have been! While this was definitely out of our comfort zone and certainly not our normal hangout/pub, we encountered the friendliest people, excellent service, and casual environment. We were immediately approached by another female inviting us to join their group and another male patron quickly gathered us chairs and a table to sit in (a patron- not an employee!). We were astounded at the kindness and generosity, quick service, and down-to-earth feel of the place. There was not even a hint of pretentious behavior to be found. Refreshing.

You could not find a nicer crowd of people from the pool players to Shane and his Dad who serve you your drinks. I have been made very welcome and being that this looks like a 'locals' place, I am as outsider as you could get being from another country but stick yer money on the table, grab a beer and have a great night of laughs and pool....if your game is good enough !!!
