I would not recommend this place to anyone. I came here a while ago (probably 2 years now) and I made a simple request for no ice in my drink (because I have tooth sensitivity due to a root canal) and there was ice in it. I wasn't mad about that because mistakes are made, but I asked the waitress if she could replace it and she looked very pissed off about it. After about 5 minute we were still deciding what we wanted to order and she came up to us and said "What do you want?" Before she asked us if we were ready to order. My friend said that it will be a few minutes and we waited about 10 more minutes and she just walked by the table many times and when I tried to flag her down she said just a second. I went to the front and asked for a different waitress, and the new one was nice- like waitresses at every other restaurant. I was eating my food, and it wasn't that good. I wouldn't have said anything to anyone, I just would have tipped the new waitress 15-20% and left, but some guy who I think was the manager asked how the meal was and I answered him honestly. I said that it just ok and so did one of my friends, but the other one said that he didn't really like his food. The manager looked pretty mad, like he just wanted us to say that it was good then walked away. We all tipped the waitress 35% because we feel bad for her for having to work there.

Wanted a steak. A quick and easy steak...where you can bring kids and eat peanuts. Of course this is the place to go!. Overall the service is top notch. The beer was amazingly cold, and I rather enjoy the feel and layout of this particular joint. The food was so-so.Started with the potato skins...which are nothing more than dense potatoey slabs of cheddar with some bacon bits haphazardly chucked on top. No worries...the rolls and peanuts, both delicious, were still on standby. Starter salads came out and were ok...somehow felt as if they were below freezing, but not frozen. I probably could have saved it by asking for more dressing, but I did not. My fault there. Steaks were decent. One came out undercooked, but was ordered on the border of moo'ing so it was understandable. After it was replaced, and the automatic visit from the manager, all was well (he was a super nice guy). I usually get the 'bottom of the barrel' sirloins as these places, but went with a strip as they were winking at me from behind the glass case near the entry...might as well just stick to the sirloins...tasted the same really.

Worst roadhouse experience ever!!!! Today is my birthday, and I went their to celebrate. I just moved to Columbus and I thought this is a chain store so the service and food should be in the same level as any other roadhouse . On the contrary, they both suck!!!!! My waitress gave me a super bad attitude, even though she knows it is my birthday, and the house salad and sirloin here are the worst I ever had. The bread? Nope, they forgot to bring me one, and I thought it was because they don't have bread, until in the end I saw other tables have bread... In short: don't come here, ever!

Had chicken fried steak it was so bad, the gravy tasted sweet almost like pudding on it.. The drink they brought me was awful and the left it on my ticket.. Don't waste your time and the music is so loud you can't hear anything

Okay, the food wasn't bad....it was exactly what I thought it would be. The steaks were both cooked correctly (medium rare) and tasted great. I had a salad....fresh and I liked the blue cheese dressing. I had green beans as my side and they didn't look that great, but they tasted good. I can't remember my husband's sides but he seemed to enjoy them fine. The problem was our server. He was pleasant enough, even nice, really....but he was a terrible server. Just terrible. Not once during the meal did he ever remove a dirty plate. Not even a salad dish pushed to the side. Not once did he EVER refill coffee or other beverages....even though they were completely empty....and pushed to the side as a little hint. He had to be flagged down to get drink refills. My husband's first cup of coffee was cold.... He brought the check before we were finished eating....in fact my husband was not even half finished. We even made a point of telling him we were not finished with dinner when he tried to leave the check but he didn't take the hint and left it anyway. So of course he didn't offer any dessert. After my husband finished eating , we flagged him down and I ordered a coffee. He didn't bring cream or offer it....just dropped it off and walked away. Of course, he did not bother to charge us for that cup of coffee. He might have had to put a little effort forth. We sat and drank out coffees (he brought Martin a new one) amidst a pile of dirty dishes, includingMartins first two coffee cups. Ridiculous. I considered calling the manager to tell him. Don't want to get the kid fired....but he was so bad. He WAS friendly....but that's about all. It was so hard to figure out how to tip. What would you all do?

That's an awesome place,This is the second time I have been there. the servers are enthusiastic when we ordered. Bone-in Ribeye steak medium well is my favorite one. the fat and the meat are mix together with the mushrooms on the top attracted me to come back again! Some sides like caesar salad and the cheese fries are two perfect taste. Good price for Texas roadhouse.

The entire atmosphere is great. Bone-in Ribeye is my favorite. It is juicy and tasty but the price is still acceptable. However, there was several time that my steak was overcooked. Normally, I come here twice a month. Overall, I recommend this place.

Solid steaks at working-man prices. It's hard to beat Texas Roadhouse. They don't season the beef, which is a huge plus since some places can't seem to wrap their head around the notion that all a good chunk of meat needs is some time with a nice fire to get things done right. I order it medium-rare, and they hit the mark on my request every time. I like the drink specials too, and their early bird option (if you can get there in time) makes for an affordable (and filling) dinner. I've been coming here regularly enough over the years I felt obligated to put a review down.

Come on folks, it's just fine ... I'm going to get flack for this review; I can hear it now. Let's start with what Texas Roadhouse isn't, and what it is. This isn't a fine dining, white linen tablecloth, high-end, ultra expensive a la carte steakhouse. It is a good, value priced, kid friendly, meat and potatoes family restaurant where your kids can misbehave, and be loud, and throw peanuts on the floor, and no one cares. The steaks are actually decent if you don't go all cheapskate and you order something more expensive than the $8.99 sirloin. The ribeye and strip steak were properly cooked and seasoned, and quite tasty. For the price, the sirloin steak isn't bad either. The free rolls and sweetened butter are delicious. Their drinks are solid and inexpensive. Try the Jamaican Cowboy Margarita if you like a somewhat sweet drinks. It's awesome. If you want a place where you can take the whole family, let the kids be kids, have a couple drinks, and still get out for a fair price, Texas Roadhouse is actually pretty good. I'd give it 3 1/2 stars, but since Yelp forces me to choose, I'll round up because our large family all love this place.

I decided to go here for the first time in over a year, hoping and thinking the standards had changed. Our server was fine - she was on top of things and great. My issues started with the honey butter not having honey. Then my food order. Medium well = light pink, warm center in any steak house. Medium is too bloody for me, well done is too tough for me. My first steak - medium rare. They take it away to try again. My second steak = medium rare. They take IT away. My third steak = medium (at which point the manager is standing over us and I ask him to verify my understanding of medium well, and he agrees with me and even states "I'm not sure what's going on back there tonight"). My fourth steak (and this is 90 minutes in to us trying to eat) = MEDIUM again. I told them just to give me a box and I took it home. Guess what, microwaving it for 2 minutes and 30 seconds made my steak PERFECTLY medium-well. Positives: Host quickly sat us, drinks were served promptly, appetizers were tasty and quick to the table, server was attentive and kind, I kept getting new baked potatoes with each attempted steak (all of which came home with me to be used as leftovers). Still.....Never. Never. Going back.

Best steakhouse in town with regards to bang for the buck. Atmosphere and staff are top notch. Filets and New York Strip are excellent. Many great side choices. Closest TRH to campus so sometimes a popular place for out of towners.

For a more in-depth review please see my Polaris review, which is 5 star yelp.com/biz/texas-roadh… This place does not get a five star for two reasons. 1. They charged us $6 for extra chicken in the grilled chicken salad and the Polaris restaurant only charges $3.50. We asked to see a manager and he would not adjust. 2. We were there for nearly an hour and not once got a refill. Unacceptable. The only reason the rating is still a 4-star here is the food is fantastic and the people are friendly and I believe this may have just been an aberration...Will update though if we encounter further issues such as the above.

If I'm ever craving good, fairly priced steak, this is the place to go. The steak is cooked to perfection and you have the option of adding grilled onions and cheese on it. It literally melts in your mouth it's so good. I'm also a huge potato fanatic because who doesn't like potatoes? If you don't like potatoes, haters gonna hate, potatoes gonna potate. That being said, they're mashed potatoes are on point and so are they're loaded baked potatoes. You can get combos and really get your money's worth. Texas Roadhouse also serves these delicious fresh dinner rolls with cinnamon butter. SO GOOD. It's like they filled them with crack. I literally can't stop eating them. Staff is always extremely friendly as well and quick to respond to your every need! I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes to be seated

A couple weeks ago a buddy and I ordered a couple steaks for takeout. After waiting the 45 minutes, we drove to the restaurant to pick up the food. The food wasn't ready yet and we ended up having to wait there literally another hour! When we finally got the food and got home, we discovered they forgot one of our steaks. We had to drive 15 minutes back to the restaurant to pick up my friend's steak. So we got back to the restaurant to get the missing NY Strip, and they give us a small, overcooked steak. When we asked where the chili side dish was, we were told they were out. Not a good experience.

My wife and grand kids decided to try this place and the food and service was superb,I had the hand cut 20oz bone in Rib Eye steak and 2 sides for $21.99 and was worth every penny, I have gone to a fancy Steak House at Polaris paid $44.00 dollars for Rib Eye steak that had no taste and no sides and got food poisoning , my wife ordered the Prime Rib and it seemed tough, the waitress took it back and my wife ordered the same steak as I had and loved it, the manager came over and apologized and took it off our check. This is the way you run a restaurant with good customer service I will definitely come back and tell all my friends. We also had a great waitress her name was Ktee and she did a marvelous job.

Had Sunday lunch at this location today. The food and service were excellent. My 16 ounce Ribeye Steak was fat and juicy; the salad was fresh, crispy and tastee. The steak fries were a little over cooked for my palette. We had a generous appetizer of Fried Pickles with ranch dressing and plenty of very hot mini-rolls with cinnamon flavored butter. We had enough food left over for a complete second meal. This generous meal was followed by a two hour nap and a little later a relaxing stogie. Ahhhhhhhh .... what a wonderful experience for an overcast Sunday.

While in Columbus for work, I was just planning on going back to my hotel and purchasing a sandwich or something mediocre from the "bistro." However, I randomly had a craving for Texas Roadhouse (since I don't have any nearby my home in Pittsburgh) and just had to check out this location. I love that from the moment you sit down at Texas Roadhouse, you have food placed in front of you. First there are peanuts in a little bucket on the table followed by those out-of-this-world yeast rolls with cinnamon butter. The rolls are just so ridiculously good... dreaming of them now! I started out with a Raspberry Tea Vodka because, well, I had some work meal per diem to spend! Though tasty, it could have had more of a vodka kick -- it almost tasted too much like Raspberry Sweet Tea. For dinner, I ordered the 8 oz Dallas Fillet with a Caesar salad and Sweet Potato on the side. The steak was tasty, though not up to the level of some other fillets I've had recently, and the salad and potato were just OK.

Usually we eat at the Polaris location but we were heading in this direction anyway so we decided to give this one a try. Is it me or are the rolls getting smaller? Anyway, as always the food was on par with my prime rib being cooked just right (did not have to send it back like I sometimes do) and hubs hunk of beef was good too. Service was good as well but I do have one gripe. Why oh why do they charge $2.39 for club soda which is just fizzy water??? And they ring it up as Sprite on the check. Not cool!

I highly recommend the steakhouse, which is located on 1540 Bethel Road. First of all, I think the environment in the Roadhouse is relaxed, making people enjoyable. The day that I went to Texas Roadhouse was my friend's birthday. The waiters and waitresses there also performed a dance for us. It was so nice. Honestly, the rolls provided in befor main meal is the best bread that I have ever tried. For steaks, I would say that rib-eye tastes the best, with two delicious sides: sweet corn and sweet potato. I really believe that everybody should try that. One thing that I think the restaurant should improve is that try to make the menu more reader-friendly, because for the first time, I found it a little difficult deciding what to oder, since the photos of the food are a little chaotic. Overall, I would give 4 stars to this restaurant. It is really worth trying.

Good homemade food and steaks for the price. I suggest getting the side of chili with the homemade wing sauce. I would rather go here than other steakhouses in town. My brother and I will travel to this location for the quality of the food and the price. We also come here because there are many gluten free options. We jump on the sweat honey butter rolls like hand grenades so that our friend will Celiac disease will not be tempted. It is always a good time.

Typical good bread, love being able to get sweet tea. We stayed pretty cold a majority of our dinner due to the fans being on, asked if they could turn them off, manger turned heat on higher, that didn't help with the wind being blown down on us making us cold. Outside of that good meal.

This is my favorite place to get a steak around, by far. I have been here numerous times over the years and always have a good time. I always get the 6 oz. filet (medium), baked potato with butter and sour cream/or mashed potatoes with white gravy, and a house salad (no tomato) with honey mustard dressing. The filet's are always cooked great, baked potato is a baked potato (it'd be difficult to jack that up), the mashed potatoes are really good and I love the white gravy. I don't know what it is about the salad here, but it is the best salad I have ever had! I love the egg and the croutons are the best thing I have ever tasted! Oh and I love the music! I love country, but you don't have to love it to eat here, my boyfriend hates country music and loves dining here just as much as I do.

Good food, good prices. I think better than many other steak chains. Ask for Jason. Great server. If you get the combos, you end up with a meals worth to take home. And when you do that as to it becomes a very cheap meal!

As far as carry out is concerned, this place is a joke. I would love for the service and food to be consistent, because this location is steps from my apartment, but our orders are wrong LITERALLY 99% of the time. Usually in the form of excluding items and severely over-cooking the meat. (We now order rare if we want medium.) My fiancé has contacted the manager multiple times, and he's always apologetic and accommodating, but it's never gotten better. Don't waste your money or time here unless you plan to dine in.

    (1)
  • Mike V.

I've eaten here multiple times and the steaks are never cooked the way I order even after confirming with the server what they're cooking temperatures are for medium rare. Don't get me wrong I live the whole Texas Roadhouse atmosphere but other locations in Columbus pull it off better.

This is a good place. Service is 4 stars. The waitresses and hostesses are very nice, and high energy. I've been several times and have always experienced good service. Drinks are 4 stars. Last night's drink special was a long island ice tea for $4. Made strong. If you order beer, the waitress offers it in a frozen mug. Nice touch. Menu is 3 stars. There are many steak options on the menu, but the font and style of the print is terribly difficult to read with the lighting the way it is. Anyone else experience this? The design could certainly benefit from an update. Additionally, most of the steaks are larger in size than I care for. Given, this is a steakhouse, I'm not big on red meat. I merely enjoy a tasty filet every once in a while. Aside from steaks, the rest of the menu is balanced-- some salads, side options with steak orders, etc-- nothing outrageous or gimmicky like "coffee cured" meat like a Morton's or Mitchell's would offer. Price is 3 stars, average in comparison to other middle-range steak houses. From a location perspective, I think Texas Road House probably competes with Outback Steak House on Bethel, and it's truly a toss up depending on your mood. If you're in an upbeat mood and want to drink, I'd recommend Texas Road House. Overal 3.5

Beware, those with peanut allergies. Do they have the best steaks in Columbus? No. Do they consistently make good steaks, great salads, plus fucking cinnamon-sugar-butter-rolls? Yes. I always get a rib eye - cooked perfectly, the salad (I know, can you fuck up a salad? Yes you can - they never have), the rolls with that awesome butter - all delicious. The staff? On top of it, always there when you need them, never interrupting, never wondering where they hell they disappeared to. As far as chain steakhouses go, Texas Road House has consistently been awesome.

It was steak night and this was the chosen destination. It was Friday evening and we walked in and got seated right away. I ordered the NY strip and the boyfriend had the prime rib. We both ordered medium but they ended up more medium-rare... but I'd rather have a steak underdone than over done. We both cleaned our plates which is probably the review that should be here instead of my prattling on. Anyway, my only knock on the place was our server... she rarely left us alone. It was about every 30-45 seconds that she was at our table asking us something. If she could dial back on the attention a tad, she'd be aces.

Extremely disappointing sirloin--low quality and bad flavor. The rolls/cinnamon butter are fantastic and the service was good. But the steaks killed it for me:(

I have been coming to this location, and other Texas Roadhouses for quite awhile. There are TONS of steak houses in this city, and this one is pretty good. Its not great, not by any means. But the service is usually pretty attentive, and the food isn't bad for what you're spending. It is all in all fairly average, nothing to write home about, but nothing that I'd really complain about. At our most recent visit they over-cooked my wife's steak- clearly a medium instead of a rare. However they were quick to offer to fix it once pointed out, and a manager brought it out and made sure the second was correct. It did take a bit longer then it should have to cook the second steak, but at least it was correct. Sure, they try to up-sell everything, but I really can't complain about that. Its how most restaurants make their real money. An extra dollar here and there does great for the bottom line, and you can always say no. They don't pressure you to over-buy. All in all, its a good place to get some red meat and a giant deep fried onion.

  • Tim S.

3.5 stars. This is going to be short an sweet. Of the "chain" casual steakhouses...this is the best. Good value and solid steaks. I like their sirloin - and I'd rather eat here then outback, longhorn, etc. They have some nice drink specials too.

  • Paul F.

I came in for dinner this afernoon and ordered the onion blossom. It was pretty good but not the best that I've had. But no sooner did I get that, but my food shows up. So I sent it back and went to work on my dinner. I have to admit that my steak was pretty good if a bit stringy. And the waitress took pretty good care of me. But it's probably not a place that I'll be in a hurry to come back to.

  • Nick W.

The chili is solid. If you want to play a prank on your friend when its not their birthday, they will gladly play along and bring every waiter/waitress to your table and make you sit on a saddle and clap and draw attention to your table. This happened to me.

    (3)
  • Richard B.

Food was pretty good, sirloin for old lady and a Caesar chicken salad for me, service was off tonight though, got regular coke instead of diet, rolls came out after I was finished with meal, the couple next to us complained about not getting served after getting seated, some other small things too. AND there were penis all over the floor!!!!

    (3)
  • David S.

Food was average, country music so loud you cannot talk with anyone at your table . Slow Sunday evening 7:00, why would it take 30 minutes after you have finished your salad to get your main course? Would probably come back but a typical chain restaurant that is about average.

  • Jessica K.

Just got back from dinner with Keith and had a really good steak. I always get a NY strip when I go here because it is awesome. They cook it perfectly and their salads are great! Cinnamon butter was super good. I love their rolls. Probably not as good as O'Charleys rolls but def second on the list! The server was friendly. She kept a clean table and had our food out promptly. We had a really good time and I cant wait to go again!

  • Mae T.

I had a great experience... perfectly cooked 121 oz rib-eye, all the fresh rolls and cinnamon butter you could want, and chili and baked sweet potato as the side, all for less then $20. I've eaten at Outback a few times, this place blows it away with the quality and preparation of the steaks. It's a great compromise if you are looking for a well cooked steak that won't drain your bank account. it definitely is a casual place, great for families.
