After our previous poor experience, S&W really stepped up to the plate. The general manager personally got involved and we decided to give it at shot because we'd had good large group meals in the private rooms. The bottom line is that the previous bad night seems to be an anomoly. We had a great experience this time. The restaurant was energetic, but the noise level at our table was completely acceptable this time. Our server, John, was outstanding like you expect at a place of this caliber. He was there when we needed something but out of the way otherwise. He was also very helpful in suggesting items and modifications. My steak (the filet trio) was outstanding, and so was the wife's seafood. It is still expensive, but now in my opinion is worth it. We both agreed we would go back.

Great for a late night. We wandered in to watch the Tigers win a game and decided to have a couple appetizers and a couple drinks; and toss out about $50. The night was really beautiful and all the window/doors were open. There was a really great crowd. A bunch of us who wanted to see a game, spend some money, and have a nice time. We had all that, and spent the money. You know what you get into when you walk in the door. S/W is one classy/great place. We're fans.

I have many outlets via which I relay my dining experiences, but explicitly started a Yelp account to convey the wonderful and positive experiences I have had at Columbus's Smith & Wollensky. S & W is a quiet pillar, standing tall amidst Columbus's bustling dining community. Nestled in the picturesque townsfair streets of Easton Town Center, it both compliments and adds to its surroundings. Patrons here can come as they please, be it for a cocktail in the bar, or a fine dining experience. The minute I walked through the warm, wooded, revolving door, I was struck with the decor. From the bold, copper bar, to the well traveled hardwoods on the floor, it has the feel of a comfortable, yet sophisticated Hunt Club. Service, in my mind, is what sets apart a good establishment from an excellent one. The level of service at this S & W strikes a perfect balance, and is rather irreproachable. The bartenders deserve special mention here. Brett and Susan are unintrusive and professional, with an attentive nature that cannot be taught. Much like any steakhouse, prices are high, but not exceedingly so. If you are dining on a Sunday afternoon, there are plenty of options on the Bar menu that are satisfying and still delivered with fine presentation. I recommend any of the flatbreads, and of course, the split pea soup. And now the steaks. Having been to every steakhouse in the area, I feel the execution here is well above the others. My visits here have become an almost weekly trend. It becomes a place "where everybody knows your name," hearkening back to that old school kind of shtick we long for in our hurried lives. I don't know if Norm would have ever dined here, but if he had, he would have left full and satisfied.

I rarely give out 1 star ratings, and I really wanted to like this place. I've heard so many great things about it and finally had the chance to check it out today. My first moment of shock and terror came when I saw the menu item prices. Dear god in heaven - $18 for a chicken sandwich and $9 for a side (small I might add) of broccoli?! The food wasn't good enough to make me want to come back. Granted this place is known for its steak and I'm sure a lot of people will tell me to just shut and go to KFC if I want chicken, but come on, $18! AND the chicken was dry. On the plus side, my small side order of broccoli that cost $9 was pretty good. I'll pass this place by from now on and never think twice about going back.

I'm not a huge fan of steakhouses in general, but I was here for an engagement party so since I wasn't paying I figured I might as well go all out and get whatever I wanted. That meant steak, mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. The steak was really good, definitely above average, and the spinach had a nice flavor and wasn't too wet like some creamed spinach can be but the potatoes were a disaster. They were several different temperatures, ranging from chilly to ultrahot, which leads me to believe they'd either been zapped in the microwave or an old batch had been mixed with a new batch and hadn't been stirred very well. If it happened at Bob Evans I wouldn't complain, but if you're paying a lot of money for mashed potatoes, they shouldn't have something so obviously wrong with them. We had a party of ten so that might have impacted the way the staff treated us, but other than a rather lengthy wait, I had no complaints. They were polite and kept my water refilled and I don't know that I could have asked for much more than that.

This place is sooo over priced! My hendrix and tonic was $11.75 !! The same drink at Rossi downtown was $4.75. What a joke. I left without even tipping, which I have never done before. If you have way more money than common sense, then this place is for you. Easton Town Center is a glorified mall with a fountain outside. Perfect for suburbanites who don't know any better. I will never step foot in one of these places again. I can guarantee you this.

The food was decent, but over-priced for what it is - much better places like HP, RC, Mitchell's and EM. Plus our male server "J" was an idiot, had zero personality and got the orders wrong, first he messed up one of our drink orders, forgot a side and more importantly he screwed up my GF's dinner order. Then we had left overs, he tilted the bag when it was handed to us and all the sauce was dripping out. Pure stupidity. Literally he didn't say more that 12 words the whole time during service and another "Low-Talker."! Now I know why I haven't been there in over 5+ years and you figure when you pay over $350 for dinner, things would be near perfect. But this is a mall restaurant...

Okay. So I went here on the fly. Like it wasn't planned on nothing like that it was more so on a whim. Well when I got there. I was seated in the dining room. Now maybe because I sit at a company all day doing graphics my eyes are playing tricks on me. Or could it be that the place was so poorly lit that it was ashame? I started getting headaches. So I moved out to the patio. Now all the talk about the rude wait staff was not my experience. They were very courteous and obliged my every need with no hesitation (seriously, i was not paid for that review at all). Like I dropped my fork and this dude who wasn't even waiting on my table replaced it in 13.5 seconds. I was like wow. They moved me to the patio with no problem. They also took the time to answer the questions that I had. I had the Cajun Rubbed Rib eye. It was good. But for the price that you pay at Smith and Wollensky it should have been a Drake and Kanye song, "The Best I've Ever Had." But it was not. But it was good none the less.

I really wanted to enjoy this place, since I'm a big fan of Ruth's Chris and Fleming's and the usual high-end, chain, steak houses. But the bone-in rib eye was below average! Although huge, my $45 steak was nothing special. It was very tough, especially for medium rare. I scoffed at the fact that they have their own steak sauce, as really tasty steaks don't need it; however, after tasting this bland steak, I actually used it!. The Wollensky salad was average. The hash browns were uninspired, bland potatoes you would find at Perkin's, and we barely even touched them. The decor and service was great, but the food did not back up the $200 bill for two.

My first ever experience at a Smith & Wollensky was at this particular location. Frequenting Easton as often as I do whenever I'm in town, it was only a matter of time before I took a deep breath, gave in and walked passed the valet through the revolving door. Best decision ever. I've been here...oh, I'm not sure but I'll ballpark it...about 5-6 times in the past few months and every single experience has been an enjoyable one. Very enjoyable. Hence the trips back and back and back some more. Some points: 1) I always come on either a Saturday or Sunday (mostly Sundays) and I'm always there with my partner in crime, the Doctor. We're there around 12:30/1pm and it is never super crowded. We always sit at the bar; I've never actually sat at a table or in a booth. But again, never crowded. 2) The bartenders are some of the nicest people around. Susan is just the cutest little bundle of joy and is always very accommodating. Example, you ask? Hi, this heat lamp above us is making us way too hot. Can you turn it down? She does. Oh, also...can you put on the OSU game/Bears game/any game we want to watch? She does. Those are just two examples. There's also Brett. Cool guy with a smooth attitude who is always there to top off your drink with a smile. Fun to chat with, he, too, is the other reason to sit at the bar. 3) Bathrooms are clean, smell great and just a pleasure to step into. The hand-drying towels are fantastic and above-average in quality. :) 4) Buffalo chicken flatbread. 'nuf said. I'm back in the 'bus in 1 week and cannot wait to take on S&W with the Doctor again. Come say hello if you happen to see me there. I don't bite. Certainly not on Sundays, anyway. ;)

Never having been to Columbus before, this restaurant was chosen after scouring many reviews. Perhaps my expectations were just too high, but I really was not impressed. I had high hopes when I walked in. The location was gorgeous, and, upon entering, I found the decor to be what I would expect of a fine dining chain steakhouse. There was absolutely no one in the restaurant when we arrived for our reservation. It took a second or so for someone to walk by and notice they had customers waiting to be seated. We were asked where we wished to sit and we chose the small dining area with the fire place. We were not led to a table, but rather told to sit wherever. The waitress returned and gave us our menus and introduced us to our waiter. I cannot recall his name, but he certainly left an impression. He was either new to serving, or is socially awkward. Throughout our meal he would stand next to the table and stare for awhile before he'd think of something to say to us. He interrupted our conversation several times and would walk away mid thought, and whisper in another waiter's ear in clear view of our table, all while continuing to stare. ...Most uncomfortable dining experience of my life, and that alone would cause me to not go back. As for the food, I ordered the Caesar salad to start, and my companion ordered the calamari. My salad was alright. It wasn't bad, but it was very boring for a restaurant that charges such steep prices. As for the calamari, my companion said that it too was just okay. Not bad, but the same fried calamari you could get at a pizza shop. I ordered the scallops and cider braised prime beef, and my friend ordered the coffee and cocoa rubbed steak, and, for sides, we ordered the roasted asparagus and the lobster truffle mac and cheese (per suggestion of our waiter). My plate presentation was better than expected, and the flavor combinations were appetizing. However, my scallops were bland and slightly overcooked. My friend commented that the rub on her steak was delicious, with hints of cinnamon and a little spicy kick. As for the sides, the asparagus had no seasoning on it what so ever, and the hollandaise sauce served with it was bland and not expertly made (it had chunks). The lobster truffle mac and cheese that was raved about by our waiter, was not my cup of tea. The elbow macaroni was not the correct pasta shape for this dish and did not help it at all (yes, pasta shape can make or break a dish). Also, the cheeses used just did not compliment the lobster. I had a small spoonful and never went back for more. And then came dessert......I'm a pastry chef. I always order dessert from a restaurant because I firmly believe that an amazing dessert can counteract a not so great app/entree experience. My friend ordered the creme brulee...she has never had creme brulee before so she had nothing to compare it to, but thought it was heavenly. I took her word for it, as its difficult to screw up creme brulee too badly. Our waiter beamed over the coconut layer cake, claiming that Food Network had ranked it one of the top ten things you must eat before you die. I ordered it. I could have easily gone my whole life without eating it, and won't ever again. Yeah, it tasted like coconut. Yeah, it looked impressive on the plate due to the size of the slice. Its not anything spectacular and nothing I'd write home about. I myself make a coconut layer cake that could beat the pants off this one any old day. Whoever ranked this cake on the top ten things to eat before you die, needs to get out more. Oh, and the "freshly whipped cream" they offer to scoop for your dessert may be freshly whipped, but is in no way real cream. Its a cream alternative, and it tastes like tapioca. The meal was alright, but if I'm paying $200, I am more than allowed to be extremely picky over my meal. This meal was not worth that much, but perhaps half that. If you're looking to drop a chunk of change for a special night out, I suggest you go elsewhere.

I love steakhouses. Even chain steakhouses. I love the ambiance, the extensive wine list, and most importantly, the steak - I'm one of those people who will only eat steak at a steakhouse, so it's a rather special treat. Smith and Wollensky was a disappointment in almost every way possible. The service was mediocre at best - our waiter was rather inattentive, humorless, and overall seemed bored and indifferent. In addition, he kept disappearing for 15 minute stretches with no good reason (it was a rainy Tuesday night and not at all busy.) When we attempted to order our wine, we were told as a "by the way" that they'd changed the vintage (the waiter didn't see the big deal - "oh, don't worry, it's almost the same" - um, if we're paying $200 for a bottle, the vintage IS a big deal.) The restaurant itself was too brightly lit and the layout rather uncomfortable. And my filet mignon, though perfectly cooked and fairly tender, was almost entirely flavorless. I did like the appetizers we ordered - the tuna tataki and the fried calamari - and the sides were absolutely delicious (especially the truffled mac & cheese and the whipped potatoes.) Overall - I enjoyed myself, but this is not at all what I expect from a place with those kinds of prices. Good thing I wasn't paying. It wasn't terrible but I wouldn't go back. I recommend Hyde Park (downtown) instead.

I'm surprised to find so many negative reviews of this place as I feel that it is one of the best steakhouses around (if not the best). So the elephant in the room is the menu prices. This is not a cheap experience and it is a la carte. From the drinks to the menu items, don't expect to come here and not drop some money. I feel that it's well worth it. You wouldn't go into a Mercedes dealer and complain about the cost of everything - you are paying a premium for quality. Smith and Wollensky has a full bar that makes great mixed drinks. I am a huge fan of Manhattans and they make 'em good, a bit sweet, but it doesn't overpower the whiskey. I have had many of their appetizers in the past and have never been disappointed. A personal favorite is the lobster bisque, but it is seasonal. The salads are creative and good. However, if you are looking to save on the cost of the meal, forgo the appetizer and go with the sides with your meal. The sides are huge and flavorful. The do the vegetables to crispy perfection and the fried items are decadent. A personal favorite is the truffled mac and cheese. I love steak and have eaten at a number of "premium" steak houses. Some places present their steaks with sauces and flavorings. At Smith and Wollensky the meat and its aging is the show piece. Steaks are very thick. They cook it to perfection and if you want a true medium-rare steak (as in "fully red, warm center") that's what you get. I have eaten here over a dozen times and they have always been consistent. The outside is seared crisp and salty. They include Bearnaise sauce. You can't go wrong with the Simply Grilled Fillet. Their dessert menu is extensive and somewhat excessive. At this point in the meal, I have always struggled to finish any dessert, so doggy bags are a must. They have a chocolate cake that is rich and wonderful. Finally the service is attentive and friendly. They have always been very responsive to any concern that anyone I have every dined with has had, including taking items back and making fixing any complaint. Again, it is what you would expect from a premium establishment. Bottom line; go with an empty stomach and a love of quality food, but don't forget your wallet.

I know that some people may think I'm crazy, but I really don't love this place. I mean, it's good, but I just don't think it's worth the price. I went for a friend's birthday and my bill alone (for me and me alone) was $140 with tip for a small steak, two veggie sides, and a couple of drinks. Sorry, but I've had better steak elsewhere and for much less. We had a good time and the service was quite good, but I'm probably just becoming too cheap to blow that kind of cash on a meal for one person. Sorry, S & W.

Wine week! I can't believe I actually remember it. Wine week is famously known in the Smith & Wollensky cities as the week of drunken escapades. Anything goes..and it seems is encouraged. A group of my girlfriends and I took Friday off and went for lunch. We knew exactly what we were getting into. There was no sense in trying to convince ourselves that we would be able to work after 10+ glasses of wine! Oh yes, TEN-glasses, full glasses of wine. The "+" comes after the wine week hours have concluded but the servers have open bottles and are pushing for that last bit of gratuity. The wine was good, but you don't really come for the wine. Well, you do, but not to simply taste it and compare the oakiness of one to the citrus taste of another. You come for the effects and for the entertainment: the other guests. One group of women who were seated next to us were know as the strippers. Don't get excited. They we're really strippers. The story is that the last time they were there, the 'hostess' jaguar climbed on the table and took her top off. That's the story. It didn't happen this year. But the wait staff did towel us off. No kidding! We were sitting outside, getting burnt and they seriously brought out a bucket of ice water and a towel, then worked hard for the money. Everything screams TABOO!, but it was wine week. Just like in Vegas, what happens there, stays there.

The location is great and the bread, excellent! After that, well, it all goes downhill. I had an iced tea, potato and small ribeye steak and the total, with tip, cam to $60. You would think for that price the steak could at least be done properly. Ordered "medium" and was advised it would be pink throughout. It was red in the center and torched everywhere else. The waiter told me it was because I was "outside and the sunlight makes it look that way". Never offered to correct the problem. I should have insisted, but didn't, so that it is partially my fault then that I ended up eating about half of what was the worst steak I have had in years. The service? Very slow; except when I asked for the check...and since I paid with cash, he brought the change in a likety-split...assuming the remainder was for him. Overall, 2 stars is generous. I know this is a chain, but even Sizzler and Golden Corral gets their steak right, right?!

Just like any other steakhouse..pretty good but nothing impressive. Good selection of steaks, good service with attentive servers, and good appetizers. The bread is good too- salty, buttery, with a touch of honey and rosemary. So in general, a good restaurant. Just not spectacular.

My husband and I came here years ago for Valentines Day. The service was terrible, the food wasn't great, and it is really overpriced. But I have learned through time that one shouldn't fine dine on V-day or New Years Eve, and so I gave S&W a second shot today. Some coworkers had heard through the grapevine the S&W had a less expensive menu for lunch so we ventured there today to enjoy the patio and some great food. The patio was really nice. Our waiter was super friendly and on top of it. Other than that my experience was the same. I ordered the Ahi Tuna and it was alright but not worth $22. And now that I'm back at the office I have a bit of a stomach ache. My coworkers ordered everything from salads to steaks to fish and not one person said that they loved their meal. The one thing that everyone did devour was the rolls, but I'm skipping carbs for two weeks before Florida. So skip S&W. Next time we're headed to McCormick and Schmicks -Yay, love this place!

Apart from the downtown Chicago location, this is probably my favourite Smith & Wollensky to go to. It's never too busy during the day making for a great lunch spot or somewhere to grab a drink while doing a little shopping. They've got a couple of tvs set up in the bar to keep you entertained if you take a booth/table but the bartenders are always very personable and make for good conversation. There is also a nice outdoor patio to enjoy. They had a wonderful $20 lunch deal on for a while but that is now finished. For lunch, I'll usually get a burger. Always good and fresh. The bread always lures me in and I usually finish most of it before any meal. If going for dinner, you have to get the steak. Not the best I've had but probably the best in Columbus (and that included Morton's when it was open).

Did you ever have an "it's for me...and I'm worth it" moment? Trust me, it's great. And, when I give in to those moments, when I want to do something because I deserve it, when I want to treat myself to a special meal... I'll go to Smith & Wollensky. You probably won't pay more for this fantastic meal... but hey, it's for me, and I'm worth it! :) It's about a bottle of wine. It's about the steak. It's about the dessert. However you want it... it is so worth it. The service was good, the atmosphere was friendly but the food was great. No matter what town you find yourself - Miami, Chicago, New York, or Las Vegas... you really should treat yourself to this great meal... it's for you....and you're worth it!

This place set the bar for steaks with me as did the service which was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. I drool just thinking about this place. Yes it's pricey but I feel it's worth it for quality of the meat and how it's prepared. I went all out. I got a porterhouse steak (when I saw it I nearly whistled and wondered if I had been transported to the Flintstones) served Oscar style with Bearnaise sauce, colossal clump crab, and asparagus (thin stalks- thank you). There's nothing on this menu that didn't surprise me or break my expectations. As soon as I get back to Columbus for a wedding in September I will be hitting this place. Hopefully they will wheel me out.

The food better be good for the price you pay, unfortunately that's not the case here. the steaks are decent but the seafood was not fresh. I would take hyde park or mitchells over this any day. It's a good thing this was a sponsored dinner for how much the food costs. Plus side is that they make good bloody mary's

The Ambiance was very comfortable and a great place for a date. I was a bit disappointed with the meal. The salad and soup were average at best. The scallops were a bit gritty and I couldn't get over the idea of eating sand with each bite. I would never get that again. The BBQ short ribs were good but not great. The desserts were amazing! Kudos to the pastry chef for saving my experience at S&W.

This place carries the name, and I won't disagree about the wait staff's demeanor. Very decent steak prepared exactly as requested, nice treatment but also very dry. My biggest hangup was the prices; I've had much, much better steak at the same or lower prices. Good wine selection, side items were really tasty. Simply not worth the excessive prices in my opinion.

We got the Sam Adams NY strip special, def recommend! Service was ok, waiter was kind of snotty until we gave him our tip. It may have been bc we were the only dinners wearing jeans but i don't think that should matter...If there was a dress code we should have been told that at the door!

I love this restaurant when I am traveling. My favorite dishes are the melt in your mouth Filet, Sinfully cheesy and delicious Mac and Cheese, Crab Cakes, Creamy Spinach and I love the Cheesecake! I wish we had this chain in my home town. It is classy, upscale and has consistently delicious meals and appetizers. Cannot wait for my next trip!

My husband and I just got back from our first and last meal here. $85 for the long bone rib eye and it was..ehhh..ok. overcooked for medium well. They only had their brand of steak sauce which was desperately needed (no seasoning) but their sauce was ketchup....seriously...ketchup with a hint of garlic. The mac and cheese wasn't bad once salt was added. The Cesar salad was bland. The bread was good. No where close to being in the same league as The Top or Mitchell's....Im irritated enough to say Texas Roadhouse too. I only eat rib-eyes but I did have a few bites of hubby's filet Mignon and it wasn't bad. The service was mediocre at best. I wouldnt recommend.

We came here for the steak and it was awesome. We ordered a medium rare steak and the cook was perfect, the steak was juicy, and had great flavor. Fast service, super delicious bread, and the salmon entree was good as well. We went on a Friday evening so it was pretty packed.

First time to the chain and this location. Steakhouses are generally good food and great service. This one had great food and awesome service. Genuine warm service. The food was expensive but really good and was made to specifications. This is a great place for a business meeting.

My fiancee and I went to Smith and Wollensky for a night out this past week. It turned out ok, but nothing too special, especially for the price. Upon arriving, my fiancee and I were shown to a pretty private room. I loved this; there was no one else in the area and it ended up being quite a romantic location. We had a phenomenal waitress (unfortunately I forget her name, but she was awesome) who was amazing throughout the evening. To start, we ordered the "Charlie" seafood plate. It came out pretty quickly, and all of the seafood was fresh and delicious. We ended up having leftovers for later, which our waitress packed up (along with dipping sauces) amazingly. Seriously, she was great! Entrees: I had the salmon, my date had the filet/lobster tail. Fiancee loved the steak/filet, I enjoyed the salmon. We also ordered a side of the wild mushrooms, and they were delicious as well. Dessert? We got the (apologies if the name is incorrect) Chocolate banana split cake. This. Thing. Was. Awesome. I can't recommend it enough; it was delicious! In the end: Entrees were great. The platter we got as an app felt a tad overpriced, but everything on it was tasty. I hate the fact that I ordered a diet coke as a drink and received a tiny bottle, and was charged again for a refill. I get the fact that it's a fancy restaurant, but a fountain drink would have been preferred. As mentioned before, the meal itself was quite good. The problem is I paid more here than at Mitchell's Ocean Club, which has proven itself as the standard in the area. We will probably try this location again, but until then, Ocean Club is still the top of the line for fine dining at Easton.

I went to a Smith & Wollensky in Las Vegas a few years ago and always wanted to go back to one but we don't have them down where I live in SC. I was in Columbus on business and saw this place and could not believe it. Only problem was it was a Friday night and my girlfriend was in town with our newborn. While she does not cry or get bothered by noise we thought we would try and sit in the outside eating area to make things easier. I went in and enquired and the hostess said that would be fine and proceeded to take us outside to where the plan quickly changed as the waiter that was out there got upset and said "no more tables in my area!" He only had 2 tables there and we were hardly going to be difficult customers. We knew what we wanted and he would have got a nice tip for minimal work! Anyways we ended up being seated just inside and our new waiter was much better. He explained the menu although it was not needed. The food was excellent as expected! I forgot how good that Mac n cheese is there! For anyone that is a fan of excellent steaks and a great wine list I would always say see if there is a Smith & Wollensky's around. Would have been 4 or 5 stars but for the waiter at the beginning to get an attitude right in front of us I thought was pretty poor especially when you are coming into a place to spend $50 on a steak...

They are lucky they are even getting 1 star. Food was horrible. 45 minutes we waited for shrimp cocktail. ..had to complain for us to get it. Server was horrible. .. Was here last year and i would of gave them 4.5 star during that visit...totally opposite this time.

Since my previous review of Smith & Wollensky, I've been fortunate enough to dine here on 2 other occasions. I still love the interior decor, I still love its location at Easton, and I still love the amazing service here. I also still love their truffled mac and cheese. However, having been to most of the other prime steakhouses in Columbus within the past year, I am no longer quite as impressed with Smith & Wollensky. Their steaks continue to be excellent... but Ruth Chris blows them out of the water. Since they're in the same price range, I would have to pick Ruth Chris every time. While S&W's 46oz bone-in porterhouse is absolutely amazing, it costs $105. I also have to say that S&W doesn't even have the best steak at Easton. The best steak at Easton is the 16oz NY strip steak at the Ocean Club. I have have struggled with the value proposition of this restaurant. For example, their $22 jumbo shrimp cocktail comes with I believe, either 3 or 4 shrimps. As John D.'s review states, they seem to be charging Beverly Hills prices despite being located in Columbus. They will also charge you $2.50 for a 11.2 oz bottle of coke. With no refill. Where do you even find a 11.2 oz bottle of coke? I still think that Smith & Wollensky is one of the better steakhouses in Columbus. But for those of you who care at all about your budget, I would advise you to look for your steak elsewhere.

Went here with a client and a big group of 15. I have to start by saying how great the service was. Our server was amazing. I had the 24oz bone in rib eye. It was delicious and cooked perfectly to my desired temp. The steak had nice flavor. Oh the wine!!!!! What a great bottle of stags leap. We had one of every side and this nicely filled the rest of my plate. I had cream of spinach, mushrooms, asparagus which all were a good classic compliment to the steak. This place never disappoints.

First time coming here with my girlfriend. Overall, the service was fantastic. Our waitress knew the entire menu and had it memorized, even the beer and wine menu, which I thought was amazing! We started with bread, split pea soup, and a crab cake appetizer. The bread was unique and deliciously soft and moist. The soup and crab cakes were filled with packs of flavor. We then ordered the 48oz Poterhouse with vegetables, macaroni and cheese, and whipped potatoes. My side of this crazy feast was delicious and cooked fine, with the exception of it being a bit overcooked. My girlfriends side was a bit of a different experience. Hers was very pink, while mine was a bit overcooked. It was so pink that it made it inedible. I understand that it's a large steak, but when I'm paying good money for this steak, I want this steak to be prepared correctly and the way I ordered it. Mac n cheese, although unique, wasn't something I enjoyed too much. The whipped potatoes were delicious. Overall, great experience, but again, at such a high end restaurant, there is very little leg room to mess up someones order, especially the entree dish.

When we arrived for our reservation (we had requested a table on the patio), we were escorted to a table that had not yet been cleared of the previous diner's dirty dishes. We then sat there while staff cleaned up. We asked the hostess for a drink and were told that that was our server's job! Unfortunately we waited 15 minutes to see our server for the first time. This terrible service continued for the rest of the evening. Our meals were not prepared as ordered. Dishes were average, at best. The bill for a party of 2, we each had 2 drinks, no appetizer, no desert, was $200. I don't mind paying this much for a meal but it comes with much higher expectations. I don't recommend this place. Walk another 100 yards to McCormick & Schmick.

Stopped in for dinner with a friend. Server was very nice and knew the menu really well. We had the Charlie Smith seafood sampler that was pretty good and tasted fresh. My friend had the Cajun rubbed dry aged bone in ribeye that he said was cooked perfectly. I had coffee and cocoa rubbed dry aged bone in ribeye that our server had suggested. It sounded very interesting and tasted even better!

This place reminded me why I avoid chain restaurants. I ordered the filet au poivre. My wife tried the scallops. My steak arrived undercooked and sat for another 5 minutes while I waited for a steak knife. I really couldn't tell you what it tasted like because it was soooooo over peppered. I know "au poivre" means pepper but I honestly could have been eating chicken - even after scraping off as much as possible, I still couldn't taste the steak at all. My wife's scallops were obviously frozen and tough. The heavy cream sauce didn't help either. Our server was very friendly and was trying his best but he had too many tables and was clearly overwhelmed. When you pay $60 for a steak you expect it to be fantastic. This place is hugely overpriced and well below average.

They had, no doubt, run out of Wollensky's Signature Split-Pea Soup; obviously they opened a can of Campbell's as a fall-back, not bothering to disguise their deception by adding a spice or two. Meh. The meat was fine had we been dining at one of Columbus' fine steakhouse-alternatives which charge at about 70% these creatures charge; at these prices I'd have expected to be dining next to Kim Kardashian in Beverly Hills; the view would have been more riveting; the experience might have been worth it. But in Ohio, the management of S&W might better charge more consistent with the local market, rather than wringing out every last dollar from the wallets of their customers. There was no Kim Kardashian the evening we were there! But, hey, we tried to "let it go" and make the best of this autoenfatuated venue. The food was, maybe three-star quality, so we needed something else to amuse us (I repeat: no Kim!) As we happen to be scientists, we could not help but notice the awkwardness of the servers who kept bumping into one another, awkward and clumsy, tipsy... a study in Brownian Motion. It was good for a snicker or two, but not worth the inflated, excessive tab. Levity aside, this business was a study in chutzpah. Kim would be in her element. One final observation: Anyone besides myself critical of the fact that S&W, which would like you to believe they take pride in the excellence of their product, does NOT belong to the Columbus Better Business Bureau?

Worst steakhouse ever! Everything about this restaurant was a negative. 1. Service was horrible. Our waiter's name was Reshad. At a high end restaurant like this place, the servers are usually more approachable. But it seemed like our server hated his job. He didn't even take his time to introduce himself or expalin the menu. He forgot the bottled water my friend ordered and didn't even refill my water until I asked him. He probably stopped at our table total of three times while we were there. He didn't even bother to check up on us after we got our food or pour the wine for us. I guess we missed the memo that this restaurant was a self service steakhouse. 2. The food was so nasty. My friend ordered the spice aged rib eye and I ordered the salmon. Worst steak and salmon I've ever had. My friend ordered his steak medium. The steak looked burnt outside and rare inside. They served this steak with their "spicy sauce" that taste just like ketchup. Who eats steak with ketchup?? Are we at steak and shake? (But honestly steak and shake's steak would have tasted better than this nasty food) The salmon was not fresh at all. It was obvious that it was a frozen salmon that wasn't cooked right. The asparagus was very blend. It had no flavor. This meal costed us about $200 but probably was really worth $20. It was so nasty. Usually if you don't finish half of the meal and don't want to take it to go, the server would question if anything went wrong. But he didn't even bother to ask us. Not surprised. I didn't even bother to make any complaints. I'll just leave my honest review on yelp so other people wouldn't waste their money on overpriced nasty food and service.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. I went with some of my co-workers for lunch. The restaurant did not have a big lunch crowd and the staff was happy to put together a couple tables for my group in the bar area. The restaurant staff was very friendly and provided great service. My boss recommended the Butcher Burger and this was the choice for most of my party. The burger was as good as advertised. The beef used in this burger is A++++++. The burger could have used a bit more seasoning and I didn't love the sauce, but I still would rank the burger near the top of my all time best list. The price is a little on the high side for a burger ($13), but at least the sides were included (fries and coleslaw). The burger is the cheapest item on the menu as steaks are in the $40 range. The sides for two are also on the high side starting around $10. I will definitely go back to this restaurant for the burger. I also want to try the beef bacon. My co-workers raved about the soup with beef bacon.

Im a carnivore, and love steak. This steakhouse serves the best steaks in C'bus period. Better than Hyde, the Top, Mitchells, or Ruth Chris, this place knows steak, and how to cook them. My last meal there was the Beef Tenderloin Trio. Its 3 separate charbroiled cuts...one with with cajun seasoning, one with a gorgonzola crust, and one covered in a madeira demi glace sauce...outstanding!. With that being said, it can be a little pretentious. The staff can be snooty and get ready to call your loan officer when the bill comes. It is also the most expensive steakhouse in C'bus. My above meal? $45 with NO sides. So it comes down to what you want. I personally think $45 is very high for a steak entree, BUT, its also the best steak dish I have ever ate. Regardless, if your a steak eater, you have to hit S&W at least once...even if it is after you get your tax return back. :)

We waited about 30 minutes past our reservation time for a table, but it was NYE so the wait was understandable. There isn't a great amount of waiting space at the front host area so it was awkward - no where to sit. This is a very nice steak and seafood house and what we ordered was prepared well. No frills on presentation, just good food and portions weren't skimpy at all. Good food, great evening! Just a little pricey for menu items ordered.

Food was decent. Service was great but long wait for the food... I could have taken a nap lol Crab cakes are definitely must try ,other than that I wouldn't go there if It was not for a special occasion. Good wine selection.. I liked it

Went here for dinner with my gf, used the groupon deal. We ordered the porterhouse for 2, grilled asparagus and beef bacon. Grilled asparagus was fine, beef bacon was....just very salty dry bacon strips. I expected thick cut bacon like how Peter Luger does it. The sourdough bread is tasty but damn there's a lot of salt on it, had to scrape it off and it was still too much. However, they do have just regular bread w/ no salt if you ask...found that out too late Now onto the steak (medium rare)...when it came it was burnt on the outside. The bitter crust ruined each bite, and the bone was seared burnt black. However, the service was fantastic, the manager came out personally and apologized and they remade the steak. Now I feel a bit bad I sent back a 100$ steak but if I'm paying that much for a steak it better be done right. The second steak was much better and we enjoyed our dinner with plenty of leftovers. And considering I"m a big eater, (I finished the Thurmanator) and I was plenty happy. Was the food good? Sure, for Columbus its pretty good. still doesn't hold a candle to steakhouses in nyc though. So...end of story, don't bother with the beef bacon (get mac n cheese or whipped potatoes), ask for non salted bread, and enjoy your steak and the great service.

One of the best steakhouses in town. And that is saying something in Columbus, where there are several outstanding establishments. I've been here almost a dozen times, and have been really disappointed only once. The menu is pricy (expect to spend close to $300 for a couple with wine and appetizers) but well worth it. My favorites are the New York Strip and the Ribeye, although my wife typically gets the filet, which is excellent as well. The filet with the bone marrow is amazing! The sides have to be ordered separately but are large enough to be shared. The lobster Mac & cheese is surprisingly good for someone whose not particularly a Mac & cheese lover.

I'm just a typical middle-class person who was treated out by my girlfriend for Valentine's day. I had never ate somewhere that costs as much but I can say the food was delicious. The display and serving of the food was more than I've ever been used to (but you pay well for that!). Such a wonderful place, beautiful seating, kind and courteous staff, and clean bathrooms. Also, the food was delectable, but i already said that. :) Thank you Smith & Wollensky, we'll be coming back.

Host 4.0 Waiter 2.0 Food: taste, presentation 2.0 Property: style, decor, ambiance 2.0 A very disappointing visit, all my high expectations quickly dissipated when 1. They didn't have the main entrée I've been craving. 2. The waiter ssked me if I knew what a foie gras was? Really?! I found it odd and insulting, a question reserved to imbeciles?

After all the great reviews and wonderful things things that I've heard about S&W, it pains me to only rate the restaurant with three stars and not five. Pros: - Sitting next to the warm fireplace while it was bitterly cold and rainy outside. - The Truffle Mac and Cheese and Whipped potatoes were simply amazing - they were basically my entire meal for the night. Cons: - I cannot remember our waiter's name (probably since he offered such poor service), but he was extremely awkward and very unpleasant. He was an older gentleman with a permanent frown on his face. Maybe he was just having a bad day...who knows? - Half of the wines that were on the wine list were not in stock or were only available by bottle. We went through six selections before we actually had our glasses of wine on the table. I can't even remember what wines we had since we went through so many failed choices. - I ordered the pan seared salmon and it was super dry. I was only able to take two bites out of the enormous piece of fish...and of course they were in the dead center. :) - The bread was nice and moist, but was covered in uber amounts of salt. I'm sure I looked funny scraping the salt away like I do with an Auntie Annie's pretzel. Although, this was not the greatest experience...I would really like to try S&W again. I've heard so many great things and hope to be one of the next to provide a five star review!

I must admit, this place had some of the best steak I've ever had! I am part of a family that raised black angus and I've seen all cuts of meat-or so I thought until they brought my son's long bone-in rib eye. It had a 20" bone (I actually measured it with a measuring tape) attached that clinked on my husbands plate across the table. Besides the presentation being so unusually delightful, it's taste was excellent and prepared as asked. I loved my dry aged rub eye and my husbands filet was done perfectly. They are pricey but when you want a great cut of meat it's worth it! The wine list was well varied and we had a wonderful Chateneuf du Pape. I think they could have had a better dessert selection, but my son enjoyed the birthday creme brûlée. The decor is upscale business gentlemanly, and I could see kicking back with some bourbon here. I hope the one in Chicago is as good as the one in Columbus because I'll be back!

I ate dinner here once with my ex-wife. I was underwhelmed by my overpriced steak, and swore never to return. Then a friend introduced me to the bar menu, and now every once in a while I just have to go get a butcher burger. I mean, we take over tables - 6-12 of us, just to eat their damn burger, and drink their drinks. It's a scene. Of course, we may or may not fit in, not wearing suits, not being an older crowd, and not buying their overpriced steaks. The service has been hit-or-miss - some servers are kind, attentive, and awesome. Some, we think our mere "presence" has offended them, and their attitudes shine through. Really though, I prefer hanging with a couple friends at the bar for the burgers - a little more intimate, and the bartenders are a lot more friendly to us, just wanting to drink our drinks and nosh on a tasty burger.

Smith & Wollensky used to be a rare and special thing for me, as it's pretty pricey and I didn't live in a city that had one for a while. I'm glad Columbus does. Since moving to Columbus I've spent mostly afternoons or happy hours there. I love their version of the Horse's Neck - Jameson, ginger, bitters. Really refreshing but still pretty strong. The service can be slow when the bar is really busy but I'm usually not in a rush anyway. When we go for dinner, my boyfriend loves the coffee & cocoa rubbed filet. Their au poivre sauce is one of my favorites, the first time I went out for a fancy steak dinner with a friend many years ago that's what I had, so it's kind of a nostalgic thing to me. Had happy hour plus salads & apps for dinner last night on the patio. Due to the direction the building faces the patio is always shaded but you still get the outdoor experience, which is awesome for sunburn prone people like me. In keeping with the rest of the regular menu, the mussels were HUGE, the grilled shrimp were the size of a fist, the salads (BLT special salad is delish) were satisfying. In winter they enclose the patio so you can wistfully pretend you're enjoying being outside, which is cool too. Apparently they serve brunch until 4pm on Saturdays & Sundays now. Looking forward to trying that on another nice afternoon.

For business lunches and planned business dinners this place has a variety of high end options to please most. The ahi steak sandwich was great. I don't eat bread but the ahi itself was prepared perfectly. The atmosphere is a classic high-end steakhouse, dark woods and amber lighting. Very masculine in decor. Valet makes it an easy choice for evenings when it's snowing or you are wearing your Louboutins. If you plan to park though, it can be a bit of a pain. They also have a private room for large parties and dinners.

In the planned community of Easton. I'm not a big fan of these designed from the bottom up eat, shop and drink until you drop places. Finding the out of the way place with amazing food and fun atmosphere is much more excited. That notwithstanding, I accompanied a work team to S&Ws. I know it's a steak house but the menu is a GD Caloric Nightmare. I would have to come home and do a 50 mile ride to burn off what I would want to order. Looking around at the options, I settled on the 10oz filet. Generally, I don't eat much steak but when I order filet at a place like this, I expect it to be perfect. While I've often times been disapointed tonight was not that night. The steak was expertly handled and exactly how I asked. The sides my team ordered were reportedly good but I passed. Apparently no one bit when I suggested the green beans. Forgot to mention that I started out by splitting a wedge with my boss (is that considered butt kissing?). A glass of cab, skip dessert and I escaped with under 1000 calories. Food was great, service was solid but how about some small plates guys?

This was a wonderful meal. Yes is is expensive, but if you order to their strengths then you will not be let down. This is a STEAK HOUSE. The creamed spinach and truffle mac were fantastic and the Steak Oscar was great. My Husband had the Cajun Bone-in rib eye which was very flavorful and not too spicy. The dessert we had lacked luster for an apple crisp. We will be back but we will likely wait until restaurant week to go, as it is super expensive. It is a nice place for a special meal :)

We went in when they were about to close and they gave us the best customer service at a restaurant I have ever experienced. We we a party of 6 and had all just gotten off work and they took really great care of us. Every thing was amazing. The steak was cooked to perfection and the truffle Mac and cheese was a delight. They even brought out a new dessert for us to try out to get our thoughts that hadn't been put on the menu! I will be back :)

I was there once for lunch. I got the pan seared cod and the cod was absolutely coming from freezer. It was rubbery and no flavor whatsoever. It was still edible , but consider the price I was totally disappointed. It's not worthy to pay +50 to get a piece of frozen fish. This place is over priced. I am not coming back for sure.

Overall just ok. Upon checking our coats and sitting down in the bar area it was freezing, so cold my husband had to get his coat, when I asked if the temp was normal I was told yes and when I said it was freezing, they didn't really seem to care. We started with a drink and they were good, we then ordered the shrimp cocktail app and a wedge salad to share, both very good. Love their big bacon chunks! We were debating between the bone in filet and the ribeye, we are creatures of habit and chose the ribeye, meat was prepared perfectly but had no flavor, this was disappointing. After our $200 check pre-tip we decided next time we want a steak we'll search for something more quaint, less chain.

We came on Saturday after having reservations for over 2 weeks for a party of 10. The hostess was rude to some of our party upon arrival. The server was quite pushy about picking wine and just seemed like he was annoyed to have to wait on us. The restaurant was busy (it was the last day of restaurant week) but I don't think it excused the horrible service. It took over an hour to get our entrees after our appetizers. After an hour wait I was excited for my steak but it fell short. I ordered my steak rare and it was over cooked and just not flavorful at all. This was such a disappointment. I will not be returning.

Fine for lunch, but warning: it's a Saturday around 1:30 pm and we are coming up on 45 minutes plus waiting for a few salads and a hamburger to arrive at our table. If you can afford this amount of time, go for it, but consider this your fair warning.

Love this restaurant! The waiter who served me was facetious yet professional. Hardly ever will anyone pour water for me five times during a lunch. I had lobster BLT and it was great. It could be even better if they cut the lobster into slices or cubes. As for the tuna tartrate, I do not recommend if you dislike raw fish. They have choices of sparkling water and spring water, which is nice because it's free. Dining here isn't cheap but worth it!

A vegetarian haven this is not. If you would like a well-mixed classic drink, this is the place to go. Happy hour ends early, so unless you want to shell out $13-$16/martini, be there well before 6 pm. Actually, the whole menu is on par or slightly more expensive than the other steakhouses in town. S&W does participate in Restaurant Week and similar prix fixe promotions. The staff is able and friendly. During the summer, the half-indoors half out-doors bar is lovely and classy. Dress appropriately if entertaining checking this establishment out. Ask about the story behind the sliver plaques randomly mounted on the walls.

This review may change but after a $250 bill and poor service I just felt terrible for my boyfriend as it was his birthday and our waitress never said a thing but how bad traffic was because it was game day on campus. It was one of those nights that makes you think you were dreaming it was so ridiculous. I'm going to email the GM so stay tuned....I have heard good things from friends. Just a really bad birthday gift and a really sad night. He was so looking forward to our night out. What a class act!!! I will call/email the GM tomorrow but the turn around time and concern are impressive. WOW already impressed.....

Great ambiance but the food and drink really leaves alot to be desired. Its a lot of fun to hang out and drink a martini at the semi-outdoor bar, but be prepared to spend 15+ for that martini. Came here for lunch with my wife, I had a filet which was fine, she had at caesar salad with shrimp. The addition of shrimp cost 12$ and she got 2 small shrimp. Way over priced for the quality. Stick to Hyde Park or Mitchell's for your steakhouse choices. I will say the salted rosemary bread is pretty darn good.

Wow! This was an underwhelming experience. My wife and I went here about a month ago on recommendation of a friend of ours who works nearby. We asked him for a high-end steakhouse recommendation and this is what he chose (actually his boss--owner of a financial advising firm in Easton--recommended it). It was a celebratory dinner for us as we were in the area for our second anniversary. We don't do expensive dinners like this often but the occasion was special. We were in Easton during one of the many winter storms we had so the place was nearly vacant. All the better for us--we thought. We weren't greeted or waited on at the door for several minutes and actually thought we had come in the wrong entrance based in the lack of attention we received (nearby guests told us we were in the right place). Once greeted and seated the waiter seemed nice enough. Older gentlemen, seemed cordial, we expected the remainder of the evening to go well. My filet was not that great. I'm not writing this to pet peeve the place because that's not my mo. However, when I go high-end and pay $52 for my steak, I expect the food and the service to be awesome, impeccable, without complaint of any kind. My wife's meal was good she said. The waiter seemed to have forgotten us. I had ordered a glass of wine when first arriving and was looking for another glass about halfway through my steak. By the time he came back to me and asked if I wanted another glass my steak was gone (I'm not a fast eater so it was awhile). Nice ambiance but the food and service will not have me coming back. I thought I already submitted a review and I was on yelp looking for another steakhouse in the area and realized I didn't review this place like I thought. It's another special occasion for me and my wife (she's in the Navy and just received Sailor of the quarter and Recruiter of the quarter for her division) so we are headed back to Easton to celebrate. I'm thinking we will try Mitchell's Ocean Club this time. I'm one of those people that once I find a great place I keep going back--maybe Mitchell's will be my place for steaks when we want to indulge. Maybe we just got this place on a bad night but I will not be spending more of our hard-earned money to give it a second chance.

I've been here quite a bit but feel like it's "jumped the shark" as of late. The last 2 times I have been here it hasn't been a great experience. I made the mistake of visiting during an OSU sporting event. Rather than pay attention to the customer, the 21 year old bar waiter was watching the game. I spent $500 and had a client with me. The waiter didn't know his head from his behind and would take 20 minutes between table visits. The seafood tower here is awesome and they do have the best Martinis on earth. I'll come back for those alone. They need to stop resting on those laurels though.

Nike's mission statement and vision for it's customers are "Just Do It." The same easily applies to Smith and Wollensky @ Easton. Don't think about it, just do it. My sweetheart and I went last night for dinner and Nate took care of us every step of the way. We ordered from their recommended wine list a bottle of Chardonnay which was outstanding. Not too heavy and yet compatible with a very hot summer night. We started out with the tomato/mozzarella appetizer which completely rocked. If I had one wish I would have more mozz added to it (I'm a die hard) but the balsamic they used was incredible so it was not a miss of any kind. Each of us ordered 10 oz filets mine was Oscar style and his was with the crusted Gorgonzola. The chef was spot on regarding the temperature of our meat. His was perfect and mine was as well. We split two sides enough to share by two: the Roasted Asparagus and the Lobster Mac N Cheese. We killed both they were both made beyond perfection both in taste and in presentation. For dinner my sweetheart had ordered a piece of chocolate cake. Little did we expect it to be larger than life and with amazing whip cream on the side. Total heaven!! We had so much left over we were able to bring home the last portion of our cake for later. The ambiance was hopping on Saturday night. It was a good vibe and with excitement. You could still hold a comfortable conversation and enjoy the rush of the business and Saturday night excitement without feeling like you had to scream at your dinner buddy. :) This was the perfect balance of impeccable service and outstanding food. Nate was the perfect match to our needs. He didn't overpower us and was able to pace us at a good rate checking in when it was most helpful and letting us enjoy our night yet he was never missing or too far from us. He was perfect for us. Shawn, our General Manager, came by to make sure everything was perfect and it was. When you go to S & W on a Saturday night at Easton just skip the running around the parking lot looking for a parking space. They provide valet for $5 and it's worth the ticket. Let these folks handle your car for you and make it easy on yourselves. We hardly had any sort of wait getting the car back to us and it made for a stress-free night. Loved our experience at S & W and are looking forward to returning in the near future!!

I hate to say this because I loved my experience at the Smith and Wollensky's in Chicago but the location in Columbus needs much help. The chef should know how to cook at steak to perfection at a steakhouse but it seems the one at this location, or atleast the one working on March 29th needs training. We went for a friends birthday and two of us ordered filet mignon's medium. Both came out well done and they had to be sent back. Even though we received steaks that were a bit better temperature wise, I felt like I was cutting a sirloin or hamburger and not a filet. I was very disappointed with our dinner and so was my husband who got the sword fish. The only good part of our meal was the roasted mushrooms. I will not be going back to this location and dropping $200 on a lousy dinner.

What do you get when you mix decent food, a high price-point, wine and a dash of pretentiousness? Smith & Wollensky! But I say this with the utmost love and affection. I really do. The best thing about Smith & Wollensky, in my opinion, is Wine Week. Twice a year you order off a pre fix menu while getting to sample all sorts of wines. Of course, the best day is Friday (and it's also the most popular) because they just want to get rid of all the wine. Lucky us, right?! Patrons are known to come in for lunch and just eat, drink and be merry well into the wee hours near closing time, which for those of us who know how we feel after an entire day of drinking wine, is at the very late hour of 9:00pm. While I very, very much enjoyed myself during my Wine Week Friday lunch - especially the drunk New Albany-types using the men's bathroom because they didn't want to wait in line - I was sober enough to realize my filet medallions were served cold, our servers had a bit of a chip on their shoulders - honestly, I would too though if I had to deal with my party during wine week - and my lunch (I didn't even receive my dessert!) was not worth the $50 even with the two half-glasses of wine I was able to enjoy before I had to leave my drunken gaggle of friends. I'm interested to see how I feel on a regular lunch or dinner night. I have a feeling it might be completely different. Better get on that reservation, eh?

I tried there Cajun ribeye. It was there Specialty steak and I got a side. I thought I was going to throw up at the table. I've never felt that way before in my life.

Wow. Huge disappointment. We went to Smith & Wollensky to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Big mistake. Extremely overpriced. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I mind spending the money, but if you're going to spend over $200.00 on dinner (pre-tip) for two people, it needs to be a fabulous meal and this was nowhere even close. We ordered the mussels for an appetizer, a quarter of them did not open and never should have been served. Salads are nice, very limited choices on salad dressings. The baked potato was very good. I ordered a filet and stuffed shrimp. The filet was good, there were 2 (for $56!) shrimp and they were extremely overcooked and almost inedible they were so hard from sitting on the hot plate. The waiter thought he was funny and had a schtick going the whole night--not what you want when you're out for a fancy, special dinner. Hyde Park has superior food, superior service and lower prices. Will not go here again.

the best restaurant in Easton center. their steaks are great cuts and the service is phenomenal. very welcoming stuff and most of the times I go there they took my order and take care of every details concerns. Their service every year is getting better and better. I enjoy their fillet mignon with shrimp on the side is always my fav app their crab cake is wonderful their cakes are so huge but I like that they bring a fresh creme. I tried many S&W ( houston, NYC, Boston) Columbus location is the best.

I love S&W, and know ill have a good experience anywhere. That said, this outdoor patio and bar is excellent. Friendly staff and bartenders only make it better. I don't care that its a chain or expensive, it's worth it to me.

I've been here a couple times - the first time I was unimpressed w/ the steaks vs. the Ruth's Chris, Capital Grille's, and Shula's of the world. This time around I enjoyed the steak a little more. Had a filet. The food is great, don't get me wrong, but when you're in the "steakhouse" category, you're not going to get compared to Outback. The best part about this place - and the biggest reason I'll keep coming back - is because it has a nice patio... and then they have collapsible doors that allow them to open up the whole inside bar area to the outside when it's nice outside, which is great for hanging out for lunch or a long day of cocktail'ing.

Whoa, that was so good. Not just the food but the service was impeccable, Chip the general manager, called to offer us a re-do on our last visit and they definitely made up for it. Had the dry aged sirloin, i see why people pay for dry aged steak, the NY steak my friend ordered was so different from the Porterhouse she ordered last time, night and day. Steaks were done to perfection, the sides were sides, but the chocolate cake was enough for 5 people. Definitely restoring my faith in great steakhouses. Thanks!

Nothing makes a bunch of hungry tax accountants happy on deadline day like a delicious, juicy burger from Smith & Wollensky. The professionals of my firm couldn't have been more pleased than to have the city's most delicious burgers and fries delivered by the best. THANKS! Don't just think of these folks as a dine in place. They deliver and help with catering too!

Definetly more worth it for lunch, a placed like Smith & Wollensky should strive for 5 stars and was not worth the $300 we payed. We started off with the spicey Beef, Pepper and Onion Flatbread on which the toppings were very good but the crust was very hard. I was expecting a thing and crunchy flatbread, this was thick and hard to chew. My husband had the scallops and asian slaw, the scallops tasted like rubber bands but the asian slaw was very very good. The Wollensky salad was very good, I loved the potatoe croutons and the bacon, the dressing however I did not enjoy, it was a spicy creamy mustard and overpowered the delecate and otherwise delicious salad. For a main course I had the Ahit Tuna Steak sandwhich on which I did not enjoy the mango marmalade, it did not compliment the fish at all, and it was a very small piece, about half the size of the bun. The fries and slaw were good and the side of onion rings was also good and baked not fried. My husband had the Sirlion and Mac n Cheese, which he said he has had better steaks and while he did not enjoy the Mac n Cheese, I did. When asking for a childrens menu for our son the waiter suggested a side of fries or any of the other sides or a regular meal for him. I was really hoping they would be more accomidating to children as I feel and order of fries is not a proper lunch. We settled on getting him the butcher burger which cooked well done was hard as a rock. Overall the food was good, but at that price not good enough and made us cancel our reservation for christmas this year.
