Enjoyed dinner of blackened salmon, sautéed spinach & potatoes au gratin. Spinach was a little salty, but overall very good. A hotel restaurant (Marriott) that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Service was friendly & attentive.

Well maintained, really neat, cool Really enjoyed the time in the restaurant. Supervisors and managers come and check how was it. Well done guys.

Great service, but food leaves a little to be desired. I don't expect much from hotel restaurants, but seriously, hot soup is easy. First cup of soup was stone cold. I think it came out of the refrigerator, but it was tomato bisque NOT gazpacho! Waitress came back to check, explained the soup was cold, she apologized and took the soup. She arrived several minutes later, but get this, the soup was only mildly lukewarm now. I wasn't sending it back again for fear of reprisal. The restaurant was empty so i didn't see any need that the soup had to be rushed out. The cook should know how to use a microwave.

Fantastic! Service and Food Quality both an 9 out of 10. I elected to eat in the lounge and was greeted by a hostess/server with volumes curly hair. She greeted me with a smile and explained the open seating at the lounge. I was served by Katie who had several guests at the bar and a couple of the cocktail tables. She greeted me promptly. She was very warm and hospitable. I asked about some of the Fall Harvest selections and about the steaks. I asked which was her favorite and she steered me toward the Pork Shank. I ordered the Roasted Apple and Acorn squash soup with bacon bits as well as the pork shank. I also asked to see a wine menu. She suggested the Aphotic Red and I elected to go with the recommendation proposed on the menu the Rosemount Shiraz. I originally was only interested in a glass but Katie convinced me that with it being wine down Wednesday that I should get the bottle. Oh my goodness! The soup was fantastic it had just the right touch of sweetness from the apples to give the acorn squash some life and the bacon bits were brilliant in making it savory. I would give this a 10!The only thing I thought lacking was maybe more bacon bits, but absolutely brilliant. I did not wait very long for the shank to come out. Again slam dunk! The meat was moist and flavorful and the cabbage was surprisingly delicious! The presentation was fantastic in fact I plan on writing a yelp review for you and including this picture if you would allow me to. The fingerling potatoes were crisp with a surprise hint of rosemary that I found delightful! Katie did a great job and making sure that my water stayed full and that I enjoyed my entrees. I was still a little bit hungry and inquired about how big the Duck Confit flatbread was. She described it too me and I ordered it. Again an excellent plate a great starter plate even though I had it at the end. I asked Katie about her recommendations for desert and she said that the Buckeye and Apple Pie were her favorites. She was a pleasure, pleasant and was very prompt in her service. I very much enjoyed her recommendations and her service. Please thank her! Despite, the some of the other reviews, I had a delightful experience, should my travels ever take me back to the Columbus area, I would be honored to stay in such a fine hotel and dine in River City Grille!

I eat at River City for lunch at least once a week. They have the absolutely best lunceon buffet in Central Ohio and the best soups in the entire State. I have never, ever, been disappointed there. The menu stuff is very good but the buffet is fantastic. I have been going there since the week they opened (originally a Radisson)

IF you consider this place swanky then I feel bad for you. This was a dumpy bar in a Marriott, but since there were no other bars in the area we stopped here for a nightcap. The drinks were very watery; my vodka tonic was mostly tonic. R's Gin and tonic was also, not surprisingly, mostly tonic water. I guess if you need a drink in the area then you don't have many choices, and the River City Grille knows it and will charge you full price for a weak pour. Lame.

If you have been lucky enough to stay at the Courtyard Marriott near the Columbus Airport than you know when it comes to restaurants within walking distance the pickens are-a slim. It's the Waffle House, McDonald's or Subway-which is located inside of a gas station. Nice huh? Gas and subs together at last. After discovering that River City Grille was located in the hotel across from us I was delighted that I wouldn't be wrestling a Big Mac. When I first walked up to the restaurant I realized it was a little fancier than I anticipated but the place was next to dead so it didn't matter. River City has your typical American fare burgers, sandwiches and salads. They also have a few higher end plates such as Filet Mignon and Seasonal Fish. The prices are reasonable for what you get. I ordered the Club Sammich w/ fries and a side of Vegetable Soup to go. While we waited at the bar for our food I ordered a Red Bull and Vodka. It was $10. TEN DOLLARS. I feel dirty. Seems a bit steep but then again I guess they need to be reimbursed for the 50" flat screen TV hanging on the wall. While at the bar I checked out their bar menu and it had this little treasure: Midwestern Egg Roll Corned Beef, Swiss and Sauerkraut in a Crispy Egg Roll Wrapper served with a Thousand Island Dipping Sauce Total drunkard delight. I'm so going to make that one day. Anyhow the food and service was good. It beats Subway and coming from me you know that says a lot.

I have to admit that my expectations are low with hotel restaurants. Captive audience, not much in the way of drop-in business, and trying to have something for anyone who passes through can lead to mediocre food. I was pleasantly surprised here. Oh, it was nowhere near great, but it was pretty good. Yesterday was rainy. And it was National Comfort Food Day. I figured they would have burgers, steak, meatloaf, basic comfort food. Not really. At least, not at lunch when I went. What they have is a limited menu of sandwiches, wraps, soups, and salads. Plus, a buffet with some of those items. I opted for that- $9.95, and I got to try a few different things. The salad fixings were fresh and good. Soup of the day was corn chowder, which I love, and which they did pretty darn well. Thick, creamy, full of corn and other veggies and with a bit of pepper kick. The wraps seemed pretty plain so I tried two of the hot sandwiches, with some house-made potato chips. The chips were stale. They were probably okay when fresh. And the sandwich buns were hard and dry- maybe due to sitting in the warmers, or maybe stale too. A build-your-own sandwich bar might be a good idea, so that the buns stay fresh and the other ingredients are hot, instead of everything being lukewarm... Anyway, I had a patty melt, which was pretty good besides the bun- beef, onions, cheese, you know what? Comfort food. I also tried the chicken (fiesta chicken, I think.) Meh. Dry meat, not much flavor from the seasonings. The service was great, the place is nice, and the price is right. I might actually go back sometime and give it another shot.

Not very impressed. Staying at the hotel for work and got in late. Got the cheapest thing on the menu ( the Big Mo) which is $14. It was just a slightly fancy version of a Big Mac and fries. Should have gone the .2 miles to McD's and got basically the same thing for half the price... at least I would have gotten a soda at McD. The server and other workers were all very friendly and each person who walked by asked how my meal was.

This place is a half mile from my house and it's one of my favorite places to get a swanky cocktail at. Yes, their drinks are expensive, but I like the atmosphere, like I'm a traveler, but I'm not. The place is really nicely decorated and you can see this great fountain in the lobby from the bar. The staff is attentive and i like they way they serve the drinks, with fancy lime spears and such. They mix a good maragrita and martini too. I think it's fun to go in on weekdays when there's a lot of business people there (people watching delight). I believe on Wednesdays they have half price bottles of wine. I'm not sure they have any happy hour...but I haven't ever been there during an offical happy hour time. The food always looks amazing, especially their salads. Alas, I've not eaten there yet. I'll post an update when I do. But, for now, I like it for an incognito swanky cocktail time when I don't mind spending $30 for 3 drinks.
