The place has great atmosphere and they have nice happy hour specials but the service is awful!! I've been waiting for 30 minutes no one came then I've waited an other 15 min when my friend arrived and they just totally ignored us on a Sunday lol We just left! The only reason I gave 2 stars cuz not all the servers are so unprofessional. But some of them should reconsider a career change!!

$5 32oz vodka pitchers brought my fiance and I in, that's all that kept us there too. It was AUCE taco night and after the first order they come one at a time and they are quite small. They also take forever to come and you have to ask for chips and salsa.. Atmosphere is awesome though. Music is fun and the swings for seats at the bar is unique.

Paid $20 a person at the door to get in to watch the boxing match. We got there at 8pm. They showed no pre-fights or anything. Kept asking when they would be on and the bartenders didn't know. We were sitting right by their TV service area and at 11 you start seeing people on their phones trying to figure out how to turn the fight on. 11:40 rolls around, still nothing. We go to leave to try and catch the fight elsewhere and ask for our money back at the door. Instead of apologizing and giving it to us, the guy working the door gets angry and proceeds to get in the faces of all the male customers around us who also want their money back, and he tells everyone they are keeping our money. Expressed my concerns on Facebook, received a response from management stating they actually had the fight on time which was a lie. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience, they say, "thanks for understanding how corporate America works". Even if the fight eventually came on, which I wouldn't know because I found a better place to go catch a majority of it at 11:40, I didn't pay $20 a person to miss all the prelude fights, introductions, and very beginning of the big fight. What a rip off. The least they could have done is apologize and give me my money back like good customer service should have. Their rude and unprofessional response to my last review just solidifies how badly they suck at treating customers. You couldn't pay me to come back here!

Had decent food but the service was slow. $2 burgers on Wednesdays is great. Try to avoid if crowded didn't seem prepared for events at convention center.

This place discriminates against gays. Beware. Been here twice and they will not wait on you. (Unless a female is bartender). The male bartenders won't wait on you Came today with a friend and he found out quickly how they will walk past you and ignore you until you make a seen. Unless you are a straight girl, forget getting service here. Or you better be with a hot girl

Went there last night to watch the Fight. They false advertised saying they were going to show the fight. we asked the manager and he said that its the direct tv or the channel that is not playing the fight...and not their bar. Called few friends who were at other bars around polaris if they were showing the game, and THEY WERE! this manager lied right on my face. Thats disgusting, and a wrong way to do business. We had asked few places around if they were showing the games and those places had integrity and were very honest enough to say that they were not. Park Street Cantina However lied to get customers and then disappointed us. Park street Cantina, you sure as hell are not getting any future business from me and everybody I know.

We stopped in here for an early lunch after apartment hunting and got talked into having HUGE margaritas... and i do mean HUGE! It was so funny because we couldn't really finish them, it was like 11am!!! Anyway, it was a cute spot. I could really see it getting crazy during a game, lots of televisions and enough seating for a ton of people. The guac was good, but the fish tacos were not that great. I am from California though, so don't judge by me.. i know my tacos.. I would come back to hang out and have some ritas... cute area to walk around too. I liked the swings at the bar - what a cute idea.

Updating my already less-than-stellar review to say that you should avoid this place because they cheat their patrons. A friend at my table looked more closely at her bill (photo uploaded) and they added $3 to her TOTAL that is not itemized on the receipt. Steak Fajita Skillet $10.99 1/2 Tres Dip Sampler $14.99 Subtotal $18.98 Whip out your calculator if you go here. It's only $3....but add $3 to every bill and you've got a nice little side business. I did not save my receipt, so I don't know if they got me, too. And it's POSSIBLE they have some policy like "$3 charge to split item" -- but that should be listed one the receipt! Bad business. Period.

Honestly, this was the worst restaurant I've ever been to. Took forever to get our food. The food was extremely low quality. Took 30 minutes to get the check after we asked for it. I could say more. Don't eat here.

Good deal (Taco Tuesday). Nice atmosphere. A bit of a wait to get a server. Water doesn't taste great. Overall glad we came. :)

Racist. Racist. Racist. As a 40 year old white man, I have seen a respectable 30 year old black man be turned away at the door from the rest of his white friends because of baggy pants. Which weren't. In fact the bouncer's pants were baggier than the guy trying to get in. He even went back to his car, changed into shorts and was still refused. Interesting that the front page on their web site has to state that they don't discriminate. If they have to put that on their front page, then they must be getting some complaints. And there is NO dress code for women...so they can look as nasty and cheap as they want and get in. Stay away. Once again... Racial profiling! And from other Yelp reviews and Facebook postings, I'm not the first to notice or experience this. And the postings go back a couple years.

Do NOT go here for the food. Terrible!! If you are looking for Mexican food, this ain't it. I had the enchilada plate. When it came out I noticed the cheese was a very bright yellow. I then realized it was Nacho Cheese sauce... Its for the drunken few to brave through that meal. The refried beans was chili, the kind you get on a chili dog. Could not eat it. I will say if you're looking for a place that has a little atmosphere, dance music and drinks, this place is fine. I was with work mates and we're from out of town. We looked for a spot near our hotel. It looked good from the outside. Service was minimal. The bartender/waiter came by. took some of our drink orders ($16 pitchers of beer) then left without taking all of our orders. Same thing for the food. I went to bar and ordered from there, because all I wanted was food and a beer then go to sleep. I won't go back after the overall experience. Too bad too, If the owners had enough forethought and really brought some truly authentic Mexican food to the table, this would be a great place to hang and eat. Its geared for the younger bar hoppers, but management could really do much more to this. Get a real chef!

This place is pretty legit from all Of my experiences. It's always packed with an upbeat younger crowd. The people complaining about slow service are probably doing so because they came while it was slammed on a weekend. You just don't show up to a packed restaurant and get your food right away. The chips I usually get are hot and crunchy and made in house. Get the Chicken Fajita's. Casey and Matt are very cool bartenders that can whip up a damn fine Margarita. I also like their swing set seats at the bar, brings me back to my teen years.

Here's a caveat. Come here on a weekday during half hour. Otherwise, avoid it. Their happy hour food is cheap, but tasty. The margaritas were good, and you miss out on the craptastic nature of the arena district. It's like Jekyll and Hyde in this place. After happy hour, the douches come out of the wood work, and it becomes like the rest of the arena district.

Unless you feel like being ignored for 30 minutes before someone finally comes over and gets your drink order, I would avoid this place. Once we ordered our drinks, a water and two diet cokes, it took 15 minutes just to get those. We were also served the worst tortilla chips I've ever had. They were cold and dripping with oil. We then placed our food order and our waitress promptly disappeared. We waited another 45 minutes and there was no waitress or food in sight. At that point, we decided to pay for our drinks and leave. I've never had such horrible customer service in my life.

I've been going here intermittently for the last 4 years. I was so surprised to find that now they have a $5 cover on Thursdays?!? What a scam. I got in free at social/park street. Had a lot more people. I'm only not giving one star because I've been here before and it can be fun, when they're not charging.

Experienced racism first hand here. The fact that they are using "a dress code" as a cover up for their bigotry is really sad. I messaged the person that runs the Facebook site for Cantina and informed them that I was looking for a shot girl position. The individual kindly responded back and said that they were in fact looking for shot girls and for me to come in and ask for a manager. I did so. I went in on a Wednesday evening around 7:00. They weren't very busy and I went inside to ask for a manager. The "gentlemen" behind the bar appeared to be cleaning up for the night ahead. I politely asked him if there was a manager available in which I could speak to. He came around the bar and responded back that he was the manager. I reached my hand out to introduce myself, in which he looked down at it and back up at me and asked "Can I help you" coldly without taking my hand. A little flustered and embarrassed at his "not-so-subtle" rudeness, I informed him about the message I had received. He looked around like "Great". He responded, I'll grab you an application. Handed it to me and walked away. On top of the application, it read "Sample Application". It didn'task anything about the position I was looking for and in fact, didn't even have Cantina's name on it. After filling it out, I waited patiently for him to finish his conversation with a group of blondes at the end of the bar. He walked over to me, grabbed the application without giving me the time of day and mumbled "We'll call you" and walked away. There isn't a doubt in my mind that he threw my application away the moment I turned my back. This establishment just reminds me of the very sad world we are living in. One that prides itself on progression but still is stuck in it's old ignorant ways. Shame on you guys.

Service is terrible. Had to ask for service at a place that serves. Place is great as far as environment/vibe. Guac is decent. Waited 30 minutes for cold, overpriced nachos. The cheese wasn't even melted. Live music is okay. Definitely not coming back even if I had a few drinks in me.

This place has a claw game where drunk kids pay $2 for a chance to "win" live lobsters. The animals have to be taken in the back and killed if the kitchen is closed. This is disgusting and cruel. I'm not an animal rights activist by any stretch of the imagination but this is beyond inappropriate.

Was served the tres queso dip sampler with 2 quesos, 1 salsa, and a bowl full of limes- no third queso. When asked for the queso they brought out a third but it was just the plain queso with salsa mixed in. The first queso was literally GFS cheese sauce from a can. The second was chorizo with cheese sauce one dumped on top (not mixed together). All three hadn't been heated even one bit. Their excuse was that every single person in the kitchen is brand new. Upon talking to the manager he blamed new ownership. Neither our waiter nor the manager was surprised about the situation or offered to recoil the cheese.

Came here on a Sunday to watch football. Service is horrible and the Bloody Mary I ordered tasted awful. There are plenty of better places in the area with better drinks and service.

I've been to Park Street Cantina a few times over the last couple years and after my most recent visit I don't think I'll be back. On my latest visit, it was Taco Tuesday so the place was perhaps a little more crowded than otherwise would be at 6 pm. It was about 10 minutes before a server acknowledged our table and 5 more minutes just to get water. The buffet is self-serve so I was able to at least have my meal in a speedy manner. We opted to try their house margarita at the suggestion of a new server for our table. It was sweet, couldn't taste the tequila and was quite watered down by the time we poured our second glass. After finishing our adequate-tasting meal, I attempted to get the attention of our most recent server to get the check. After about 15 minutes I walked up to the bar to try and pay with one of the bartenders or other staff that occasionally walked by. I was ignored and the bartenders avoided eye contact with the few patrons attempting to pay their bills. After 10 minutes at the bar someone got my bill, I paid and left no tip. On a side note, during my visit they were raffling a free happy hour buffet for the picked winner and their friends. It included the taco buffet and happy hour prices for 4 hours. My name was selected and I chose to pass up the offer based on the service I received the week prior.

Horrible. I ordered a beer and got a margarita which was probably the worst margarita I've ever had. It tasted like pure mix. I also ordered chicken tacos. The tacos were good, but never got to taste the sides. This is because I never got napkins or silverware despite asking, and for some reason I wasn't in the mood to eat the rice with my hands. After about 30 mins the waiter grabbed my plate and took it away without even asking if I was done (or noticing that I never got my silverware). Overall, one of the worst experiences I've had. Oh and this was a Sunday afternoon so I can't even fathom how bad it may have been on a Friday or Saturday.

The Cantina was a happy hour stop on a recent sunny afternoon. The good: A fun and funky outdoor area that definitely has a south-of-the-border feel. Swings. Cheap margarita pitchers. The whatever: The waitress didn't really seem to have any idea what was going on. God help her if it was actually busy. The bad: It isn't super clean. The margaritas pitchers taste like ____. The only reason to stop here is if you are on some sort of crawl through the area.

Not a huge fan of Arena bars to be honest, but I do enjoy this place. It is great on weekday nights and early in the day on weekends. I tend to avoid on weekend nights because it is just to crowded but I can honestly say I have never had a bad time. They have food which is always good, even more so if you have had a drink or ten.

Terrible brunch! There was no food or sense of urgency to refill. We ended up leaving and going to eat at north market. They only gave us 50% off the brunch. They should not have a brunch if they don't want to put in the work!

Went back on a Saturday early evening just on a lark.... - and enjoyed a couple of "sipping" tequilas. The bar tender turned out to be a manager and we got to talking. He was nice enough so the conversation turned to our previous experience (see past review). The gentleman gave us his card and told us to comeback tomorrow after the next hockey game we were planning on viewing at RBar. So after the game ends we head over looking for a promised pleasant tasting experience. PLACE IS CLOSED. He said they'd be open from the afternoon into the night. Also, recently went to a summer fundraiser there. They booked 2 fundraisers, and 2 other events (one of which was an Alive event) ALL on the patio at the same time. NOT COOL. Staff was overworked thusly borderline surly. It was an unpleasant crush - folks who might have participated in raffle items and donations pretty much left because you couldn't hear and couldn't move (while in biz casual clothing). Suckola.

So sorry to report that we had the worst dining experience in Columbus here. Terrible service. Greasy chips. And two hours later we did not have our entrees. It's too bad because it is a cute venue.

Its sad when the management isn't surprised when there is a food issue. When the food is cold and they jus offer to comp your whole bill and not fix it, I have a problem. What restaurant has a whole new kitchen staff on a Saturday evening. As a former AGM of a pub, I would have rather closed for 2 days to train than serve bad/cold food. Cold food is the easiest fix and yet no one offered us fresh food.

I've come here before, plenty of times. I'm no regular, but I'm no stranger. Taco Tuesdays... yes. You can't beat $5 all you can eat tacos and $1 margaritas. The margs, meh. But the tacos are actually pretty good! I just went today for their Sunday brunch and woah! $10 for 2 mimosas and a breakfast buffet. They had EVERYTHING. DIY omelet was pretty damn good. Though it's not really DIY, more like create it yourself. There's a omelet dude that actually cooks it for you, he's pretty nice too :) The atmosphere was actually family.. seeing that I've come here more often for the night scene...seeing kids running around and grandmas and grandpas was kind of mind blowing a smidge. But they're actually a legit restaurant during the day, who knew?! I didn't. Random nights are just that, random. They play top 40 and if you head to the back it's more electro. Gets hot as heck what with all the intoxicated dancers body to body...but it's fun if you're in a dancing mood and a few shots in yourself. Their drinks are average and average priced. Hit or miss with each bartender. I can say the service is mediocre and that's consistent. I've never had amazing service nor have I had extremely shitty service. Stop by for the tacos or brunch if you haven't already. You probably have. I'm late to everything :(

Cantina in a nutshell: Hit it for the happy hours. From 5-7 they have $5 margarita/vodka/draft beer pitchers, $5 pizzas, etc. Also, throw your name in the hat for the all you can eat taco happy hour that includes $2 wells, drafts, etc from 7-9 on a random weeknight. The tacos are pretty decent, and the drink prices are more than fair. This place is usually packed, and my friends and I are here usually 1-2 times per week. Sunday is definitely funday! They do an all you can eat brunch buffet from noon - 3 for $10, and for another $5 you can get two mimosas, screwdrivers, or bloody marys. The brunch buffet includes all kinds of traditional breakfast food, like pancakes, french toast, sausages, bacon, etc. but there is also a build your own omelet bar where you just grab what toppings you want from the buffet and they will put it together for you. It's pretty hard to beat. They have a "free" wifi that will pop up on your device, but there's a password on it. I've never asked the password before, but to me that kind of defeats the purpose of "free". The staff here is pretty friendly although the music does get pretty loud and it can be difficult to have conversation. Overall though, I'm a pretty big fan of Cantina.

Bad food, bad margarita, decent service. We paid nearly $10 for a plate of nachos that was mostly chips with probably 8 jalapenos, a tablespoon of diced tomatoes and onions, and "queso" which was quite clearly nacho cheese from a industrial size plastic jug. We could have paid $3 more to add ground beef, which from the looks of our friend's plate, probably also came from a can. The margarita was big, but not very good. Our waitress seemed to have only a vague idea of what was going on. We were there on a Sunday afternoon, so it was pretty calm in there, but it sounds like it could be a fun atmosphere at night, if you're into that type of thing. Pretty gimmicky, with swings at the bar and stuff like that, but that stuff can be fun every once in a while.

After frequenting Cantina many times during many times/days of the week.. I feel like this could potentially be a solid place to frequent....DURING THE DAY/AFTERNOON. First things first - their margaritas are horrendous. Seriously....do. not. order. Not even with the tempting happy hour prices... stick with the vodka pitchers. The swings are the bar, winning. The free chips and salsa, winning. The music, winning. The patio, winning. And they have heat lamps all throughout during the winter. However, let's talk afterhours....yes from perhaps 11-2am....yuuuuucccckkkk. So many people grinding all over you if you're in the main dance area, girls on the bar... not my kind of place... but if you want a night out with the girls and want to get rubbed on, get it guuurrrlll, we all need those nights ;-) Go for Taco Tuesday. It's a must. && their brunch isn't too bad either! For the "Park St. Bars" - not too shabby Cantina ;-) just avoid 18+ night. (Wednesday, I believe).

Horrible Food and ZERO customer service. Three of us went up there 8/22/14. We all ordered food and drinks. My food didn't come till 15 minutes after their food came, and after I said something. Food was cold and tasted like shit. No napkins or silverware till we asked. Server cashed out the orders before she even brought anything to the table!!!! Menu and server both confirmed no lettuce on the tacos, but she still brought the tacos with lettuce. This a premium spot, but with very bad management. The quality of the ingredients are way below standards for a place like this. WE ARE NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS PIECE OF SHIT PLACE.

Agree with an earlier review: If you're not a woman, you're not getting service. Went here for brunch today. Got ignored by employees, had to flag down the waitress if I wanted anything, was never brought the check until I had to flag down the waitress again. However, the tables of women got perfect service and attention from management.

Lobsters were all dead in the tank. The manager removed the upside down ones, picked up another dropped it in and said: "They're alive...see, they're breathing air bubbles." I informed him lobsters breathe water and they weren't moving. He asked "what are you a freakin scientist?" youtube.com/watch?v=IMxu…

This place was not that bad. The patio is a great place to drink in the summer. There are nice swings to sit on. The people that showed up throughout the night seemed to be a little "off". Especially Big Mike or whatever he called himself who threw something at my friend for absolutely no reason. When we confronted him, he informed us that he was from New York City. Well Big Mike, that is 8 hours away and you almost got beat up.

With the exception of the extremely hot girl wearing next to nothing, pouring booze down people's gullets, there isn't much I like about this place. The food is near atrocious, the crowd is worse, and the bartenders, if you can believe it, are even worse yet! Well, particular bartenders anyway. On the plus side, there are three bars in the joint, which is nice. Sometimes there are fewer nauseating people at one than the others. Lastly, there are some annoying swings that are supposed to make you think you're at some Vegas mega bar or something.

  • Michael U.

This review is a little limited as we only went for the $5 taco tuesday night. I've been wanting to try it for a while now and took the plunge. Let me tell you...for 5 bucks it's great. We sat at the bar and the bartender was really great. You get all the tacos you want, beef or chicken and the first round comes with rice and beans. Choice of soft or hard shell. The place is huge so it's not packed like you might think.

Only did Happy Hour, and I don't think it's possible to get better deals. $5 margaritas, or a list of other fruity summer drinks with vodka for those of us who can't handle tequila. Cheap wings, pizza, nachos - and surprisingly good. Friendly service from a cute young waitstaff. Comfortable outdoor seating with space between tables. So your not on top of your neighbors. Easy to bar hop as there's a row of places, fancy to hole in the wall - up and down the street. Facing North Market and a block from Convention Center. Friends from Short North said they couldn't believe the prices - a great deal.

I was sooooo excited when this place opened, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. This bar is dark, dingy, pricey and loud...all the time! There IS a ginormous dance floor, but it can be hard to breathe in. I was so tightly packed at times that it looked like I was trying to put on a pair of pants 2 sizes too small, rather than dance. I think if it wasn't as crowded, it'd be a good place to dance. The whistles are very annoying! There's nothing like trying to take a shot or drink a beer when your eardrums are being busted. Also, who's idea was it to have only 2 urinals in the bathroom. There's nothing like waiting in line to use the restroom only to step up and realize that the drunk guy before obviously hit everything BUT the urinal. However, this place isn't all bad. I think in the warmer temps, it could be really fun. No matter how trashy/cliche/offesive or whatever people might say it is, having girls in skimpy outfits, standing on the bars, and pouring shots to whomever wants one , is not a bad concept, and definitely is a good way to bring in the male crowd, but after its initial "awe" moment, I could see it losing its exciting flare. Overall, it wouldn't be my first choice if I went out.

  • Doug O.

This place is pretty douchey. They ask everyone who walks in on Friday if they're there for their free party because they con out of towners into believing they "won" a party with $2 bud lights. The staff is fairly unattentive and unhelpful. The beer selection is nothing to write home about. The food is at best average. This place is a great time if you're just out of college and with a pack of your "bros," I guess, but if you're looking for an interesting atmosphere, good beer, and quality food, I'd keep walking down the street.

Two words: bar swings! It's true. There are two sets of swings at Cantina, one set is at the bar, the others are just for chillin' on the patio. Oh, and there are also bar stools made of saddles! I was instantly taken back to my time in Cancun when I went to Cantina for the first time. There's a huge front patio, a middle, indoor dining area, and a back area with two more bars for dancing I presume. It was happy hour when I went, and the sun was making me kind of sweaty. So how did I cool down? WITH $5 MARGARITA PITCHERS and chips and salsa. Sometimes at these Mexi-American restaurants you get really watery salsa that doesn't have much flavor. Boy was I surprised when the complimentary Cantina chips and salsa had both taste and substance (and a really spicy kick.) I was expecting island, beach music or something to go along with the ambiance, but instead I got a mix of Journey, Rascal Flatts, and Black Eyed Peas. All are awesome by the way, but I was really confused. Going back to the margaritas, they have FLIGHTS of margaritas (and tequila!) I'm so excited to head back here on a Friday or Saturday night to chimichanga myself on the dance floor!

We got here on a Sunday afternoon just in time to watch the cowboys game! Got a bucket of 5 corona lights for $20 bucks and free nachos for checking into yelp! They were really bad actually they sucked so bad we didn't even eat them! A Okie dokie place to stop for a quick beer & check the scores & people watch! skip the nachos, skip all that...The only thing good up in this joint is the eye candy! YUMMY! Lol

Probably my favorite "big" bar downtown. Aside from the massive tequila list, good live music, plenty of TV's and a ton of space (so you rarely feel crowded), they have really good food and AMAZING homemade salsa. Their margarita list is great, and open bar has all you'd want. Great music at a good volume - and again, occasional bands. There are at least 3 fully stocked bars (not counting wet bars, selling beer when it's crowded), so you rarely have to wait...not to mention, they also have servers if you get a table early, who will get drinks for you all night w/ no need to hit up the bar. Great place to bring friends and have a good time, regardless of your age.

You would think that for the price the service, food, and drinks would be better, but I guess your paying the location and the atmosphere...that is the only reason why I'm giving it 3 stars. Otherwise I would give it 1 star.

Probably my personal favorite bar on Park St., Cantina has good deals, excellent food, and knowledgable bartenders. Of course, being on the park st. strip, you will experience the occasional overcrowding, loudness, and competition for attention at one of their three bars. However, if you get there early enough on a Friday or Saturday, say around nine, you can establish a good rapport with the barkeeps and servers and have some leeway when ordering. Even on an off night for cantina, they provide a fun atmosphere with a great happy hour. For example, a buddy of mine happens to know the manager and while we were there one evening, he hooked us up with some of the most exquisite tequilas, yes plural, that cantina had to offer. The service is usually dependable, and they are always on their game, making sure you have what you want. On the weekends, like the tavern, the patio, and the saloon, it gets busy and can turn into a madhouse. Don't let that deter you. The atmosphere is lively, the music has a beat and can be danced to, and the drinks are top notch. The restroom service is unexpected and a nice touch to round out the establishment. In short, it's a good time with good deals, so tip well.

Cool, all you can eat tacos for $5, saddles at the bar instead of barstools and swings, but still all that didn't help me enjoy it here more. The waiters avoid you, it seems they don't want to give out that many tacos and then it takes forever to get a refill just to make sure you get tired of waiting and finally say you are full. Then you can also chose from beef, chicken or veggie, no mixing so I went with veggie and my husband with beef. I did enjoy the veggies, but the tacos were small, cold and you only get one order of rice and beans which was not great anyways. They only bring you 2 small tacos at a time so it took about 2 hours for us to get 6 tacos and by then we were fed up and just gave up and left. In all not as cheap as one would think at first, so we won't be back.

I went here for the first time on Saturday night. To me, this was just a typical Tex-Mex bar. Nothing super special for me. The prices were good, we were ordering pitchers @ $15 a piece and they had a least 4 drinks a piece. My favorite was the Red Raspberry(but if you don't like sweet, this is not your drink). We also tried the Pineapple Punch and the Just Vodka with cranberry. And we did get a margarita pitcher and I didn't think that the margarita was that good...which is bad because it's kind of a staple for a good South of the Boarder bar. Also...I know it was a Saturday night, but we were there pretty early for a friend's birthday and we had tables where a waitress was supposed to be helping us. We were there for 4 hours and maybe saw her twice. We started getting drinks from the bar because she was never around and when she realized we were getting our own drinks, we never saw her again. I understand Saturday nights are busy and it's a bar, so I'm not expecting 5 star service, but if you realize we've been sitting there for hours and you're getting tips from us(a party of about 15 people), it might be worth your while to stop in once and awhile. I'd come back, especially since I couldn't use my Yelp check in deal until Sunday or Tuesday night and I've heard Tuesdays are all you can eat tacos for $5? Yea, I'll be back.

It's been said here before but needs to be re-iterated. Expect to be transported into an episode of Jersey Shore. That said, the place was pretty nice with a neat layout as far as the big downtown bars go - several different bar areas, big patio. Unfortunately, the night we went to Cantina, most in my group waited in a very, very long line to get in (talking well over 100 people) and I had long since sobered up from our pre-gaming before we got to the door. Once inside, the place was loud and packed, not a bad thing for what Cantina is, but definitely not my preference on most nights. I'll be sticking to my campus dive bars, thanks. Two stars for effort, but only that because of the typical douchy/skanky downtown bar crowd.

I've been to this place dozes of times but never wrote a review. If you're not from Columbus its a nice place to get drinks and maybe some food. It gets busy on the weekends. Good Margs, and decent food. Its a social place.

This place is totally different depending on when you go - Friday,Saturday nights avoid it at all costs - expensive, super crowded. Avoid it these nights, unless you like dancing (I don't) Sunday for Brunch is my new favorite, with a bloody mary bar and AYCE buffet. During the week, for a happy hour, the great patio and prices make it a good pre-Clippers destination.

Meh. The outdoor setting is nice, although the DJ aspect doesn't seem to work so much on a Sunday. It's the kind of thing you'd expect more on a Friday or Saturday. The staff is a tad short with customers. Not mean or anything, they just seem to act like they have something better to do on a Sunday. The drink menu is decent, but the beer selection is pricey. C'mon... five bucks for a Corona? I doubt any bar that charges that much, or a man who would pay that much. If you're looking to pick up drunk college chicks... score. Otherwise... ignore. Maybe it's just not the right night... or maybe I'm just an adult.

This is the mecca of typical downtown bars... WITH SWINGS! Yes, I (as I am sure any other young lass) enjoys a good rope swing and a beer. And I mean hello, they have both here! I have only been in here when it has been crowded and a typical downtown evening, but it has been a great experience. They have all elements of a bar depending on what you are looking for. They have the VIP tables, the dance room, the picnic table area, and an enormous patio. No matter how crowded Cantina may get, luckily they have 4 bars where you can search to get a drink. This is a downtown bar then, so it is the stereotypical downtown scene... thought I would mention this so no one gets confused and mad about how they ended up walking into a place scoured with "bros" and barely clothed lasses. I will have to venture here earlier, when I can actually see the floor in front of me and not wonder what stickiness I just stepped in.... But if a rotating tequila chair, swings, lights, outdoor patio, and downtown bars tempt you... this may be the place to go. But warning to all those who venture here, do not, I repeat do not take the liquid cocaine shot.

Why would I pay $4 for a Bud Light bottle when I can get a Tanqueray and tonic for $6? I wish I could have seen my own expression when the bartender gave me back $1 in change from my $5 bill when I paid for the Bud Light. Seriously, this is extortion, and I don't care who knows. Why are there only 2 urinals in the men's restroom when the bar has room for about 1,000 people? This is the first time I've ever seen a line for the men's room outside of a sporting event. Why is the DJ playing La Bouche and 2 Unlimited? If it's 1992, why am I paying $4 for a Bud Light? Also, did I miss something, or was last Saturday night "Every Female Under the Age of 30, Dress Like Snooki Night"? Ladies - if your boobs aren't big enough for cleavage, smashing them into submission with a Victorian Era girdle is only going to cause you permanent physical damage - it's not going to make them look bigger. The "Tequila Spin" is the most annoying bar promotion I've seen in 32 years on this planet. Basically, drunk asses sit in a reclining chair, while a superchode spins said drunkard about 157 times, then pours a shot of tequila down their gullet, then spins them another 236 times, all while blowing the loudest, shrillest, eardrum-blasting whistle known to man throughout the entire experience. At the end of the night, I was close to choking the dude into unconsciousness with his own whistle cord. Girls standing on the bar in Daisy Dukes pouring shots of Pucker into douchebags' mouths while giving them the impression that they actually have a shot at scoring with them is fine entertainment, but about 15 years late. I can't believe I walked 2 miles in 20-degree temps for this experience. I might try it again around July, since it's much easier to stomach this place in the summer.

A few of us (19 to be exact) decided to stop on in for dinner and drinks when a couple other places couldn't accommodate us the other night. (Totally understandable with it being pride). The Cantina isn't authentic "Mexican" by any means - unless you consider having burgers, shrimp pasta, caesar salad and pizza classic dishes straight from your abuelita's kitchen. Hola! It's more of a hodge podge restaurant. However, that being said, I am glad we ended up here. Our server (aka Miley Cyrus) was great at accommodating us all, and she dished the sass back that night. Loved her! They have pitchers of Margaritas (mixable flavors, and can be ordered a la frozen) as well as pitchers of Vodka drinks... drunken debaucheries shortly ensue. For food, I had the loaded fries (came with cheese and taco meat) and added some sour creme on it. They don't lie that it's a huge plate (as noted on the menu). It was pretty good, nothing like Carne Asada Fries on the west coast but it sufficed - and I had about 1/4 of my plate leftover before I got too fat. All in all, a good dining and drinking experience with a great group of friends =)

My friend and I wanted to check out the place on a Saturday night, and we lined up for 10 min, and was eventually turned away by the bouncer because they were only accepting "25 and up tonight"..Really? Both my buddy and I were Asian but I wasn't ready to throw in the race card. A few white guys behind us were allowed in, then I stayed around to see what would happen to the next 3 black guys. They were also turned away. Ya, come to Cantina if you want to support racism.

I was pleasantly surprised at this place. I assumed it would just be a complete douche-fest with tons of bros and bad music. It was actually a pretty cool vibe inside. People were friendly. Bartenders were pretty good. Drinks were a bit overpriced for what you got. Their $3 shots were basically just coolaide. I wouldn't mind going here again, but I don't think its one of the best places in town either.

I went to Park Street Cantina late on a friday night for drinks. Two words: JERSEY SHORE. I have never seen so many people attempting to mimic the cast of an MTV reality show in my life. Guys with the most horrible looking self tans and girls dressed as borderline prostitutes. This is no exaggeration, and it was definite people watching entertainment for me and my friends. I'd give it 5 stars for the people watching alone. I would like to go back for happy hour or dinner, as I have heard great things about the food and margaritas--and of course, the porch swings.

*sigh* ..... where do I even start ..... I've been there everytime I was in Columbus (which is not that many times) My friend goes there so I'm always just down to go. I do like the people who work there, super friendly, sweet, def. have a good time there. paying $7 + $2 tip total $9 for an long island ice tea at a place like that is not really worth it....especially I felt nothing after that long island ice tea, I had to take another 2 patron shots (also $7 each) People dressed way too casual, I feel like I was at a beach bar in Cali. ehhh if it wasn't for my friend... not the place I would pick to go

I think I would have loved this place as a kid - swings for seats? Calaveras to greet you? Shiny lights? However, I don't think it's really a place for kids... well... not little ones. College kids really. Really really drunk college kids. I'm very glad we came during the afternoon before the bros and...well, before the kids came to play. Anyways, Park Street Cantina is like a cross between Don Pablos, Hooters, and a frat house with a menu that yes, has burritos and tacos, but also pizzas and burgers. This time around, I decided on a pizza since they were a Happy Hour special - can't beat $5 when most the menu is $10/plate! The dish was tasty, filling, and easily could have been shared, especially given the chips and salsa. The flavor I chose was barbecue chicken - nice and tangy with plenty of cheese and a thin crust that was just between crunchy and chewy. It was not as good as pizza from an actual pizza place - the crust was not as flavorful and the cheese a little harder and less gooey than the average pizzeria - but it was still very good, and there are so few decent pizza places offering BBQ as a sauce! The salsa with the chips was also cool and flavorful - not spicy but decent. Overall, solid American food with Mexican-esque highlights. It's nothing special, but you could certainly do a lot worse. :) I will confess I did not drink - designated driver and horribly mean drunk - but the margaritas are huge and served in a pitcher. Not particularly elegant but functional. ...I would probably slop them all over my clothes after a few sips but I digress.. I guess they're pretty strong too, and not a bad price (especially at happy hour). Again, good for the OSU crowd. Service also was pretty good. I'm not sure what I think of the "seat yourself" attitude given the size of the place, but I assume it must work alright. My dining companion made a point of making sure someone knew we were there before sitting down (which as we did have something of a dining deadline, was a good thing), so I don't know how long one might normally have to wait. The server herself was polite and friendly, and good about taking back an item that my companion did not like. Guys will like the place because of the super tight t-shirts that the waitresses wear. The male bartenders on staff weren't too hard on the eyes either, though. There's also a real party atmosphere, enhanced by the set up, with what appears to be a total of three separate bars. The main one is set up in the "plaza" when you first come in, and yes, some of the seats are actually swings. I bet those are fun after a few margaritas. There are also cowhide chairs in dark corners, wooden benches surrounded by wrought iron and calaveras, and other arrangements that can cater to a party with the bros, a girls' night out, or maybe even a romantic dinner. Music varies - it was interesting listening to it go from hip-hop to country to pop and back again. I heard there is dancing here too, at times, so maybe worth checking out, though presumably this would be only if you really like the bill-board top 40 given the general feel of the place. The ambiance would be great fun for a salsa party, though. I would note that the tables can be a bit...sticky. The menus when we first picked them up had what I think was leftover salsa on them, and the dishwasher hadn't completely removed the last of the cheese from an earlier diner. We didn't use them, so it never really was a problem, but something that might be improved on. The cantina does offer coupons online and has various specials. Overall, a good place for relatively inexpensive drinks, a fun atmosphere, and decent food.

Park Stree Cantina combines three of my favorites into the perfect atmosphere: Mexican Food, Good Drinks, and a Great Outdoor Patio. It is also easy on the pocketbook, on Tuesday evenings they offer an AUCE taco special for $5 and $5 margarita pitchers. Where else can a guy stuff his face for $10??? Throw in their outdoor patio on a warm summer night and easily I am transformed into being on a Mexican Riveria. Now if we could just transform downtown into a beachfront !!!!!!

First visit here was on a Tuesday night for $5.00 all you can eat tacos. The atmosphere was good and casual and it's a really big location. I'm sure it gets really packed in the summer months as it's an open air restaurant. The food was OK and service was a little slow from our waitress. I would go back to visit if I were in the mood for tacos! Good place for a younger crowd.

I can't speak to what this place is like before 10pm, but after this is a nasty dirty place. There are a bunch of nasty girls and gorilla juice heads looking for some ass. Most people are soo sloppy drunk that they spill drinks all over the club and its just nasty!

WHAT BAR IN OHIO CHARGES 21+ FEMALES $5 ON A WEDNESDAY TO GET IN? You guessed right, Cantina. I am over my lover affair with Cantina and will be making sure all the effort I have made to bring business to them will be undone. In addition to paying my $5 dollar cover I had the privilege of having a cigarette thrown on me by some drunk guy, a bouncer almost take me down he bumped in to me so hard, a dance floor that reeked of BO and a night full of early 2000 music that wasn't that good the first time around. How do I fall out of love quickly? Be a rip off, smell bad, abuse me and waste my time.

Everytime I've ended up here the staff has been rude and advertised specials change depending on who you talk to inside ...I went for $1 margarita night only to be told after two rounds I couldn't get anymore cause I needed a wristband ...then was told guys were'nt allowed to have wristbands then I tried to ask a nice young lady to help out which she did only to have the bartender deny her because I asked ...total bs...then I happened to leave my atm card in 1 bar and had to go to this one to get it only to be told I gotta wait two hrs to get it after I called and the voicemail said different ...DONE WITH THIS PLACE ...

Great outdoor space with fun swings as seats. Food was average, nothing to write home about. Servers are a bit on the slow side. Stop by if you're in the neighborhood, but don't make it a destination spot if you're not.

Love the Cantina. Love that it's mostly outdoors. It's great for Spring and Summer nights. The vibe is always fun here - with lots of people partying it out. It makes me feel like I'm somewhere more tropical. Cantina is fun. If you want to dance your face off, go here.

Not making any accusations against the place, but I may or may not have been roofied/drugged here. I won't bore you all with the horrific story, but signs pointed to there was a good chance it did happen. I highly doubt it was an employee/bartender who did it but more likely a horrible person who I happened to be standing near. I looked up online after this incident (late January 2011) and apparently there were multiple people reporting similar stories in the area who had been at Cantina around this time frame. JUST SAYING. So beware. Minus the whole "might have been roofied fiasco" this place is alright. They could pony up some money to get some better looking girls to dance on the bars or at least offer to pay for their gym memberships. JUST SAYING. Avoid the dance floor at this place - it has the nickname black hole for a reason (and no it is not related to race so chill out). The one sorta shining star about this place is the LOBSTER TANK. If you're a PETA advocate then this will cause you great distress, but there's a lobster tank and you insert some money and then there's a claw that you try to grab a lobster with (think of the stuffed animal thing). Of course the claw is designed to make the lobster slip out from your grasp. BUT if you're like the 1 in 100 people who do catch a lobster, they'll cook it up for you for free. Just keep in mind lobster at a Mexican bar so don't be expecting the world or anything.

After being closed for the winter, what was Spice is now up and running again with a much more south of the border feel. Cantina recently debuted a new hispanic themed bar and dance club, but with still the same ownership and much the same organization. Dance floor in the back, dining tables in the middle, and an open air patio out by the street. I went Thursday night, which happened to be ladies night. That meant 3 dollar martinis and dollar tacos. Both were better than I expected, usually discount food and drinks tend to taste... discounted. The music was typical top 40, but I actually caught them playing a line dance in the back room that I'm even embarrassed to hear at weddings still. The bartender I got drinks from was a bit rude and seemed uninterested. Our server took ten minutes to bring back out our card. So basically, service was typical (given the area). I'm definitely going back regardless, I love the way they redecorated and hope that they keep up with things. Love the nightlife on Park Street!

This was the 2nd stop our coworkers and I made on our night in downtown. We ordered some drinks, talked, met some people, and danced in the nightclub. Out of the three bars we hopped around, this was the best one. The place was packed with a ton of people, but it was still reasonably large enough to accommodate a patio area with several tables, a bar, bar swings, and a nightclub in the back. The music was okay, although the DJ put on some weird folk/country in between some of the hiphop/pop. Will update this again if my coworkers and I decide to go back tomorrow night.

I have been meaning to check out Park Street Cantina since they opened a few weeks ago... Happy to see that space back in use!! I have thought about going a couple times, but, just haven't made it in until we randomly got a call last night(Tuesday) to meet some people there for a beer... We walked over around 10:30pm and it was packed(the MGMT concert at the LC had just ended)!!! We only hung out at the front bar (near the bar swings) and chatted with a couple friends for about 45 minutes... We saw a few people take rides on the tequila chair (which does not look like a good idea for me) and watched the end of the basketball game on the giant screen on the patio. Our visit was cut a little short due to the fact that a Thunderstorm was barreling toward downtown... The Margarita Pitchers looked nice and refreshing... I will definitely give one of those a try next time I go there... Cantina seems like a good happy hour place or a Friday/Saturday night on the town. Looking forward to trying some of the food... Hope it is better than some of the other Mexican places in downtown. I will definitely add to this review after I check out Cantina a couple more times.

I am with Christina on being a big fan of the bar swings!. If you are there early enough and reserve yourself a spot on one of those things I am sure you in for a long night of endless tequila and draft beer. The huge outdoor patio is a big winner in my book along with the abundance of bars to order from makes it a speedy process in getting the drink you want.

I went to the Park Street Cantina for my first time last night (2/14/12) after seeing a banner add on ColumbusUnderground.com for their $5 all you could eat tacos. Seeing as I was going to have to spend Valentine's Day alone, I couldn't think of a better way than to shove fist fulls of cheap tacos down my throat. Honestly, my expectations going in were very low. For $5 I honestly thought that I was going to get some cheap salsa and chips and then some microwaved taquitos on a plate with runny sour cream. I was wonderfully surprised that it wasn't that way at all! Mind you this was my first time there. I walked in about 5pm and was greeted by a bartender at the front bar right away. I walked to the back bar (the tequila bar?) and sat down. The male server immediately greeted me and handed me a menu. I asked about the specials and he was very detailed. I ordered the beef tacos (options were chicken, beef or veggie). He put the order in and brought out a basket of nachos with salsa. Immediately I noticed that this wasn't canned salsa with bagged chips - this stuff was fresh! The salsa as tangy and fresh with fresh cilantro. The chips were so fresh from the fryer that they were still hot and a little greasy; fantastic! So right off the bat I was fairly impressed. When the tacos came out after just a few minutes; there were two soft tacos with beef, fresh lettuce, cold sour cream, fancy shredded cheese, Spanish rice and refried beans. He then bought over two types of hot sauce. This plate by itself was worth the $5. The taco beef was hot; really hot and freshly browned. The beef was very beefy - but that's it. It was just browned beef with no other spices or flavors. But once I added the other goodness on the plate it was all worth it. Next I ordered the chicken tacos. This time the refill plate was less generous; sans the rice and beans, but still with the fresh lettuce, sour cream and cheese. The chicken was better than the beef. It wasn't grilled, but tasted baked and was roughly diced with texture. It was good enough that I ordered it again for a total of 6 tacos. I was quite full at the end! Service was C+. The female server was nice and chatty. The male server gave the minimal amount of effort and I thought I heard the female server ask him about his hangover (at 5pm? wtf? How long did the party last night last?) which could explain his lack of motivation. Overall my first experience here was great - however with it's theme and space, I could easily see how this could turn into a "jersey shore" esque bar on a Friday or Saturday night, especially in the hot muggy summer. I will be back for $5 Taco Tuesday and might even venture in for a regular meal - the menu was full of items that might be worth trying.

This is another local bar I visited with some of my teammates while in town for the ASA "D" States. The Cantina is a cool place to come hang out and watch games, especially late afternoon/early evening. The place ended up getting packed, but that's what you want - isn't it. Again, I never ate here so I can't comment on the food, but a good place to come have a few drinks with friends.

My friends and I went to visit a friend in Columbus last weekend and had an overall blast. Unquestionably, the low point was our experience at Park Street Cantina. After being there for 30 minutes, one of my friends, who has both heart and kidney problems, started feeling faint (a common symptom of her medical conditions.) A glass of water usually solves the problem or at least makes her feel better. I don't know what the names are of the two bartenders who were working at the bar in back on Friday, 8/27, but I have never met two more inconsiderate women in my life. When I asked for a glass of water, I was told "we don't have water at the back bar" so I'd either have to go elsewhere or buy their bottled water for $3. They could literally see my friend standing in front of them with her head down on the bar and neither of them batted an eyelash. I assured them this wasn't a situation of someone having too much to drink and that it was an emergency as the fainting tends to happen rather quickly. At this point, they moved on to helping other customers and flashing me dirty looks when I repeatedly asked for their help. A security member happened to be nearby, so I explained the situation to him and he said something to one of the girls, who I then watched put a glass under the faucet UNDER HER BAR and fill with water. Apparently this bar promotes lying to its customers. I got the glass of water to my friend just in time to watch her collapse to the ground. She came to quickly, disoriented, embarrassed and understandably upset. We then had to go home to tend to her health. This situation 100% would have been prevented if either of these bartenders had one ounce of compassion in them. Our first of two nights in Columbus was ruined by Park Street Cantina. It goes without saying that I will not be back. My friend who lives in Columbus, a former regular customer, will also be letting others know just what kind of service you can expect from Park Street Cantina. I'd give this establishment zero stars if I could.

I was recently the recipient of a $101 bar tab at the Cantina courtesy of CD101. Needless to say I was excited for some free booze and chips and salsa. I gathered 10 of my closest friends (which happened to include some strangers from another party) and set up at the bar. We ordered several pitchers of margaritas over two hours, the peach, mango, sangarita, and a specially made strawberry banana. The drinks were very sweet, and as juice they were quite delicious. Unfortunately we were there hoping for alcoholic beverages and all the items we tried seemed to be very weak. This was my second time at the Cantina and my friends and I had the same reaction on opening night. They have a wide variety of tequilas, but they use the cheapest and weakest one in their margarita pitchers. Sadly disappointed. Don't know if I'll be going back for happy hour but the decor and outdoor area is absolutely fantastic. Where else can you sit on a swing and relax with your friends.

The Place: Cantina is located on Park St. between Park Street Tavern and Gaswerks. Cantina is a fairly large bar. Enter through a gate into a partially covered patio. There are lights strung through and hanging from overhead trees. The patio contains somewhere between 10 and 15 tables - some picnic-style, others bar-style. There are also a few patio-swings hanging from the trees. There's a bar in the center of the patio, and a few swings hang in such a way so as to act as bar-stools - pretty cool. Garage doors open inside to two bar-areas - one located south of the patio (with 10 stools along a wall-bar, some TVs, and the bathrooms (clean!)), and the other located west of the patio (with a U-shaped bar with maybe 20 stools, TVs, and a seating area with 5 or-so tables). The 2nd bar opens further into a dance area, which has its own bar. The dance area is pretty large - probably one of the largest in the Park St. area. The whole place is clean and well laid-out and designed. No complaints. The Drinks: 14 options on the margarita menu (including the house-special Sangria), 13 named mixed drinks, 7 wines, and 7 Mexican beers (Dos Equis (Lager & Amber), Pacifico, Negro Modelo (& Especial), Tecate, Corona (& Light), Bohemia and Carta Blanca). Some other run-of-the-mill beers on draft as well, along with a full bar, and a Tequila selection that tops out at 89 labels ... CRAZY NICE! The Food: Full menu that includes 8 Mexican appetizers, 9 American appetizers, 5 salads, 16 taco (and taco-esque) offerings, 4 Mexican entrees (including fajitas, enchiladas and burritos), 8 types of pizza, and 5 burgers. Desserts offered: volcano cake, churros, and creme brulee. I like the menu a lot. I've tried several of the pizzas, and they've all been fantastic. I have yet to try any of the Mexican dishes, but I'd expect them to be of the same high quality. It should also be noted that patrons are given free chips and salsa during their visits. Refills of the chips are $2.50 (a bit of a downer vs. most other Mexican places offering essentially never-ending chips, but also understandable because this is a bar first and a restaurant second). The Prices: standard all around. Mexican beers are $4.50, mixed drinks are $7, and margarita pitchers are $18. The Specials: FANTASTIC HAPPY HOUR! 4-7 pm = 1/2 off pizzas (making them $5 per 12" pizza), and $5 bud light, margarita and vodka (mixed drink) pitchers. Other specials on Tuesday ($1 margaritas after 9 pm), Wednesday ($1 Southwest Burgers all day, $2 bombs and $5 pitchers after 10 pm) and Thursday (bucket of min-Coronas for $10, $3 margaritas and $1 tacos). The Service: and here it all comes tumbling down, unfortunately. I love everything about Cantina but the bar-service I've gotten there. The bartender was slow, and wholly ignored sides of the bar from time to time. She was also rude at different times to people in our party. This is commonplace for CGS Group bars, however, so not a big surprise there. The bigger problem occurred when I was overcharged by $20. This is obviously a problem by itself, but it has been exacerbated because I've been working with the management for 3 weeks, and still have not received my reimbursement. The individual helping me has been helpful, but the whole process has been extremely slow-moving, and has put a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. Overall: I like the place/atmosphere, I love the drink menu, the food, and the specials. What I don't like is the service. This is one of my favorite bars in Columbus (and certainly my favorite Park St. bar), but I can't bring myself to give any more than 3 stars because of the poor service and the overcharge and resulting hassle. My hope is I experience better service (and correct charges) the next few times I go, and perhaps then I can give a 4 or 5 star rating. NOTE: when using a debit card, CGS group bars (including Cantina, Park St. Patio, and the former Sugar Bar/future Park St. Saloon) place a $30 preauthorization charge on your card. They do this, presumably, as a sort of credit check to make sure when all is said and done that you can pay for what you've ordered. The problem here is that the charge stays on your account (in pending transactions) for a few days, reducing the amount of cash you have to work with at any given time. As stated, I understand WHY they do this, but I still don't like it at all. No other place I've been to has done this - why does CGS find it necessary?

Okay if you just want to go out to a bar and drink. Other than that, this place is cheesy. As far as the food goes, the sizzling steak fajita's were the worst fajita's I've ever had. So much sodium they were almost inedible. And greasy too. I was with three other people I forgot what they ordered but none of us enjoyed our food. Won't be going back at least not for dinner.

I am from out of town and decided to venture out on the town in Columbus, Ohio. My cab driver suggested that i go to park street cantina. when i walked in on a Tuesday night i was pleasantly surprised by the amount of people that were there. I arrived at "Taco Tuesday" not sure what to expect. I found that the group was a good mix of ages, from 20 somethings to mid 50's they were all there enjoying their $5 all you can eat tacos. What a deal!!...they also had margarita deals all night. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. Once the crowd got larger they couldnt spend as much time with customers which is understandable. I didnt find them to be rude or short. When a bartender is busy they obviously cant spend as much time with you as they would like. The early crowd was quiet and relaxing. As the night went on the crowd became more of a party crowd. Which is understandable, anyone out passed 10 a school night is out to have a party! I had such a good time that i went back to Cantina the next 3 nights. Wednesday is their college night. If you're out to drink and party your face off this is the night to go. If you're looking for a chill night then steer clear of Wednesdays. Although happy hour is 3-7 every day so if you are out on a Wednesday you should stop by during these hours. The happy hour specials are awesome. $5 margarita pitchers(all flavors) and $5 pizzas. They also have $2 burgers all day on Wednesdays. I ordered one and was surprised all the size, it's a full size burger and was really tasty! Thursday is more of a chill night. Its ladies night so they had $3 margaritas all night! The music was awesome and they had a great crowd. Their were some "jersey shore" types but obviously that's not the bar's fault. You'll find tools everywhere you go you just have to learn to ignore them and don't let them ruin your night. Friday they had a DJ that played dance music after ten. It got really crowded around 11 and it looked like everyone was having a blast!. Same type thing on Saturday. Overall i think this place has a perfect mix of a chill relaxing vibe and a party atmosphere. You just have to pick the right time to go. If you want to sit outside and swing and have great conversation with friends come before 11. If you're in the mood to mingle and dance with friends then after 11 is the time. All in all it's definately a place you need to try out!

I've been here for dancing at night when the place turns into a club kinda deal, so I haven't experienced the actual food. ++ Great DJ -- mix of old school rap and top 40s mostly. 'Tis my jam. + The swings are so fun, esp. when you're a tad tipsy. + Drinks are reasonable and bartenders are attentive. Margherita was nice and strong but a little sweeter than I would prefer. + Crowd is young and fun, with your occasional creeper at times I guess but this is unavoidable. - Sometimes they charge a cover. Net 4 stars :)

Please DO NOT eat here!!! Seriously DO NOT eat here. The waiters and management were nice but the drinks are mediocre and the food is HORRIBLE. One person in my party ordered a chimichanga and it tasted horrible and was filled with hot sauce the tacos tasted like eggs. Not authentic! !! I am from out of town and was very disappointed. The chicken wings were ok and the chicken were decent. Please pay attention to the reviews!!!! Do not eat here! Go to North Market. I wish I could give 1/2 of a star.

SEXUAL BATTERY / GROPING / FELONIOUS ASSAULT My niece was there recently and was groped on the dance floor. When she confronted the chump that was groping her he did it again. She then slapped his hand and he turned and punched her in the face cutting her above her eye. Shortly after he left the club but there was time for him to be held until the police showed up since the police were on park street at the time. 1) The manager did nothing and offered no support claiming they didnt see anything and would not review the video surveillance tapes. 2) The bouncers did nothing again claiming they didnt see the incident first hand 3) No dudes on the dance floor did anything to intervene or assist. It took another girl to push the guy away. The police are involved because my niece called them - not this clueless establishment. This hack bar is a disgrace.

This bar is located on Park Street smack dab between the arena district and short north. Criteria for admission into this bar: 1) Are you white? Perfect - come on in. 2) Are you black? Perfect - stay away, you're a gangster and probably going to slay someone inside the bar so you can't come in. No really, this bar is super discriminatory with their practices of admission. They ensure that you look like a certain person and that's all there is to it. This bar would be better off admitting what everyone already knows. The food is not that good - it's bar food. Marg's are weak. Seriously, this place is bombed and depleted. I can't think of anything good - well, one thing.... they have swings near the bar, which are fun.

Ohh Cantina... This bar would have been fun 10 years ago, when I was 17 years old and just looking for loud music and anywhere that would take my fake ID. If there was a vote for most likely to see someone with greasy hair, that would be Cantina. All in all, its not actually THAT bad, they have a few drink specials such as Margarita pitchers and the brunch is actually their not well known forte. I had to force myself to talk about their drinks and food because I was getting uncomfortable thinking about how sweaty that place is after midnight.- Carson P.S. The guy at the door is the owner, a really nice and personable fellow! Also, WHY THE HELL DO YOU SET FROZEN TYPE DRINKS OUT FRONT OF THE BAR?? WHEN THEY MELT, IT IS REPULSIVE AND VERY UNINVITING TO THE PATRONS WALKING DOWN THE STREET.

By far the worst bar / club I've ever had to experience. Park Street Festival got rained on, these guys wouldn't let me in with a beer from the festival... Left a man in the rain with his draft beer.. In a non-polite fashion. If you're a man that works for a living and rock a 5 o'clock shadow, the bouncers will be nipping at your heels just waiting for you to be bounced. I couldn't even finish a whole beer before being sized up by two bouncers waiting to act tough. On the other hand, ladies can do anything and everything they want. It seems heavily staffed by males that prefer to cater to only a young 20 something women crowd. Not a place for grown folks.

Zero stars, this place is a dump that should be burned to the ground. Forever done patronizing this place. Sexist staff, even worse patrons

Food was awful... but a wonderful place to drink. The draft pitchers are small but a good selection of cervezas . Gets very very busy at night and we had a lot of fun... but once again I would never ever eat here again

My friends and I were in the mood to dance tonight, and our first thoughts went to the Park Street area. When we arrived, my female friend and I started dancing on stage. Things turned ugly when I invited my male friend to join and he was promptly KICKED OUT OF THE CLUB. The moment he joined, he was pulled off stage and shoved out the back door after doing NOTHING wrong. I am beyond upset at how sexist and discriminatory my experience at Cantina was. I am horrified that this is allowed and encouraged. You could not pay me to go back here.

The absolute worst. The food was horrific. We ordered tacos and the beef was burnt as though it had been reheated in a skillet like 10 times. I couldn't even chock it down and was genuinely terrified about getting food poisoning. We left a $6.00 tip and our card was charged for a $36.00 tip. I have called like 10x and left multiple voicemails and an email and no one has contacted me back. The place was so dirty. Old beer bottles and plates of food everywhere. Not how I remembered it a few years ago. Disgusting. Do not go here. Horrible food. Horrible customer service. Horrible management.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
