DELICIOUS- I'm not a huge gyro fan, but if I am going to have one- it better be from Loops. I also love their hot dogs! It is a Chicago-style eatery with fast and friendly service.

This place is solid. Delicious gyro. Delicious chicken parm sandwich. A variety of sandwiches and pitas. Something to please everyone. Not crazy about the poppy seed dressing on the cole slaw, but otherwise this place is a good fast option.

Fast food greek, with a twist. I got a steak classic with feta. Not too bad. What will keep me returning are the fries. These fries are truly from Mount Olympus. These fries taste like Zeus commanded Hermes to gather up all of the top-notch potatoes from Earth, drop them off at Hephaestus's forge for cooking and after being deep-fried Aphrodite grooled over the entire batch.

YES! THE FRIES ARE AWESOME! The place is super clean. It takes awhile for the food to be ready (10-15 minutes). If there are too many people in the lobby you'd have to really listen for your Ticket # for your order. The seating area seats about 50 maximum. The Spicy Gyro Roll is favored better than the Buffalo Gyro Roll for me! Love the Hotziki sauce that comes with the Spicy roll. Boyfriend got the Kronos. It was loaded with chicken and gyro meat. I suppose you need to request lettuce, tomatoes and 'ziki sauce to balance the meal. But he loved it as it was. I took a bite and thought it was good, too! But again....The FRIES are DELICIOUS! Super crunchy with what seems like they sprinkle a parmesan garlic salt on them! Will go to Hellas up the street soon! I am still pretty partial to a certain Whitehall Greek restaurant (The Mad Greek) that has a fantastic Gyro and Gyro Salad.

Feta fire! This is one of my favorite things. Try it on the pita nachos. The fries are awesome. Only negative is that the last two times I've tried to call ahead for carry out no one answered the phone.

This was my first time here. I loved how the menu was so simple and everything was reasonably priced. For 6 dollars, I got a classic gyro, and it was more than enough to fill me up. Though this place had a fast food feel, the quality of the food certainly was not. Many greek restaurants tend to make the gyro meats too salty, but the thinly shaved meats served here was flavorful, not salty at all. I also got the fresh hummus with warm pita. For 3.95, I ate that hummus as appetizer for the next couple of meals. Pretty good hummus, though maybe it would've tasted even better if it had a hint of lemon. Overall, yum! Next time I will try the spicy roll!

This place is A-OK. Simple menu but tasty. The interior decor is pretty shitty though...but what do you expect? I got the Greek Town gyro and it was pretty loaded up with sauteed onions and peppers. I was happy they weren't stingy with that. I'm also glad that they carve their own meat rather than having pre-cut slices. It tastes better this way. Oh, and their fries are SO GOOD. This location isn't near where I live so I can't imagine going more than once every so often, but, I'm glad I did try something new.

I love me a Dirty Frank's dog, but give me Loops any day. Loops has a really great Chicago dog. And those fries! Those fries are like an angel. I can't just get a dog since tasting those fries. I must combo it. The interior doesn't inspire staying for hours on end but it is clean and fast and there is definitely a place in my life for that. Additionally, I love the theme of a Chicago el station. It's adorable and totally works with the product. The service is pretty fast...I don't think I've waited more than 10 minutes for an order and this place is almost always open and never crazy busy (at least when I've been there). Take out is super easy too if you are on the move. It travels well. I've actually had the boyfriend get carry out the nights I have to stay late at work. Loops to me is the diamond in the rough hot dog place I've always dreamed of. And it can be yours, too!

The FRIES are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, I really like the buffalo chicken wrap. The Fries are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! Gyro is good too. THE FRIES ARE FREAKING AWESOME!!!!

  • Rob W.

Some of the freshest Greek food I've tasted and the fries are AWESOME! The owners are really friendly and the staff is great! Even if you have a gluten or dairy allergy they'll make a gyro on top of a bed of fries and you can get the fries seasoned without the parmesean cheese. I've definitely a regular there!

  • Allie L.

Eat a Loops if only to try their fries. YUM! I usually get the gyro (also good). They make the food on the grill right there and there are TVs if you're waiting. I don't really like eating INSIDE Loops. It's a bit bright/stark and usually there are people waiting for their food staring at you while you eat.

  • Marshall S.

I really liked the food but they could honestly use less meat in their gyros (hard to believe, right?).

Not a Windy City native, but have been there a dozen times or so. Ive gone to Loops about 4 times now, and everything is de-lish. Gyros are off the chart...lots of meat and fantastic Tzaziki sauce with a perfect garlic balance. Their Chicago beef sandwich is on point too. Even the dogs replicate good Chi-town grub. We will be going back.

The Loops Dog is pretty good but the peppers really should be chopped. They're to crisp to sit whole on a hot dog. The dog itself was ok, a little tough. Enjoyed the relish and pickle quite a bit. The Chili Cheese Dog, at first glance, looks like everything you'd want; tons of semi melted cheese and lots of chili. When I opened the styrofoam box I was pretty excited but after the first bite I fought off a tinge of nausea. After finishing the whole thing (yeah I did) I had to put my car in Park and wait for the nausea to pass. That was it, I didn't get sick; hence the 2 stars. The Gyro Rolls are pretty excellent. I don't like the interior of this place at all.

Yay, I AM a fan of Loops! It's not my favorite gyro in Columbus, of course- that's a throne I expect Apollo's will occupy long after good sense has proven me wrong thrice over- but Loops is far better than merely serviceable, and has some real gems on the menu to boot- and I've only been there twice, so there is undoubtedly a gem or two left undiscovered! First, let's get it out of the way: Loops is not perfect. Its atmosphere is a bit too far gone on the sterilization kick, all bleach white and polished chrome and... eck. Too bright, too clean, too unnatural. And am I mistaken, or are those giant televisions ALWAYS tuned to sports? Even CNN would be an improvement once in awhile! Anyways, here's what I love: the fries. Oh God- the fries! Spiced, crunchy, piping hot- damn near fast-food fry perfection. And then there's the menu item I can't get past: the gyro nachos. This is basically your standard gyro meat and gyro fixin's salad with pita chips to eat it with, but with a spicy tzatziki for that extra oomph towards the pseudo-Mexican (I guess). All in all I'm pretty excited when I have cause to be in Grandview for lunch with all the great options around- but more and more my choice has been Loops. Yum!

I have driven by Loops hundreds of times, and finally went in after reading some of the other reviews. I wish I had stopped in sooner. The food was fantastic. I had a chili cheese dog- real Vienna beef franks grilled- and it was loaded with real chili and plenty of cheese as well as onions. My fiance had the feta fire gyro which was packed with plenty of meat. He said the "fire" aspect took away from the gyro taste and didn't work as well as tzatziki sauce, but he was pretty impressed with it and would like to try a regular gyro next time- and there will definitely be a next time. We each got a combo with fries and a soda. The fries were freshly fried and dusted with cheese and herbs. Fantastic, I would go back for the fries alone. Since everything was made to order, there was a bit of a wait. We came in after the lunch rush around 3 and several tables were dirty, but the staff was very friendly and helpful to us and a pair of older women who were also unfamiliar with the menu.

I hadn't heard much about Loops, but I've been curious driving past it for a while. I was at an event at Studio Elements next door and asked folks there about it, and they said it was DELICIOUS, especially the fries. Since it was over 90 degrees outside and I was scorching hot, I was hoping for a blast of cool air when I walked inside, but the restaurant was pretty hot inside. It was hot enough that I opted to get my food to go rather than be mildly miserable in the heat. The decor is really cute though, as it looks like a subway station, including tiled signs that label the streets. When I walked up to the counter, there was one guy behind the counter cooking the food and chatting with another customer waiting for their order. This is a fast-food style place, but the "register girl" was in the back and took about 3 minutes to come out. That's not forever long, but it's much longer than you expect at a fast food place. When she took my order, she accidentally overcharged me by about $1.50, but didn't realize it until she ran my card. She apologized profusely and ran to the back to get the manager, but I was left just kind of standing there not sure if she was going to need my card again...or need me to sign something...or ??? After another 2-3 minutes I just sat at a nearby table. She came out later and gave me my refund in cash. Again, she was very apologetic, so it wasn't a big deal. The food was decent, but I was only "whelmed." Not exactly underwhelmed, but not even close to overwhelmed. I ordered a gyro, fries, and a drink. The to go cup for the drink was fairly small, which is always a bummer when you're getting to go food. The fries were absolutely delicious as promised. The texture almost reminded me of something beer-battered, rather than just normal potato, so they're crispy and yum! The sandwich was OK. The portion size was very generous, but I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce. I love fast-food style gyro sauce (the creamy kind, rather than the kind that has chunks of cucumber in it) - but it just wasn't the best I've had. It's hard to get into the parking lot if you're heading north on Northwest Blvd (I had to make a U-turn) and you can't get into the lot from King. It was kind of slow for fast food, and a little more expensive than the other fast food gyro places I've been. Overall, if I were in the area, I might go back, but I doubt it.

Loops has the best gyros in Columbus! In addition, they offer several tasty sides such as hummus, fries, and feta fire. Loops is a must if you live in the Grandview area.

Overall I'd say pretty fantastic.. Loops was a suggestion from a coworker and I was actually pretty impressed with the spot and I will return here again. You walk in and place your order at the counter sort of like a Panera or Cosi and they call out your number when it is ready. The indoor seating is actually pretty nice, the building is new and the outdoor seating is going to be great in the warmer months. I ordered the Greektown which is sort of like a Philly with feta and gyro meat and it was pretty delicious. But the great part was the FRIES. I will be coming back just for these wondrous creations of man. I'd say that they are some of the top ones in town, I really couldn't stop eating them. My buddy and I were both feeling full already before we even dipped into our pitas... Defiantly worth a return trip!

Tried it for the first time last night... The place is in a brand new building so it's sufficiently sparkley. It's designed to look like a subway station so it's sparse and "waiting-room-like". So, it's not an ambience place but there is a nice patio with tables and umbrellas for a different view. Service was friendly but not obnoxious. Food = DELICIOUS. We got the Spicy Gyro Roll and it's all that and a bag of crack. You get two FOR A DOLLAR and you could easily fill up with an extra order if that's what you're into. It's pita-wrapped ground gyro meat, onions, peppers, cheese, herbs and spices. Then they drop the whole thing in a deep fryer and serve it up with a creamy herby yogurt dipping sauce. Yummers. My handsome man had the Taylor St. ($6.50 grilled pita with steak, grilled onions, mushrooms and he added the pepperonchini and cheese). He loved it. I had a bite, it was good. But I was busy mowing down my Jackson Street. The Jackson Street ($5.75) is a grilled pita with grilled chicken, hummus, cucumbers, mushrooms and feta cheese. The chicken was cooked perfectly (after we ordered so it happened to be fresh) and the whole texture of the thing rocked. The cucumbers give it a nice snap amid the creamy hummus and grilled meat and mushrooms. I agree with a previous reviewer that there could be more veggies. The Loop's Fries are everything you have read. We were going to share a bag and I'm glad we didn't because they were so good. Sprinkled with salt, parmasean and herbs- these aren't your mom's fries. I wish I had eaten them there, though, because after bringing them home to Italian Village they were quickly losing heat. We got all this plus a fountain drink (and they goofed and gave us an extra Gyro Roll which we were not mad about at all) for just under $20. Definitely worth the money and we will definitely be back to try the Loops Pita "Nachos", Spanakopita and the spreads.

I like loops. I like the generous meat portions given with a regular gyro, I like the french fries, I like the tzatziki sauce and that's about all I can comment on because that's all I get whenever I come in. Perhaps I'll try something different next time in, but I doubt it. A-Ok is exactly what I needed to rate this place. Good addition to the Grandview area.

Oh Loops, gave you another whirl, because you're so freaking close to Steve's and I was hungry. You sell Vienna Reds, the greatest hot dogs on the planet (can not only name the animal, but the cut, that's right, the CUT of meat: beef brisket. No proverbial lips and assholes in these casings.) so I went for that. I was also psyched when I saw on the menu in fine print that I could get the fries plain. Well.... you sell Southsider Chicago dogs, green relish, onions, yellow mustard, sport peppers, pickles, tomatoes, but my favorite are the Northsiders, the same except a half order of fries with celery salt take the place of the pickles and tomatoes on top. Oh well, still should be pretty bitching as is. But my hot dog was soggy. Yeah the dog was steamed per my request, bun too, but that's how they do it in Chi town, and they aren't soggy there. Was it the dog wasn't drained? The bun saturated too heavily with steam? The onions and tomatoes not drained? I don't know, but you somehow managed to fuck up a Vienna Red, and I've never seen someone do that before. Oh, and my excitement over getting plain old French fries was short lived. Getting them "plain" means no cheese and herbs, they are still battered, which I hate. Womp womp.....

I agree with many of the reviewers - it has all of the makings of a truely great place, it just doesn't completely deliver! I wish it would... everytime I go there, something goes awry - and I'm just like "hmmm". This time the first batch of fries burnt - so we had to wait for a 2nd batch... Last time it was a long wait... the time before they were feeling grouchy or something and weren't very friendly, and the first time they had just opened and it felt like they needed to work out the wrinkles in their food approach (and we LOVE gyros) :D.

"NEXT STAWWWWP! Taylor Street!" This train/subway/bus themed shop is pretty good. New in town, it brings the typical gyro shop a bit closer to college atmosphere. 'Tried the Taylor St., the chicken gyro and the Spicy Roll (per recommendation of the grille master). Pretty impressed by the quality of meat used. The chicken gyro may have been a little typical... The grille master was right on the Spicy Roll though, do get it.

I love Chicago. I love gyros. I love fries. So how did I not love this place? First off I love the theme. I miss riding the EL train around Chicago & so I appreciated the decor. But it felt a bit sterile. Maybe it was the gray/white color scheme or maybe just because the restaurant was mostly empty when I went, but it felt a bit like a cafeteria & not a restaurant. My gyro was perfect, no complaints there. The fries though, were oh so greasy. My bag looked like a heart attack with all the grease. I quickly dumped the fries on the tray so I wouldn't have to look at all the grease I was eating. Overall, I may go back for a gyro but skip the fries.

I'm no Gyro expert, or Greek cuisine expert for that matter, but I do know when food tastes great and the Classic Gyro I ordered tasted fantastic. I also ordered a side of fries that were great tasting as well. The restaurant itself has a casual and laid back vibe that makes it feel very cool. This is a perfect place to grab a bite to eat when you're in a hurry or for a get together with a group of friends to catch up. Also, it is perfectly situated on a corner which facilitates people watching (if you're into that). I had a great experience and would recommend this place to everyone.

Loops has awesome sandwiches with lots of meat, but it's the fries that keep me coming back! There aren't many tables and the furniture isn't terribly comfortable, so I usually get take-out.

Last Wednesday I had the Veggie wrap with hummus per the suggestion of the staff. Excellent choice! And I think I said it before, but they will make things however you want them, just ask.

Been back to Loops numerous times, they are always friendly and pretty quick, all items cooked to order. ALWAYS delivered HOT as it should be! They are not shy with the protein portions....have yet to try something that I did not enjoy..they are talking about a 2nd location....

Good place for a fast, hearty Chicago-inspired sandwich. The gyros here are very good: flavorful meat with fresh veg and tzatziki sauce. Feta is extra. My favorite gyro here is the Feta-Fire: a gyro with the meat and veg tossed in very spicy feta spread. All are served on nicely grilled pita bread. Also good is the Italian Beef sandwich: sliced roast beef with Giardenara relish on top, on a hoagie bun. Thank you, Loops, for serving the juice on the side. Some other places dump it on the sandwich, turning the bun into a soggy mess. I like to be able to administer the juice on an as-needed basis. They also have Chicago style hot dogs, which I have not yet sampled. I am not a huge fan of their fries, which are very greasy and salty, but some people seem to absolutely love them, so it seems to be a matter of personal preference. Look for their coupons in the local mailers. There's usually a good one every month that will save you a couple of bucks if you are getting more than one sandwich. I like this place for carry out. It's minutes from my home and they crank out your order in about ten minutes. I have always found the staff to be friendly and attentive.

Loops! What can I say? Your menu is simple and direct, your food delicious and your atmosphere is quick and on the go. The family that opened Loops is originally from Chicago, hence the name and possibly the inspiration for the interior. Clean white tiled walls with "Northwest Blvd" and "King Ave" are marked giving the entire restaurant a train-station feel. The ceiling is high and when this place fills up it can get noisy! Bonus, Loops has a sweet little patio where you can park it and watch the traffic in Grandview. The menu, Greek inspired, is simple and offers up 3 or 4 pitas and salads with your choice of Gyro, Chicken or Steak. Deciding against getting a plain ol' traditional Gyro, I opted for the Feta Fire Original with Gyro meat ($5.95). Mm, I love firey feta spreads! The Gyro meat was juicy and seasoned nicely - and the portion of meat was beyond generous. Actually, maybe it was too much meat. Topped with only the firey feta spread and tomatoes, I felt like my pita was missing some serious veggie action. Lettuce? Green Peppers maybe? Luckily the pita itself was not greasy like other fast food Greek establishments around town. No, this was prepared with care. I also ordered a side of Loops Fries ($1.85) which come peppered with Parmesan cheese and oregano. I feel cheap saying this, but the fries were delicious! Add a fountain beverage and you're looking at about $10 for a substantial lunch or dinner. Other sides to choose from include a house-made slaw dish as well as a pita pocket which I'll have to return for. All of the spreads at Loops are made in-house and can be ordered separately. Good to know for party planning. Seriously, that Feta Fire is my new comfort food. And on a side note, I think Feta might make me fart. You order at one end of the counter and pick up your food at the other end. On busier nights, you'll have a bit of a wait and the staff at Loops (all of who were quite friendly) will shout out your order number. The only room for improvement that I could see would be to offer something other than your typical sodas to drink. Maybe some fresh brewed tea? A small beer selection would be nice - it would be a shame to let that patio go to waste with zero beers! Loops is a great addition to the Grandview area. It's nothing fancy - just tasty comfort Greek food, fast. And cheap.

Best gyro spot I've been to in Ohio. I usually get the "Clark St." With a side order of spicy rolls. Everyone I've recommended this spot to has loved it.

I was really impressed with Loops and checked it out for its grand opening. Got the Lake Street BBQ which was a warm pita stuffed with a hearty portion of flavorful gyro meat smothered in Loops original BBQ sauce, housemade cole slaw, and thick cut crispy Loops fries seasoned with Parmesan flakes and herbs and topped with diced tomatoes. This behemoth of a sandwich was a great combo with an additional order of Loops fries. Others in my party got the chicken gyro with tzatziki and the cole slaw. The hummus looked really good (although I didn't try it) and the portions were huge for the money. I recommend this new addition!

It's just OK. Not the place I'd go if I were looking for the best gyro in town. Nothing in the place from the menu to the decor really stands out enough to put the place in the regular rotation.

  • J M.

Tried it for the first time yesterday and will definitely be back! I had the Chicago dog (2 of them) and fries while my girlfriend had the pita gyro nachos thing. The dogs were excellent. The nachos were essentially a bowl with lamb gyro ingredients served with toasted pita chips for dipping. Also delicious! But the FRIES were off the chain! They were battered and very well seasoned. I know I tasted some Parmesan and some garlic in there. I saw another person get the spinach pie and it looked fantastic so I'll probably be Getting that next time.

Food is ok. I just wish their "gyro meat" was lamb. There is the choice of steak, beef, or chicken, but traditional gyro is lamb, and lamb tastes much better. The gyro bites are very tasty and my son liked his chilli cheese dog.

The gyro and fry portions were huge! The batter on the fries was really good...almost tempura-like. Hot and crispy...couldn't ask for better fries. The gyro was also really good. Feta is a $0.75 extra charge. Like a few others, I thought the tzatziki sauce was a bit garlicky. The place is pretty small. We went on a Saturday night around 6:30 and there were a lot of little kids running around. They do have a tv and were playing college football.

  • Brendan C.

Just ate here for lunch today. I got the classic gyro. The meat was excellent and generously portioned. The vegetables were fresh. The tzatziki sauce was a little different but still good. Overall I would definitely recommend trying it and will be going back for sure.

Great food and I love the chi-town style atmosphere. Make sure to go during lunch when they're a little slower and you don't have to wait for a Gyro!

I went here for the first time yesterday and got the classic gyro combo and I can confirm it definitely hit the spot! That was one good gyro - super flavorful with a ton of garlic. I noticed the freshness of their ingredients which makes a big difference for quality in general. Also, the inside of this restaurant is super clean which is much appreciated and adds to my confidence in the quality of their food. I will be back here. ps. It took me a while to get here because I didn't realize it was a restaurant at first! The outside looks more like a retail store - something about the font and design haha)

Really great falafel and chicken lemon rice soup! We went on a Sunday afternoon, surprisingly there was no line. The staff was very helpful, and extremely nice. I got the falafel with tzatziki sauce and soup, my friend got a gyro. They both were the best we had eaten for years! The meats were cooked perfectly, and the small fried patties in my falafel were not heavy at all. The soup was creamy and filling, the side-sized bowl I got was enough for a small meal on its own. It's named for The Loop neighborhood in Chicago, and the decor includes clocks on the wall so you can see what time it is in Chicago and a few other places. I'd recommend this place for really fresh, great food and the friendly staff.

Finally a place in Columbus that serves delicious Greek inspired food in a casual setting. The choices are varied with choices of meats that are sure to satisfy even the most discriminating foodie. And for Chicago fans, the decor gives a definite feeling that the owners have a soft spot in their hearts for the Windy City. My gyro sandwich was perfectly prepared with a generous helping of gyro and a great sauce with all the accouterments. The gyro rolls are to die for. My first time here but certainly not the last. And BTW they also have a truck around town. Way to go guys!

Wins my award for best fries at a gyro place. They are coated in delicious parmesan coating. They serve a wide variety of food in a nice neighborhood. The gyros are just OK. I think Hellas down the street actually has better gyro meat and Tzatziki sauce. Service and cleanliness was much improved since the first time I went here when they first opened. The prices seem a little bit high to me, but there are occasionally really good coupons, and for being on the edge of Arlington, what do you expect? I've been doing a weekly gyro tour of Columbus. So far, Loops has the best fries, Hellas has the best gyros and Greek Express had the freshest gyro veggies and some decent Tzatziki.

Driving from NY back to Oklahoma and I got hungry. Searched Yelp in the Columbus area for a gyro. Glad I did. Excellent food. Chicago style dog and feta fire gyro were perfect. Thanks to Dustin behind the counter for his help! Answered all my questions, made excellent suggestions, and chatted amiably while making my food. I'll be back when I'm in the area.

I've been here a couple times and have been satisfied each time. I'm kind of torn between 3 and 4 stars on this joint. The food is good and they give you enough to satisfy you're appetite, but it seems to take them longer than it should to get the food out. I just don't get it...I ordered the classic gyro, the lamb was on that skewer thing ready to be shaved off. All they had to do it seems was slice the meat off, put it in pita bread, throw on some toppings, and compliment with a side of fries right? But this simple process takes about 10min. I just don't know what they are doing that takes so long. Maybe some day ill figure it out....the only thing I can think of is that when they take your order they give you a number....and they don't want to call out number 8 before number 7 is served? Anywho, enjoy.

Loops deserves an update. Working across the street. I've had the opportunity to give Loops a few more tries since my first venture and they have made me a fan! I have a few favorites now. The Loops Nachos (sans olives). I love the deep fried pita with the (lets be real people) gyro style taco salad. Seriously good. Then there's my next fav the Kronos wrap, which is the chicken and gyro with onions, mushrooms, and provalone. The mix just works. I love the fresh taste of the chicken and sauted mushrooms with the gyro meat. It really works. Then my number one, the Jackson St. wrap, which is chicken with hummus, feta, and fresh cucumber. It's a great combo of flavors and the fresh cold cucumbers go great with the hummus, feta, and fresh grilled flavorful chicken. Of course, I still avoid the fire feta dip and tatziki, but the hotziki seems to work. I have also avoided their buffalo flavored items as it just makes me nervous to think buffalo with gyro. IDK! I've also has their Chili dog charred and Chicago dog steamed. Both were good, but I really don't know what a good Chicago dog is. Their chili is above average for a quick service place. Every time I go, the staff is friendly and the food is fresh and fast (and yummy).

My wife and I went on a Sunday late afternoon - the place was pretty dead, so that might have made the ambiance seemed more sparse than it actually was - still, the place looks kind of "cold". My wife had a Chicago-style hot dog, I had the classic gyro, and we both had fries and falafel. The hot dog was fine for what it was, the gyro was good but not memorable, and the falafel was a bit dry and bland. Other reviews mentioned the fries - they're definitely good, somewhere between shoestring and steak fries, and seasoned well. However, they're not so amazing that I'd feel compelled to come back just for them. Overall - perfectly serviceable but nothing more.

The jackson street is usually what I get and it is usually a lot to eat. I have had the fries once and they aren't bad. Best greek food in the area, much better than Greek Express.

So I haven't quite experienced the entire menu or anything, I mostly go for the classic gyro, but damn is it a good gyro. It's a good solid size, you won't be hungry afterwards and they don't skimp on the meat or tsatziki sauce. NOICE. Also make sure to spring for the fries. They're always very pleasantly crisp and have this really good seasoning. Delicious. The staff is usually pretty chill.

Best gyros in town- fries are amazing, staff is friendly, and the tzaziki sauce is the best I've had in Columbus. Easily a 5/5! Parking is a little spotty if u go during the lunch rush, so make sure to stop in around 11 or after 1230 if you want to park in the lot.

Everyone needs some Loops fries in their life. They are the BEST! I've been here quite a few times, and they are always hot and crispy. You get a lot of fries for the money as well. Usually just the fries fill me up! I always get a gyro too, and while it's not the best gyro I've ever had, it's still good...bigger than most gyros I've had. You won't be hungry afterward!

The fetafire is pretty dead on. Fresh lettuce and tomato, and just the right amount of sauce. Reasonable price too. I wonder why there was no line when I came there. Probably the exterior looks like a small market or 7/11. I passed this place a couple of times and never imagine this to be a restaurant. Something with the logo or something. But beside that, mind my rambling, solid food!!

I've been to Loops more times than I can count on all of my appendages. Chicago guys and it shows in the decor. The gyros, falafel, and salads are all very good and their dogs and fries are great. They have a daily special that is usually different too. This is my go-to lunch spot and I love the Grecco Salad with chicken and feta fire dressing. I'm a big fan of Loops and I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal here.

Not impressed Tried this place out because they have gyros and I LOVE a good gyro. I like it traditional with the lamb, but they also offer different proteins. The gyro I received was greasy and not very tasty. I was pretty disappointed with the size as well. I have had gyros that were alot better at food carts, even the Market District Giant eagle can make a good gyro.

Went there for lunch today and had classic gyro, fries and gyro roll. Everything was fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced. Definitely going back!!

I've been told the Gyro Rolls are good but haven't tried them yet. I've been here twice on my lunch hour. The first time I was the only person there and there were two of the employees taking a break while another worked the register and prepared the food. The second visit was during a busier time. There were at least 10 other customers and most of them already had their orders. One person was preparing the food and another was taking orders and helping prepare food. I saw one guy wander out from the back and kind of look around before going back into hiding. Yes, the fries are delicious. They are greasy so don't fool yourself into thinking the parmesan cheese and herbs make this healthy for you. They seem to make a fresh batch with each order. The first time I went they were warm because I got some fries that were sitting around along with the fresh ones. I've only tried the classic gyro which has a thick, garlicky tzatziki sauce. It doesn't drip all over the place making the pita bread soggy and fall apart.

Best gyro I've ever had! My favorite foods are seared ahi tuna, duck, chili dogs, and gyros. I'm on a continual quest to find the greatest gyro and LOOPS HAS THE BEST GYRO! I've only ever had the Classic and Greektown gyros because I can't bring myself to try anything else on the menu and miss an opportunity to eat a gyro. The Greektown gyro has grilled onions and peppers and therefore takes nearly 15 minutes to cool from scalding hot in order to consume (although my wife tells me I have sensitive skin in my mouth). The Classic gyro has the freshest lettuce and tomato in it and I always add feta. The fries are amazing too, they can be greasy but they have a lot of seasoning that make them unlike any other fries I've ever had. I don't generally get fries though because the gyros are so big they're a full meal, similar to a Chipotle burrito. The size and consistent quality of the ingredients are what distinguish Loop's gyros. Gyros I've had from other restaurants tend to be small and lacking meat, plus some places use sickly iceberg lettuce. Pricing is average at Loop's $5-7 for a gyro or sandwich. The only aspect stopping me from giving Loops 5 stars is the fact it's commercial and therefore a fairly sterile atmosphere. I'm not sure if the location or the interior causes this, but it always seems empty. I think they have a flat screen tv on the wall, so it's not like they don't try to be accommodating. There's nothing about the interior that makes me feel like eating there, I almost always bring it home. Maybe if they had a liquor license and were more like a bar they would attract OSU students being so close to campus?

I tried the Loops Italian Beef as well as some of their french fries yesterday at the Columbus Arts Festival. The beef was meh, but the fries were TASTY. The problem with the beef was the bread. To have a true Italian Beef sandwich, dipped, you need a bread that's going to hold up a little better - just a little on the chewy side. The bread here had too tender of a crumb to hold up real well. But at least they knew to dip it. :-) The fries, on the other hand, were awesome! And you know what the nicest thing was? I accidentally spilled some right after I got it (Butterfingers, I guess.) and they happily replaced the fries without me even asking. How nice was that???

It has been some time since I stopped in at Loops which I finally did this Saturday. I have no real complaints about this place. The food is good and the service is friendly and efficient. I ordered the Spicy Feta Gyro for around $6, which is a decent price. I would suggest not trying to eat this and drive as it was almost impossible to do without spilling some on yourself. The Spicy Feta sauce runs and could stain your clothes. The Pita is a very fluffy and doughy pita which is a little fluffier than i like. I know some place toast their pita for a quick minute which is the way I like it. The food tasted fresh as they shaved the gyro meat off a spit which is must for a good Greek place. The menu has numerous other options for people who don't like gyro meat as they have chicken or steak options. They also have food for the non-Greek lovers such as Hotdogs and French Fries. Not a bad place to stop for a quick meal. Decent prices and good service.

If you are looking for a quick gyros... This is the right place to go! I have been coming here for few months ever since I found them. Their foods are delicious and they are super nice always! Try their feta-fire gyro, spicy gyro rolls if you like spicy like me! Pita nachos are awesome too!!!!!

Let me start off by saying fuck the haters. Loops is a great casual and reasonably priced place to get greek food. The owner is a fantastic guy who really cares about his customers and takes time to greet each one. He was willing to stay 30 minutes after closing to shoot the shit with my friend and I, and answer our questions about his restaurant. He puts so much attention to detail in everything he does. Want ketchup? There are plenty of ketchup packets up front because he believes ketchup dispensers are unsanitary. Truth. The inside looks like a diner: lots of metal that's clearly cleaned till it sparkles. Why is food served in takeaway containers? To expedite the serving process and allow each customer to easily take food home without having to make an extra trip to the counter. The food is so fantastic. Simple and super fresh. The gyros and salads are amazingly tasty and the fries are orgasmic... crispy herb covered manna from heaven. The tzatziki sauce is super thick and garlic-y. I'd bathe in it if I could. If you want some fake ranch dressing tasting tzatziki bullshit-- this is not the tzatziki for you. This is authentic: clearly made wtih some Greek yogurt, cucumbers, and a LOT of garlic. Not to sound like a creeper, but my mouth is watering right now just thinking about Loops' delicious food. My advice? It's a gyro place. Get a gyro. All y'all complaining about sandwiches, soup, and hot dogs clearly don't know how to order at a restaurant. Fuck the haters. Loops is awesome.

The Greek gyro was very good, but the hot dogs did not sit well in my belly. The gyro rolls are very good too. Overall, not bad for the price.

I'm less impressed than I was. My hot dog buns were stale and fell apart as I was holding them. And the smart-ass behind the register had the nerve to question my prononciation of "hummus". That's okay; no tip for you.

Is this a chain? The place feels, looks, and acts commercial and mass-produced. Assembly-lined food, impersonnel service, and sterile ambiance. It's a real shame, because the concept is awesome. The Fire Feta and Clark Street gyro equal gyro-versions of sausage pizza and philly cheese steak. Avoid the Cream of Chicken Rice Soup - nothing but cornstarch.

Loops is great if you are in the mood for some greasy, quick food. The french fries are to die for!! They are so greasy and crunchy and covered in some delicious blend on parmesan and herbs. Other than that, the gryos and wraps are A-Ok. The hot dogs are good. All around just a good place in a convenient location. The rice pudding is really sweet and yummy!! The staff are super friendly and accommodating. If you call in an order to pick-up, they'll have it ready for you in 5-10 minutes! Plenty of parking off of King Avenue. Try Loops for a quick lunch!

I hate to be so cliched, but based on my first experience, Loops! really earned a solid 3.5 stars and not exactly a 4 rating, but I'm feeling generous... I had the chicken Feta-Fire which is described as "tossed with spicy feta spread". Altough it was tasty, there was nothing "spicy" about this feta spread. Positives: --Great looking, simple menu with tons of choices and I am looking forward to going back to try some other things. --Delicious and extra bad for you fries Negatives: * The food took FOREVER today--during a lunch rush. I realize this could be an isolated incident and hence my generous rounding up of the star rating :D * Although my chicken 'gyro' was good, there is a strange, fishy aftertaste. Not sure if it was the spicy feta spread or the tzatziki I added. Weird. [on another note, there was a very snarky woman who tried to take over the entire patio seating before even ordering her food--which by the way, didn't come until my party of 6 was almost finished eating]

You have to try the fries here, They are so awesome! I usually come here for lunch occasionally, The food is great, the staff is very nice. and the hot dogs don't "snap"! ( I prefer non snapping hot dogs ) Definitely worth a try if you've been thinking about it. Very clean establishment, and great food!

I think this would have been great if my gyro wasn't 20% onions. I'm not sure but I thought gyros typically came with lettuce and feta. I ordered the Titan gyro, listed as a traditional Beef gyro. I liked the beef, sauce and tomatoes, and the pita was soft. But no lettuce or feta? I guess I need to request it next time. Other than that, service was quick and prices were good.

I love Loops. I probably get it every few months or so and have maybe only had a bad meal once. The problem I run into is I always want everything on the menu and order too much food. This time I tried the Lake Street BBQ chicken pita, and it was awesome. Their BBQ sauce is amazing, and the fries are so good. I also had a Loops Dog, which is basically a Chicago style dog, and it was great too. If you haven't been to Loops, check it out. You're bound to find something on the menu you'll enjoy.

Stopped in Loops one Sunday after catching a matinee over at the AMC. I had noted that they had a food truck at the Whitehall Food Truck Festival the day before and, unfortunately, I hadn't been able to run by even though the menu looked quite good. So, when my Yelp app pulled up Loops as being in the neighborhood, I made a beeline straight over. After careful study of many reviews on different sites, it seemed to me that the most raved about menu selections were the gourmet dogs, the fries, the gyro rolls, and the FetaFire grilled pita. First I ordered the Chicago Fire Dog along with the Loops Dog and a side of fries. The Fire Dog was pretty interesting. A made in-house gourmet "fire" slaw piled high over a grilled dog and some sport peppers. A mouthful and not bad at all. The Loops Dog was your basic Chicago hot dog, celery salt, pickle, tomato, etc. It was good too. And, finally, the fries were intriguing. I don't know what they season the french fries with after they deep fry them, but it added just a touch of something extra and made them so much better. Very unique and worth returning for. When I was finished, I ordered the FetaFire and gyro rolls to go and took them home. Several hours later, I had second dinner and, though cooled to room temperature, the pita sandwich was really very very good. Oh my gosh, I loved it. The gyro rolls, on the other hand wasn't great cooled, so I reheated them on warm roll setting in the microwave and (voila!) suddenly those weren't bad either. After a day of eating nothing but Loops, I confidently rate the items in this order: 1. The FetaFire Grilled Pita roll 2. The fries 3. The Gryo Rolls 4. The Loops Dog 5. The Chicago Fire Dog I would give five stars, but Loops wasn't perfect. The condiments station was understocked and the lady behind the counter wasn't all that friendly. She's was kind of intimidating actually, lol. But, all in all, I definitely plan to return. FetaFire and fries, please. Good food.

After moving to Columbus from Chicago I've had people suggesting places to get a good hot dog. None of them have ever mentioned this place and I'm here to tell you this is the best place to get a Chicago style dog in central Ohio. I finally was able to try this place out after driving past it so many times. You walk in and you are engulfed by Chicago and Columbus pride. The prices here aren't bad at all. 2.75 for a hot dog? Awesome. 7 bucks for a beef? Not too bad. I tried their beef and regular fries. My significant other got a Chicago dog with fries. The Italian beef was good. I asked for it wet and sure enough I got it wet. The au jus was decent and beef itself was very delicious and moist. However I wish they didn't toast the hoagie. It would have absorbed all that au jus and would have given it much more flavor it could have had. I tried the hot dog and it was actually very good. I was a little thrown off by the diced tomatoes instead of the sliced tomatoes but whatever. Tomato is a tomato. If anybody has ever been to Portillo's in Chicago I have to say this is on their level. It has all the ingredients to be a Chicago dog. Poppy seed bun and all. The real winner at this place however were the fries. They had a nice crunch to them and a soft inside. Seasoned with herbs and grated cheese. These were delicious. I can definitely say this place is well worth a try. If you're interested in trying a Chicago style dog I highly recommend coming here.

We chose loops based on reputation and its kid friendliness. It did not disappoint. The flat bread for my gyro was soft and chewy, the chicken was tender and juicy and the hotziki, was a nice touch. The kids were both fans of their hotdogs and fries. My wife and I split an order of fetafire fries which we both thought were great accompaniments to the gyros. I would gladly return.

No parking available when I went during lunch so I parked across the street. Went with the traditional gyro. Downer they do not accept Am Ex. Waited about 15 minutes for order, pretty long wait time but it's a small place. The gyro was a nice size. I should have left off the lettuce as its overwhelming. It was pretty good. I probably should have went with the hot dog. It was just ok. Not sure I'd return for a second visit.

Excited to try this place after experiencing their gyro at the Columbus Food Truck Festival. But it appears the Food Festival was their best foot forward and the physical location needs to catch up. Clark Street: There was too much going on in this gyro. All the onions and peppers drowned out the quality of the chicken and gyro. I enjoyed the huge chunks of chicken (when I could see them) as the meat was tender and had good flavor. FetaFire Fries: These are good and wish I could have these once a week. The feta appeared to be crumbled and cooked into the fries but the cold tomatoes took away from what could be an awesome product. Could I have gotten my order from the Food Truck Festival and ordered a gyro wrap without all the other toppings?

This place doesn't disappoint! Although I wouldn't rank it as the 'best' gyro in town, they do a hell of a job impressing me with their wild and adventurous takes on the standard gyro. They offer daily specials ranging from different gyros to chili dogs as well. I love the lake st BBQ which is a gyro topped with fries, slaw, and special veggies slathered in a delicious BBQ sauce. Like I said, it's not your typical gyro joint which is what I like about the place. The gyro rolls are a cute little take on a gyro snacker meal. The fries are your standard Mediterranean shop fries, never disappointing. I like coming here and trying the different takes on gyros.

Just so I'm clear - this is not a BAD three star review. When I say that Loops is "OK", I really mean it - they're OK. I just haven't had a ton of experience yet. So far I've been in twice - both times when I needed something fairly quick - I ordered a chicago dog, some fries, I got my order, and I hit the road. The dogs themselves? Not bad - between the poppy bun, the Vienna beef dog, and that neon green relish, I could close my eyes and easily pretend I was getting something from a cart on on the Golden Mile. The whole place is decorated to almost look like a subway stand - right down to the tiled walls and inlaid signs. Sometime soon, I ought to try the gyros, the salads, or anything that requires me to actually sit down for a meal - but in the meantime, they remain a great choice for something quick, cheap, and tasty.

Pretty dissapointed that this place is rated 4 stars. I have eaten here quite a bit, and didn't realize how average it is until I ate at the new-ish Greek joint at fifth and Kenny. That place is way better and less expensive. Worth trying out when you get bored of lunch places in Grandview, but let's not go overboard and give this place 4 stars. This is why Yelp is more reliable in bigger cities with more options. Sorry to sound like a jerk, but this is true.

We finally made it to Loops today! I was excited to give it a shot. I ordered a loops dog and fetafire fries. My boyfriend ordered a loops dog and a chili cheese dog. I thought all of the options were pretty tasty. I did have a bit of heartburn afterwards but admittedly, still worth it! My couple of small complaints would be that the food took a while to come out (disproportionately to the other customer that was there's food, I thought), and I saw someone blow their nose on a napkin behind the counter and go back to preparing food. It looked like he went to the back room and did something, so I'm hoping that was washing his hands. He wasn't preparing our food personally, so I didn't have any qualms about our food in particular, but it still didn't look great. Overall, I would give them another try, but I don't see us going here regularly. My boyfriend wanted to try a gyro and I wanted to try a polish. We'll see how that visit goes!
