After writing the review below, we heard from the First Watch people and they promised to clean up their tables and requested we give them another chance. We went back this morning, waited just a few minutes and then were seated at the same type of table (with extensions) as we had in our last visit. This time everything looked much better. Thanks First Watch for cleaning up your act! My wife ordered the Avocado Toast, which comes with 2 basted eggs. She also included a side order of bacon. I had The Works omelet, which has ham, onions, mushrooms and bacon, with sour cream on top. It came with a side of potatoes and wheat toast. All was good. The service was great, the food was good and the tables were far better than our last visit. I would have given a fifth star if the food had been a little better but there was really nothing to complain about. We will be back soon!

I had lunch there today while in a business trip. I ordered a Reuben sandwich that came with a cup of chicken and wild rice soup for under $10. Both items were good and filling. I thought it represented both good food and good value. Service was quick and efficient. I recommend this place for breakfast and lunch.

I hate to leave a one or two star review for any establishment, but in this case it's warranted. I've been here many times. My kid loves their pancakes. For that alone, it gets one star. I'll give it another star for cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. As far as the food is concerned, I've never managed to have a good meal here. Today I ordered two eggs over medium, fried potatoes, and wheat toast. The eggs were cold and undercooked. Literally inedible. The potatoes were hard, undercooked and inedible. The toast was... Toast. It was fine. I'd rather wait a bit longer for my food and have it properly cooked, but I think management is concerned solely with turning tables.

It's First Watch, the original breakfast cafe chain! At least for me it is, I'm sure someone invented the concept before. I have been here several times, sometimes when it is slow and sometimes when it is very very busy. I always get a consistent and quality experience when I come here. Last time I was here, I got the special of the day which was a harvest bowl with sweet potatoes, veggies, and hollandaise sauce. Totally delicious. I have also had many other menu items at First Watch throughout the years, favorites being the chikichanga and the hashes. The coffee is served fresh and quickly refilled if it becomes empty. Service is usually good as is the turnaround for getting a table.

Our first visit was for Mother's Day this year. As expected, they were very busy but they have a great service! They text you when your table is ready and allow you to view the menu while waiting and preorder your food. Great idea! My husband is a meat & potatoes guy so the healthy options were overwhelming for him. We were all VERY pleased with the food, although service could've been better, but again it was very busy. All the women got a little Mother's Day box of chocolates at the end of the meal! Thanks for a great brunch for my mom!

It was a nice place with an assortment of tasty breakfast items. First of all, I want to say I wasn't feeling well that morning and I want to give this place another go. The staff was attentive and very quick with taking our orders and getting the food out. My banana-nut crunch pancake was quite delectable, but the whole time I couldn't get over why the coffee was so bad. Not too mention, $2.39 for coffee seems a bit steep, but maybe I don't get out to enough breakfast places anymore o_O Overall, "Meh." Again, I want to give this place another try, but I probably won't go out of my way to visit.

If you want a quick, healthy and affordable breakfast place, you could do much worse than First Watch. Food is lighter than Bob Evans' fare, and comes in more sensible portions. Don't get me wrong, I love me a big bowl of sausage gravy every once in a while, but I generally leave First Watch full and not painfully bloated. What I also love about First Watch is their quick turnover of tables. We could show up with a dozen or more people ahead of us waiting for tables. You ask "how long", they'll say "10-15 minutes". You'd normally want to roll your eyes thinking "yeah right", but they generally can get you a table in 10-15 minutes.

Wow, that was a really good breakfast. I had the Market Skillet, which had an over-easy egg, bacon, onion, spinach, mushroom, roasted red pepper, potatoes, and goat cheese. It tasted amazing and was very reasonably priced. The service was prompt and friendly. Very nice experience.

Great family breakfast place. Good fresh food with fast courteous service. They are also happy to have children here and know how to seat you so that you are not right next to someone who might be bothered by kids. Very reasonable prices too

I LOVE coming to this First Watch at Mill Run. The people are always friendly and they are always smiling. I've never had one problem with this location. The food has always been good. Some of the drink prices ( i.e.glass of cranberry juice!) are ridiculous, but usually drink prices arent cheap anymore!! I'll definitely go there again!!!

The wait was not long. The food came out incredibly fast and it was good. Nothing to write home about. A little pricey for the small portions.

I stopped in for a bit of breakfast this morning - this restaurant is always spotless and clean. The wait staff is extremely friendly, always ready with the water pitcher and the coffee pot, and your food is delivered as soon as it hits the warmer - straight from the grill or griddle. This morning I had the Trifecta - 2 eggs over medium with a large sausage link and a yummy belgian waffle - the waffle is the best - crispy on the outside dusted with cinnamon and sugar. it's served with some berry topping but I prefer the maple flavored syrup, served warm. Over medium eggs for some reason are hard for grill cooks - most of the time my eggs come out as over easy or as over hard - these eggs were perffect - the white was set all around the yolk. And the sausage is tasty as well. I sat at "the bar" - it's a great seat where you can watch all the kitchen activity. All-in-all, a delicious breakfast at the First Watch!

First Watch is a strong 3 stars in my opinion. Good enough to have no bad memories, but also not so good that I will have positive memories. The service is consistent, and the food selection is pretty good, but not fantastic. The last time I was there, I had an orange juice, which was actually pretty darn good, a hot chocolate, which was pretty good too, and a crepe which was too tough and chewy. I was meeting some co-workers before we cleaned up our section of adopted highway, and it was a good choice as they have plenty of options that aren't too heavy. Everybody was pretty happy, and it's definately a safe choice, by I would have rather taken them to Paul's in Grandview.

Wow. Seriously underwhelming. We both opted for omelettes - me, the Bacado ($6.79); him, the Killer Cajun ($6.69). Both were pretty tasteless (are they made with Eggbeaters?), and really lacking in fillings. The avocado in mine was ripe to the point of being rank. He said the chicken lacked any flavor what so ever, and tasted like it had been boiled. Ick. The few mushrooms that were in it were practically raw. The one good thing about it was that it wasn't swimming in grease like a lot of diner fare seem to come with. The coffee ($1.99) wasn't even that good either. The place was clean and the service was good, but that's about all it had going for it.

I guess I just don't see what everyone thinks is so wonderful about First Watch. I've been to this location several times, and while it has done nothing to disappoint me, it has done nothing to blow me away either. I've had one of their omelets as well as their yogurt crepes and they were good but I still feel as if I could have gotten something with more flavor somewhere else.

It's neither good nor bad. The food is fresh but flavorless. Even the cajun chicken is bland. The worst part, however, is the coffee. It is very bitter and I would equate it more with liquid death rather than coffee.
