Great Irish pub experience, sitting outside on a beautiful sunny day with great friends

As others here have mentioned, the pickleback shot is a must try, it sounds odd but truly is delicious. All of the food here is good, I particularly like their spinach salad, my wife really likes the steak boxty. Most of the servers here are top notch and very attentive, they have a pub quiz every Monday where gift cards are given out. Only reason Fado doesn't get 5 stars is because in my opinion, the drink prices are a bit on the high side.

Came here for a CYP Music Trivia Night, and had a lot of fun. Event aside, the menu was quite impressive, and I had a tough time deciding on a meal. I settled on the chicken quesadilla, intrigued by the notion of using boxty (an Irish potato pancake which features heavily on the menu) instead of tortillas, and it was fantastic (and a great value, with the $9 'appetizer' easily being enough food for a meal, and then some). I'll be back to try more of the seemingly authentic Irish pub fare...

If the review was purely for the food, it'd be three stars - it's solid food, but nothing spectacular. Why the four stars? Soccer!!! Sunday and Saturday mornings at Fado are SO much fun. My husband and I already like soccer, but I have to admit - I go there to watch some of the other fans, not the game. The wait staff are understanding that we don't want to drink ourselves silly at 9 in the morning and just want to watch the game. Hooray for weekend morning soccer!

Reeked of cigar smoke. We left before being seated.

Guinness is a finicky beer. Most bars abuse and pour Guinness incorrectly but Fado pours some of the best in Columbus. Food is average, the corned beef and cabbage is great! Only compliant would be the music. The decor in Fado gives an authentic pub experience but they have the radio top ten playing. The music doesn't match the feel of the pub.

I find myself at a strange point with this place. They're great at what they do (Irish Pub, Soccer Bar, St. Pats Destination), and terrible at what they don't. I've been there many times before or after a Crew game, just for dinner, or (like this past Friday) to meet up with some friends. The place is very small and sectioned out, so it's difficult to have a group there (we had 5 & struggled for a place to sit together). There was an acoustic guy playing, and there was no vantage point from most seats outside of the bar area (BTW - he was great! Brian Douglas Day - check him out briandouglasday.wix.com/… ). We ended up getting a few appetizers and some drinks, but after our first round we had to constantly flag our server down. The bar was mostly empty, so that sort of thing is frustrating to me. We chose to cash out with her (maybe she was trying to get her side work done & get out?), and just go to the bar. Even then it was like slow. I really do like this place and the overall ambiance, but it's starting to look a bit dated & the service needs a pick up!

Stopped in for a happy hour that turned into dinner the other night. I really want to like Fado more than I can. I'm reviewing it here as a pub/restaurant. I would give it 4 stars as a bar. The decor and layout is great. Lots of nice nooks and crannies that are great for conversation, and I imagine other things as the nights grow late. It has nice, dusky lighting and a mix of high and low top tables and bar/counter for whatever you like. Unfortunately, either they share ventilation with the Tinder Box next door, the workers smoke in the back, or the smoke from the patio is sucked inside. The air, while not smoky, did have a lingering tobacco flavor. It didn't chase me away, but it was noticeable. The beer was great. Perfect Guinness pours, as you would hope and expect. There were a number of people in the back room working on laptops. I want that job. I should have stuck to drinks and not moved on to food. I had the beef stew, which was a thick "Chunky Soup" style and lukewarm. Meh. Also had the hummus which came with an odd deep-fried-pita-esque floppy starch for dipping. Appetizing, right? Meh. Thankfully, I had enough calories from beer.

For a european football lover, can't hate on this. It's one of the few places in town that you can plunk yourself down into a chair, and, without a doubt, find whatever game you're looking for while grabbing a pint or two. The food is good enough for bar food; nothing special or unique, but solid. Get the fish and chips if you're going to nosh down while enjoying a Guinness and watching the premier league!

Really cool place with some really neat food. It's like an Italian chipotle! They cook it all up right in front of you. I had a wrap with calamari in it. Hope to see more of these popping up all over!

The atmosphere reflects that traditional Irish Pub that you would find across the pond. No hostess during the week which could be a negative if its crowded however the staff is very friendly and the food is outstanding. The fish and chips are prepared the way it should be and I highly recommend the lamb sandwich! I am not usually a coleslaw fan but it is delicious here. I will definitely return and looking forward to trying another menu item.

The ONLY place they pull a proper pint in this town! If i could give 5 stars on that and the atmosphere, done. Service, 5 stars. Food, solid 2. It has been dissapointing the past several times i have actually eaten here. Guinness stew is nothing more than steak pieces in gravy poured over mashed potatos. nary a vegetable in sight! Looking for a easy going place to cool your heels while your lady shops? Its Fado.

Fado won me over the other day with its fast, friendly lunch service AND the most delicious Ruben that has ever graced my taste buds. OMG the Ruben! I was at first mad that it was $9 thinking it would be small and not so great, but I was shocked when it was the perfect size (not measley/not giant) on buttery toasted rye with the perfect amount of Russian Dressing. But, that's not the half of it. The corned beef was AMAZING! It was fresh cut right off of a REAL corned beef cooked in house. It was juicy, tender, flavorful, and thick cut with no fattiness. I am still thinking about how good it was. It kicked Katzinger's Ruben in the butt. It's my new #1 Ruben. Plus, the fries (chips as the English call them) were good too! The service was fast. efficient. and friendly. She was good with refills too. My only gripe was $5.62 for a Hoegarten. WTF? It didn't even look like a 16oz draft. So with that, a diet, and 2 Rubens, it was $33 for lunch including tip. That's kinda steep in my book and it was the beer that put it over the top. And to comment on a fellow reviewer's thought on the scent of smoke in Fado...I think the smoke smell wafts over from the Cigar store next door and it's only noticable upon entering. So, in my opinion, run, don't walk to Fado for good food and fast service, but be prepared to pay the price for import drafts.

Seating is self-serve. I usually try to be really obnoxious about it, so that the servers know someone sat in their section. Came here last Thursday night for some fried pickles and a Black & Tan with a friend. Our server was great; I love the out going, friendly types! The inside of the restaurant is dark; minimal lighting. I usually sit at the bar, but it was so nice out, so we chose to sit on the patio. If you're sensitive to smoke, I would refrain from choosing the patio; there is a cigar shop next door, and smoking is allowed on the patio in designated areas. The corned-beef rolls are one of my favorite appetizers! The bar menu has a great selection of Irish beers (obviously), as well as cocktails. Try the Fado Irish Coffee, or the "pickleback" shot! You can always go for the obvious shot of Jameson, also :) Happy hour is every single day of the week, from 4 to 7, and they have some really great deals. The decor is authentic, straight from Ireland, which gives the atmosphere a one-of-a-kind feel. If you are a FIFA fan, this is definitely your pub. It's nice to see soccer fans, because they are a pretty rare find! You can visit their website to check out local events and to reserve a table, if you need to do that sort of thing.

Very cool bar with good food. Love the beer selection. Service from wait staff to manager was impressive. We had a large party and a minor issue with our reservations, they were all over it. Heard several apologies and manager bought us all a round of drinks. Will definitely go back.

Most "Irish Pubs" are a joke, they are just American bars that serve Guinness. I have only been in two pubs that are decent representations of an Irish pub. There is nothing like an actual pub here in Ohio, but this place gets pretty close. It is filled with older furniture, soccer paraphernalia, and traditional Irish imagery. The menu features traditional Irish cuisine; bangers, mash, corned beef, boxty...etc. It also features cool American spin offs of Irish food, like fried Rueben rolls! They feature more than just Guinness as their Irish beers and they have soccer playing on like every TV. This is a plus! We sat in a little nook in the restaurant with nice dim lighting. We were by an old antique armoire kind of thing and it was surrounded by wooden booths. It was really cool and added to the Irish pub feel. Now to the food! I ordered the Rueben rolls and the fish n' chips. Both were excellent and reasonably priced. It was washed down with a great Harp beer! During the meal we were privileged to watch soccer games from all over the world and the pre-game for the Crew match that day. After our meal we left for the Columbus Crew game! Great day!

Fado's is one of the easier places to park at Easton. There's a large (free) lot across the street. I came for dinner this evening. The restaurant looks a LOT different than American pubs or restaurants. I suppose that's because a lot of was made in England. Most of the tables are high and most of the rooms are smallish. It's different for sure. For dinner, I started off with the lamb chops. They were good, but VERY small. And the waitrress didn't ask me how I wanted them cooked. She said they just didn't do that. What??? Then I had the macaroni and cheese. I was "okay". For dessert, I had the bread pudding. That was the best course of the day. It had dried fruit and other yummy stuff. On the whole, not a bad meal.

Although I ate at Fado this particular evening, I am only reviewing the drinks of the night because they were the stars. I started with a Magners cider because I felt like being reminded of my time in England two years ago. It was just as I remembered: apple-y and wonderful. But that evening was not a night of past memories so I said the bartender "yo, howz about a shot?" Bartender: What shot do you want? Me: I don't know, something awesome!! Bartender: How 'bout a Pickle Back? Me: Uhhh, what's that? Bartender: A shot of Jameson and a shot of pickle juice. Me: Sick!! I'm game!!! Then I had this weird and funky 2 shot piece of awesome. The pickle juice tones down the whiskey bite. It was amazing!! I said to the bartender "what else you got?" Bartender: How about an Irish Breakfast? Me: ????? Bartender: It tastes like a McGriddle sandwich from MickyD's. Me: Heck yea!! This was another 2 shot delight. Jameson and Butterscotch in one shot glass and OJ in another. Gulp!!! Holy potatoes - It tastes just like breakfast...... I am wondering what other crazy mixes these folks have up their sleeves....

Cool atmosphere. Good beer selection. Attentive and good staff. Good place to go with a date to relax and talk. Not a good place to watch a game or to head to with a big group.

My husband and I heard many positive things about Easton mall and the surrounding stores so we took a drive one night to check it out. We arrived around sunset, so it was getting dark and all of the outdoor lights were just flickering on. Easton itself is so pretty and so very different from what we were used to on the east coast. I have never seen a mall like this, and we come from the King of Prussia Mall which is the 2nd largest mall in the country. Easton has the small town feel of the outlet mall near my NJ home (if you're familiar with Flemington and its charm you'll understand) mixed with the big mall feel of King of Prussia, mixed with Peddlers village (near Philly). It's intimate yet upscale, with tons of spunk at night. We drove around looking for a place to have dinner, and being that neither of us wore anything nice (not knowing what to expect) we settled on the pub. At first glance, you notice the patio, the huge patio where everyone seems to hang out. Fado obviously has a regular crowd out there; it gave the place a very homey feel, kind of like Cheers, but nicer. The area in general has lots of pubs, so we figured this one would be similar in the fact that although an Irish pub, the name along would be Irish and would not reflect in the food or vibe. Fado is very much an authentic Irish pub with a 'sit anywhere you'd like' attitude. Inside is very dark and "pub-like", while the outdoor patio is loud and comfy; a must if your first time. I think I would even sit outside when it's raining! The staff is great too, very personable. The menu is very cool, with a rustic irish feel yet has quailty to it making it a bit more upscale; pretty much Easton as a whole.5:5 for vibe & staff. The food...its irish alright, and for anyone who knows what that means would also know that it's not for everyone. Everything has Guniess in it, the apps, the main courses, the desserts, and of course the drinks, again making this place very authentic. The Irish love Guiness and they often use it in everything being that it is such a huge way for them to make some money; tee shirts, food, soups, factory tours, etc - everything has Guiness and they like it that way. Very authentic irish food, and almost-fair prices. Boxtys, bangers & mash, ham & cabbage, and everything with Guiness. We got the guiness wings and they were good, but nothing specail. I prefered the hot wings. I had the trinity boxty. It's a thick crepe that they stuff with steak with a whiskey sauce poured over it. Simple and delicious. Tom had the lamb sandwich and said it was yummy but a bit gamey for his taste. Dessert was good too. Two scoops of guiness ice cream over a warm brownie. Who a thought that Guiness ice cream would be so dam good! Food: 3.5:5 Come to relax, come to eat, just make sure you try it! You know, it's been a week since we went. Thinking back, they didnt have the best food, nothing REALLY wowed us, but it's still in our heads. I can still taste the boxty and it was a memorable place. I'd come back for the boxty and ice cream, but I'd probably try a different place in the Easton mall first.

I've actually been here several times over the years, and it's always, ALWAYS been a good experience. From half-way to St. Patty's day, to meet-ups with friends, the food and staff have always been impressive. The Irish food is spot on (in my opinion) and always hot, fresh, and damned tasty.

This wasn't a bad experience on our quest to find some good Irish food. We'd been let down all over Columbus as everything kinda just . . . it regular bar food with Irish names . . . anywho. They had boxty, they had stew, shepherd's pie, and a few other things. Otherwise just the typical bar fare. But bonus points for being the only place I know of thus far that serves some good boxty. They also have this new ginger beer that tastes pretty awesome. It's not very alcoholic but it tastes pretty darn good. The only drawback here, as with most things seem to be in Easton, you don't get very much on your plate. When I got my boxty it well like a small lunch. I wasn't really satisfied when I left. And the shepherd's pie my boyfriend got was also kind of small. But all tastes fairly good. Nice and dark inside, and cozy too, so it get bonus point for the pubby feel.

Only been there once, but it was a cool place with a nice list of Irish beer & cocktails. Big restaurant inside with two bars, and nice, big patio, considering the location of the restaurant. Good people watching, but I didn't try the food.

This was just an "eh" for me. We wanted to try someplace "new" to us for dinner while in Easton and Fado didn't have a wait. I think a lot of my "eh" is from the fake smoke smell. Columbus outlaws smoking in restaurants and apparently Irish-ish pubs have decided that they must pump in the fake smoke smell to be authentic. I guess it's better than being doused in cigarette smoke. And then my mixed drink tasted like it was made by a 4th grader. Waitress never asked me how it was and didn't say anything when she took it away at the end of the meal completely full. I'm not one to complain about a bad drink (my theory in life is that if the first one is bad, the second one will be that way too). Stick with the beer...plenty of good choices on tap. I enjoyed my husband's Harp Lager. And then the food was just okay as well. I ordered the chicken cheesesteak with no mushrooms. They got the no mushrooms part right but the sandwich & the boxty straws were cold. The other three at our table seemed pretty "eh" as well...not bad, but not particularly good, either. I didn't bother with dessert. Our waitress was okay. She seemed prompt at trying to refill alcoholic beverages but not so great at keeping waters full. She was slow to clear the table and get us a check. So, yeah, just "eh." Maybe we went on an off night? There's too many other really good places in Easton to come back. I've been to Kildare's several times (an Irish pub chain in the Philly area) that does a better job at nailing the food & the service.

STOP READING THIS AND ORDER THEIR FISH TACOS ASAP. Seriously, we've starting coming here for happy hours explicitly on the taste of the fish tacos alone. Beer battered fish with shredded cabbage, a spicy red chile aioli and fresh squeezed lemon, on warm flour tortillas. Christ, now I want one. The other appetizers range from fair to good. I'm not sure we've had any entrees yet. The drinks are good...they have a fancy new ginger beer that's actually alcoholic and delicious, especially if you get it with the Jameson. The atmosphere is normally lively and the service is generally solid.

3.5 stars actually. Based on service, Fado gets four stars. Based on just the food, I'd give it just three stars. I came to Fado for dinner on my first night of a business trip with two other colleagues. We were able to get patio seating. They both had the shepherds pie and Blue Moon. I had the corned beef sandwich and water. Yup. Water. If I had a Guinness I would have fallen asleep at the table after having been up since 5am PST, flying across the country and three time zones. Plus I was a bit dehydrated. The shepherds pie looked really good and it came with a side salad. My sandwich came with fries, and it was alright. Nothing to write home about. What I did enjoy about Fado's was our waiter. He was very attentive, personable and always filled my water glass whenever it became half empty. Since it was our first time in Columbus / Easton Town Center, he took some time to chat with us about the area.

This review is a little old, but I had to put it up!! I went here the day after Christmas with my family & had a wonderful time! It was loud because of several soccer games that were on but we didn't care because there were plenty of other places to sit if you wanted a more quiet atmosphere. Our server looked to be in her early 20's. She was really sweet & answered all of our questions about the food. Overall it was a wonderful time. You really need to try both of these when you go there: Cheese dip & wedges & the Chicken boxty quesadilla sooo good :)

Never a bad experience at Fado... I've been going here since my freshman year of college (11 years ago, yikes!) and I am a regular customer. The fish sandwich/ fish and chips are fantastic, especially the chips, which are the perfect combination of soft and crisp. The British condiment tray adds to the experience. The waiters are all massively friendly. This is a perfect place for a lunch, dinner, and especially meals with friends, since you can be as rowdy as you want. :) (And for that very reason, my friends and I go here a lot). Pub Quiz is also a lot of fun. Be sure to sit by the fire in the fall/winter!

Chain Irish, but it's not bad, just not really good. They tried to make it feel like an Irish pub the way Cracker Barrel tries to exude the feel of a down home country diner. (Is there a company somewhere out there that makes all that stuff you see in these places?) Anyway, they have the usual beer choices, some typical pub grub, some not-so-typical eats, and it's all OK. The service was friendly and quick. That;s all, folks.

I've been to Fado Irish Pub multiple times at this location for a variety of reasons with various people. Consistently, our/my experience has been positive and kept us coming back. Perhaps the on draw back for Fado's is that at times it can be quite crowded for a variety of reasons...keep that mind and act accordingly. One of the better dinners we've had there has been in the cold of winter, being able to sit by the fire and enjoy the very good food and family/friends) with some ice cold Guinness and assorted Irish whiskeys. Soccer season=this place is slammed busy. No surprise there. Duh. The food for myself and all we've had with us has been consistently very good. They do have some "traditional" Irish food along with some "modern"/"main stream" dishes to appease all. The Irish Breakfast is an excellent staple, always a good default. Their steak has been prepared and tasted excellent all times I've had it. Point being, food has been and continues to be, very good. Drinks. They're cold, and they've got alcohol in them. If you don't like Guinness (or other Irish/Scottish/European beers), don't order one. If you do, it's on tap and it's delicious. Service has been consistent. Seems that at times the placement of servers to table is somewhat chaotic; but once we've/they've established where we're sitting and who's going to be our server, the response has been much swifter. Overall, a good Irish pub at an otherwise sometimes painful location (Easton) to go to. Catch it on the off nights and simply sit back and enjoy the company, food, and drinks. Sláinte!

Love this place!! The atmosphere is really unique. Plus they serve the best corned beef I've ever tasted. Corned Beef Rolls are mmmmm delicious! I've returned multiple times, have taken guests here. No complaints other than that it is a little on the pricey side.

Food loves comes to me in the shape of a boxty dipped in hot, melted cheese. The cheese dip and wedges appetizer at Fado keeps my husband and I coming back for more. The place can be a little confusing for a first timer, but for the most part you walk in and grab yourself a seat. A server will spot you, give you menus, come back to take your order and then before too terribly long food and drink will be sitting in front of you. Sounds simple, but it took us a few tries to realize that's what happens. The fish and chips here are good, as are the Smithwick Mini-Burgers. It's not the best food at Easton, but I get in the mood for it anyway, and I like the atmosphere. It's dark and it smells a little stale but for a pub that's just about right. Usually you'll find soccer or golf on the tvs which makes the husband happy and I'm content to people watch or stare at the decor. I hear trivia night is a lot of fun, but I haven't had the chance to give it a try.

I really enjoyed my time at Fado's Irish Pub. I was there with a group (CYP Club) and they had a tent for oysterfest. The staff was very knowledgeable about oysters and let me to try some for the very first time. I also had a oyster harp shooter that although wasn't the best thing I've tried, I'm happy they convinced me. The patio is quite smoky so if you're not a smoker, I probably wouldn't sit out there. Indoors on a Friday or Saturday night can be quite crowded so make sure you find a seat and keep it!

Met my husband and a few of his co-workers for happy hour on a Friday afternoon. My husband did their happy hour deal where you get to choose three items. He got 2 beers and chicken fingers, then ordered a side of fries for a yummy dinner. I decided to get the chicken cheesesteak sandwich with fries. It was tasty, but seemed to be lacking in the mushroom department (it was supposed to be chicken, mushrooms, onions and cheese). We hung out and had some drinks- beer, wine and even an apple martini (one of my favs). It was a good time. Our waitress stopped by every so often to see if we needed more drinks or food. We decided to have some bread pudding at the end. Another yummy treat! Overall, good food, good service. I've never been there late-night, but I know they sometimes have live music and they have a huge St. Patrick's Day party!

A big shout out to Fado for hosting a bloody brilliant US v England World Cup party on Saturday!! I'd been debating several places to go and watch the match and Fado won out because 1) The fact that they were making such a big deal about it. That they were doing something special was all over everything unlike some places which were almost like 'sshhh, we're going to have the World Cup on, but don't tell anybody,' 2) This is the closest to a real pub I've found in Central Ohio and I was hoping that all the other fans who felt that way too would be out (and I was right), and 3) They were setting up a tent out back so there would be plenty of room for everyone! The boy and I got there plenty early and to watch some of the matches that were on before the US and there already was a good crowd of people there. The inside was already packed so we decided to grab some seats in the tent out back. The projection TV was set up in just the right spot for everyone to see and it was nice that there was a bar set up outside so we didn't have to venture inside. Drinks were a bit expensive ($8 for Stella and Guinness) but they were at least full pints and came in a World Cup 2010 cup. One complaint was that the band they had slated to play after the game kept trying to do their mic check during parts of the game! People were not happy about that! I am convinced that if you're serious about football in Columbus, you come to Fado. If I couldn't be in South Africa cheering on the team in person, I think this is the next best spot to be.

Was in Columbus for work so we decided to check out the world-famous (or at least Ohio-famous) Easton Town Center. After hitting up a comedy show at The Funny Bone, we wanted to eat at somewhere a bit more affordable. I had vaguely remembered that there used to be a Fado in Cleveland but I had never gone there, so when I saw that the prices were somewhat reasonable and the menu looked interesting, we decided to go there. Wow. Why did the Fado in Cleveland close? Our meal here was incredible! My wife and I shared the Guinness Mac and Cheese as an appetizer--the sauce worked its way into the shells and the dish was really, really good. For entrees, my wife had the BBQ Chicken Flatbread and I had the Philly Cheesesteak. I don't think the cheesesteak lasted on my plate for more than 5 minutes because I couldn't stop eating it since it was so good! Our waitress was very attentive too--the weather outside was pretty bad and our waitress made sure that we were able to find a better seat where the rain wouldn't hit us. I'd definitely go here again. This place was phenomenal...one of the best values I've found in quite some time.

Love this place. I have spent many a dark, icy Columbus night at this pub. Sometimes hammered enough to order a drink and then order another one assuming I'd finished the first one and then mixing the two and ordering a third one. The bar tenders are reasonable enough to point out the obvious. I know it's a chain. But trust me, in a mall (make belief 'town center') this is the only place I found that wasn't littered with the muppets that think it's their birth right to wear obnoxious clothes and be loud about it. Also a great place to watch football (with a round ball). They open early mornings for European games, and there's nothing like their Irish breakfast and many beers to start and then quickly pause a Saturday morning. Try their bangers and mash, and the chicken boxty.

The service is excellent at Fado! Our server was attentive without being pushy or intrusive, and kept the beer flowing nicely. I had the Blue Crunch Salad, which was very tasty and quite large. I've been here for company events before and have always enjoyed the selection and the service.

Went for my birthday with my mom, awesome service, tried several beers no problem. LOVED the food I had, the All-Day Irish Breakfast with a side of Colcannon. Mom enjoyed her Roasted Red Pepper Hummus and Sauteed Cabbage with Bacon (I loved it to). Will absolutely go back again.

I took my wife here for her birthday and was happy with the overall service of the wait staff. They were friendly and we were taken care of quickly. I order a Guinness and was not disappointed it was a perfect poor. We both enjoyed the Guinness Mac and Cheese a lot. We both got the lamb Sandwich and chips. We both enjoyed the sandwich but was a little disappointed with the temperature of our food. The chips were cold and the sandwich was on the chilly side. Rating the selection at the bar I would give it 5/5 but when I add the food in I have to give it a 4/5 because the food was cold.

My family is a fan. We have been several times. The fish and chips are good, the lunch portion was plenty for me. A friend ordered a wrap and the salad - good deal, because instead of half the wrap, they give you the whole thing. Once again, plenty of food. We enjoy the beer as well of course ;-) Atmosphere is good, cozy, conducive to chit chat, people are parked close, but you can still have some 'us' space at the same time. During non-busy times, it's a pleasure. I have been there when it is packed as well and that can be a little hectic.

I've walked by every visit to Easton and never wandered in until last night. My co-worker and I were in the mood for something different and we guessed good when we wandered in. The beer samples were generous and the waitress was great at making recommendations. I had the corned beef and cabbage, my friend had the fish and chips. Both of us were very pleased with our meals and left room for the excellent desserts. I had the warm brownie topped with Guinness ice cream, she had the rhubarb pie. Again, both of us were happy with our choices. I could see myself coming back many, many times to enjoy food and bringing my husband along for the excellent beer selection/combinations.

Okay so here's the thing. I only ever go to Fado watch football (soccer to the rest of you) because they're open early and serve a good Guinness. They have decent food and the service is also decent. But that's it. I'm not friends with McDouche or McBro so the smell of dumb cologne worn on men trying to hit on MILFs is offensive and annoying. But because they show my games and I can't find anywhere else that shows them; I keep going. It's smaller than The Pub at Polaris with fewer beer selections. It's a little too expensive to make it your "hang out". A little too loud to make it worthy of "talk time" but if your with your friends watching football at 8am with other like minded folks it's worth it.

What a beautiful pub. I had a HUGE salad. Not huge as in the size of your face, but huge as in the size of a hubcap. The salad was fresh, crisp, flavorful, and had the best combination of greens i've seen in a salad in a long time. the bar service was very warm and friendly. They aren't as knowledgable about fancy, or rare drinks, but they know how to crack open a book and try their best at taking a crack at it. the bar tender offered my friend a drink suggestion and nailed it on the head. Its been a long time (ive been gone for 5 years) since i've been to Fado, and you guys knocked it out of the park!

Well, since this is part of that capitalist gangbang on a hill known as Easton, I sort of doubted that I was going to fall in love with this place. It has all the faux-Irish accoutrements you'd expect, lots of wood, phoney memorabilia, etc. Why do corporate eating/drinking establishments ALWAYS have to have a theme? Why can't the theme be great food and great drinks for a great price? (No, no people don't like that, people like phoney Ionic pillars and ethnic themed outfits) Does stating this place is an "Irish" pub somehow attract more customers? The service was kind of lackluster. I watched the employees trotting past me behind the bar, but I'd have to flag them down almost every time to show them my empty beer 3' from their face. They also don't put prices for any of the drinks on the drink menu, and when you get your tab, you'll see why.

I had to run some errands at Easton today and didn't have time to eat all day. My boyfriend was coming to meet me so we decided to meet somewhere to grab a very late lunch/early dinner. While he was on his way, I drove around trying to decide where to go and I saw Fado when I drove by P.F. Chang's. I'd really never even noticed this place before, but seeing that it was an Irish pub, I thought it sounded like fun. He agreed. I parked at the parking lot across the street. It's gated, and when you go in you have to take a ticket and put it in your windshield. But it's free, you don't even need the ticket to get out, you just pull up to the gate at the exit and it lets you out. I'm not sure what the point is of that whole thing. I got there first, so I wanted to grab us a table. When I walked in the front door, I didn't see anyone. Anywhere. I looked around the corner and saw a guy sitting at the bar. No employees anywhere in sight! Another guy came in behind me and both of us stood there wondering what the deal was. Then a woman showed up behind the bar and told us, "Sit wherever you want!" I am so used to being seated I guess, that it didn't occur to me that you could chose your own seating here. So I picked a table that was half booth, half chairs. It was in the corner by the entrance so I could watch for my boyfriend. It was really cute in there, looking very much like an Irish pub. The seating was all very close together, and while it looked very small the place was actually bigger than it seemed because there were a lot of tables but there were a lot of little walls and corners so that sitting areas were kind of sectioned off a bit. It was pretty neat. They were also playing Irish drinking music and I thought that was really fun, but then suddenly started playing some Top 40 hits like Pink and crap mixed in. I don't know where that came from, but I much preferred the Irish stuff. When my boyfriend joined me, our waitress came by and got us some waters and some menus. My boyfriend got the Guinness BBQ Wings for an appetizer. It came with 6 or 12, and we got 6. They came out in about 10 minutes, and they were really good - the BBQ sauce was awesome and the wings were really juicy and pretty meaty. They were sprinkled with slices of green onion and served with celery sticks and bleu cheese dressing. It took us a while to decide what we wanted to order. The menu wasn't all that big and nothing really sounded that appealing to me. My boyfriend decided on the burger and I got the Holiday Pasta. When I ordered it the waitress told me, "Oh, that's very good!" So I was pretty excited. As we were sitting there waiting for our food, our waitress also returned to refill our waters - our glasses never went empty. And more people started filling in the restaurant. When I got there it was around 4:15, so it was a pretty weird time. But as it got later it got more crowded and I was glad that we had beaten the dinner rush. Our food came out after about 20 minutes of us giving our order. Not too bad. My plate/bowl of pasta was HUGE! And my boyfriend's open-faced burger and fries looked scrumptious. We dug right in. My pasta was really good. It was bow-tie pasta with strips of grilled chicken (it came with both chicken and shrimp but I passed on the shrimp), red peppers, asparagus, feta cheese and it was topped with craisins (dried cranberries). It was cooked in this white wine sauce that was all at the bottom so I had to eat from the bottom and work my way up because the sauce was so good. There was also some garlicy bread served on the side. It was really good and unlike anything I've had anywhere else. My boyfriend also got a beer, I forgot to mention. It was called Chimay and was served in this big chalice-like glass. I tried it and it had a bitter aftertaste but was really good. My boyfriend was in love with it. As for his food, he loved it as well. But not as much as I did. He really liked his burger, although he thought it was a bit too done for his taste. He got the Bacon Cheeseburger Mór, which came with the typical toppings you'd expect on a burger. But his fries. They call them chips here. They were some of the best fries I've ever had! They didn't taste like normal fries. They were flaky and so crispy on the outside. It was almost as if they were dipped in a light batter and then fried. And they were wedge fries, so they were thick. There was definitely something to the outside of these fries. Oh, I want some more! They were so good! I'm lucky that he's a sweet guy, because he shared them with me. They were so good that we considered ordering more of them and taking them with us to go, but we had so much food already sitting in front of us. I couldn't even eat half of my pasta there was so much of it, so I had to get a to-go box. This might sound stupid, but I really like their to-go boxes. They feel like they are made out of recycled paper instead of styrofoam. We will be back. For the fries at least!

I have been to Fado many times to watch soccer games. Food and drinks are decent. Last night I was there paid my tab and realized after I sigend it, it was not my name on the credit card slip and the wrong card had been charged for my tab. When I tried to tell the bartender she immediately became combative and argued with me. I was trying to help her out by telling her the mistake. I could have easily walked away and left it to be someone else's problem. She finally took the recipe back to look at it with my card and realized her mistake. There was no apology or thank you. She just set the *corrected* slip on the counter for me to sign and walk away. Poor customer service. I guess next time I wont say anything and then she can deal with the irrate customer who had his/her card chargd for someone else's meal...

I just got back from my first lunch at Fado and I'm pretty surprised. All food was great (pulled lamb French dip and corned beef sandwich) and they actually know how to pour a black and tan. Most places just dump the two beers together letting them mix, but they either use a pouring spoon or are extremely careful not to let the two mix. Also, the fries are the best I've ever had. This is a good place to go if you want to feel normal drinking beer on a Sunday morning during holiday season. All in all, great food, great beer, great setting, and great service.

Fado Irish pub is a safe haven for soccer fanatics! The "authentic" Irish atmosphere draws in all types from all over the Columbus area. While the prices are kind of steep the selection of beers on tap is vast. The Columbus Brewing Company's IPA is one of my top 5 beverages at this point in time and is a must try with their potatoes cheese wedges! The waitresses are awesome and the bar tenders are attentive, be sure to tip well!

The menu was fairly limited but I can live with that. The fish and chips were only 4 star worthy but the service i got pushed the overall exp to a 5. You still have the douche bags in their soccer jerseys like most self proclaimed Irish pubs, but I've learned to accept them.

This place seems like it would be an excellent place to drink, but honestly, the food is really what sets it apart. In a popular neighborhood of easton with about 20 restaurants around it Fado's is really the only irish pub around. All of Easton is a little over priced, but Fado's is affordable and has a friendly knowledgeable staff with excellent food and drinks. The atmosphere is lively but not loud, and comfortable not crowded. Definitely an enjoyable location.

Osu's mens' undefeated basketball had just won by 1 point beating northwestern. We were Easton bound, and were a bit apprehensive about goin there because of traffic after the game. Here's what happened... I phoned in to fado's while on our way to Easton to meet up w friends who wanted good food and drinks, while on the phone w the hostess, I got an estimate on how long it would take to be seated, she estimated a 45 min wait for a table of 4. Me n girlfriend arrived 15 mins mins before our friends did. We stood at the bar for about 10 mins until our friends arrived. We had drinks while we were getting caught up and we stood around waiting for a table to empty by the time i was ready for my third drink our table was ready. Now, that "45 min wait" went from dread to glad in 30 mins. It was an enjoyable wait for a table, though it was a little crowded, however, we were w great company, the food was incredible and well plated and the beers were good, though I did expect for them to have more options of microbrews or local brews. I left feeling pleased. The chicken fingers they serve here are the best in the city. Better than raisen canes. Their menu is pretty authentic and adventurous. I wish I would of tried lamb lollipops. It's lambchops served in a pomegranet reduction sauce. I will b back soon.

Fado offers a great menu and beer selection, and the atmosphere and decor is relevant and traditional. Yes, Fado is a chain and basically at a mall, but is my favorite place at Easton to grab a bite and tall Guiness on draft. Try the Shepherds pie and corned beef rolls, a couple of my my favorites.

Don't expect excellent service at Fado Irish Pub unless you're 1) male (sporting a jersey of some sort) and 2) you're ordering drinks. Clearly my dining companion (i.e. my mom) and I failed to meet both criteria during a recent lunch trip. Fish and chips is a must when in an Irish pub, but chain-wise, Claddagh still holds the award for the best version this artery-clogging comfort food. I personally found FIP's fish & chips rather soggy and just bland in general. As for the Trinity Steak Boxty, nothing on the plate spelled potato pancake (as claimed on the menu.) What was presented, however, was a crepe filled with grilled steak and mushrooms in Stroganoff sauce. The accompanying "seasonal vegetables", you ask? It was a bed of peas and corn that came straight out of the frozen food aisle in a K-Roger near you! The show stealer were obviously not the entrees but rather the dessert: Black and Tan Brownie with Guinness Ice Cream. Warm, moist, and dense, the two brownie bars complemented the ice cream quite nicely. FIP perhaps would have been a better dining experience had we not picked the wrong day to check it out, as crowds gathered in anticipation of the Manchester United/Barcelona game. The sound level went from perfectly normal to ridiculously obnoxious (and unnecessarily so) in a matter of minutes that we were left with no other choice but to scarf down the dessert, pay for the check, and make a mad dash towards the exit. 2.5 stars.

Great place to watch a futbol match with a nice pint. Conveniently located at Easton. Makes some good food. Portion size is quite good. Well priced menu features a variety of options to please you. Service is always prompt and you won't have an empty glass in front of you for very long. Can get busy at nights and on the weekends. Expect to see a lot of shoppers due to the location. Go with a group of friends, pull up a chair and just relax for a few hours here will knocking back a few drinks. Nice vibe to the place as well.

I love love love Fado. The food is good, especially for an Irish pub. The main reason my husband and I go to Fado is for the cheese dip and wedges appetizer. It's a blend of cheeses that is served with fried bread that is just absolutely delicious. My description just can't do this appetizer justice. Whenever we are at Easton, Fado is always a stop of ours. It's an especially perfect place to go on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon in the spring or summer, sit on the patio, get a pint or two and enjoy the people watching that abounds at the Easton Town Center. Fado gets 1/2 taken off for being at Easton Town Center because you have to deal with the parking nightmare especially in the summer and at the holidays. It also gets another 1/2 star deduction because, like most pubs in Ireland, it is seat yourself. Normally this isn't too bad, but when it gets really busy, especially on a Friday night, you have to basically hawk a table, which can be disconcerting to the diners at the table you are waiting for.

I want to like this place but... I'm a big fan of Irish Pubs and Irish food. Have made a number of trips to Ireland so I chose Fado's for lunch. I had fish and chips there not too long ago that was just OK but I thought I'd try it again. I was going to have the Irish Stew but the bartender said he was not a fan and to try the pork chops. Not exactly the Irish food I had in mind but I figured he know what was good so that's what I ordered. After a LONG wait for my food (and the place wasn't overly crowded), it was served with some kind of potato patty that was not good at all. As for the chops, they were way overcooked, were tough and tasteless. Actually, the worst pork chops I've ever had. My bartender (I ate at the bar) refilled my drink after I had shoved it to the edge and I had to flag down another server to get salt. I used steak sauce to give the meat some kind of taste but couldn't eat more than half of the meal - and I was hungry. The high back chairs at the bar were all shaky and loose (I tried a couple) and felt like they were ready to collapse. Overall, I'm giving 2 stars because I like the decor and this place looks like a fun spot to have drinks but I will not buy food there again. There are way too many good restaurants in Easton to be served this kind of bland, average food. Go there for drinks but eat somewhere else first.

Disgusting food. I expect kitch from a mall 'Irish' pub in Columbus, OH. Went there for lunch today and ordered bangers and mash. Awful, not Irish, not American, not good.

Just Ok. I appreciate this is an Irish(ish) Bar and has "pub grub" but I did expect better . Upon the bartenders recommendation, I ordered the cheese dip and wedges. Ughhh. The Pita wedges were deep fried until soggy and dripping with grease and the dip was simply regular melted cheese with some green onions sprinkled on top. It was really unappetizing and I couldn't bring myself to finish it. The only saving grace was the Draft Guinness

We are from out of town and were impressed by Fado and the whole upscale Easton experience. Server was knowledgeable about vast beer selection. She encouraged us to sample many kinds. I got a delicious raspberry. Food was great. Fish tacos for me and Reuben for boyfriend. Appetizer was the best. Cheese dip w bitty-similiar to potato pancakes.

Oh Irish pubs. So many crummy ones and so few good ones. This is one of the good ones. Any pub that has boxty and black/white puddings is all right in my book. And this was one has a grand patio which was a lovely place to wile away the afternoon. I had the chicken and bacon sandwich is a tasty take on a more tradition club sandwich. The boyfriend had the pulled lamb sandwich and was in love with it. The drink menu is small but full of quality stuff. I stuck with Bass but the boy had a Crabbie's Ginger Beer which was amazing. If you like spicy ginger ale, then you need to try it.

My experience at Fado wasn't as great as most everyone else it seems. First off, I was sat at a table that had no lighting. As the sun set, my table got darker and darker (for some odd reason, I don't like food as much when I can't see it clearly). Secondly, my waitress was unusual. While nice and all, she was also really high energy, very self confident, and always popping up when I least expected it (it was dark, so imagine me being startled several times). Not saying that's bad, but it definitely kept me on edge, haha. Third, the food wasn't all that great. I had read good things about the Guinness mayo, so I tried the chips with that dip and the cheese sauce. Can't say I was a fan of either. For my entree, I got the fish & chips - I was really looking forward to dousing the fish with malt vinegar and snacking on it with two hands. Unfortunately, it was too hot to hold and when I tried after it cooled down, it crumbled out of my hands. The fish was just too moist and not crunchy enough for me. The accompanying coleslaw seemed pretty tasteless too. When I mentioned this to my waitress, and told her that I had recently returned from Disneyworld and was hoping for something like what I got in the British part of Epcot, she told me I had been spoiled. She's probably right. Anyway, though I'm not one for much alcohol, I wound the evening up with a cup of Irish Coffee. THAT was the best part of my experience at Fado. An absolutely delicious hot cup of yummy goodness. I should have just filled myself up on five cups of that. Would have been way better! Overall, not a horrible place, and actually seems like a pretty fun place if you do like your beer and spirits (it has a cornhole spot to the side of the restaurant), but not really for me. 2.5 Stars.

My hubby and I decided to try someplace new for lunch. We were originally going to go to Piada, which is right behind Fado. When we entered Fado, a woman's voiced yelled to us "Sit wherever you like!" The waitress came over right away and welcomed us to our supposed new favorite restaurant in Columbus. We both ordered waters, which came out relatively quick. Their menu did not have a large variety, so making a choice proved a bit difficult. after about 10 minutes, we finally decided what we wanted to eat. He got chicken, and I got a salad. And then we waited. and waited. and waited. Finally, our meals came out. Hubby's chicken and asparagus was delicious, and my salad was so-so. Another couple came in after we did, to the same woman yelling at them "If you are going to stay, sit wherever you want." Not very inviting. And the fact that she was standing right next to us made it even less inviting. I overheard her speaking to the couple (they sat right behind us) and she sounded very rude and condescending. I really wasn't overly excited by their service, and the food was alright. I don't think I'll be coming here again.

So torn between 3 and 4 stars...I really like the beer selection and the few appetizers I've had were pretty good, but their happy hour options are not impressive. 9/10 times being el cheapo usually drives my decision, but I'm in a good mood. More on my gripe: They only offered two beers at happy hour prices ($4 pint). One was the Estrella Damm which if I was blindfolded, would swear was a Heineken. I don't hate Heiny, but only drink it when it's given to me. The other was the seasonal Curious Traveler. Right now that's a wheat, pumpkin, shandy. That combination was not appealing to me at all. Such a sadly limited selection for happy hour at a bar like this. I tried the pork belly, hummus, and wings. All are worth recommending. The hummus is topped off with a feta which was strange, but I liked it. The pork belly was melt in your mouth good. The service was above average.

Short Summary: Great happy hour place for a group after work. I have been here more times than I can count. This is one of the happy hour go to places for my work friends. I have went in big groups and with just a couple of people. Inside by the fire can get really hot, even in the winter so beware of where you sit. In the warmer months, the patio is one of my favorite in town. Happy hour prices on food and drinks is fairly good. However, after happy hour it is a little too pricey for just hanging out for drinks. The food is ok but again not that great to stay for dinner. Service is hit or miss. I would say 90% of the time we have had great service but there have been a few times that we had less than stellar service.

The food here was fantastic, they have a great selection of beer, and you can smoke a cigar (outside of course) if your into that kind of thing. but really...this place gets 5 stars because of our (outside) server Chris. All of his suggestions were spot-on! If your lucky enough to get Chris, order everything he recommends...like the fried cheese wedges (they will change your life!) and the fries with peppercorn sauce (heavenly).

Having a large selection of beers on tap this place stands out from the crowd of so called Irish pubs. Having a solid food selection does not disappoint as well. It's a well located establishment in the heart of town. I highly recommend it for anyone passing by. I came here for the game, stayed for the food and drinks. Definitely does not disappoint, while in Columbus.

I like this pub very much and always make sure to stop in when I'm in Columbus. On this trip we had the sheapard's pie which was well seasoned and very good. Because we are from the west coast and the time difference we usually eat here later in the evening. I have never found the pub to be very crowded. The waiting staff is very attentive and the bar tender is amazing. Be sure to ask if they have infused whiskey. On one trip they offered banana infused Jameson and Apple Cinnamon on another and both were very good. I think they serve one of the beat Irish Coffees I have ever had. I will visit this pub every time I'm in Columbus.

My husband had been fiending for some shepherd's pie and a quick Yelp search led us here on a breezy Monday evening. Fado has a dark bar-like interior that smells a lot like cigarette smoke and small, awkward tables. There was no one to seat us for dinner so we wandered around for a minute before a waitress told us to sit anywhere we wanted. My salad was much fresher than I anticipated and our wedge cut fry appetizer with beer cheese and bacon was hot and delicious. The shepherd's pie wasn't the best we've ever had (that honor goes to McGuire's in Destin, FL) but it was adequate in satisfying his craving. I thought it looked like a rather small portion, but he said it was filling. The beef stew wasn't exactly what I expected and it wasn't very beefy but I cleaned my plate and deemed it worthy. The Guinness cheese bread was interesting but not something I'd want to partake in again. Overall Fado was a fun place to try but it won't be making it into our dinner rotation. There aren't too many places to get Irish food, though, so it's nice to have the option and know that the food is fresh and tasty. I should note that it was trivia night and the guy with the mic had a bit of a potty mouth so be wary if you're sensitive to that kind of thing or have kids!

Recently tried fados. What a revelation. Nice local dive in kind of place with some very interesting food and drinks Loved their salmon bites, jalapeño cheese bites and the Jameson ginger beer cocktails. The number of craft beers they carried were also awesome The bartenders were awesome and let me sample many of the craft beers. Great place to hang out and catch some of the local chatter.

Chain "Irish Pub". I thought the Atlanta location was original, but apparently Fado's is all over the country. I watched the World Cup Finals at Fado, so this may not be an accurate representation of the average experience. It was crazy packed with limited seating and also surprisingly few TVs. Overall, not a good "sports bar" in my opinion. They had a jumbo screen outside, which was the main draw of the bar and attracted quite the World Cup crowd. Beer prices were inflated for the event. They charged $9 for a plastic pint of Guinness, which left.a bad taste in my mouth figuratively and literally. I reluctantly switched over to the Bud light special that they had (6 for $20) and shared with the group. I'll probably be back on a regular night to reassess the place, but I am not expecting anything special.

Fado was packed inside due to some random soccer game, so we sat outside in their very large and shaded patio - it was great! The waitress was phenomenal. We had been walking around the mall all day and were very thirsty, but she was very quick with refills. I ordered the fish tacos and a side of the thick cut chips. YOU HAVE TO GET AN ORDER IF THE CHIPS! Awesome! If you love fries - then you'll be very happy. I wish I could have justified just getting two orders of the chips and living off of the fatty carbs for my dinner, but the little angel on my shoulder said noooo and I got the tacos as well. The tacos were very yummy, and they had a nice spicy kick with the sauce that comes on them. My hubby got the French dip which was alright and my friend got the classic fish and chips. It also was alright. Overall, the service is great, the food is alright, the chips are fan-freaking-tastic, and the ambiance is very pleasant. It is a lot like a Claddah if you've been to one of those. Nice but you still get that chain restaurant vibe, which is kind of a bummer. Overall, it's alright, but I wouldn't go back.

A great place to dine outdoors on the patio while enjoying their classic fried fish and fries or a hardy boxty. The service was also nice and helpful in a casual, friendly way.

Fado looks like a place Frodo and Bilbo would hole up in were they shopping in Easton with a few gold coins to blow. The company built the inside design to appear as though it is 3 or 4 little huts all joined together, so it's pretty neat to drink a beer or two and watch the soccer matches and the crowd, which always seems to be having a good time. Not too many places I can get my favorite European beer but Fado has Carlsberg on tap permanently! We had a great meal and some great beers: potato pancake boxty, sandwiching grilled chicken with aioli and pepper jack cheeses, plus numerous foreign beers. Tasty bar food, nice change from an American bar. If you're in Easton, and your dogs are barking from all that shopping, and you're looking for a fun venue to tip back a couple, this place is hard to beat!

On first arriving I thought I was going to have a great evening. I ordered a pint of Magners and it was served properly over ice. I then went and found a table to wait for somebody to come give me a menu so I could eat dinner. I was ignored for over 30 minutes by two different waitresses. I had to ask for a menu and was still ignored after I was given it. They just hurried around only serving large parties and pointedly not looking at me as I tried to grab their attention. The bar staff was good. The waitstaff wouldn't give me the time of day. I ended up paying for my Magners and finding someplace to eat that would provide good service. Next time I'm in Columbus on business I don't think I'll bother trying here again.

I hadn't been into Fado in quite a while, so when we stopped in for a weekend dinner, I was surprised to see the menu had been extensively revamped. While you still get a fair bit of pub staples, they're now featuring proper English chips topped with a variety of different offerings, most interestingly the black pudding and chimichurri. Blood sausage and minced herb sauce is a bit challenging for someone who hasn't had either before, but it worked amazingly well - we were asking for an extra side of the sliced and grilled sausages within a few bites. The Shepard's Pie features an incredibly rich, thick, reduced sauce beneath the fluffy mashed potatoes, and the steak and mushroom boxty just oozes comfort from every bite. One of the nicest surprises was the "Rhubarb Pie" - it's actually an English Rhubarb pudding, baked into a ramekin and served with a cup of sweet golden syrup to pour into the sweet center after you tap open the baked sugar crust over the top. Our last pleasant surprise came when the manager stopped over - we had asked where they get the Black Pudding, and if it was a local supplier. He explained they were getting it specially prepared to order by a local processor, but to serve the needs of customers who had been asking for it, they now sold the black and white puddings or rashers of Irish bacon frozen by the pound for a surprisingly reasonably $5! I wasn't expecting to do some of my grocery shopping at the pub, but it made a fantastic finish to a wonderfully unexpected meal. Thrilled to see how his Easton staple has evolved, and looking forward to making it a regular stop.

Great food good drink and FOOTBALL! Stopped in to watch the Chelsea v Man U game. Place was packed! The server was awesome, never botched an order and she was super busy the whole time. Recently started getting into the craft beers and that was a great choice, lots of really good stuff that you normally can only get a growler type places. Food there is a traditional Irish or Gaelic, and if you like mutton or mushrooms your in for a treat. If your not sure then get a Boxty, they're prolly the most "american" thing and they're great.

I have known this place is fabulous for lunch or dinner. It has great food with a real irish pub feel. Recently we tried the breakfast on the weekends - and it is delicious. We had the breakfast boxty quesadillas and the French toast soldiers. Service is excellent. We will be having brunch here again on the weekends.

Went here for lunch while on business in Columbus. It was a friday in Lent so most of us got the fish n' chips, which was delicious. The server was very friendly and easily managed our group of 12 for lunch, which is probably a max for this location because of the way they've divided their eating space into lots of smaller spaces. The feel is very authentic. Lots of dark wood and small niches for dining and drinking.

If you're a beer fan, this is your place. If you're a soccer fan, even better. I'm neither and still had a good time on my most recent visit. I've been here about 5 times in the last 5 years. Really not many visits, but a lot since I don't come out to Ohio too often. This pub so busy and packed during games that you're guaranteed to bump to at least 10 people from the front door to the bar itself. Just getting service is tough enough when it's busy, try getting a seat. The food is your basic bar food and they do recommend the fish & chips. So, guess what I've had on my last visit? That's right, their fish and chips. Since it was recommended, I figured it would be the best fish and chips ever. To be honest, not the best but pretty good and hit the spot. Service here really depends on how busy this place is. It's usually busy, but I've seen a quiet Fado before. If the weather is fair and aren't here for the games, then I suggest sitting outside. Ironically, had the best service while eating outside. Overall I recommend not for the food or the beers, but to hang out and to enjoy your time. Okay..I recommend for the beers too.

Just OK. I had the shepards pie. It was bland. The salad was fresh. The Guinness cheese bread was not to my liking but was interesting to try. Service was just not great and they were not busy. I probably won't come back.

I've been here a few times for soccer games and the last time I went was on 3/22/15 & had a fabulous time watching the Barcelona/Real Madrid game. You definitely need to make sure you get there early if you want a table! I've rarely seen it not busy!! We started with the Smoked Salmon bites which were recommended by our waiter and they were delicious! Our waiter was attentive and on it, taking empty dishes, filling glasses, even as busy as they got. The crowd was awesome and is always a wonderful time when I go! if you are a soccer fan, this is the place for you!! They even open up at 6-7am depending on which game is on.

Great atmosphere and good beer. I go to Fado's for many Irish-themed events including St. Patrick's Day, St. Balderick's and whenever my friends guest bartend. In the past I've really enjoyed the spinach-artichoke dip and pita - but sadly it's no longer there! :( The best thing about Fado's is the atmosphere. I wouldn't particularly come here for the food - maybe during happy hour if they still do the pick three. Fado's can accomodate large groups and that there's separated bar areas and event areas - this makes it nice when you need to get a break from crowds or the noise. The bathrooms only have two stalls for the ladies and I've seen gals use the men's room on occassion. No one wants to use a port-o-potty in the cold! Just glad that Columbus has a great Irish hangout with yummy beer and friendly staff.

I always have a great time and great food at Fado's. I go there with a couple of regulars who know all the staff. It has a great vibe at night. They offer Pub Quiz night on Mondays where the place is packed with groups of people struggling over their answers over many pints of beer. The food is basic Irish food you would find in a pub of the style. i have never had any problems with my food. The servers are nice but can get overwhelmed at nite because the place ges crowded. Monday and Thursday/Friday nights are usually busy.. The meals will cost you from $5-15 . Overall - I really like the pace because of the good times I have :-) Good Food, Great Service, Good Beer.

Came out to Fado on a Friday afternoon for a quick drink. I wasn't impressed with our service or the beer bread. Prices were average for a pub at Easton, but I think I'd rather spend my money somewhere else. The outdoor patio was pretty nice though. Maybe the actual food makes things a little more worthwhile.

I'm a fan of this place. Stopped in here a few weeks back for lunch. Our original plans were to eat at Northstar across the street, but they had a long line out the door. We were quickly seated at Fado's and our waitress was phenomenal. She gave us plenty of time to look at the menu and ask questions. The food was great and you felt comfortable there too with no rush to do this or that. At times it was noisy, but that was because the World Cup was playing on the tvs throughout the restaurant. It kind of added character to the place too - which was ok! :) Overall the food was good and the prices were reasonable too. We will definitely be eating here again!

Fado is one of our favorite hangouts. We used to hit the Pub Quiz on a regular basis, but work schedules tend to put a wrench in that of late. The Guinness Mac and Cheese is superb, an half price with a few other things after 10PM on weekdays. Personal non-liquor favorite here is the Black Velvet... Guinness over Strongbow cider. Can't really go wrong with anything involving Guinness, though. Definite destination for St. Patrick's, and the St. Baldrick's event to fight pediatric cancer within that celebration is the highlight of the year. Staff is always terrific.

Went here for a farewell party for one of my husband's coworkers. They had a section reserved for us. Cool looking place; I'd like to hang out here and try all the Guinness combos...I had it with Hoegaarden and Strongbow cider--both very good! Snacks and "chips" (which are fries) were $4 til 7 pm so we got an order of the wedge chips with cheese and bacon and mac and cheese with rashers (like Canadian bacon) and peas. As an entree we shared the Shepherd's Pie, which came with a tasty little side salad. All of our food was delicious and came out pretty quick. Our waitress, Heather, was awesome. She dealt with the big crowd we had really well...I'm sure we were annoying...people were standing everywhere around our section. But she managed to bring out trays of food and drinks and squeeze around people with a smile on her face. Everyone got the right stuff. Even if we hadn't gotten the happy hour deals on the snacks, the prices were not outrageous. Good price for the quality of food and service. The Guinness combo drinks were $6.50 each, I'd say everything was pretty averagely priced. I'd definitely come back here if we're ever in the area again.

My boyfriend and I have been meaning to try this place ever since we first came to Columbus last year. Well, we finally made it and it was well worth the wait! We started off with our server's suggestion of the Cheese Dip and Wedges, which was so good that I dreaded the fact that my boyfriend is a scooper and not a dipper because it was gone within 5 minutes. Since we weren't incredibly starving, we decided to split the Pulled Lamb French Dip. Lamb is the one meat that my boyfriend is crazy for if it's cooked right and it was definitely a win of a sandwich. The lamb was pretty juicy and the sauce tasted like it had a slight hint of a BBQ, if I'm not mistaken. I'm especially grateful that our server took it upon himself to split the entree up onto two different plates evenly. I was at least expecting an extra plate, but he went above that expectation. Lastly, we had the chef's dessert of the day, which was a Raspberry Chocolate mousse made with Chambord. Nothing about it is overpowering and it was the cherry on top of an exceptional meal. Overall, our experience was great as well as our server, Chris. He was definitely helpful with the menu and checked back accordingly. This will definitely be a regular date spot for us. :]
