Have been to this diary queen many times. Recently went and arrived at the drive thru at 9:53pm they close at 10. After waiting for a minute in front of the order box all the lights shut off and they never took our order. There were a few cars ahead of us and we were there before they closed and felt we should have been served. Very poor customer service, may not go back to this location.

The slowest "fast" food place I have ever been to in my life. Multiple times I've spent around 10+ minutes waiting in the drive thru. Will definitely be finding somewhere else to go from now on.

In keeping with my current posts why not post ANOTHER ice cream review. I have hardly eaten ice cream over the past few years but the past few weeks that has changed.....A LOT! and in me eating more ice cream I have been craving more ice cream so I called (texted) my friend (and neighbor) and told her I was kidnapping her and her French Bulldog and we were going to Dairy Queen no questions asked, she didn't seem to mind too much. So we took a nice walk to DQ and stood in line. As Melanie pointed out this isn't so much a chain as a local gathering spot, not that I knew anyone but everyone around was incredibly friendly and my friend and I chatted it up with fellow dog lovers and owners. After the long line dwindled down and we ordered our blizzards and a small cone for the dog (funniest thing ever btw! get your dog ice cream you will not regret watching him/her eat it) we sat on a bench and enjoyed a nice evening. If somehow you don't know how amazing blizzards are I'll explain it as scientifically and mathematically as possible. (Soft server ice cream + topping mixed in) x cup = always good. Yes that is proper math, I double check my work.

I once saw a giant Praying Mantis eating ice cream here, other than that its more or less like any other well run DQ.

This DQ is exactly what I expect it to be. Over my many trips here, I've not had a bad/spoiled item, although I've received a few Blizzards with less-than-desirable amounts of "stuff" in them, but that's a rare occurrence in the longrun. The ice cream is of satisfactory quality, and the staff is always quite friendly. I really enjoy sitting outside after using the walk-up window. If you're using the drive thru, it can be troublesome. There's pretty much no room for more than 4 or 5 cars in line, so if it's busy, good luck. However, there are plenty of parking spots, so if the line is long, you can just park. If you drive, it can be difficult making a left turn out. Overall, this is a place worth visiting because the price is low. It's DQ, not Jeni's. Expectations are everything.

This DQ is adorable, but unlike most locations does not provide charbroiled burgers, and while certainly not the end of the world, they don't always make the chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard correctly (vanilla and cookie dough only without browning the ice cream).

Went to this Dairy Queen after vowing to never return to the disaster of a Dairy Queen on Bethel. Arrived and quickly decided on what we wanted. Then waited 10 minutes for the kid who was in front of us in line to stop chatting with his friends. First, he chatted with the girl working. Then, he chatted with the guy working. Clearly they had a lot to catch up on... Once we were able to order, I got the seasonal blizzard with white cake, sprinkles, and frosting - delicious! My boyfriend got a really chocolate-y one. Also delicious. Later on, I asked for water and the girl went above and beyond to give me water in a glass with a ton of ice, a lid, and a straw. We ate on-location at their couple of picnic tables, which was nice for such a beautiful day! This Dairy Queen is pretty much everything I'd want from one, with the exception of the kid in front of us who wouldn't stop talking. We'll definitely return and, as long as that customer isn't there, it should be an opportunity to bump it up to 5 stars!

Had the BBQ Chicken Sandwich. Could have been better. It sure wasn't large enough for how much it cost. A mcdouble from McDonalds weighs more than this thing. The reason why I gave it 2 stars is because of the location. It's in a neighborhood which I like.

I came here for a milkshake when I was sick and feeling down. Then I got a bit addicted. When I saw the two-for-one Blizzards sign, I dragged a friend back. I mean, it's just Dairy Queen. It's not special, it's not healthy, god knows where their food comes from. But, I do have some advice for blizzard-eaters: do not get M&Ms in your blizzard, they are too hard when they're so cold. Do get the specialty chocolate mania blizzards, if you are into chocolate. BAM. Chocolate in your face!

This DQ is within walking distance of my house, so of course we're regulars. Everything is tasty and well done, but they often add too much stuff to the blizzards. There is one guy who always works the drive thru who is fantastic (always friendly, always professional, and always gets the order correct). Otherwise, it's the usual fast food lineup of teenagers. Bottom line: I'd recommend this DQ.

No one has reviewed DQ yet? Pssssh. Soft serve, I love you. This is my friendly neighborhood DQ, and sometimes, even though Jeni's is definitely my favourite ice cream, one just craves a chocolate/vanilla soft serve cone, what can I say? The boy and I come here fairly regularly for a small treat - and we always sit on the bench and eat our cones and get honked at by friends driving by on Indianola. (Another reason that Clintonville rules). Last time we were here, the owner of O'Reilly's was there with her grandkids and was like, "WTF guys, that's not beer!" HA. DQ in our hood isn't so much a chain (even though it obviously is) as it is a community meeting spot. I pretty much only get soft serve cones here, but yes I have tried the chili cheese dog and yes it is amazing (and worthy of several heart attacks). DQ is so freakin' American. What can you do? It's a little slice of sweet nostalgia, a true John Mellencamp song, the Midwest incarnate. I recommend coming here if you're feeling more low key than the (wonderful) culinary adventure that Jeni's is, or if you live in our hood and want to see what your neighbors are up to. Or if you, like me, really like soft serve. Whut!

I'm within walking distance of this fine establishment so I've plenty of time to sample the wares. They have awesome soft serve and no matter how much I love Jeni's and Graeter's - there is no substituting soft serve. For the most part, this DQ gets the mix right - I have been there where there is a bit too much air in it, which gives it a distinctly marshmallow consistency. The service is hit or miss, but I'm not asking for much. There has been the occasional time where I will wait at the window for 5 or 10 minutes while the one person working is dealing with the drive through and hasn't noticed me. And I swear they have a 12-year-old girl working there. But this place is exactly whey I am looking for on a hot Summer day or even a cold, boring Winter evening. I'll keep going back.
