Overrated based on other reviews - use too much bread to hide smallish burgers. Also onion soup is 1/2 bread. Burger also too charred. Food looks way than it tastes. Bread sucks up all juice and sauces and what's left is too dry. Great beers and outdoor patio!! Come to drink and watch sports, but go somewhere else to eat

Typical Columbus strip mall bar. Parking is a hot mess although a parking attendant tries his best to help. Our bartender kept steering us away from our ideas from the menu. Braised short rib flat bread was good, so was the mac & cheese. Tempura style onion chips were a nice onion ring alternative. $60 total dinner for 2 w drinks.

Great looking bar tucked behind some other businesses. Definitely has a good atmosphere. The food is certainly excellent as well with what seems like thousands of ways to customize your burger. Drink selection was decent, draft beers were fresh. I came here on a wednesday for their $5 burger special. That was definitely a good deal. The amount of toppings/condiments that you can put on your burger was amazing. Beef patty was cooked as ordered. On a regular day, though, $10 is just too much for a burger arguably no better in quality and customize-ability than one you could get from five-guys, right across the street. Add on this and that for $1-2 a pop and you could easily be spending $12-15 on a burger. 4 stars for the food (better than most bar joints), atmosphere, drink selection, and staff. - 0.5 stars because the food just isn't worth the price on a regular day.

I love this place. It's the third one in the state, an this one is the biggest. Food is unreal. You can tell on Wednesday when it's half off build your own burgers. Try the maple Mac and cheese, it's life changing. Our server was named Paula and was an absolute sweetheart last week. Took amazing care of us. After eating we moved to the bar outside which was a great atmosphere. Our bartender was a tall guy with tattoos, he was incredibly nice, and knew beers well. Ended getting another app, the wings on his suggestion. So good. We'll be back.

The food here is great! 145 degrees is their ideal temp which they cook the burgers which is pretty cool. The apple Brie flatbread was awesome. Would definitely recommend going on Tuesdays for live jazz or on the weekends for other live bands! Busy nights will bring on a cover charge to get in, but the sexy jams are worth it.

The fried are delicious with the red pepper aioli, I highly recommend. I did a build your own burger and it was very good. It was very clean and fast service, our waitress was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back to this location.

This place has a great patio, great food and good drinks. The menu has a wide variety and will please any foodie or yelper. The patio is just perfect- live music and lots of seating (though I've heard it can get crowded). I had the apple pie burger- it was as awesome as it sounds and the fries were okay. The service was great!

More burger for your buck! Not only does this place have gourmet hamburgers, but they are very great priced. Vegetarian and gluten free options make this place top notch! Grab a pencil and build your dream burger, chicken, breast, turkey breast, salmon cake, etc on your choice of bun with endless toppings and amazing sides that will make your mouth water!! Great atmosphere and friendly staff!! This place is a must try!!! :)

My boyfriend and I walked in starving, and left the same way. The service was okay. The food was beyond mediocre & ridiculously overpriced to say the least. I ordered the Black Bean Bar Tacos, and him the Short Rib Bar Tacos. Being a vegetarian, there weren't many substantial options for me (I'm not a salad girl.) I was served half of a dry black bean burger between a shell & his pork was cold. We were also checked on by various workers 11 times within our 45 minute visit. Definitely overkill. Needless to say, we won't be returning. Bar145° is Applebee's trying to have a personality.

Great drinks! Very accommodating. Fun atmosphere with life bands and big screen tvs. Wish I hadn't eaten before because the food looked amazing but will have to come back. Service was okay but it it's a very busy place.

Came out with a group of 40 people to watch the scheduled band and the manager turned on football and wouldn't let the band start until it was over and was still charging the cover for the band during this time. We lost about 10 people that came to see the band and left because they didn't come to watch football.

We went on Wednesday not knowing this was the "entertainment day". We waited 15 minutes for a table for 5. Once seated, the waitress brought water and immediately asked if we were ready to order even though the menus were brought as she distributed the water. We ordered burgers, salad, soup and sides. After 60 minutes, we were still waiting. We were told our meal was the next order up. After another 30 minutes we finally received our food and it was lukewarm at best. The sides were okay, but greasy since they were cold. 3 out of 5 orders were incorrect and had to be redone. We finally finished our meal 2.5 hours after we arrived. The manager was not very helpful, making excuses for everything. We had to ASK for an adjustment to the bill. The waitress was very apologetic throughout the ordeal. Needless to say, we will NOT return.

I have been extremely excited to check out Bar 145. I waited a few weeks after opening and thought Restaurant Week would be an excellent opportunity to check out the new spot in the Grandview/5XNW neighborhood. I chose the Caesar salad and it was soggy with an odd tomato puree underneath the whole head of romaine lettuce. For my second course I chose the lobster mac & cheese expecting a slam dunk and it was BAD. Actually bad. The smoked gouda was NOT the right cheese choice and the lobster was evident, but dry, bland and a last ditch effort to make it fancy. I ordered the coffee and donuts for the dessert and was surprised by a peppermint patty in the bottom of the coffee cup. What was I supposed to do with that? The tiny donut holes were also dry and disappointing. The best part of my meal was my glass of wine. My husband and I did have a wonderful server and my husband enjoyed his burger very much. If we go back, I would order a black bean burger and skip the rest of the menu. Maybe it was my fault, they only claim to do burgers well.

Did the create your own burger and truffle fries. The fries were decent but in a very small portion. For the burger I did the pretzel roll, beef cooked medium, cheddar, bacon, duck confit, and bourbon steak sauce. Everything was good except the burger itself. It was nowhere near medium, it was somewhere between medium well and we'll done. Service was a little bad as well, our waitress was very friendly but very slow to come to our table throughout the meal. I might go back sometime but no real desire to do it anytime soon.

MAPLE BACON MAC N CHEESE! THE END!! Just kidding...but seriously, get the mac n cheese! I've been here more than 5 times now, and I have had a blast every single time. I've tried to order something new each time, just to get a full range, and so far I have not been disappointed. From the build your own burger to a BLT with egg - delightful! The waitress took the time to explain that they get fresh items daily, grow some of their own spices/lettuce, and actually knew a lot about the beers/whiskeys they offered. My husband got the wings - which are duck - and he was blown away by them. We saw a band on our last visit there, and it was an absolute blast. The whole set up encourages you to get up & have a good time. My friends and I (guy friends, too!) were out on the floor & moving it until close. I would definitely go back to see another group play. Pricing can be a bit high for their mixed drinks, but beers are pretty standard costs. The food is averagely priced, and I feel like it's good quality for what you pay. They do have specials for their burgers, whiskey, & beers during happy hour. They have a very (deceiving from the outside) large area for seating, and a beautiful patio. I hope they keep everything up, because this has become one of my favorite spots!

This place is not that busy to have waited 20 minutes without a server addressing us. STILL ONLY HAVE WATERS! Needs to staff appropriately.

I rather like this joint. I've gone here a few times and always had a good experience. I definitely recommend hitting them up during happy hour time. They'll have a few drafts half off and apps are half off (not sure I'd swing for them at full price). They have a good selection on tap. They have a good choice of burgers on the menu, but you can build your own too. I think their burgers taste good and are worth the price. The fries taste good and come with a tasty aioli. The service has always been good. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. I've never waited long for food.

World Cup game was going so obviously we are going to wait for a table. Bartender got us our drinks while we waited. Then we were seated and my mom ordered a cup of soup and a burger. I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup with a side order of fried green beans. For some reason they don't bring out soups before the actual meal, so when my moms burger came out and the soup was with it she was like "yo I wanted to eat my soup first." And they were all like "oh sorry we usually bring it out with the food". Odd. Burger looked good tho. I am definitely coming back to try it. The onion soup was alright, I wouldn't get it tho. It was salty. So my grilled cheese was really small, they burnt it a little. Other than that, the filled cheese was good and the tomato soup was good. It wasn't super great tho. The fried green beans on the other hand were soooooooo good. Loved them. My server was extra cute too.

I am honestly about to give up on trusting reviews here on yelp tried yet another raved about restaurant from here and yet again I am let down. The atmosphere is ok, there was more focus on the decor than on the food. I came in and was greeted by a few waitresses, asked for a booth that evidently turned into a few minute discussion on whether or not I could sit at. The waitress that waited on me was very nice. She told me that there was a happy hour going on and domestics were on sale, so I asked if I could get a michelob (really wish restaurants would start carrying regular michelob not just michelob ultra you carry budweiser and bud light come on). She told me that the michelob does not qualify as a domestic. I looked over the menu and decided to try the pretzel bites and ordered their burger of the month which was a surf and turf burger which was a burger that had lobster on it. Their menu suggest their "perfect" burger is cooked to 145 hence the name so I decided to go that route. The pretzel bites was good, and the cheese sauce they had was alright could have been thicken up. The food was brought out pretty quick; but this burger was not cooked medium more close to medium-rare and had no flavor to it (I really cannot figure out what it is about this town and seasoning no one seems to season their food here). I finished the sandwich honestly was not impressed at all. Overall just feel this is another case where you are paying for ambiance over food quality.

Worst. Service. Ever. Ever. Ever. I am sitting here writing this review while in the restaurant, mainly because I've had so much time on my hands I thought I may as well take advantage of all this idle time. We called to see if Bar 145 served breakfast and the girl on the phone assured us that they have plenty, especially omelets. So we decide to head over. After waiting a bit... No "hellos" no "be right with you"... Eventually when someone decided to acknowledge us, we were sat at a table. 10 minutes later we were waited on for a drink... There were three of us so we ordered 2 orange juices, a sprite, and three waters. 30 minutes later we all had a water.. at last!! Also, we were then told we couldn't have orange juice because it's for the bar customers only. Ok... We quickly put in our order not knowing when our server would come back... Apparently they no longer make omelets, contrary to what we were told on the phone right before we got here... We all ordered the exact same thing after being refused any adjustments to the meals we originally wanted to make it easy. 3 breakfast sandwiches. When I asked to put the syrup on the side... Our server was pissed. And now it's been 50 minutes later and we still don't have our food... Side note: I've watched some food sitting, ready to be taken to some table somewhere for 10 minutes .... Bet that guest is going to love their cold food. I just asked another server if she could check on our food and she said she would... Drum roll please... It took a whopping 1.5 hour to get our 2 of our 3 breakfast sandwiches! Where is the third meal?? ... And one would guess, ice cold. Manager comped us our meals and is trying to have the kitchen make them again but this time they should be hot. And the wait continues... Finally... 2 hours and we all have food that is warm. It didn't even taste very good, asked for the waffles on the side... Didn't happen. Whatever. Never coming here again. I'm absolutely appalled...

I want to write a good review for this place (all my Toledo friends seem to love it), but I seriously get hangry (hungry plus angry) when I go here. The service is truly atrocious. Which is sad, because the food is quite good (slightly greasy upscale-ish bar food). For example, went there last night with a group of friends. We started off with a round of drinks and apps. All good so far. Then, we put in our entree order. Everyone's food comes out within 20 mins (four entrees) but my friend's and mine are missing. The person dropping off the food doesn't enquire about this glaring lack of food. 25 minutes pass by and our server never makes it back to ask the others how their food is (during which I was hoping to ask about the two missing entrees). Finally, we flag the gentleman down, who arrives and is completely flabbergasted/surprised about the yet-to-arrive food. Annoying. When the food finally gets to us, both my friend's and my entree is cold. Not as ice, but definitely lukewarm and unpleasant. I had to flag the server down again for some warmer food. At this point, however, my friend just gave in out of sheer hunger and decided not to send her entree back. Our server never apologized or offered an explanation. Having previously worked as a server for eight years, I hate tipping less than 20%, but I was kind of forced to this time (left 15%). I realize that the kitchen output times are out of a server's hands, but a simple apology/explanation would've rectified this situation completely and earned Bar 145 more stars. I tried to find a manager too, but there was literally not a single one in sight. So in conclusion, meh. Go here for the booze and tread carefully if you need to eat.

We stopped in for dinner when a soccer game was being televised. They had the sound system for the tv so loud we could not even have a conversation. Our waitress could not hear to take our order. Felt like we were at a concert. Started off with the pretzel bites. But the promised beer cheese was way too thin and was like dunking the pretzels into a liquid. No taste of cheese at all. My friend had the chicken and waffles that he really enjoyed. Although he ate two fries and was done with them. I tried one and I could see why. Recommend choosing a different side. I had the maple bacon Mac and cheese which was quite disappointing. Other than the bacon there was not much flavor to it at all. Thankfully we had a Groupon and didn't pay full price. I would never eat there again. Cool space for a drink or to watch a band. They really need to work on their seasoning of food and even at a sports bar your guests at least want to be able to enjoy each other's company and not have the tv blasting. Which was funny because no one in the place seemed interested in the game.

I visited last Friday for what was going to be a quick happy hour with my girlfriends. They have complimentary valet btw. We ended up staying for over 6 hours. We ordered a few appetizers, and shared the Lobster Mac and a burger. We had their special honey mojito and mint julep drinks. Both were very tasty. Everything came out great!! We met a phenomenal manager Johnny, who took the time to give us the full history of Bar 145 and some other special details. No freezer on site and they use a LOCAL bakery for their buns. The band was great!! From Chicago- they covered the likes of N'Sync to Ginuwine and a little Marvin Gaye!!! A great place to meet friends!

I see I'm not the first person to have a less than stellar experience at Bar 145. We took a party of 3 there last night because the menu looked great, but the problems just kept stacking up and up. First a "medium" burger came out obviously very well done. Odd for a place that prides itself on medium-rare burgers. I'm not one to complain about things like burger doneness except when a place is building their business on doing something well. The burger was replaced, but the 2nd one came out without the listed toppings on the menu which seemed strange, but I was HUNGRY and didn't want to send it back again. Then a bun on another burger was obviously stale .... pretty terrible actually. It was replaced with another, different kind of bun. On to dessert... the creme brulee was the consistency of milk. The custard obviously had not been cooked and/or sat out for a long time perhaps? I'm confused how this could happen.... I know it's not an "easy" dish to prepare, but shouldn't a restaurant be able to do it? The second try on the dessert was just as bad. Third try they brought a different dessert. And then the checks came.... first we were double charged for the overdone burger, and when that was fixed, the sides were on the wrong check. Then once we thought we had figured that out and sent the checks back with the credit card, the receipt came back with an amount that made no sense... was about $15 more than the total of the bills. In the end we must've had 15 different checks/receipts, etc. on the table and while the manager came over to check the overdone burger initially and agreed that the food had problems, not once did they offer to take something off the tab or offer something else. For a restaurant that is attempting to establish itself in a new city, I would think they would be a little more apologetic/helpful. I did feel bad for the server.... she was mortified by all of it. There's no way I could convince any of us to go back to this place. There are too many other great places in Columbus to get burgers. I would have felt a lot better if the manager had come back after everything continued to spiral out of control at our table to apologize/offer coupons/SOMETHING. As it is, I think she wrote us off after we complained about the burger overdone. The good things: - My Bulleit Bourbon mixed drink was only $5 which seemed reasonable, so maybe this would be a good place to drink? - The sauce for the sweet potato fries was delightful. - I liked the Brussels Sprouts and the craisins with them were a nice touch.

GREAT french fries and selection of beers/bourbons. We have been here twice and both times the food and service were good. The place is roomy with a great patio and the entertainment is good, but loud so be prepared for that.

My biggest issue with this place was how my burger was cooked. I asked for my burger medium, and it was rare when it came out. I don't mind a little pink in my burger, but it was so undercooked I was afraid to eat it and needed to send it back. We also asked several questions about the food to our server (the friend I was with is allergic to dairy) and she shrugged off our questions and didn't offer to find out for us . Not sure i would go back again. Too many other great places in the area to try.

Nice place, really good burgers, and nice selection of Bourbons (for Ohio). If you're there for the bourbons, sit at the bar! The servers are friendly but don't know a thing about the selection, and the menu is incomplete.

I've gotta give this place 5 stars based solely on the AMAZING food. Ah-maze-zing. To be honest, I thought this place was a new nightclub or rave based on the sign that's been on 5th for the past few months before they opened. But then I saw the Columbus Underground article and realized that was pretty far from the truth. I was pumped to know a great new place was opening up right around the corner from me - Grandview is always up to something new and exciting and this time around, it's Bar 145. Get there early on the weekends! I went with 5 friends (6 of us total) on a Friday and got there around 6pm to get a table. I'd say there was no wait until around 7pm and then you were in for some loitering at the bar waiting for a table to open up. But that's ok, the bar is a huge wrap-around with plenty of room to not only drink but eat. The hostess was welcoming and the waitress was helpful and attentive all night and pointed out the delicious Happy Hour special of a $4 Angry Bird. Dear lord. Angry Orchard, a shot of Absolut, mint, cinnamon - it was the most delicious drink I've ever had or close to it. If you're curious,, they also offer $2.50 well drinks, $2 bottles, and 1/2 off Gastro Snacks for Happy Hour until 7pm. I'd be happy to take advantage of those deals any night of the week and I probably will! Despite being a vegetarian, I urged my friend to try the bone marrow and she loved it. Cherries came on the side and she wasn't sure what to do with them besides eat them on the side. Do you mix them in your mouth with marrow and blue cheese? She didn't find out, but she certainly enjoyed it, and for $9 you can't beat that. I can easily say I had the BEST black bean burger I've ever had ($11). It's a struggle to find a non-spicy or non-Southwestern black bean burger in the veggie world but this was the perfect substitute for a juicy burger and combined with red pepper sauce, fresh tomato, and spinach on soft-yet-crispy foccacia - I died. I'm afraid of how close I live - I'm going to be ordering carry-out every day. On the side were perfectly cooked truffle fries with the king of dipping sauces - aioli. yumyumyum. Another friend ordered the green beans and is this ever going to end? This never-ending barrage of deliciously-new-and-improved takes on classic-but-uninspired bar food? NO. No, it's not. They were tempura green beans, nice and light flaky breading around tender bean and amazing sweet sauce. And here comes the melt-in-your-mouth buttery pretzels with chive dipping sauce. Oh and on your left you will see the Apple Pie burger and your friends practically inhaling it's goodness. You can build your own burger but I would leave that up to the professionals and try every single innovative, taste-bud-exploding, burger on the menu first. Only when you've tried every single one of them would I build my own, which was tempting with such a great list of toppings, breads, and sauces. Atmosphere: sports bar but WAY better. I'm typically not a huge sports bar fan, but this didn't feel like one at all, at least not in the traditional sense. There were screens, but they were limited to over the bar instead of plastered on every wall. The ceilings were more than "vaulted" - they were sky high so there was an amazing open-feel to the whole place. In general, it was huge, not only compared to typical places in Grandview but Columbus in general. The lights were low and the place had a comfortable, warm feel. The stage area looked great and I know it would be really fun to see music there. I really can't wait to visit the patio in nicer weather. Overall: I'm coming back AND SOON. I could not believe how affordable this place was and for the food you get, they could charge a lot more (but please don't)!

I'm kind of on the fence between 2 and 3 stars for Bar 145. The place is located in a bit of an obscure section of 5th Ave. You have to park in the back. Going in, the atmosphere is reminiscent of the inside of a shoe warehouse store. It felt pretty sterile and did not feel intimate. There was a lot of gray and not much color. Other than a few guys in suits, they place was pretty empty during lunch hour. The waitress seemed a little bit spacy and she was perched on a table doing school work. While she did periodically check up on us, the service seemed pretty slow. The food was generally overpriced (coming to around $14 for a burger, drink and fries which was something of shame because it was actually pretty good. You could fill out a checklist and name your burger. I decided to name my burger The Benzel (my last name). It featured, spinach, gouda, bacon and mushrooms. The burger was of reasonable size. The bread was slightly rubbery but the presentation generally looked pretty appetizing. The burger patty was high quality and the blend of toppings was very good overall. Having the option of high quality cheeses like Gouda were a really nice touch. The bacon was nice, thick and flavorful. It was obviously of high quality. The French fries were a tad too cold and were a bit too overdone with Garlic. All on all, a solid burger in a good location of town with some nice organic/gourmet touches. However, Bar 145 is marred by higher than average prices and a sterile atmosphere. I do wonder if my experience would be any different going forward during a busier time and whether the staff was just taking a siesta.

Decent new restaurant. Certainly has potential, there were some good things and some not so good things about tonight's meal. Granted it was restaurant week ($20 for my three course meal), and happy hour when we ate, which may have been why it took about 25 minutes from after they took my soup until they brought my entree. But I don't mind longer meals if I have no plans afterward. The French onion soup was ok, kinda small, the cheese wasn't fully melted, and almost more bread than broth, but pretty good. $2 domestics during happy hour (4-7 I think) but a good craft bottle and draft selection. My chicken and waffles were good, looked kinda small on the plate, a chicken breast, and half a waffle, but certainly filling. They came with an almost more savory than sweet syrup, and some delicious Mac and cheese with maple bacon. My wife got a grilled chicken Caesar salad, I figured my entree was the hold up for the food, but when my chicken and waffles came out, they only gave her the chicken, a couple minutes later brought out the grilled lettuce and a few minutes after that, her bread. The three separate trips were obviously inefficient and somewhat of a bother. She seemed pleased with her meal, but liked The Crest's similar salad better. My dessert, the coffee and donuts were decent. Coffee was good, sweet but good. The donuts looked like little, hot, dough disks sprinkled with powdered sugar, nothing special, but a nice sweet treat to end the meal. The space itself was nice, large and loud (both literally and it's decor). Tables seemed cheap and lightweight, and pretty close together. It did get pretty crowded toward the end of our meal but never a wait, although this was pretty early on a Monday. I could see parking being an issue as when we arrived there were few spots left to park and the restaurant was dead when we arrived. I could see this place being a decent option for game days if they put up a few projection TVs. Nice large space, and I'm sure it will only get better but I wouldn't come back for a few months.

I had high expectations for this restaurant and its burgers, but I left underwhelmed. The Red Chuck cherry mojito was pleasant, but a bit too sweet. I got the bison burger, which despite being cooked perfectly at medium, it still tasted bland and dry. I thought the bacon on it was too salty, and the burger was missing the crunch and tangy factors (ie, pickles would have been a nice addition). I tasted the Americana burger, which also was pretty bland and the beef patty was small. The truffle fries and the maple bacon mac were pretty tasty though. Not sure if I'd come back. I feel like the restaurant is hiding behind a lot of hip words and toppings, but the basics aren't well executed. Our server, Danielle, was excellent though!

The atmosphere is a little uninspired, the server was fantastic but the food...it's just not great. I thought the presentation on what we ordered was either pretentious (it's a bar people, upscale but still a bar) or it looked like a dogs dinner. Both of our burgers were well done, which is what they are named for and of all things should be above reproach. The truffle fries had waaaay to much truffle oil and tasted vaguely like the inside of a taxi. Our drinks were really great, but the location is a little too out of the way to be a good stop for cocktails. However, if they don't get the kitchen in line that might be the only thing they have going for them. If that's the case, I really don't see a long future for Bar 145, at least in this location.

Two hours waiting and still no food. Came in to watch a football game and they were "busy" I guess that's why they've screwed up our order. It seems as if they're wait staff has never served before. That's not my problem though. Our food and drinks should've been to us right out of the kitchen. I will not be dining here again.

I would give this one star, but our waitress, the people watching, and the so-terrible-they're-great band that played made it more enjoyable. So let's get started. When our group (of 3) came in, they told us how long the wait was, made it sound impossible to get a seat before the restaurant closed and we went to the bathroom to freshen up while we waited. Notice; nobody took our name! What?! All restaurants at least TRY to get their wait list filled, or so I thought. We walked back to the hostess and told her we wanted to add our name to the seemingly epic list, and she asked what it was. She was endlessly confused, told us our name was not on the list and she was sorry.. Oh Goodness. We then clearly explained to her the mistake and it tested my patience like no other. She told us it'd be 45 min and we would have to stand. We waited 6 whole minutes before being seated. We sat in a section they were closing 40 min after we received menus due to the Friday night band performing. The waitress was so nice, everyone else had a stick so far up their butt. Other key features of the joint: *their branding is horrific *hair in my friends ice cube (posted in photos) *no coat or purse hooks in the restroom.

I just love Bar145. They always have great service and their bar staff is always very knowledgable about both their cocktail and food menu. Take advantage of their complimentary valet. I recommend grabbing a late dinner then staying for their live music on Fridays and Saturdays. All the bands I've seen there so far have been great!

We have eaten here a few times over the last few months. The first time the service was terrible but the food was excellent and they provided some free appetizers to compensate for the admittedly poor service. So we went back - service was still poor - order is wrong, waiter disappeared for long periods. Food was ok. Last week - on a Wednesday night - service was awful. The burgers were overcooked - had to be sent back. Next one was raw. This is suppose to be their specialty? The place was not busy and you still could not get drinks brought to the table in a timely manner. We asked the "manager" to come over to see the quality of the food - he came over when we were leaving - apologized and made excuses about new people-it was clear that he had no idea what was going on at his restaurant. Good thing this place does not rely on food and service or it will be gone within the year.

Great food, great place but terrible service. We have come the last two Sunday's and they were highly under staffed. I spoke with the manager both Sundays, both times his excuse was that they had no idea they would be busy......HEY BUDDY, it's football Sunday and there are also 18k people here for the Marathon! It's sad that a great place like this is such poorly managed. We will NOT be back.

Great beverage selection, especially the bourbon, as advertised. I drank Kentucky Lemonades and had an amazing burger on a GLUTEN FREE bun. That doesn't happen a lot. We were also there on a live band karaoke night and it was super fun. Will totally be going back.

Although I truly appreciate the restaurant reaching out about my previous review, after another disappointing meal (build your own burger + small plates), I still cannot give this place more than 2 stars. This is based solely on food flavors (one-note), an overwhelming reliance on fried, and consistently poor service. As the restaurant pointed out in their response to my initial review, this is a "from scratch" kitchen. I would expect, then, food to come out hot and not room temperature (fried green beans; bacon mac), and for the server to maintain a friendly demeanor (not the case on a recent visit). I almost exclusively frequent "from scratch" restaurants, many of which serve much more complicated, inspired and difficult to prepare dishes (e.g., Till, The Table, Harvest, The Pearl, The Sycamore, etc.), and rarely do I experience the inconsistent quality and service that I have experienced here. I won't be rushing back.

I don't think the food or drinks are that great. You would think with the way they present their menu and once you see the prices you would think the items would be exceptional, sadly, they aren't. A little pricy for the amount of food you get. $12 for four of their Bar Wings was a little too much as far as I'm concerned.

Worst service I've ever had. The bar tender was more helpful...the girl was more worried about chatting it Up rather than bringing us our drinks or even a glass. Food was okay, but they had no idea who's food was whose .. Really unorganized. And my fries were soggy. Really disappointed especially since we went for a family birthday . Won't be returning.

Stopped in Saturday for an early-ish 6pm dinner. The lower level was already nearly full and we we were seated upstairs in the mezzanine second bar area. The interior is very bar louie esque but slightly smaller. Top 40 music blaring which didn't bother me but I know some will be annoyed. Their menu is pretty impressive - light years better than bar Louie and if this is the direction of chain restaurants, I'm down. We took forever to order but went with the duck wings, build your own burger, a salad and side of maple bacon Mac and cheese and fried green beans. The ducks wings were awesome. Tons of meat with no funky sketchy or chewy bites. Even the skin was deliciously crisp and edible. The bf didn't think they were hot but I found the spice level to be just perfect for me. Enough duck that by itself it'd be plenty for one person as a meal. For our meal I just went with their house salad and side of maple bacon Mac. The Mac is pretty heavy and filling and a good side portion for the price. Loved the slight maple flavor. I like how all their sides are $2-$3 and honestly you could build yourself a meal out of sides here as they all sound appealing. I tried the bf's burger and it was well a burger. He said it was an 89 out of 100 and he'd come back for another. The fried green beans were super yummy. Not overly fried and beans were still crisp and fresh with a nice sweet and spicy Asian sauce drizzled on top. I'm eyeing the lobster and asparagus Mac and cheese or the fried chicken and waffles for our next visit. Bf enjoyed 2 beers forget the kind for $6 a pop (menu only lists prices for wine which is verrrry annoying). My house merlot was 6.5. Non house wines were all over $8 which I thought was a tad overpriced for the type of place. Service was good! The uniforms are a little cheesy but whatever. Between the red chucks and red track-esque jackets it was a little much.

Went last Wednesday for the make your own burger special at lunch ($5 without "premium toppings"). There were some interesting items to consider but I went pretty basic for the first try here - had cheddar, house cured bacon house steak sauce and a pretzel bun. The fries came w an aioli, $2 w the make your own $5 burger but I think they're included otherwise. Our server was nice and helpful. The kitchen must be ironing out some kinks as our 4 top received two orders then the other two burgers came out and finally the fries for those last two burgers. It was good enough that I will go back again although it might be hard to go any other day then the Wednesday special.

I thought the food was excellent. I had the bar wings which are actually duck legs with a buffalo and blue cheese sauce. They were very tasty. For dinner I had chicken and waffles which were also very good. Service could be faster and the place is pretty noisy but that is expected. I will be back soon

When I read that "Chucks, Whiskey and Burgers" was their theme, I thought this was a place created from my dreams. But if you take any Arena District bar and move it to Grandview...add a kitchen, a 2nd floor, a stage and a never-ending stream of early 90's rock, you'll get Bar 145. We ordered the loaded truffle fries, Balsamic Bleu Burger (w/ truffle fries), and the Simpleton Burger (w/ onion fries). Our loaded fries was served with some sort of aoli. I really couldn't tell what kind of aoli it was because the flavor of mayonnaise was just way too overpowering. The fries would have been good if it wasn't drowning in bland gravy (literally, drowning, it was gravy soup topped with a side of fries). BF's balsamic bleu burger was way too heavy on the bleu, but otherwise tasty. His fries may have been the most tasty and flavorful item we had that night. My simpleton burger was waaaay too heavy on the cream cheese, unfortunately negating every other flavor in the burger. The onion fries that came with it.....5 "petals" of fried onion, laid on a pool of aoli and served with a side of some kind of sweet balsamic sauce. Our entire was a costly $50 or so, and for that price, I may as well head to Barrel44 for better burgers and whiskey. I think this place would be awesome for happy hour (Mon-Fri, 4-7pm), otherwise I wouldn't add this place to my list of burger joints. Parking is limited, but if you do happen to arrive later, a lot of the "customer only" parking spots are free after 7 or 8pm.

Just went to dinner here tonight. First time but won't bother going back. Cool atmosphere, good live music (even on a wednesday) and we had a nice server but...the food was unbelievably disappointing. I got a burger and fries. The burger was cooked well and tender but no flavor whatsoever. The bun was good. Fries had no flavor, were cold and the red pepper aioli was all mayo, no seasoning. I ate 3 fries. Also got the bar nachos with duck confit...you get 4 with the small order...I ate one of them. Once again zero flavor. My wife got the turkey panini. Wasn't bad. Looked like they turned over a hamburger bun and put it on the panini press. The components of the turkey panini didn't make sense together and didn't complement each other. My wife also didn't bother to eat her fries. Only good part of the meal was that the burger was half off tonight. At the risk of discrediting my whole review, I would have rather went across the street to McDonald's. Food would have been seasoned at a 1/3 of the price.

First timers to this burger bar. I was really excited when I read the menu online. We came before a concert. Our waitress set the tone and for the meal. She seemed like ahe was just going though the motions. We told her we had never been before and she just looked at us. No suggestions, offers of the specials of the day, just ok what do you want to drink. Nothing horrible I just expected more. For the food we all got burgers 3 got fries and 1 green bean. I ordered mine 145 and it came out closer to well and on the wrong bun. With all the hype of the perfect temp I expected a perfectly cooked burger. Everything we asked for such as 1 green bean, pretzel bun, and meat temps were forgotten about. She even forgot about a martini ordered with little to no apologies. Overall yeah the burgers were pretty good but not something I would come back for.

Bar 145 Conclusion: I would recommend this place if you're in the mood for a good burger or some unique bar food that you probably have never had. They have quite an impressive menu selection, good service, and great food. I tried the duck wings, they were really good. I loved the crispy skin and flavor of the spices. A little too mild for my usual taste, but I really liked it. Besides its better for a restaurant to err on the side of caution because most people can't handle the heat. *I'd give the duck wings a 96/100. I liked the side dish selections, and how inexpensive they were (I got friend green beans which were a good alternative to fries 90/100). I also got the build a burger; love the topping options and affordability. I give the burger a 89/100. It could have been a little warmer when they brought it out. That would have bumped it up from a B+ to an A-. Single Complaint: Post your beer prices somewhere (menu or a board). Beers were $6 for a domestic IPA which was a tad bit too much for a place with this location. I got two, but would have got three for $5 each.

Solid new choice in Grandview. The green bean app is addictive! Burger was tasty. Happy hour beer prices made me happy. For being open only a couple of days, it seemed they already had their act together. Service was friendly and attentive. The place is huge! Super high ceilings and cool vibe. We will be back!

Good Burger, bad service, half the menu was unavailable. 3 different beers that our table asked for they didn't have. No desserts were available. Horrible ice, which is a no no at a bourbon bar. It's a management issue. Hope they get on the ball.

Bad service. Mediocre food. Not pleased at all with my experience. Been here multiple times because of the live music which is always great and the convenient location. Claims to be a burger place but every time I've been here the burger has been- at best- average. Dry and not cooked to the right temperature. And then My brother's was almost raw. Come for the live music which is great, get drunk at home for cheap, and grill your own burger.

The first drink I ordered was a pear mixed drink featured on the menu - it wasn't good at all. The ladies I was w agreed it tasted like bubble gum. I returned it and ordered a dirty martini. Then 25 min. after I order my meal I'm told they were out of what I ordered :( the truffle and ham skillet pizza, I was really bummed. Then when my martini came it didn't have the blue cheese stuffed olives like on the menu. Oh man now I'm really bummed and my experience had been lack luster up to this point. I then ordered the portobello press and a side of truffle fries. All of which were amazing. I would go back but I was unimpressed w the kitchen and the bar staff this night. Our server was nice and prompt - I did NOT receive any discount for my lack luster experience I didn't ask for one either. The fried green beans are not as good as others I've had and they didn't come w any dipping sauce??? - but the truffle fries were a star for sure! Ill order a big order if I visit again. The live music was pretty good and we danced a little bit :)

Well I've been here multiple times before and it was good - decent burgers with interesting condiments, fries, etc. live bands are nice too. I won't be going back again though, due to the service we had last night. As we were dancing out on the dance floor, the bouncer came over and carded our entire table. After we had already ordered drinks and food (got carded for the drinks), visibly sitting out on the table we had been sitting at. So I went to the bar and politely enquired as to why our table was carded and if this was normal. The bar tender was extremely rude and catty with me, saying it was normal to card everyone in the bar and if they ask you for your ID you have to show it again (Uh...yeah already knew that but thanks). I also told her I've been there multiple times before and I've never had that issue and her response was "well it wouldn't be a problem if you all had valid IDs would it?". Well yes, it is a problem because we'd already been carded once and we were interrupted and singled out as the only group on the dance floor in front of the whole restaurant and asked for our IDs. No other tables got carded. So yeah, that's a problem. Improve your customer service, I've worked in customer service for 8 years and even I know better than to get catty and give attitude to a paying customer Update: the manager contacted me to resolve the situation. I appreciate it when businesses do this because it shows they care about their customer service. Thank you for doing that. I also forgot to mention that when I told my waitress that the bartender was being rude she went out of her way to get me drinks even though she was ending her shift.

Very disappointed. The hostess was very friendly and attentive. Our server...not so much. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, and it still took him a while to make it to us. We asked him about a drink, and he just took the menu from my hand and read the description...which didn't answer my question. We placed drink orders, and I was told that the beer I wanted was sold out. I chose another beer - however, about 15 minutes later, they found some of the beer I originally wanted so they didn't bring me my 2nd choice. It was warm. It also took a very long time for the other members of my party to receive their drinks. The food. My friends got the build your own burgers. My boyfriend and I got the restaurant week food. The salads took almost 20 minutes to arrive, and the entrees arrived about 2 minutes later. That was really annoying, but I guess I couldn't complain because the salad wasn't really that good anyway. My friends seemed to like their burgers, but the fries were soggy. I got the lobster mac and cheese, and I think there were pieces of raw meat and definitely raw asparagus in it. It was not good. My boyfriend got the chicken and waffles but had barely any syrup when it arrived, so he flagged down our server (which took about 5 minutes...meanwhile the restaurant was still not busy) and asked for syrup. About 5 minutes later he brought what appeared to be syrup----it was a soy sauce mixture. My boyfriend had unknowingly poured it onto his meal, which was then ruined. We had to flag down the server (again took a while) and instead of offering a new meal, he just took the plate. He came up with some excuse that the kitchen had messed up, but a few minutes later he was standing behind our table with the manager and we clearly overheard him telling the manager that he had asked for the wrong sauce. They refunded just $6 for the ruined meal...but my boyfriend didn't have dinner. I was disappointed that the manager did not apologize or try to make the situation right. Dessert took another 20 minutes to arrive. Meanwhile, all of our drinks were empty. When dessert did arrive, I got the coffee and donuts. The donuts tasted like crackers. The coffee tasted like minty water. My boyfriend said that his cheesecake was alright. The server did not offer my friends dessert (ours came with our restaurant week meal), and after a few attempts to flag him (or any other server), they gave up on dessert. It then took forever to get our checks. Keep in mind that we arrived on MONDAY at 5pm and were not out of there until past 7:30pm---there was no reason for service to take so long. It was not busy. Our server appeared to have just one other table. I could understand if it were Friday or Saturday, but on Monday?! No excuse. Overall, poor service. The food was not good. I would not recommend this place to anybody. Definitely not worth the price for restaurant week.

This is not my first time here - nor my first bad experience either but went because my co-worker wanted to try it. Food is good (minus the mac and bacon) but service sucks. We just got back from lunch (we had an hour) and it took almost 25 minutes to get my medium cooked burger out to us. Needless to say we would have had 5 minutes to eat the thing with drive time and placing our order in. We walked out as our food was coming because we just did not have time to wait - they offered to box it up for us but we declined sucks because I WAS very hungry. We had also put in a food to-go order for some co-workers back at the office and unfortunately we were not able to wait for those either. This is not my first bad experience here either. I had the Mac and Bacon one time which almost made me throw up in my mouth because it was just too cheesey and the cheese tasted like cardboard. Our server did not check back in with us which is unfortnate given that I too also waitdress on the side. Overall it was just again another disappointing experience for me. I probably will not be headed back there any time soon.

Food is decent- the wings and Mac & cheese are good. Service completely turned me off - Very slow and the servers and bartenders seem like they'd rather be elsewhere. Not worth going back in our opinion.

Service is slow. Expect it. Once you realize it and expect it, you can move beyond it and focus on what matters: Attitudes and food. The server I had was pleasant. The food? Well... lunch special. $5 burger. Five. Dollar. Burger. You "get what you pay for" I feel. I ordered medium (because, first time, I never trust a place's temp ratings). It was more medium-rare (how I would order it). I dread ordering med-rare here in case it comes out rare. The burger was juicy, the toppings, plenty. The truffle fries? Awesome. SO GOOD. I'm thinking about them now. The deviled eggs? Right up my alley. I liked it for lunch - despite the long, slow service. I'll be back for lunch, and maybe a burger at other times, and maybe catch a show.

Summary: I used to love this place and rave about it to out of town friends. The past two times have been terrible and we will not be back. I was looking for a good burger place to take my brother and our girlfriend for dinner before jurassic world, and bar 145 and bareburger were our options. We decided on bar 145, and had absurd wait times to be greeted, to get water, to put in our orders, to get our appetizers, to get our food, and to get our checks. Our waitress didn't seem to have a grip on what she was doing, which is fine if she's new, but don't schedule her on a Saturday night. The place used to be packed on the weekends, but the last two times, it's been pretty empty, so there's no excuse that she was stretched too thin. Our appetizers came and she didn't come to check on us in a reasonable amount of time, so one of us had to go and ask for plates. Again, it took too long to get our main courses. They brought out my brother and his girlfriend's food, one of which was undercooked, and said nothing about mine and my girlfriend's. We flagged down our waitress and she was flustered trying to figure out what happened. I watched her go back and put our orders in the computer and walk around a bit, before coming back and telling us that there was a kitchen error. I asked to talk to the manager, but she took about 7 minutes before even telling him. He then waited until our food came out before coming over to us. I explained to him that our service was unacceptable. He said that he couldn't comp an entire table and that this is the fourth or fifth table he's had to come over to tonight, that he's been the manager for two months and hired 9 people and was trying to change things, and so on. He said that he would make sure the check was fair because we he wanted us to leave happy. We then waited another twenty five minutes before our waitress came back with five checks. One for each of us and then one catch all for appetizers and anything else. We explained that she should just split everything in half. As we waited, we heard a lady walk by with the checks for her table and say "this place is a piece of s***." Clearly we weren't the only ones having terrible service. It suddenly clicked why this place was so empty. We were unhappy with how much our checks ended up being for poor service and mediocre food, especially after the managers guarantee. I can't imagine how a place could fall off so much in a matter of months in terms of both service and food. Overall, this place is much better suited for the show Bar Rescue than for a good burger. I won't be back.

Long story short: food is fine, service is stretched thin, they don't follow their lunch special ads and we won't be back. My fiance and I have been wanting to try this place for a while and unfortunately won't be back. We popped in for lunch because of an advertised $10 lunch that included a build it yourself burger, choice of side and a soda. We got there right after opening and Josh (the only server) was fairly prompt getting us some water and menus. He briefly explained the special which was the whole reason we came for lunch. We ordered the fried mozzarella appetizer which was actually pretty delicious. We placed our orders for our burgers which I assumed came with a side of fries since it specified that in the deal on Facebook. My fiance ordered mac and cheese as his side. Anyways, we got our burgers and he got his mac and cheese but I got no side dish. Josh came back after a while, there were about 6 tables full and he was the only server, so he was pretty busy. I asked for my side of fries and he said sorry and that I should have ordered them and should have explained it better. Once we got our bill, we were charged for one soda and the side of fries. I asked him why and he said that the soda and fries were extra even though I told him the Facebook ad said otherwise and we weren't charged for both sides and both sodas. He apologized and fixed nothing.

Happy, happy, HAPPY hour! Bar 145 serves up a great selection of happy hour specials. The pretzel bites and fries are always a nice side to an ice cold beer. If you want to stick around for some substantial offerings, the build-your-own burger is great! Check some boxes on a convenient scorecard. Get whatever you want: pretzel bun, well-done, swiss cheese, extra ketchup, and hold the tomatoes. Yum! The bar/restaurant is fairly large - lots of tables/booths, bar space, etc. However, the biggest hang up is the limited parking space outside the building. The space turns a little weird between happy hour and late night - the lights go down, the music turns up. Get there early for specials, parking, and low key atmosphere.

Big fan of Bar 145. Burgers, Bourbon and Bands is their logo, so naturally the stick to the burgers. I do the "create your own" option which has outstanding choices and theyre always cooked to perfection. Not to mention theyre 5$ on Wednesdays! Also an awesome craft beer selection and perfect truffle fries. They come with a red pepper aoli which is wonderful and they are some of my favorite fries in the Columbus area. Just wish the portions of sides were a little bigger.

To sum it up: good food, weird vibes. We went on a weekend for lunch and were surprised how empty it was, but again that is how many restaurants are during the day. The dishes we got were definitely good and unique. I have also been there before at night just for drinks around 10 and found that that was a better vibe than going for lunch. I think it would be a really fun place to go, assuming it was filled up a bit more, for a concert of some sort. It's a really cool environment but almost seems like the space is too big.

Band is great location is great..... Service...... Only thing that was fast was the checks. I'd say I'm a pretty patient person and I was very upset how slow the drinks, and orders came. The fastest thing my friends got was the boot out the door thanks Em!

Good drinks, good food, good prices, if you want a place to go get a burger cooked the way you want it, order a well done burger and get the truffle fries, with a beer, you cannot lose. It's too bad they don't have gravy for the fries though but the cheese dip is a good substitute. A 5$ burger the way you want it is definitely going to be my normal Wednesday night out.

I've been to Bar 145 a few times now and each time it's been fine, but I think it has an identity crisis: one part music venue, one part bar, one part restaurant. One part music venue: there is a stage at the front of the bar where bands sometimes play. This necessitated that they made the bar larger to allow them to move the tables around in front of the stage to so people could stand there for the shows. It also meant that they had to make the ceilings higher than you would find at other bars. One part bar: well, maybe two parts bar since there's a bar on both the inside and the outside. Nevertheless, there are bars here. One part restaurant: they serve food both at the bars and at the tables surrounding the bars. The problem with trying to do all three of these? The architecture just makes everything feel disjointed. In particular, the sprawl of the tables across the floor and the high ceilings combine to make you feel separated from the establishment itself. Everything here is fine, just not a place you'd go out of your way to see.

It was a fine experience. The burgers are burgers and the drinks are drinks. Not bad, but nothing special. Everything was reasonably priced. Our service was good. Our original bill had everything full price during happy hour, but the waitress quickly fixed the issue with a smile. No harm no foul. At the end of the day, I'm just not sure its my place to eat or drink. Its not the most relaxing environment. Its pretty loud, with a bright red decor, and the lighting was constantly changing during our hour stay. I know lights go down as the night goes on, but this place almost seemed like it was almost a club. Not bad if thats what you want. Its probably great at night when they have live bands and you just want some drinks. Not so much for a relaxing happy hour and a bite to eat.

I was excited to see poutine on the menu, but it was just OK. The consistency didn't really work for me; it was just a mushy mess instead of crisp fries with spots of juicy gravy. Not enough or the right deployment of cheese, either. Their pretzel bites were very tasty and the specials on beer prices were reasonable. Our server was friendly and it made for a good spot for some happy hour appetizers and drinks. The happy hour appetizer menu is limited. That's unfortunate because they have a lot of good sounding apps. The pretzel bites were on special, though, so look for them. I wonder what it is like when there is a band playing. I was surprised by the big stage. I'd visit again.

Bar 145 was ok. I didn't spend much time here, and really didn't want to. We stayed for a drink and an appetizer and then went up the road to somewhere else. The atmosphere was pretty harsh, with red lights that beat down on you and make it hard to relax. I was trying to read one of the local magazines and the glare was just too much. I guess if you wanted to get your dance on it would be alright, but not for sitting and eating. Beer selection was decent, with some good stuff on draft including a few local favorites. Service was a little slow and standoffish and believe me it was DEAD in here; there was maybe one other couple. The poutine I had as an appetizer tasted good and had some nice touches like crispy burned cheese on top. The sauce was tasty and well apportioned. It was a decent portion size for the price. We would have stayed for dinner based on the food quality had it not been for the tense atmosphere.

Prolly one of the best food I have had. But by far the worse service ever. Hilary was our server. She had an attitude the entire time, never cleaned the table, didn't check in only but once. Granted I had my 2 year old with me. The hostess got snappy because we asked to sit at the bench than the bar due to my toddler. I won't recommend this place till they can clean up their staff.

Meh. Just meh. There's really no other way to describe. I've tried eating here several time and have been disappointed. Slow service (even when there's no one there) and really overpriced for what you're getting. The HH drinks and burger deals might be worth it I suppose. Unless you're coming for that, be prepared to be disappointed.

Bar 145 left me wondering a few things. Why are well drinks so expensive? Who wants to eat a burger in a club atmosphere? Why can't a get a normal plate of fries that aren't covered in truffle oil? I can here for a work fundraiser. Okay, so maybe that's why some of the cocktails were silly expensive. So maybe that's why the place was cast in a red hue? Or is that how it always is? I just was confused. I ordered a burger because I heard that was what one should get here. I did like that there was a little check list where you can see all your options at once. Am I unsophisticated or are truffle fries kinda...not all that? And they are more expensive for, like, very little benefit? Maybe I'm being a grinch, but I'm not all about stuff being bougie for no reason. I guess I'm just more of a dive bar girl. This place is sleek and has, like, seven different aiolis (fancy mayo, IMHO). It has 3 stats for the mere fact that the burger was pretty delicious.

I love this place! Build your own burger on Wednesday for $5, plus happy hour drinks, you can't go wrong. The truffle fries were also very good. The hamburger was tender, juicy and made to my taste, so how could I not like it. I will be back often, although I will have to work out more. I also had the flirtini to drink, delicious! Nice atmosphere as well.

I haven't been on this side of town in a while and man have things really changed with some nice new developments in the area. This place is really nice, big open atmosphere, lots of space and seating. They have an upstairs sitting loft around the perimeter of the building and a nice outdoor bar, and very large indoor bar. Stage up front near the kitchen. They have a lot of live entertainment, but I was there earlier in the evening for an afterwork event. The drinks here we're good, especially the drink of the month I had. The menu here is great, and so were the Chix and waffles! I look forward to coming here again, can't wait to try something else off the menu.

Heres a nice little insight that I probably shouldn't disclose... but I will, on Sundays, Roosters/Bw3s are jam packed and you are pretty much stuck watching the TVs in your view. Very few people know that Bar145 has Sunday Ticket and it is typically pretty empty. They also have amazing burgers, let your creativity run wild and throw something different on there! Wednesday nights are $5 burger night, which is an excellent value based on the size/quality of the burger. Give it a shot next time you are in Grandview!- Carson

This place really is good. The overall experience is enjoyable. We went for Thursday Nigh Football and the atmosphere and TVs were great. Perfect for Football! Our server was great. She was super attentive and knowledgeable. The craft beer and liquor selection was great too. Now the food. We ordered the fried green beans and you should too. They're not too breaded and the chili sauce was great. I ordered the burger of the month- it was a BBQ pulled pork sandwich. It wasn't the best I've ever had but that's what I get for getting BBQ at a burger joint. My boyfriend ordered a make-your-own and it was delicious! The variety of toppings make for something much better than a regular old cheeseburger. I was really excited about the Maple Bacon Mac n' Cheese because I love mac more than most things in life. The cavatappi always makes for a more mature version of the classic, but it was a bit soupy for my liking. Less maple and more bacon please! And for all the women out there who have had to deal with terrible bathrooms. This was great. No need to say more.

I really enjoyed myself here. The menu was creative and they even have a build your own entree option on a clipboard where you check boxes for the items you want. They have very innovative bourbon cocktails in particular. Their beer cheese is delicious but they serve it with too few pretzels and there was a ton left. We also ordered the charcuterie with duck confit and salami with Parmesan cheese and Gorgonzola with seasonal berries. The bread that came with it was wonderful. The parking lot is small but they offer overflow parking which is less than ideal. Also, they have a stage for live music although, no one was playing when we were there.

Great atmosphere, great bartenders and servers. I recommend the truffle fries and the house Manhattan!

Bf and I were looking for a bar after dinner and decided to pop in for a drink at Bar 145, Grandview's new spot. Parking was tricky, but I get it. We were there at peak hours and they've only been open a couple weeks. We finally parked behind Bdubs and walked over. At first glance this place is not my style. They're going for the city-trendy look (as opposed to industrial-trendy or modern-trendy I guess) and there was a black, white, silver and red color palette that screamed kind of 2003 to me. They have 2 floors, a main bar and an upstairs dining area that can be reserved for private parties. I was actually really surprised they got 2 floors in here, you'd never be able to tell from the outside. There's a stage, big 'U' shaped bar and lots of tables. Bf and I found the last 2 open spots at the bar and bellied up. Our bartender was super nice and on top of things, so that was very appreciated. They all have to wear red Chuck Taylors and a shirt with the tagline "Red Chucks, White China", which I guess is a nod to casual fine dining but yeah, a little cheesy. I tried one of their signature drinks, The Angry Bird, which was Angry Orchard cider with some add-ins like vodka, mint, cinnamon and some other stuff they claim "a secret". It was REALLY REALLY good. Also, $8 so I only had a couple before moving on to beer. I noticed my beer was expired (Kona, ok maybe not a top seller), but then bf's Bud Light was expired. By like 2 months. Kind of unsettling since they haven't been open that long. I just picture my beer getting warm in someone's garage or basement somewhere. Meh. There was a 90s cover band that started at 10:30. It'd be cool if each set lasted longer than their sound check. But, I love the 90s so I did enjoy when they were actually playing. I think this will be a good spot for the crowd who outgrew Park Street and wants somewhere to drink with their bros. We'll probably return, but I don't think it's on our list of faves.

The first 2-3 times I came here I was not a fan. I ordered the chicken and waffles once and it was... Just kind of bland. Not the super sweet and savory combo I was hoping for. I have also ordered the Mac&cheese and although hey make all of their food to order, it tasted as if everything was "old" or sitting out. Butttt on a good note.. The burgers are the way to go!!!! I did the build your own and it has endless options you cannot go wrong. Also, the burger was cooked perfectly. I came on a Tuesday but I bet a burger on a Friday/Saturday with their band line-up would be prime.

This place is embarrassing...half hour to take our order, hour and a half to receive "some" of our order, had one beverage in a two hour span and one of our friends didn't even receive their food. We complained to the manager and he said he would take some items off of our check. 15 minutes later we still didn't have our check so we decided to just leave. Such a shame because food is decent. If this place was free I wouldn't go.

This was my second time to this joint, the only reason I am giving 3 stars is due to my fabulous experience from the first visit. Wednesday is definitely the day you want to go, $5 burgers compared to their regularly priced of $10-$12 (extra toppings will also rack the price up) Awesome location, ample amount of parking after 6pm in the back, large inside and nice size patio with bar outside as well. On Wednesdays beginning at 7 they have live musical entertainment. I always start out with their fries for appetizer (the house truffle fries) which are seasoned with Parmesan, fried garlic cloves, rosemary and white truffle, served with red pepper aioli. They are the bomb.com They offer a unique way to order in which you mark off your selections on the papers provided that have all the main plate selections, topping selections, dressing selections and the side selections. Hand your paper to the server and you're done ordering. Makes you feel like you have a handle of the situation. My last time there however I felt like the stoners had just put out their joints and forgot how to read when they made my burger. ..I asked for a medium cook and it came out damn near rare. The waitress was nice and said she would show and tell her manager, who looked younger than my 26 year old self...he didn't even come to the table to apologize or see if they could accommodate in any other way. F for customer service. ..and I have no idea how he still holds a management position. Very authentic hamburgers, the salads are healthy and the drinks look great ( I think i saw one on the menu that was an oreo martini). My first trip was amazing but had I visited for my first time on my second trip, it would be 0 stars and a never to return for me. You're lucky Bar 145 that it wasn't my first rodeo with you.

The burgers and fries were awesome. I can't wait to have this giant brownie that I smuggled home with me. Service was fun and friendly. The prices were fair. $20 per person.

We went hoping for some great burgers. We went in the early evening before any music started. Even without much of a crowd, this place proved to be a real disappointment. The burgers were REALLY disappointing. The meat was small, dry and overcooked. Even if the cost were the same, I would have rather had a double cheeseburger from McDonald's across the street. And of course, the cost is not the same. The burger at McDonald's is $1, whereas my burger was $12. My wife ordered a burger with blue cheese. It came with the least blue cheese I have ever seen served. One might imagine that they thought she didn't want any blue cheese and tried to scrape it off. There was that little. Even without much of a crowd, the service was sub-par. I couldn't get a drink refill for the last half of my meal. I can't imagine any reason to go back. If you are looking for a good burger, try somewhere else.

Unfortunately nothing has changed. Good food. Really good food. Service is bad. Not the servers' fault. Kitchen is slow. Not enough help. I have never seen a mgr or an owner. Get out of Toledo and come here. Currently have waited 55 mins for food. Again servers are at the mercy of others.

Just visited here for the first time last night, which I was very excited about because I follow them on Facebook, so I always see they have things going on (Live Music, etc.). We got there and it was about a 30 minute wait for a seat, so we went and had a few drinks at the bar while we were waiting. All the bartenders we spoke to were friendly and very attentive to their guests. Once we were seated, we began looking at the menu as well as the drink list to see what else we wanted to try out! It had to of been our waitress's first day, if not, the person hiring should have passed over her application. She didn't even introduce herself to us and with the loud music playing I had to put her sentences together myself because she was talking at a normal level which no one could hear. She never seemed to know how to speak to us and was extremely awkward and uncomfortable. She was like a baby bird with two broken wings. They had a special on the build your own burgers ($5.00 Burgers & Martinis), so we all decided to go that route, but ordered some appetizers. We ordered the truffle fries, which was my favorite part of the entire dinner! They were phenomenal, I could have eaten the entire basket. We also ordered the pretzel bites, those seemed a little dry and the dipping sauce was very runny, but they weren't terrible, everyone finished them off. My friend ordered a martini since they were $5.00, but be aware if you come during that special; they have many different martinis and only 5 or 6 of them are the special pricing. When the waitress brought of final/paid receipts she literally placed them on the table and walked away! No thank-you or have a nice night, Thanks for visiting, etc. Other than the waitress, we will definitely be back! I don't think she can last in that atmosphere much longer. We loved the food. The Live music was great, as well as the atmosphere.

Had lunch here today, and I enjoyed it. There are almost too many options, and I can never make a decision. First, I had the angry bird cocktail. Gross. It was sour, definitely not what I was expecting. My friend had a Bloody Mary that the server talked up - also gross. We couldn't put our finger on why, but it was either missing something, or had too much of something. I also had to send back my iced tea because it tasted like chemicals (I hate doing this as I've been a server, and I don't like being a difficult customer to please, but I couldn't stand it). Our food was pretty good, though. We did the "stack your own burger" that they offer as a lunch deal (with a drink and side for $10) very cool concept, they have you pick from a list what you want and check off your choices with a pencil/paper. There are so many options! I went with the black bean veggie burger, with the iceberg lettuce "bun" with tomato, roasted onion, pickle, fresh mozzarella, and balsamic aioli with a side of fried brussel sprouts. So good! My friend got the turkey breast on iceberg with bacon and cheddar with a side of fried green beans, which she also loved. Server was super nice/friendly. They have a cool (but small) patio that would be nice on a hot day. Might be back, definitely wouldn't be at the top of my list of places to go.

So, anytime a concept classifies itself as a "gastropub" I've gotta try it. Bar 145 had a Groupon so we decided it was a great night to venture to Grandview for dinner. First thought: it's a Sports Bar. There were no less than 15 big screens in the place. We were greeted and told to "grab a seat anywhere, someone will be right with you". There were about 20 patrons in the place. It was perfect patio weather so we took a seat outside. We sat outside for 13 minutes before anyone approached us. What? and... what is the rule about smoking near an entrance again? I get that we were on the patio... but we took a seat a few feet from the door and were still gulping down cigarette smoke from all directions as it seemed like every single table was smoking. When the server from a few tables over finally noticed us he asked "has anyone helped you yet?" we said no... he made a weird face and just walked away. A few minutes after that we got up and went inside to the bar, still with no service. I probably would have walked out, but we had already purchased the Groupon. As we sat at the bar...still waiting... the confused server from the patio came back by us and asked if we were indeed waiting. We said yes... he apologized stating that he had his own tables but he told our supposed server that we were out there. He said he would have offered to help us himself if he did not have a huge table already because "it's more money for me, you know". Again, what? Finally, the bartender comes around and asks what he's apologizing for. We explained...she just rolled her eyes. The entire time she would strut by and complain to us about her takeout order that made her too busy, or the other customers that were annoying her. We ordered. *I will say, the draft menu was outstanding - lot's of craft and local brews. The cocktail menu was definitely enticing. We had the truffle fries, maple bacon mac and the ham skillet - all of which were delicious.* In the end, the bartender did comp our drinks, and with the Groupon our tab came to zero. I asked her to run my card so I could give her a tip. She snatched my card and rolled her eyes again. Soooooo... do you NOT want a tip? Cause... you were kinda terrible at your job anyway. At this point, I would have expected a manager to stop by and offer an apology or explanation...anything. Overall, I feel like the only people who know how to do their job at this place are the cooks. 3 stars for great food, but GODAWFUL service. I won't be back . Columbus has great food elsewhere, at real gastropubs with staff that has some class.

I dined at Bar 145 with my boyfriend last Sunday afternoon. I'll be honest, I had low expectations and had it pinned as "just another sports bar". Pleasantly surprised by the creative and tempting burger combinations, I studied the menu thoroughly. After much debate, I ordered the Americana Burger. It was lovely! A perfect juicy burger dressed with lettuce, tomato, fresh onions, and melted American cheese, all served between a soft brioche bun. My partner in dine had the Benedict Burger which came open-faced with an egg on top. I could tell the knife-and-fork burger concept was hard for him, but he said it was very flavorful and exactly what he wanted. I love that all the burgers are served with fresh Truffle Fries and Aioli. The Truffle Fries really elevate Bar 145 above basic sports bar grub. And for about $10/burger, I felt like I was getting a fair deal.

This bar is like Bdubs with less tvs. Not my vibe. I had a decent Fat Head IPA and I listened to a band with saxophones and trumpets in their repertoire (I approve) but I doubt I'll be back. Is this more of a judgment on the clientele than the establishment? .....yes. But it's like the chicken or the egg quandary. I don't know who to blame.

Apple Brie Flatbread is the star Enjoyed a meal from here with the coworkers today. We ordered for carryout which was tougher than it should have been because they are currently updating the menu and some items we wanted were no longer available. We ordered the starter salad, sweet potato wedges, lobster mac & cheese, and apple and brie flatbread. The salad was really small. It came with a decent vinegarette, but not a large enough portion to share as planned. The sweet potato wedges were big and about 6 of them. They were not that flavorful though, tasted like a baked sweet potato with no seasoning. The lobster mac and cheese had big clumps of lobster and plenty of cheese. It was pretty well executed, but since the lobster was not baked in the cheese you had to stack the ingredients. The star dish was the apple brie flatbread. It was absolutely amazing, everything about it. Sweet and savory. If it was the only thing I had from here the place would get a 4. Unfortunately other lackluster dishes pull the rating down

We tend to go here every Wednesday burger night that we can. Starting at $5 you get to customize your burger with lots of choices and toppings. I'm a big fan of the pretzel bun. One of the few places that actually cooks my burger the way I order it. I always order medium rare and at most places receive a burger that is well-done but that usually doesn't happen here. If you like cream cheese they have a few options for it and you should seriously try it. I don't know why it's not more common to put cream cheese on a burger because it is delicious! The Truffle fries with red pepper aioli are phenomenal and you need to get them. On Wednesday nights they also have a happy hour list and I typically splurge on their $5 Dirty Martini. The last time we went we also tried their pretzel bites. For $7 it basically came down to $1 a bite. They were small bites and the cheese sauce was runny and nothing special. Because we had so few bites we ended up with a huge bowl of watery cheese sauce that we couldn't use. We won't be ordering the bites again but we will be back since we love their burgers and fries!

I had the Grilled Cheese Burger, maple mac and cheese and the truffle fries. Grilled Cheese Burger was great! I loved it. Maple Mac and Cheese - I was not a fan of it, but I see some good reviews. It was different, I just couldn't get over the sweetness of something I prefer to be salty. I do remember in college someone added sugar to their mac and cheese and I always thought it was odd. Probably the same reason I didn't like it. If you are the type of person that would do that - You would probably love it! So if nothing else take a bite of someone that orders it at your table. Truffle Fries - were good. They had a good beer and bourbon selection. I had a bourbon flight. Three decent size shots for $15. I had a $3 shandy - which was great, they must have been trying to get rid of the keg to bring in fall beer. Overall the experience was good. Great look and atmosphere. I imagine it would be pretty cool if there was a live band.

I love the food here! $5 burger night on Wednesdays is such a deal. I would give five stars but this place can be a little bit bro-tastic. They also have the live music cranked up way too loud for 7 pm on a weekday. I'm fine if you want it loud late at night or on weekends but most people are coming to enjoy dinner AND conversation, not just screaming "what" over the table all night. I always request to sit as far away from the stage as possible.
