There are really only three kinds of Starbucks locations: With good service, with bad service, and with angry badgers. Fortunately this location falls under the first category. The coffee is always good and the folks behind the counter are friendly. Watch out though, you never know when the badgers will stop being friendly... MUSHROOMS MUSHROOMS!

It's Starbucks, what can I say. If you don't know what to expect from a Starbucks, you haven't been paying very much attention to life. I met a friend of my wife's here to talk. I'm not much of a coffee drinker so I just ordered a coke....think it may have been a Mountain Dew (my favorite!). We had a good talk. Then she bought me....I think it's called a Chia? Whatever it was called, it was good. Best tea I've ever had. Yeah, like I said. Starbucks. Mahalo, and enjoy.

Location, location, location, right? This Starbucks is an oasis if you're heading west. Having just navigated the idiocy that is Beechmont avenue, it's the reward for not giving in to road rage. If you are heading east, it's your last refuge before...well..the Atlantic ocean. And built on the former site of the El Rancho Rankin hotel (rooms by the hour), the coffee tastes a little adventurous. In a good way.

I know... reviewing Starbucks... So generic! I've been to a lot of Starbucks in my life and have learned a few things: the staff either is terrible or they are friendly and inviting. The staff at the Skytop Starbucks is nothing short of the latter. They are attentive, make casual conversation and suggest menu items when you are indecisive. There isn't really anything special to say about the food other then they make it right every time here. I've never had them mess up an order. My favorite part about this location is the ample indoor and outdoor seating. They have a large table great for groups too! It's not on the way to work by any means for me but the calm atmosphere, friendly staff, and ample seating will keep me a regular. PRO TIP- my first time here I got a speeding ticket on beechmont leaving here. there are cops EVERYWHERE in this area so be careful.

I forgot about Luckmans Coffee next door and mistakenly called ahead my order as I was pressed for time. The staff enthusiastically told me "we did it this time but we won't be taking your orders ahead of time from now on." I said, "no problem I'll visit Luckmans next door from now on as they welcome my business and have better tasting espresso and even better prices, why should I ever come back? Thanks for the reminder." Service. A lost art. Do you ever wonder why Starbucks has stumbled lately?
