A Cincinnati native, I know my chili. Cincinnati chili, that is. This location specifically always has kind staff, and is family friendly. I ordered the large 5-way (chili, beans, onions, spaghetti) with 2 specifications: Habanero cheese (delicious & spicy) and "Juicy", which means they don't drain the chili before putting it on your noodles. It's so big, I split it with another person. It was delicious - and like most Skylines, came out in wicked fast time. The coneys are always a plus - must get them with everything (onions & mustard), and again the habanero cheese. Ordered a kid's vanilla cone (50 cents), and a York peppermint patty (25 cents) on the way out. A west side staple, I will continue to come every time I'm home.

Ranked high among other Skylines I've been to in the area. I went here with some friends the other night for an early dinner. We had great service, a nice waitress, and fast food. The place was half full but we got our food very fast! It's a chain restaurant that actually has consistent food quality. In other words, I haven't had a problem expecting the same quality of food whenever I go to a Skyline. Thus, when I go to chains like this, I'm more interested in service and staff (again, assuming the food is consistent). Seriously, here it was like our waitress could read our minds -- not a required skill but one she definitely had. I wish I remembered her name to give her a shout out! In any case, everyone here seemed to leave happy and full. (I always think I can eat more here but end up leaving stuffed no matter what!)

Born and raised Cincinnatian who moved away for school. ALWAYS my first stop when I make it back home. If you're from Cincinnati you know there are good locations and bad locations. This is a good one. Not quite on the level of The Clifton one but it's close. This is the closest location to my house so it's where I frequent.

Our first time here and hugely disappointed. Chili is the theme right? So the chili should be stellar, right? Wrong! Chili was horrible. THe staff was all nice and the place was clean. There was no wait at 6:30 Saturday night. Hubby had a tuna wrap that he liked a lot but I had hoped the chili would at least be one of their highlights. I'd compare the food to a school cafeteria. So sorry...wish them well!

I know die hard fans (Cincinnatians as a whole?) will think that it's wrong to criticize such an institution, but minus a cheese coney about once a year and a bite of a 4-way, there is really no appeal in this 'chili' for me. I'm pretty sure I've mouthed off about the lack of chili-ness inherent in this dish (beans, veggies, texture) for me, so I'll save that rant. I tend to order the buffalo chicken salad with a side of bleu cheese dressing. It's good. Not great. But certainly edible enough when others want their Skyline. The waitresses here are friendly, quick, and pleasant. In a fast food setting, this is a bonus. No hate here, just not a lot of love, either. A-ok sums it up, sorry Cincinnati.

It's Skyline.. They are all pretty much the same. This one is fast, clean and never had a problem here. If you have never had Cincinnati Chili.. This is one of the locations to go too!

I do not eat Skyline often but when I do I enjoy going to the Glenway location because of the waitress with the amazing hair! I know, I know, that sounds silly, but this girls hair is so amazing. Truly. Skyline, generally speaking, is quick, fresh, and cheap. I have had good experiences at most locations I have visited and will continue as a part of the Cincinnati tradition. This location seems a bit cleaner than most.

Skyline is a tradition in Cincinnati. It was here before Gold Star btw.... But if you're going to truly eat at Skyline THIS is the one you must go to. It was the 2nd Skyline ever opened in Cincinnati. Skyline was born on the West side and the first was just up the street right as Warsaw turns into Glenway. That store was torn down. It was named Skyline because there was view of the Cincinnati skyline from that first store. This particular restaurant has servers who have been there for over 20 years. Their customer service is great and this one has a drive thru that is dangerous for me after a very bad day at work. My fav: dry 3-way...or chili cheese fries. Skyline's fries are a secret - they are outstanding.

So, being in Cincinnati on my way through the state to Chicago, I figured (and as you can tell from my reviews) I had to stop and grab what the area was known for. Skyline Chili. Everyone always talks about this place, anytime Cincinnati is brought up. Here's my honest opinion. It was good. I had some chili cheese fries, which were good, and then a cheese coney, which was better, and then a bowl of chili on its own. Growing up in South Florida, and to a more southern family, I was used to the chunkier, thicker chili's, which Skyline is not. It completely took my by surprise. Now it was good, but it wasn't great to me, and I think that's because I just wanted more meat and beans and less spices from my chili. If your into this kind of chili, a more liquid, less meaty type, then this will be heaven for you. This location had outstanding service, and I never wanted for anything, and the food flies out. I've heard mixed reviews on the franchised ones, but this is still family owned, so make sure you go here. Overall, 4 stars, and not because there was really anything wrong with it, but because I'm just a fan of the more southern Chili. Either way, still worth the experience!
